Abstract

The application of composite as an alternatif material to substitute of metal has better properties than metal such as light, high elasticity, corrosion and fatigue resistance. Some components in its application are subjected to millions of varying stress cycles that initiated to fatigue failure such as crack, delamination and fracture. The strength of composite is influenced by construction, fiber type, orientation and fiber fraction. The objective of this experiment is to investigate the fatigue characteristic on SCM composite. Material composite to be used is glass fiber with chopped strand mat (CSM) as fiber and Yukalac 157 BQTN-EX with 1% hardener (Mexpox) as matrix. The mold process was built with hand lay-up. Fiber volume fractions in composite are 40, 32 and 24 %. The tests to be done on composite are fatigue and tensile test. The research show that the increasing of fiber fraction in composite affects increasing of fatigue life, endurance limit and tensile strength. Fatigue failure modes of composite are debonding, matrix cracking, delamination and fiber fracture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki sifat mekanis yaitu kekuatan lentur dari kompositpolyester yang diperkuat dengan serat tapis kelapa. Di masa depan komposit ini dapatdigunakan untuk menggantikan kayu, bambu dan gipsun yang harganya mahal dan tidaktahan air. Komposit dibuat dengan memanfaatkan serat sabut kelapa dan matriks resinUnsaturated-Polyester (UPRs) jenis Yucalac 157 BQTN, campuran 1% hardener jenis MEKPO(Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide) dan perendaman serat dalam larutan alkali KMnO4 0,5%.Metode produksi yang digunakan adalah press hand lay up dengan orientasi serat acak.Desain komposit dengan variasi fraksi volume serat 20, 25 dan 30% dan variasi panjang serat5, 10 dan 15 mm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin besar fraksi volume danpanjang serat dalam komposit maka kekuatan lentur semakin tinggi. Mode patahan yangteramati adalah patah getas, debonding, pullout dan crack deflection.Kata kunci: komposit, serat tapis kelapa, kekuatan lentur, mode patahanThe purpose of this study is to investigate the mechanical properties i.e. flexural strength ofcomposites coconut filter fiber. In the future this material can be used to replace the wood,bamboo and gipsun which are high price and lower water resistance.The research material made with coconut filter fiber as reinforcement and matrix resinunsaturated polyester (UPRs) type Yukalac BQTN 157, with 1% hardener types MEKPO(Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide) and fiber treatment by 0.5% KMnO4. Production methods arepress hand lay-up and the variations of fiber volume fraction are 20, 25 and 30% and fiberlength are 5, 10 and 15 mm. Testing of mechanical properties is flexural test (ASTM - D790)The results of research show that the longer of fiber and the bigger of fiber volume fraction,the higher of flexural strength are obtained. Abstract

Chamomile is a package which is applied for cosmetic. In industry this package is being processed by blow molding. Thereare many parameters that influence cycle time during production; in this project only three of them were varied, i.e. blowingpressure, blowing time and stopping time. Each parameter is determined three chosen level. Middle level is taken fromstandard setting of machining which is being used by industry. Top and bottom level is randomized. Three stopping time are0.1, 0.55, and 1.0 second. Blowing time are 10.5, 11.5 and 12.5 second. Where as, blowing pressures is 4, 5 and 6 bar.Combination of among levels is based on Box Behnken design. Those three parameters are called variable process. In theother hand, variable responses are cycle time and net weight. Each combination is replicated 5 times and then averaged. Thedata then is processed by using Minitab version 14th. Square regression of the model for cycle time is ?CT = 21,1300 - 0,0912X1 + 0,2000 X2 + 0,6313 X3 + 0,6100 X12 + 0,6975 X22 – 0,1000 X1 X2 – 0,1725 X1 X3 + 0,1100 X2 X3 and Net = 19,2933 –0,0088 X1 + 0,0175 X2 + 0,0712 X3 + 0,0133 X 21 + 0.0158 X22- 0.0217 X 23 + 0.0125 X1X2 - 0,0150 X1 X3 for product netweight. Where X1 is blowing pressure, X2 is blowing time and X3 is stopping time.The model developed then tested by lack offit testing, variance by ANOVA and R square. Second stage of model testing is residual test. Three tests are carry out, i.e.identically test and independency test and normality. Optimization of both values, cycle time and net weight, are searched byResponse Surface Method. By the method it is found that the optimum condition of cycle time is 20.5 seconds and net weightis 19.19 grams. The optimum condition is achieved when stopping is 0.1 second, blowing time 11.35 second and blowingpressure 5.1 bars.

