Abstract

Merdeka Curriculum emphasises the implementation of differentiated learning and considers the unique characteristics of each student. Teachers have an important role in the development and implementation of this curriculum, and must have interpretations in accordance with the provisions of curriculum development. Teachers' perceptions of the Merdeka Curriculum are very diverse and can significantly affect the readiness and quality of learning to be carried out. This study aims to determine teacher perceptions based on aspects of cognition, affection, conation. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques using questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research questionnaire used is an open question that has been validated for content by 3 Merdeka Curriculum experts and validated for items by Merdeka Curriculum experts and Educational Psychology Experts. The results showed that teachers' perceptions are very important in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, cognition about general concepts is positive, but for in-depth concepts, teachers' perceptions are negative. Schools that provide gradual training have succeeded in building teachers' positive cognition, although many still think that teaching modules are the same as lesson plans from the 2013 Curriculum. Teachers support the development of Merdeka Curriculum even though they feel there are limitations in understanding and readiness of infrastructure in schools. Teachers are also positive about the support and cooperation between teachers, especially through MGMP, but still feel that they are not fully capable of making their own learning tools. Although the teaching modules are in accordance with the provisions, teachers have not fully implemented differentiation plans or utilised the results of learning style diagnosis in learning.

Abstract

The high demand for the textile industry can pollute the environment through waste. Natural dyes from natural ingredients are used as a step to minimize this waste.  Dayak onions can be used as a natural dye because they produce a red color from anthocyanin compounds. However, natural dyes have weaknesses, namely that the color is less stable and fades easily, so a fixator is needed. Fixator is used to strengthen the color in fabrics that use natural dyes. Orange chili sauce has the potential to be a natural fixator because it contains citric acid. This research aims to analyze the effect of the concentration of chili pepper fixator (Citrus microcarpa) on the color fastness of cotton fabric using natural dyes from Dayak onion bulbs (Eleutherine palmifolia (L.) Merr). The research method used was an experiment using a colorimeter application whose results were in the form of ΔE values. The test was carried out on the color of the fabric that had been dyed and fixed and then the average value (ΔE) was measured before and after washing the soap. The research results showed that the average value (ΔE) of the smallest to largest fixator was a concentration of 20%, 100%, 0%, 40%, 60% and 80%. Based on the results of the Kruskal Wallis test followed by the Bonferroni test, a significant value of 0.024 (p>0.05) was obtained at a concentration of 20%. This shows that the chili lime fixator has a significant influence on the fastness of the fabric.

Abstract

The use of synthetic dyes in the textile industry has a negative impact on the environment. One solution that can overcome this impact is to switch to using natural dyes. However, natural dyes tend to produce less stable colors and fade easily. For this reason, a fixator is needed that can strengthen and maintain the natural dye in the fabric. Rambai fruit was chosen as a fixator because of the content of ascorbic acid which has the potential to be a natural fixator. This study aims to analyze the effect of the concentration of rambai fruit vinegar fixator on the dyeing of cotton fabrics with Dayak onion extract on color fastness. This research method is included in experimental research using the ΔE value as analysis data. Based on the results of the ΔE value, the concentration of 80% has the best level of color fastness. The results of the anova one-way test on the variation of the rambai fruit vinegar fixator obtained a significant result (p<0.05). This shows that there is an effect between the use of rambai fruit vinegar fixator concentration and color fading resistance using Dayak onion bulb extract. At a concentration of 80%, rambai fruit vinegar fixator is the most optimal concentration as a cotton fabric fixator with dye of Dayak onion bulb extract (Eleutherine palmifolia (L.) Merr) with a ΔE value of 3.47. Thus, rambai fruit vinegar with a high concentration can be an alternative fixator in the textile industry. This research contributes to the development of more environmentally friendly natural fixator materials in the textile industry that replace more harmful chemical fixators.
