Abstract

This study aims to develop web-based Mathematics learning media through linktree on flat shape material in fifth grade elementary school and to determine the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This study uses a 4D development model (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). The subjects of the study were 20 fifth grade students of SDN 065853 Denai. Data collection techniques were interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests. Data analysis techniques were carried out using qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the study showed that (1) web-based learning media through linktree was declared valid with the validation results of material experts of 82.2% and media experts of 92.7% with the criteria of "very feasible"; (2) linktree learning media was declared practical based on teacher responses with a percentage of 90% included in the criteria of "very practical"; and (3) linktree learning media was declared effective, indicated by the increase in student learning outcomes, where the average pre-test score of 46.75% increased to 87.00% in the post-test. In addition, at the dissemination stage, an increase was obtained from 47.3% to 86.7% with an N-Gain value of 0.76 or 76% which is included in the high category. Thus, web-based learning media through linktree is proven to be valid, practical, and effective for use in learning Mathematics on Flat Shapes in elementary schools and is able to significantly improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Teacher performance evaluation is a strategic effort to improve teacher professionalism in the education profession. Teachers play a crucial role in shaping the quality of national education, necessitating an evaluation system capable of objectively and sustainably assessing teacher competence and performance. This article aims to analyze the role of teacher performance evaluation in improving teacher professionalism and its impact on the quality of education in Indonesia. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach that examines scientific journals, research articles, and policy documents related to teacher performance evaluation and professional development. The results of the study indicate that systematic and planned teacher performance evaluation can encourage improvements in teachers' pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies through academic supervision, training, workshops, learning reflection, and ongoing development. Furthermore, performance evaluation has been shown to play a role in improving the quality of the learning process, building teacher work motivation, and strengthening teachers' abilities to face the challenges of modern education, including environmental literacy and the use of digital technology. Thus, teacher performance evaluation is an important instrument in realizing professional, competitive teachers who contribute to the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an Assemblr Edu-based Puzzle learning media on multiplication material for fourth-grade elementary school students that meets valid, practical, and effective criteria. The study employed Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Data collection instruments included material and media validation sheets, practicality assessment sheets by teachers, and multiple-choice tests (pretest-posttest). The subjects were 32 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 023908 Binjai. The results showed that material expert validation reached 88% (very feasible), media expert validation 91% (feasible with revision), and practicality by the teacher 95.53% (very practical). The effectiveness test using N-Gain obtained a score of 0.5759 (medium category) with a percentage of 57.59% (moderately effective). Students' average score increased from 59.375 (pretest) to 80.469 (posttest). Thus, the Assemblr Edu-based Puzzle learning media is declared feasible and effective for use in learning multiplication in grade IV elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model assisted by Educaplay media on the music learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 101765 Bandar Setia. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 52 students divided into experimental and control classes, each with 26 students. Data collection techniques used multiple-choice tests. The results showed that the average post-test score of the experimental class was 79.04, higher than the control class at 70.77. Hypothesis testing using an independent sample t-test obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 < 0.05, meaning H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it is concluded that the TGT cooperative learning model assisted by Educaplay media significantly influences the music learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 101765 Bandar Setia.

