Abstract

AbstractCorruption in Indonesia remains a significant issue that threatens social and economic stability across both the central and regional government sectors. Despite various legal efforts, including increased penalties for corruption offenders, this practice continues to thrive. This study aims to explore the impact of a social-moral approach on reducing corruption rates in Indonesia by combining legal sanctions with religiously based social-moral movements. The research utilizes a consilience approach, integrating environmental policy, ethics, and social sciences with the principles of maqashid al-syariah. The findings suggest that the "dynamic" social-moral approach promoted by religious organizations has been effective in deterring corruption, strengthening law enforcement, and encouraging public participation in the fight against corruption. The implications of this research highlight the need to reinforce social morality and to adopt more transparent and just legal policies to address corruption in Indonesia. Keywords: social morality, approach, corruption, Islamic Law.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of zakat in promoting social justice and income redistribution in Indonesia, using BAZNAS National financial reports from 2022–2023 as a case study. Employing a descriptive quantitative approach, the research evaluates collection efficiency, distribution effectiveness, asnaf allocation, and the estimated impact on poverty and inequality. The findings show an 18.9% increase in zakat collection, though still low relative to national potential (CER 0.28%). Distribution effectiveness reached 78.24%, with the largest allocations assigned to the fakir and fisabilillah categories. The average transfer per beneficiary amounted to Rp619,380 (1.18× the national poverty line), indicating the effectiveness of zakat as a micro-level redistributive tool. However, its macro-level impact on reducing inequality remains limited. The results highlight the need for greater collection scale.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Cases of non-physical bullying (verbal and relational) that are difficult to detect remain a major issue at SMP Negeri 3 Kawunganten. Students’ reluctance to report incidents makes it challenging for the school to monitor covert bullying behaviors. Pre-observation results from five classes (7A–7E) revealed a discrepancy between the low number of reports on physical bullying and the high occurrence of non-physical bullying, while the school lacks a specific instructional program focused on bullying prevention. Based on these problems, this study aims to examine the process and effectiveness of implementing Digital Fable Learning as an intervention to strengthen anti-bullying character. This research employed a qualitative case study approach using observation, interviews, and documentation. The intervention used a digital fable titled “The Patient Duck”, implemented through three stages: planning, implementation, and reflection/follow-up. The findings indicate that digital fable learning is an effective and structured method for developing anti-bullying character. The intervention strengthened five core character aspects: empathy, respect and tolerance, responsibility, self-control, and moral courage. The conflict narratives in the fable stimulated students’ affective and cognitive awareness and encouraged bystander moral responsibility to report incidents and act fairly. These outcomes help the school identify non-physical bullying cases that are often hidden. The study recommends integrating digital fable learning into the curriculum and supporting it with a more structured digital reporting system.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of charismatic leadership in fostering cultural independence within Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), with a specific focus on Pondok Pesantren Nahdlatut Tholibin Blado Wetan in Probolinggo, Indonesia, under the leadership of KH. Ahsin Ahsanakallah. Islamic boarding schools are crucial in preserving cultural and religious values while adapting to modern challenges; however, their leadership often faces difficulties in balancing tradition and innovation. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with kiai, teachers, and students; participant observation; focus group discussions; and document analysis of pesantren archives and related literature. The data sources combine primary information from internal stakeholders and secondary materials from religious manuscripts and institutional documents. The analysis employed the Miles and Huberman model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and verification, complemented by triangulation to ensure validity. The research findings reveal that Kiai's leadership serves as a central figure in preserving the culture of the Islamic boarding school and guiding the students towards cultural independence. The study highlights that his leadership strategies, including internalising cultural values and mobilising community participation, strengthen the cultural autonomy of the Islamic boarding school. The Kiai acts as a "press agent" for the Islamic boarding school, using his public influence to enhance its visibility and reputation. This study contributes to the understanding of charismatic leadership in religious education and provides recommendations for enhancing leadership training in Islamic boarding schools, thereby preserving cultural heritage.

