Abstract

The research motivation is the low outcomes of learning in physics students at SMA N 13 Padang because learning is still focused on the teacher, the teacher has not used a learning model that makes students active in learning, handout materials for teaching are rarely used by teachers in the process of learning and the assessment carried out is still not carrying out authentic and overall assessment. The solution used is to apply project-based learning-based handouts equipped with portfolio assessment to increase outcomes of learning in physics of students. This research purposes is to see whether there is a positive impact of applying project-based learning-based handouts equipped with portfolio assessments on the learning outcomes of SMA N 13 Padang students. The research type conducted is a pseudo-experiment with a design for research Randomized Posstest Only Control Group Design. The population for research were total students of class XI Phase F SMA N 13 Padang who were enrolled in the 2023/2024 school year. Sampling was conducted using technique of Cluster Random Sampling. The samples of this research were class XI F3 as the class for experimental and class XI F4 as the class for control with the same number of class members. The research data includes student outcomes of learning in physics in the aspect of knowledge (cognitive). The research instrument was a learning outcome test. The technique for data analysis used is test of normality, homogeneity and hypothesis at the real level of 0.05. According on analysis of data, the average outcomes of learning in physics of students in the knowledge aspect in the class for experimental is 76 higher than the class for control which is 67. Hypothesis testing of the posstest conducted th < tt where 2.294 < 1.666 so the result is reject for H0 and accept for H1, so the conclusion that in the research the effect of project-based learning-based handouts equipped with portfolio assessment has a positive impact on the outcomes of learning in physics of students in class XI Phase F SMA N 13 Padang on the knowledge aspect with a real level of 0.05.

Abstract

The objective of the research were to know the personality of Chris McCandless as protagonist by analyzing the evidence from the dialogues and his actions in the movie. And to know what the causing factors of Chris’s personality, the writer used the method in this paper is descriptive-qualitative. The writer focused the dialogues of the movie script, and then analyzing the characteristic using characterization theory based on structuralism and then identified the personality using Big Five Personality by Paul Costa and Robert McCrae. The writer finds out that final result about the personality and the causing factors of Chris McCandless as protagonist. From the analysis, the writer concludes that the personality of the protagonist in Sean Penn Movie’s Into the Wild based on the Big Five Personality is that the protagonist has a high level of Openness to Experience. and the factors that cause the personality trait are the social and cultural factors that influence the personality of the protagonist.

Abstract

Serampang Dua Belas was the characteristic dance of Malay Deli in North Sumatera. This study was aimed at describing and revealing the local wisdom in Serampang Dua Belas dance. This study used the qualitative method. The researcher traced various journals related to the context theory of anthropolinguistics and semiotics use in language for study of its substance. The source of the data in this study was obtained from the twelve movements contained in the Serampang Dua Belas dance. The data was obtained from the record archives of Serampang Dua Belas dance at Istana Maimoon. In analyzing the data, qualitative analysis method was applied based on theory proposed Bogdan and Taylor. The result of the study showed that there were eleventh movements in Serampang Dua Belas dance which every step had its own meaning telling the story about the process of meeting a soul mate right up to the marriage. The meanings of each step were the first love, crush on, falling in love, crazy in love, the sign of love, love in return, looking for the truth, persisting the feeling, giving the answer, proposing, the bride meeting and the marriage.

Abstract

BSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya perilaku keagamaan siswa dalam sehari-harinya di sekolah. Sedangkan tujuan penelitian yakni 1) Untuk mengetahui ada hubungan atau tidaknya antara disiplin belajar siswa terhadap perilaku keagamaan siswa di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Ujung Batu Kabupaten Rokan Hulu, 2) Untuk mengetahui seberapa besar tingkat hubungan antara disiplin belajar siswa terhadap perilaku keagamaan siswa di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Ujung Batu Kabupaten Rokan Hulu. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara disiplin belajar terhadap perilaku keagamaan siswa di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Ujung Batu Kabupaten Rokan Hulu, hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil uji t hitung yakni 5.08 lebih besar dari t tabel (5,08>1,671), maka dapat dinyatakan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nihil (H0) di tolak. Seberapa besar tingkat hubungan antara disiplin belajar terhadap perilaku keagamaan siswa di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Ujung Batu Kabupaten Rokan Hulu yakni sebesar 28,4%, sedangkan sisanya 71,6% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter penting diterapkan dalam setiap mata pelajaran terutama pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam, karena pendidikan agama berisi panduan nilai-nilai religius. Dalam penerapan karakter siswa di SD Islam Terpadu Nizhammudin memiliki faktor pendukung, bahkan juga ditemukan faktor penghambatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analitis. Data digali melalui guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dan beberapa siswa SD Islam Terpadu Nizhammuddin. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi. Hingga dianalisis dengan teknik analisis triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat program pembiasaan ibadah di lingkungan sekolah baik secara mandiri atau berkelompok. Pendukung dalam pendidikan karakter ini yaitu dikontrol langsung oleh guru, minat belajar siswa yang tinggi, dan praktek dilakukan secara langsung. Sedangkan hambatan yang ditemukan berupa waktu pertemuan yang sedikit, sarana dan prasarana yang belum memadai, dan jumlah siswa yang banyak tidak terkontrol semua.

