The population of this study was all employees at the Ulu Musi Sub-District Office in Empat Lawang Regency, with a sample of 32 people. The sample selection was done using probability sampling with a saturated sample. This study used two independent variables, namely Work Motivation (X1) and Work Discipline (X2), and the dependent variable is Employee Performance (Y). The data collected will be analyzed using data analysis methods, which will first test the classical assumptions before testing the hypothesis. The hypothesis testing in this study uses multiple linear regression with partial testing and simultaneous F testing with a significance level of 0.005%. The results obtained from this study indicate that the variables of Work Motivation and Work Discipline partially influence the Performance of Employees at the Ulu Musi Sub-District Office in Empat Lawang Regency, as seen from the t-test, where the independent variables have a positive effect on performance. Meanwhile, the results of the simultaneous F-test show that Work Motivation and Work Discipline influence the Performance of Employees at the Medan Kota Sub-District Office. Work Motivation and Work Discipline explain 44.0% of the performance variable, while the remaining 56.0% is influenced by other factors outside the variables of Work Motivation and Work Discipline described in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of micro and macro factors on the success of young entrepreneurs in Bengkulu City. This research is quantitative in nature, with a sample of 30 young entrepreneurs in Bengkulu City. Data were collected using questionnaires, and the analytical methods used were multiple linear regression, partial tests, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study show that the micro factor variable has a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05 or a t-count value greater than the t-table value (4.292 > 2.051). This means that the first hypothesis (H1) is accepted because partially the micro factor (X1) has a significant effect on the success of young entrepreneurs in Bengkulu City (Y). The macro factor variable (X2) has a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05 or a t-count value greater than the t-table value (3.817 > 2.051). This means that the second hypothesis (H2) is accepted because partially the macro factor (X2) has a significant effect on the success of young entrepreneurs in Bengkulu City (Y). Based on the results of simultaneous hypothesis testing. With an F-value of 165.103 >3.354, it indicates that simultaneously the micro factor variable (X1) and the macro factor variable (X2) have a positive and significant effect on the success of young entrepreneurs in Bengkulu City (Y).

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: 1) to describe and analyze effective recruitment management strategies to produce quality police personnel; 2) to describe and analyze the factors that influence the effectiveness of recruitment management for the Bengkulu Regional Police personnel; and 3) to describe and analyze solutions for overcoming the factors that affect the effectiveness of recruitment management for personnels of the Bengkulu Regional Police. This research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used data triangulation based on Miles and Huberman's theory, namely data reduction, data display, and verification/conclusion. The results of this study indicate: the recruitment management strategy for the Bengkulu Regional Police personnel has been directed toward the principles of professionalism, transparency, accountability, and responsiveness to the local context. The planning stage becomes an important foundation because it determines the alignment between personnel needs and the dynamics of community security and social conditions. Recruitment implementation, marked by the application of digitization, the BETAH principles, and involvement of external stakeholders, demonstrates the seriousness of the National Police in building a selection process that is accountable and open. Meanwhile, the evaluation carried out comprehensively, participatively, and oriented toward continuous improvement makes the recruitment process not only function as a technical selection mechanism but also as an organizational learning tool. The factors supporting the success of the recruitment strategy include national regulations, leadership support, interagency synergy, availability of adequate resources, community involvement, and the quality of the recruitment team and internal supervisors. However, there are still obstacles such as negative public perceptions of the police profession, limited digital literacy among prospective candidates, technical barriers in implementing computer-based systems, and limited access to information in rural areas. Efforts by the Bengkulu Regional Police to overcome these obstacles are visible through improved public communication quality, provision of adaptive technological solutions, and intensive internal coordination.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of improving employee performance as a key factor in achieving organizational goals at PT. Mitra Puding Mas’s palm oil mill. Employee performance is influenced by several internal factors, particularly leadership style, job loyalty, and work motivation. An effective leadership style can guide and influence employee behavior; job loyalty reflects commitment to the company; and work motivation serves as a driving force in improving productivity and work quality. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style, job loyalty, and work motivation on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method via a questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS, accompanied by validity and reliability tests, as well as hypothesis testing via t-tests and F-tests. The results of the study indicate that leadership style and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while job loyalty has a significant negative effect on employee performance. Collectively, leadership style, job loyalty, and work motivation have a significant effect on employee performance at PT. Mitra Puding Mas’s palm oil mill. These findings suggest that improving leadership style and work motivation can enhance employee performance, while job loyalty needs to be managed more effectively to contribute optimally to improved employee performance.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the development of food inflation and Farmers’ Terms of Trade (FTT) in Indonesia and to analyze the effect of food inflation on FTT during the 2024–2025 period. Methodology: This study employed a quantitative approach using secondary monthly time-series data obtained from official publications of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and the Ministry of Agriculture. Descriptive analysis was used to examine the development of food inflation and FTT, while simple linear regression was applied to assess the effect of food inflation on FTT during the observation period. Results: The results show that food inflation fluctuated throughout the observation period and tended to decline toward the end of 2025. Meanwhile, national FTT remained above 100 and increased from 123.67 in January 2025 to 125.35 in December 2025. The regression analysis produced a positive coefficient of 0.048, indicating a positive relationship between food inflation and FTT. However, the effect was not statistically significant, as indicated by a significance value of 0.915. Findings: The findings indicate that food inflation alone was insufficient to explain changes in Farmers’ Terms of Trade during the observation period. Although food inflation showed a positive relationship with FTT, its effect was statistically insignificant. This suggests that other economic, agricultural, and structural factors may have played a more important role in determining farmers’ economic conditions. Novelty & Originality: The novelty of this study lies in its empirical examination of the relationship between food inflation and Farmers’ Terms of Trade in Indonesia using monthly time-series data covering the 2024–2025 period. Its originality derives from linking changes in food price inflation to farmers’ relative economic welfare as reflected by FTT at the national level, providing recent empirical evidence on the extent to which food price dynamics are associated with farmers’ economic conditions. Conclusions: The study concludes that food inflation had a positive but statistically insignificant relationship with Farmers’ Terms of Trade during the observation period. Therefore, policies aimed at improving farmers’ economic welfare should not focus solely on food inflation but should also consider agricultu ral   commodity prices, production costs, weather conditions, distribution systems, and agricultural policies. Type of Paper: This paper is an empirical research paper.