Abstract

Salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap hasil coran logam adalah cetakan yang digunakan. Kesalahandalam pembuatan cetakan bisa menyebabkan terjadinya cacat pada proses pengecoran. Penyebab utama terjadinya cacatpada proses pengecoran yaitu sifat-sifat dari cetakan seperti permeabilitas, kekuatan tekan cetakan, dan sintering poin yangrendah serta distribusi butiran pasir tidak sesuai. Sifat-sifat cetakan itu sendiri sangat tergantung pada distribusi besar butirpasir cetak, persentase zat pengikat dan persentase kadar air, sehingga perlu adanya penelitian untuk mendapatkan jenispasir cetak yang cocok sebagai cetakan pasir pada pengecoran logam.Dalam penelitian ini digunakan jenis pasir laut, pasir gunung dan pasir sungai, dengan variasi zat pengikatbentonit 4%, 6%, dan 8%, dan kadar air 4%. Pengujian yang dilakukan adalah uji kekuatan tekan dan permeabilitas.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan zat pengikat bentonit berpengaruh terhadap sifat permeabilitasdan kekuatan tekan cetakan pasir, sedangkan jenis pasir tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata. Permeabilitas cetakanpasir paling tinggi diperoleh pada penggunaan pasir gunung dengan zat pengikat bentonit 4% yaitu sebesar 24,71 cm3/min,dan kekuatan tekan pasir cetak paling tinggi diperoleh pada penggunaan pasir laut dengan zat pengikat bentonit 8% yaitusebesar 0,78 N/cm2

Abstract

Abstrak:Perlakuan alkali pada serat ijuk untuk bahan penguat atau pengisi komposit bermatrik epoxy bertujuan untukmengurangi lignin dan hemiselulosa sehingga kompatiblitas serat alam dengan bahan matrik polimer dapatditingkatkan, namun pada sisi lain pengurangan lignin dan hemiselulosa mempengaruhi juga kadar kandungankelompok fungsional yang terkandung dalam lignin dan hemiselulosa sehingga mempengaruhi sifat listrik dari serat,baik itu sifat resistivitas listrik maupun konstanta dielektrik. Perlakuan alkali menggunakan tiga macam larutan alkaliyang memiliki perbedaan kuat basa yaitu NH4OH, NaOH dan KOH. Variasi fraksi berat serat dilakukan pada prosespembuatan komposit dan uji yang dilakukan pada komposit adalah uji propagasi gelombang mikroelektromagnetik..Berdasarkan hasil uji propagasi ini, dapat disebutkan komposit matrik epoxy berpenguat serat ijuk yang memilikikemampuan pantul dan kemampuan serap radiasi gelombang mikroelektromagnetik paling tinggi adalah kompositdengan serat ijuk tanpa perlakuan dan fraksi berat 50 %.Kata kunci : perlakuan alkali, serat ijuk, uji propagasiAbstract:Alkaline treatment on sugar palm fibers that used to reinforcement or filler composite with epoxy matrix aim to reducelignin and hemicelullose so compatibility of natural fibers with polymer matrix could be increased, but on the other sidethe reduction of lignin and hemicelullose also affect content of functional group in lignin and hemicelullose so as toaffect the electrical properties of the fibers, that is resistivity of electricity and the dielectrics constant. Alkaline treatmentusing three kinds of a solution of alkaline that have a difference base strength namely NH4OH , NaOH and KOH.Variation of weight fraction fibers performed on the process of composite making and test it conducted in composite ispropagation microelectromagnetic wave test . Abstract

The implementation of cognitive theory in multimedia development for deaf students (students with visual channels only) would be re-examined for its effectiveness. This study aimed to develop mathematics-learning multimedia based on cognitive theory for deaf students on "measurement". This development study adopted the 4D (define, design, develop, disseminate) study design. This study focused on determining the media feasibility based on expert validation, practicality trials, and effectiveness in the first year. The subjects of this study were 4 experts (content expert, learning design expert, media expert, and linguist), 2 teachers, and 7 students. The media feasibility data were collected with validation sheets, questionnaires, and tests. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Based on the results, the feasibility level based on material experts, media experts, learning design experts, and linguists were 93.3%, 96.7%, 90%, and 93.3%, so it could be said that the developed multimedia met validity criteria. Based totally on the consequences, the multimedia practicality test for teachers and students were 95% and 93% respectively so that it could be said that multimedia met the practical criteria and the average percentage of student material mastery was 80.1% with passing grade of 71.4% so it could be said that multimedia met the effective criteria. Since the multimedia met the valid, practical, and effective criteria, it could be said that multimedia is feasible for learning.