Abstract

This qualitative case study at Pelangi Private Elementary School Medan examines the integration of inquiry learning in science, its impact on students' Science Process Skills (SPS), and its institutional factors. Utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation from the principal, fourth-grade teacher, and students, data were analyzed via the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña framework. Findings reveal that the structured inquiry stages—from problem presentation to drawing conclusions—significantly enhanced students' SPS, particularly in formulating hypotheses, controlling variables, and conducting experiments. Teacher readiness, adequate facilities, and student enthusiasm acted as key facilitators. Conversely, limited prior knowledge, restricted instructional time, and low learning independence emerged as primary barriers. Ultimately, this study demonstrates that inquiry learning effectively develops students' SPS, provided that continuous teacher scaffolding is maintained.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Approach on students’ spatial abilities in the topic of plane figures in the fourth grade at SD Negeri 101770 Tembung during the 2025/2026 school year. This study employed a quasi-experimental method using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study subjects consisted of 41 students, including 23 students in the experimental class and 18 students in the control class. The research instrument was a multiple-choice spatial ability test that met the criteria for validity, reliability, difficulty level, and discriminative power. Data analysis was conducted using Normalized Gain (N-Gain) scores, which were subsequently tested for normality, homogeneity, and analyzed using an Independent Samples t-test with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The results showed that the average N-Gain for the experimental class was 0.7877, which falls into the high category, while the average N-Gain for the control class was 0.5333, which falls into the moderate category. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value (Sig., 2-tailed) of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference in the improvement of spatial ability between the two classes. These findings suggest that the Realistic Mathematics Education approach is more effective than the Teacher-Centered Learning approach in improving students’ spatial ability. This effectiveness is supported by the characteristics of the Realistic Mathematics Education approach, which utilizes real-world contexts, exploratory activities, discussions, and the process of knowledge construction, enabling students to build visual representations, understand relationships between shapes, and develop their visualization, relational, and spatial orientation skills in a more meaningful way when studying plane figures.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of EduSpin media in contextual mathematics learning on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students on the topic of plane figures at SDN 101777 Saentis. This study employed a quantitative approach using a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 19 students selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a multiple-choice test and analyzed through descriptive statistics, the normality test, and the Paired Sample t-test using SPSS version 27. The results showed that the mean pretest score increased from 39.47 to 77.63 on the posttest. The normality test indicated that the pretest and posttest data were normally distributed, with significance values of 0.333 and 0.176 (Sig. > 0.05), respectively. Furthermore, the hypothesis test yielded a significance value of 0.001 (Sig. < 0.05), indicating that H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of EduSpin media in contextual mathematics learning has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students on the topic of plane figures at SDN 101777 Saentis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran Smart Box berbasis budaya lokal yang valid, praktis, dan efektif pada materi pecahan senilai kelas IV SD Negeri 173153 Sibalanga. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika khususnya materi pecahan senilai serta minimnya penggunaan media pembelajaran di kelas. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari tahap analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Subjek penelitian yaitu guru kelas IV dan siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 173153 Sibalanga. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Smart Box memperoleh tingkat validitas sangat layak berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi dengan persentase 94,6% dan ahli media sebesar 87,6%. Kepraktisan media memperoleh hasil 92,9% dari praktisi pendidikan dan 94,3% dari respon siswa dengan kategori sangat praktis. Efektivitas media ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa dari 32,29 pada pretest menjadi 83,33 pada posttest. Hasil uji NGain memperoleh skor 0,78 dengan kategori efektif. Dengan demikian, media Smart Box berbasis budaya lokal layak digunakan sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of digital picture media on the beginning reading ability of first-grade students at SD Negeri 105288 Sei Rotan in the 2025/2026 academic year. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population consisted of 41 students selected through a total sampling technique, including 21 students in the experimental class and 20 students in the control class. Data were collected through reading ability tests, observations, and documentation. The research instrument was tested for validity and reliability, resulting in 15 valid items with a reliability coefficient of 0.745. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an Independent Sample t-test. The results showed that the average pretest score of the experimental class was 49 and increased to 86 in the posttest, while the control class increased from 48.4 to 72.3. The hypothesis test results showed that the tcount was 5.675 > ttable 2.023 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. Therefore, digital picture media had a significant effect on students’ beginning reading ability. Digital picture media effectively improved students’ abilities in recognizing letters, reading syllables, words, and simple sentences.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of implementing the reward and punishment method on the numeracy skills of third-grade students at UPT SPF SDN 104205 Tembung in the 2025/2026 academic year. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 21 third-grade students. The research instrument was a numeracy skills test that had met the validity and reliability requirements. Data were analyzed using the normality test and the paired-samples t-test. The findings showed that the mean pretest score increased from 59.43 to 78.86 in the posttest, representing an improvement of 19.43 points. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed, while the hypothesis test produced a t-value of 13.535 with a significance value of 0.001 (< 0.05), indicating that the null hypothesis was rejected. These findings demonstrate that the implementation of the reward and punishment method has a significant effect on students' numeracy skills. The method not only improves numeracy achievement but also enhances students' motivation, participation, and discipline during the learning process. Therefore, the reward and punishment method can be considered an effective instructional strategy for improving elementary school students' numeracy skills.
