Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in abundant natural resources. There are various natural products, biological and non-biological, from various fields and livelihoods. However, the existing resources have not fully made Indonesian people prosperous. The data shows that unemployment and crime in Indonesia are very high. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the real concept of prosperity in Indonesia. This type of research is a literature study sourced from books, journals, and scientific articles. The results of the study show that the Islamic welfare state from Gus Dur's perspective is a state that creates prosperity for the Indonesian state both for Islam and as a whole. To overcome existing social problems, it is necessary to apply the values of the characteristics of a prosperous state as Gus Dur has conveyed, namely a law-based prosperous state, a democratic prosperous state, a prosperous country for civil society movements, and a socio-cultural prosperous state by applying these values and characteristics, the Indonesian state can become a Baldatun Thoyibatun Warobbun Ghofur state.

Abstract

This study addresses the epistemological gap between exoteric knowledge (‘ilm al-lisān) and esoteric knowledge (‘ilm al-qalb) in pesantren education, which often results in a dichotomy between linguistic competence and ethical conduct. The study offers a new pedagogical model by integrating Sufistic elements into Nahw (Arabic grammar) education, thus contributing to the moral and spiritual formation of students. Using a qualitative approach with an Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) design at Pesantren Babussalam Pagelaran, data were collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation with teachers and senior students. The findings reveal that Sufistic Nahw pedagogy transforms Nahw from a mere linguistic tool into a medium for tazkiyat al-nafs. By reviving symbolic interpretations of grammatical structures within the Sufi tradition and applying the takhallī–taḥallī–tajallī framework, this integration effectively fosters moral awareness, modesty (al-ḥayā’), and self-control among students. This research provides a significant pedagogical innovation by positioning linguistic education as a core component of spiritual development in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Grabagan District in Tuban Regency is an area that often experiences drought due to the geographical conditions of highlands and limestone soils, so that access to clean water is a chronic problem for the community. The local government initiated the Mas Lindra Berkibar Program as an effort to provide clean water assistance for affected residents. However, the effectiveness of this program is greatly influenced by the ability of leadership in responding to rapidly changing field conditions. This study aims to analyze the influence of agile leadership on the success of clean water assistance programs in Garabagan District. The study method used was quantitative descriptive using a survey approach to 110 respondents, consisting of beneficiaries and parties involved in the implementation of the program. The research instrument used a likert scale questionnaire of 1-5 and the data were analyzed using SPSS Version 26 through validity, realism, classical assumption test, and t-test. The findings of the study indicated that agile leadership had a positive and significant impact on the success of the program. This indicates that leadership that is adaptive, collaborative, quick to make decisions, and responsive is able to improve the accuracy of water distribution, coordination effectiveness, and community participation. These findings confirm that the implementation of agile leadership is a strategic factor in strengthening the effectiveness and sustainability of clean water assistance programs in drought-prone areas such as grabagan.

Abstract

Mathematics anxiety significantly impairs elementary students' problem-solving performance, yet instructional approaches that simultaneously address affective and cognitive dimensions remain underexplored. This qualitative single-case study examined the implementation of Mindfulness-Based Mathematics Instruction (MBMI) in one Grade V classroom in Malang, Indonesia, involving 28 students, of whom eight were selected as focal participants representing high, moderate, and low mathematics anxiety profiles. Data were collected across six 90-minute sessions through classroom observation, semi-structured interviews, think-aloud protocols, and document analysis, and were analyzed using thematic analysis supported by NVivo. Findings revealed three concurrent outcomes: consistent and progressively internalized MBMI implementation; a 58% reduction in observable anxiety-related behaviors across session phases, most markedly among high-anxiety students; and a qualitative shift in problem-solving strategies from impulsive computation toward structured, reflective engagement aligned with Polya's four-stage framework. An unanticipated finding identified language-processing demands in word problems as a distinct, non-computational source of situational anxiety. These results demonstrate that emotional regulation and metacognitive strategy development are dynamically interconnected within fraction instruction, positioning MBMI as a theoretically grounded and pedagogically feasible integrative approach for elementary mathematics classrooms.

Abstract

Persistent deficiencies in elementary school students’ mathematics achievement, as evidenced by international assessments including PISA 2022, underscore the urgent need for a comprehensive synthesis of effective instructional strategies. Despite a growing body of individual studies, no systematic integration of evidence across multiple approaches and contexts existed for the 2020–2024 period.  A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following PRISMA 2020 guidelines. A systematic search across Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar identified 12,945 records; following two-stage screening against pre-specified inclusion and exclusion criteria, 40 peer-reviewed empirical studies were retained for thematic analysis.  Three dominant instructional themes emerged: manipulative-based learning, problem-based learning (PBL), and collaborative learning. All three demonstrated consistent positive effects on students’ conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and mathematical communication. The effectiveness of each strategy was moderated by teacher pedagogical competence, resource availability, and sociocultural context. Findings align with constructivist and sociocultural learning theories and corroborate recent meta-analytic evidence. A pronounced geographic concentration of studies in developed nations constitutes a critical knowledge gap. No single strategy is universally sufficient; an ecologically situated, multi-strategy framework supported by sustained teacher professional development and equitable resource policy is essential for advancing elementary mathematics education globally.

Abstract

The practice of gratification at the village level remains a serious problem because it is often considered part of social customs in public services, making it challenging to eradicate. This study aims to understand how the implementation of Collaborative Governance supports the Anti-Corruption Village Program through the ETIKA (Anti-Gratification Showcase) innovation in Kauman Village, Bojonegoro Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, drawing on the Collaborative Governance theory of Ansell and Gash (2008), which covers four main aspects: initial conditions, institutional Design, facilitative leadership, and collaboration processes. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, using a purposive sampling technique that included the village government, the Inspectorate, schools, the Village Consultative Body (BPD), the Media, and the community. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of Collaborative Governance through the ETIKA innovation is effective, as seen from increased transparency, accountability, and community participation in preventing gratification. However, challenges persist due to limited understanding among some communities of the dangers of gratification and its reporting mechanisms. ETIKA’s innovation has been proven to strengthen the culture of integrity and collaboration among stakeholders towards clean, integrated village governance.
