Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are disorders of the muscular and skeletal systems commonly experienced by workers due to unergonomic work postures, repetitive movements, long work durations, and unsupportive physical work environments. Batik artisans are among the workers at risk of developing MSDs because batik-making activities are static, repetitive, and performed over long periods. This study aims to determine the influence of ergonomic and physical work environment factors on musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) among batik artisans in Danau Teluk District. This study used a quantitative method with an observational analytical cross-sectional design. The study was conducted among batik artisans in Danau Teluk District, Jambi City, with a sample of 40 respondents using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews, observations, temperature and lighting measurements, and assessment of work posture using the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) method and MSD complaints using the Nordic Body Map (NBM). Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test and logistic regression at a 95% confidence interval. The study showed that 17 respondents (42.5%) experienced high-grade MSDs. There was a relationship between work posture (p-value = 0.001), work duration (p-value = 0.000), repetitive motion (p-value = 0.000), and lighting (p-value = 0.000) and the incidence of MSDs. Meanwhile, temperature had no relationship with the incidence of MSDs (p-value = 0.131). The results of the multivariate analysis showed that work posture was the most influential factor on the incidence of MSDs with a p-value = 0.006 and Exp(B) = 64.000. Ergonomic and physical work environment factors influence the incidence of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) among batik artisans in Danau Teluk District. Work posture is the dominant factor influencing the incidence of MSDs in batik artisans.

Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a public health problem with a continuously increasing prevalence, and it is higher in women than in men. This study aimed to analyze the risk factors for T2DM in women aged ≥15 years in Indonesia based on data from the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey. This study was a secondary data analysis with a cross-sectional design involving 346,760 women who met the inclusion criteria. Univariate and bivariate analyses were performed using the Chi-Square test with calculation of the Prevalence Odds Ratio (POR) at a 95% confidence level. The results showed the prevalence of T2DM was 1.3%. Factors significantly associated included age ≥40 years (POR=22.4), low education level (POR=1.34), unemployed status (POR=1.18), urban residence (POR=1.91), mild physical activity (POR=1.15), obesity (POR=1.27), and overweight (POR=1.27). Protective factors included vigorous physical activity (POR=0.77) and underweight BMI (POR=0.65), while marital status was not significantly associated (p=0.135). T2DM in women is a multifactorial disease influenced by the interaction of biological, social, behavioral, and environmental factors, thus requiring risk-based promotive and preventive interventions.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness and the supporting or inhibiting factors of Supreme Court Circular Letter (SEMA) No. 1 of 2023 regarding summons via registered mail at the Donggala Religious Court Class IB. This empirical juridical research uses a qualitative descriptive design. Data were gathered through observation, documentation, and interviews with judges, registrars, advocates, and litigants. The results show that the normative standing of SEMA No. 1 of 2023 is effective as an internally binding policy. It successfully accelerates case management, reduces court costs, and increases administrative transparency through digital tracking. Supporting factors include explicit administrative guidelines, cost efficiency, and robust institutional cooperation with the postal service. Inhibiting factors consist of inaccurate party addresses, geographical obstacles, and low digital or administrative literacy among the rural public. Overall, this policy successfully modernizes judicial administration, though continuous technical coordination and broader public socialization remain essential to maintain procedural justice.

Abstract

Adherence to antiretroviral (ARV) therapy is an important factor in achieving successful HIV treatment. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with ARV therapy adherence among people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in the Men Who Have Sex with Men (MSM) group at Yayasan Kanti Sehati Sejati, Jambi City, in 2025. This study employed a cross-sectional design involving 150 respondents. Data were collected using questionnaires and health service records. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed significant associations between age and ARV therapy adherence (p=0.000), social support (p=0.004), history of comorbidities (p=0.012), and duration of ARV therapy (p=0.014). Meanwhile, no significant associations were found between educational level, knowledge of ARV treatment, and ARV side effects and therapy adherence. Most respondents had a moderate level of adherence to ARV therapy. In conclusion, age, social support, history of comorbidities, and duration of therapy were associated with ARV therapy adherence among PLWHA in the MSM group. Efforts to improve adherence should focus on strengthening social support, continuous assistance, and monitoring of ARV therapy.