Abstract

PT DSV Solutions Indonesia Semarang Branch is a 3PL company engaged in warehousing logistics. The current condition is that the protector material storage still uses a randomized storage method and the GR (Good Receiving) method which rearranges the boxes into pallets. The current layout causes a fairly high displacement distance and has an impact on high material handling costs and the size of the blocks on the shelves that make the GR method long. The purpose of this study is to design a storage layout for protector (fast moving) materials using the class-based storage method to determine changes in displacement distance, material handling costs, and work efficiency and performing the GR (Good Receiving) process. Researchers used descriptive qualitative research methods with observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed the total distance of the initial displacement of the protector material was 16,172,250 m and the Material Handling Cost was Rp 109,971,300 and the GR process did not require rearrangement into pallets. The output of this research is that it can reduce the total distance of moving the protector material and streamline the distance of movement by 56% and streamline the Material Handling Cost by 56%. In the changed GR (Good receiving) method, it can raise the beam on the level 3 shelf, by 1.5m. The material protector storage layout can be said to be efficient using the class-based storage method when compared to the initial storage layout.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Descriptive text writing skills are an important competence in the Merdeka Curriculum Phase D, requiring students’ observational abilities and imaginative expression. However, assessment practices in schools still tend to focus on Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) and have not fully accommodated the demands of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). This study aims to formulate a comprehensive HOTS-based assessment instrument model for descriptive text writing. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method through the analysis of scholarly literature, language learning evaluation theories, and educational policy documents. Data were collected through documentation and analyzed using content analysis techniques, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with data validity strengthened through source triangulation. The findings indicate that HOTS-based writing assessment requires the development of cognitive indicators at the C4 level (analyzing the interrelationships among object details), C5 (evaluating the effectiveness of figurative language use), and C6 (creating original descriptive texts from a unique perspective). The formulated assessment instrument takes the form of an essay test based on visual stimuli, emphasizing authentic assessment and the use of at least three senses. The assessment rubric is analytical–holistic, with the highest weighting placed on diction and figurative language (40%) and text structure (30%). The conclusion of this study confirms that a HOTS-based descriptive text writing assessment instrument is capable of fostering students’ critical and creative thinking skills more optimally. Theoretically, this study enriches the conceptual framework of language learning evaluation, and practically, it serves as a reference for teachers in designing meaningful and challenging writing assessments.

Abstract

This community service activity is titled: Product Innovation of the Junok Milkfish Basket Group: Diversification of processed milkfish and halal certification assistance towards the Modern Market, it is important to answer the Asta Cita of President Prabowo Subianto's government, namely economic development to encourage the nation's independence from dependence on other countries through self-sufficiency in food, energy, water, creative economy, green economy, and economy blue, as well as development centered on downstreaming and strengthening the village economy. The Junok Al-Barokah milkfish basket group faces two main problems: First, traditional marketing is carried out without clear branding. Second, the problem of Junok milkfish production capacity is not optimal due to a less strategic marketing system. The efforts to improve the competitiveness of milkfish products carried out in Junok are consistent with the results of several studies and community service activities conducted elsewhere, including in Keputih, Surabaya, and in Kendal district by previous community service providers. It shows that ontologically, the benefits of diversifying milkfish products are understood. However, epistemologically, how can diversification and halal certification be implemented in other areas (Junok village in Madura) that have abundant natural resources for milkfish ponds and milkfish products? It is a novelty because no volunteer from any university or institution in the area has ever done it. It is the gap that needs answers and solutions. Thus, on an axiological level, this PKM activity addresses the need to improve the economy of Junok village in Sreseh sub-district. The Service Methodology is carried out through 4 key stages: Socialization, Training, Technology Application, and Evaluation and Reporting. The result of Abdimas's activities is that Abdimas Partners understands the brand identity and attractive packaging for Junok milkfish products, which have been successfully maintained through halal certification. In addition, they can apply equipment and technology to diversify product variants and develop marketing. Based on the evaluation results, the marketing of Junok milkfish, with its 3 processed variants, has increased sales to an average of 460kg from 250kg before the implementation of the Abdimas program.
