Abstract

The study aims to identify the main feed source for Apis nigrocincta through the analysis of polent morphology. The study uses explorative descriptive methods with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The focus of this study is the identification of feed source for endemic honeybees of Sulawesi, Apis nigrocincta through the analysis of polent morphology. Through the approach of polent morphology analysis, successfully identified 12 plant species from 9 families that could potentially be feed sources such as, Cucurbita maxima, Clematis viticella, Clematis montana, Pseuderanthemum tropurpureum, Cersicaria odorata, Solamun torvum, Solamun nigrum, Pine mercussii, Piper betle, Piper nigrum, and Galium aparine identification showed the presence of polyn diversity that supports the nutritional needs of bees, and emphasized the importance of local vegetation conservation to maintain the sustainability of the A. nigrocincta population. The results of the study showed that the polen has characteristics such as the polish unit, size, shape, shape on the P and E side, aperture type, as well as exin ornamentation. The polents collected by bees A. nigrocincta come from various types of plants, namely fruits, ornamental plants, vegetable plants, herb plants, and trees. This diversity reflects the flexibility of bees in choosing food sources based on availability in the surrounding environment. The results of the identification of the polymer samples showed that 12 species of plants that are the main feed source for A. nigrocincta bees are sourced from the polen. Each species has different flower characteristics, both in terms of shape and color. Polen diversity indicates that the environment around Jononunu Village has a rich ecosystem with different types of flowering plants.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between diet and physical activity with the nutritional status of students of SMP Negeri 19 Palu. This study used a cross sectional design with a quantitative approach and analytic observational type. The subjects were 77 students of class VIII (aged 13-15 years) who were selected using simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using FFQ (Food frequency Questionnaire) to assess diet and APARQ (Adolescent physical Activity Recall Questionnaire) for physical activity, both validated instruments from previous studies. As well as anthropometric measurements (height and weight) using the Body Mass Index (BMI) to determine nutritional status. The results of the analysis using the chi-square test showed that there was a significant relationship between diet and nutritional status (χ²(3) = 8.772; p = 0.032), and between physical activity and nutritional status (χ²(4) = 9.919; p = 0.042) Respondents with a good diet and moderate to vigorous physical activity tended to have normal nutritional status, while poor diet and light physical activity were more common among students with abnormal nutritional status. These findings suggest that diet and physical activity play an important role in determining the nutritional status of adolescents. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of educational intervention programs in the school environment to support healthy lifestyles and prevent nutritional problems among students.

Abstract

ABSTRACTImplementing entrepreneurship as part of the Merdeka Curriculum is considered suboptimal due to the numerous challenges schools face. This is consistent with the survey results among chemistry educators in the Singkawang, which showed that while most have implemented entrepreneurship in their teaching, it has not yet incorporated local wisdom and has not been included in their teaching tools. The purpose of this community service program (PKM) is to enhance educators' ability to develop entrepreneurship-based learning that incorporates local wisdom and to describe educators' responses to the training activities conducted. The method used in this PKM is a training method for 24 chemistry educators in Singkawang, consisting of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the PKM activities showed increased knowledge and helped Singkawang's chemistry educators integrate these two concepts into their teaching. Abstract

The enzyme tyrosinase (EC 1.14.18.1) plays a role in the browning reaction of peels, fruits and vegetables, by catalyzing the process of melanin production. Therefore, tyrosinase inhibitors are needed to prevent excess melanin production from causing adverse browning reactions. Kratom leaves (Mitragyna speciosa Korth) contain secondary metabolites of alkaloids and flavonoids which are thought to have better and safer activity as tyrosinase inhibitors than kojic acid. Based on the color of the leaf veins, kratom leaves are divided into 3 variants, namely red, green and white kratom veins. This study aims to examine the activity of the ethanol extract of three variants of kratom leaves as an inhibitor of the tyrosinase enzyme. The results showed that the IC50 value of the three kratom leaf variants was >700 µg/mL while the IC50 value of kojic acid was 32.85 µg/mL. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of kratom leaf variants of red, green and white veins did not have activity as an inhibitor of the tyrosinase enzyme because the IC50 values of all three were >700 µg/mL. Keywords:          Tyrosinase enzyme, Kratom, Mitragyna specios, melanin   Abstrak Enzim tirosinase (EC 1.14.18.1) berperan dalam reaksi pencoklatan kulit, buah, dan sayur, dengan mengkatalisis proses produksi melanin.