Abstract

Mamakiah activities are an important aspect of santri education in traditional surau. Mamakiah is an activity for students to leave the mosque and go around the surrounding villages to ask alms from the community. Mamakiah's main goal is to meet the educational needs of underprivileged students, such as buying books and other learning equipment. In addition, mamakiah also provides opportunities for students to socialize with the surrounding community and add insight through direct interaction with the community. In the context of classic Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, mamakiah activities are still carried out by santri. Unique activities certainly have certain values ​​and goals. This study aims to find out what the values ​​and goals of mamakiah activities are. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Sources of data were taken from five informants through in-depth interviews. The research findings show that there are four important aspects in mamakiah activities: i) bringing students and society closer together, ii) strengthening the character and toughness of students, iii) means of da'wah for students, iv) continuing the classical Islamic boarding school education system in a sustainable manner. The results of this study are expected to provide a better understanding of the role of mamakiah in the education of students as well as the social, religious, and skills values ​​that can be acquired through this activity.

Abstract

This paper aims to answer the question of moderation in Islamic education, how the concept and implementation are. The research method used is a literature study approach with data analysis using meta-analysis. The results of the research analysis show that moderation in religion is an attitude and effort to make religion as a basis and principle to always avoid extremism (radicalism) and always look for a middle ground to unite all elements of society, nation, and state. While the indicators of moderation in religion consist of four indicators, namely: 1. National commitment 2. Tolerance 3. Anti-violence 4. Appreciation of local culture. Then in practice in Islamic education, moderation in religion must consider the following things: first, an interdisciplinary approach, second, the contextualization of Islamic messages. If moderation in religion is applied in madrasahs, it is very suitable because moderation (wasatiyyah) can be understood as a balance between strong beliefs and tolerance. Madrasahs are seen as one of the Islamic educational institutions that have relatively succeeded in instilling moderate Islam. Similarly, as pesantren as an Islamic educational institution begins to indicate the possibility of the emergence of radical ideas, then direct actualization can be carried out in the context of a multicultural society: First, making educational institutions as the basis of the laboratory of moderation in religion. Second, the approach of socio-religious moderation in religion and state. Keywords: Multicultural Society, Religious Moderation, Islamic Education Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjawab persoalan tentang moderasi beragama dalam Pendidikan Islam, bagaimanah konsep dan pelaksanaannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan penelitian studi pustaka dengan analisis data menggunakan meta analisis. Hasil analisis penelitian menunjukkan bahwa moderasi beragama merupakan sikap serta upaya menjadikan agama sebagai dasar dan prinsip agar selalu menghindarkan diri dari sikap yang ekstrem (radikalisme) dan selalu mencari jalan tengah menyatukan semua elemen masyarakat, berbangsa, dan bernegara. Sedangkan indicator moderasi beragama terdiri dari empat indicator yakni: 1. Komitmen kebangsaan 2. Toleransi 3. Anti kekerasan 4. Peghargaan terhadap budaya lokal. Kemudian pada praktiknya dalam Pendidikan Islam, moderasi beragama harus mempertimbangkan hal-hal berikut ini: pertama, Pendekatan interdisipliner, kedua, kontekstualisasi pesan-pesan Islam. Jika moderasi beragama diterapkan di madrasah sangat cocok karena moderasi (wasatiyyah) dapat dipahami sebagai keseimbangan antara keyakinan yang kokoh dengan toleransi. Madrasah dipandang sebagai salah satu institusi pendidikan Islam yang relatif berhasil menanamkan Islam yang moderat. Sama halnya dengan Pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam mulai terindikasi kemungkinan munculnya paham radikal, maka aktualisasi secara langsung dapat dilakukan dalam konteks masyarakat multikultural: Pertama, menjadikan lembaga pendidikan sebagai basis laboratorium moderasi beragama. Kedua, pendekatan moderasi sosio-religius dalam beragama dan bernegara. Kata kunci: Masyarakat Multikultural, Moderasi Beragama, Pendidikan Islam

Abstract

This research was carried out to improve the students’ present progressive tense through the Substitution Drill in the second year of SMPN 6 Tolitoli. The design of this research is classroom action research (CAR). This research uses a total sampling. The sample was 27 grade VIII students of SMPN 6 Tolitoli. The research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of three meetings. The data in this research were collected through tests and field notes. The research results show an improvement in students’ present progressive tense through substitution drills. Gradually, students got good scores at the end of each cycle. Skor Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) for English subjects is 75. The mean score of students in the pre-test was 29.61. The result of cycle 1 is that seven students, 26.92%, have achieved KKM; for students who have not reached KKM, consisting of 19 students, 73.08% of the learning outcomes have not improved. The mean score of post-test one cycle 1 was 64,42. The result of cycle 2 is that 25 students, 92,59%, have achieved KKM. The mean score of post-test two, cycle 2, was 81.48. The data above shows that present progressive tense learning substitution drills are effective. The conclusion is that substitution drills can improve students’ present progressive tense. Finally, it can be said that the Classroom Action Research (CAR) is a success.