Abstract

PT XYZ adalah perusahaan industri manufaktur di Indonesia dalam lingkup BUMN (Badan Usaha Milik Negara) yang bergerak dalam bidang produk militer. Objek pengamatan yang diambil adalah produk pendukung yaitu ammunition box. Ammunition box adalah tempat untuk menempatkan munisi yang diproduksi. Total waktu siklus di bagian pembuatan tutup dan pembuatan badan ammunition box berbeda sehingga menyebabkan bottleneck pada bagian perakitan akhir yang dapat mempengaruhi efisiensi lini produksi. Penumpukkan badan ammunition  box di perakitan akhir mengakibatkan proses perakitan di bagian perakitan akhir terhambat. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penyeimbangan lintasan produksi adalah untuk membantu perusahaan manufaktur dalam mendesain dan pengimplementasikan perbaikan terhadap sistem produksi yang ada saat ini. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah metode Helgeson Birnie (Rank Positional Weight) Dalam metode ini dijelaskan bahwa proses perakitan terdiri dari beberapa elemen pekerjaan dengan urutan ketergantungan terhadap elemen pekerjaan sebelumnya. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan metode Helgeson Birnie (RPW) memberikan efisiensi lini sebesar yaitu 83,17% pada bagian pembuatan tutup ammunition box, 97,99% pada bagian pembuatan badan ammunition box, dan 100% pada bagian perakitan akhir. Hasil rancangan Helgeson Birnie (RPW) memberikan peningkatan efisiensi yaitu 39,11% pada bagian pembuatan tutup ammunition box, 53,45% pada bagian pembuatan badan ammunition box, dan 7,2% pada bagian perakitan akhir. Kata kunci : keseimbangan lintasan, manufaktur, waktu siklus

Abstract

Conflict resolution of natural resources management is considered to be based on adat institutions when a conflict is resolved by adat law justice system in an adat forum by applying adat norms. Government, adat law community, and the private sector parties must be serious in empowering adat institutions. The seriousness of the government towards the recognition of adat intitution is outlined in the legislation. The seriousness of the adat law community is shown by receiving critically and carefully various new values that are good for strengthening the social life of the next community. The position and status of members of adat law communities are not only as a passive recipient of the local culture, but also as an actor, creator, and innovator agents of adat institutions. Members of adat law communities as active subjects carry out innovation and revitalization of adat institutions in order to adjust to the challenges of the times. The seriousness of the private sector is manifested in the willingness form of consultation with members of adat law communities to understand the feelings of the heart and the willingness of members of adat law communities.

Abstract

The government, both at the central and regional levels, has an obligation to maintain order and order in society. One of the obligations of the local government is to maintain public order and order in the face of the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia, which is carried out by Satpol PP as an extension of the regional government. The purpose of this study is to determine the values that can be applied so that the process of preventing the spread of COVID-19 carried out by the Lampung Provincial Satpol PP can run optimally so that public order and peace and protection for the people of Lampung can be implemented properly and optimally. The data collection techniques in this study are observation, interview and documentation. The number of interviews in this study were 12 people. The research method uses qualitative methods. In this study, researchers used qualitative data analysis, where the researcher went directly to the field to obtain data from the beginning to the end of the study. In general, the results of this research are as follows: 1) Satpol PP of Lampung Province has carried out activities as an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Lampung Province since the beginning of the virus spreading in this area, 2) Optimizing the role of Satpol PP in preventing the spread of COVID-19. 19 in Lampung Province is seen based on the role dimensions expressed by Santosa, namely the role as a policy, the role as a strategy, the role as a communication tool, and the role as a dispute resolution tool 3) Activities that have been carried out by the Lampung Provincial Satpol PP in maintaining security and public order in facing the spread of COVID-19 in Lampung Province has been carried out optimally.
