Abstract

This research is backround by the low learning outcomes of students in the subject of Science, which is caused by the lack of student activity in the learning process and difficulty in understanding abstract material, especially in the material of Electrical energy. This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model assisted by animated video media on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN 37 Pekanbaru. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research sample consisted of 27 students. The instrument used was a learning outcome test that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out through showing that the average student pretest score of 35.48 increased to 68.07 in the posttest with an increase of 32.59. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means there is a significant effect of the application of the PjBL model assisted by animated video media on student learning outcomes. Furthermore, the N-Gain test result of 0.5241 is in the moderate category, indicating that this learning model is quite effective in improving learning outcomes. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Project Based Learning model assisted by animated video media has a positive and significant impact on student learning outcomes

Abstract

Education is a planned effort to develop students' potential optimally. However, based on the results of observations and interviews at SD Negeri 143 Pekanbaru, student learning outcomes in the subject of science are still relatively low, which is caused by the lack of student activity and the use of learning methods that are still centered on the teacher. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the science learning outcomes of fourth grade students. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental design involving two classes, namely the experimental class using the PBL model and the control class using the expository method. Data collection was carried out through pretests and posttests, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tests, including normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests, and N-Gain tests with the help of SPSS version 21. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class was 81.00 higher than the control class at 63.50. The results of the t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means there is a significant effect of the use of the PBL model on student learning outcomes. In addition, the N-Gain test results showed that the increase in learning outcomes in the experimental class was in the medium category (0.69), while the control class was in the low category (0.27). Thus, the Problem Based Learning model was proven to be more effective in improving students' science learning outcomes than the expository method.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of 5E Learning Cycle-based instructional materials in improving elementary school students’ science process skills. This study utilized the Research and Development (R&D) method based on the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were fifth-grade elementary school students in Pekanbaru. The research instruments consisted of science process skills tests administered as pretests and posttests. The data analysis techniques employed included a normality test, a paired-sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results indicated that there was a significant difference between students’ pretest and posttest scores after using the 5E Learning Cycle-based instructional materials. Additionally, the N-Gain analysis results showed that the improvement in students’ science process skills fell into the moderate category. Thus, 5E Learning Cycle-based instructional materials are effective for improving the science process skills of elementary school students. The implications of this study suggest that the use of instructional materials designed according to the stages of the 5E Learning Cycle can support more active and meaningful learning and optimally develop students’ science process skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap nilai-nilai sosial dalam tradisi Tari Bungo Inai Karoteh pada acara pernikahan masyarakat Simalinyang, Kecamatan Kampar Kiri, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau. Tari ini merupakan warisan budaya yang mengandung makna simbolik dan berperan dalam menjaga identitas serta kohesi sosial masyarakat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan tokoh adat dan warga setempat yang terlibat langsung dalam pelaksanaan tari, serta dokumentasi pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tari Bungo Inai Karoteh mengandung lima nilai sosial utama: gotong royong, kebersamaan lintas suku, keberlanjutan nilai antar generasi, rasa tanggung jawab bersama, dan kepedulian sosial. Tari ini juga memiliki peran penting dalam membangun solidaritas komunitas dan menjadi media transmisi nilai-nilai adat kepada generasi muda. Meskipun demikian, eksistensinya menghadapi tantangan dari arus modernisasi dan menurunnya minat generasi muda. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya revitalisasi budaya untuk memastikan keberlanjutan tradisi ini di masa depan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam tradisi Randai Kumayang Bagoyang sebagai salah satu seni pertunjukan khas masyarakat Melayu di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi, Provinsi Riau. Fokus kajian meliputi sejarah perkembangan, struktur pertunjukan, nilai-nilai budaya yang terkandung, serta tantangan dan peluang pelestariannya di tengah arus modernisasi. Tradisi Randai tidak hanya berperan sebagai media hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai sarana penyampaian pesan moral, pembentukan karakter, dan pelestarian budaya lokal. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap tokoh tradisi lokal dan dokumentasi literatur relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Randai Kumayang Bagoyang merupakan bentuk teater rakyat yang memadukan unsur musik, tari, silat, dan drama dalam format pertunjukan melingkar, yang mencerminkan nilai kebersamaan. Meskipun menghadapi tantangan dari budaya populer dan minimnya dukungan pemerintah, tradisi ini tetap hidup melalui inisiatif komunitas dan dapat menjadi potensi pendidikan budaya serta aset wisata daerah apabila dikelola secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Tradisi Bakar Batu merupakan salah satu bentuk kearifan lokal masyarakat Suku Dani di Papua Pegunungan yang masih lestari hingga saat ini. Tradisi ini bukan hanya sekadar metode memasak secara tradisional menggunakan batu panas, tetapi memiliki makna sosial, spiritual, dan ekologis yang mendalam. Bakar Batu biasanya dilaksanakan pada berbagai momentum penting seperti kelahiran, pernikahan, kematian, penyelesaian konflik adat, dan sebagai ungkapan rasa syukur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna, nilai, serta fungsi sosial dari tradisi Bakar Batu dalam kehidupan masyarakat Suku Dani di tengah arus modernisasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka dan wawancara daring bersama tokoh adat asli Papua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi ini menjadi media perekat sosial yang efektif, sarana edukasi nilai adat bagi generasi muda, sekaligus ritual penyucian spiritual yang tetap dihormati masyarakat hingga kini. Meskipun menghadapi tantangan akibat modernisasi, masyarakat adat tetap mempertahankan tradisi ini sebagai identitas budaya dan simbol persatuan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya keterlibatan aktif pemerintah, sekolah, dan media dalam pelestarian tradisi Bakar Batu, agar nilai-nilai luhur di dalamnya tidak tergerus oleh zaman.

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini terdapat masalah yang melatarbelakangi penulis untuk melakukan penelitian yaitu kurangnya keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dimana dalam pembelajaran konvensional guru lebih menjadi pusat perhatian atau tokoh utama dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga siswa cenderung hanya menunggu penjelasan dan jawaban dari guru hal ini sangat berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa yang rendah. Berdasarkan permasalahan di atas, peneliti berharap dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas V IPA dan mata pelajaran terkait di SD IT Milatul Khoir Pekanbaru dengan menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran card sort. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi-eksperimen kuantitatif. Kelas eksperimen menerima pembelajaran dengan pendekatan pembelajaran card sort, sedangkan kelas kontrol digunakan sebagai kelas komparatif dengan pembelajaran tradisional. Untuk mengetahui hasil akhir pembelajaran siswa, peneliti dalam penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen penelitian dengan soal tes pilihan ganda, yang disebut dengan pretest dan posttest. Soal pretest diberikan sebelum proses pembelajaran dimulai, dan soal posttest diberikan setelah proses pembelajaran selesai. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan menggunakan strategi pembelajaran card sort sedangkan skor N-Gain yang diperoleh pada kelas kontrol menunjukkan nilai rata-rata (mean) skor N-Gain sebesar 54,93% termasuk dalam kategori kurang efektif. kategori sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen nilai rata-rata (mean) skor N-Gain yang diperoleh sebesar 75,43% termasuk dalam kategori cukup efektif. Rata-rata peningkatan (mean) kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen sebesar 19,5% berdasarkan nilai rata-rata kedua kelas.

Abstract

Android-based learning media is an application that can be accessed and stored on a smartphone by the android operating system. Android can be made by the software aid, one of them is Smart App Creator. Hence, this article discusses the development of android-based learning media for sixth-grade elementary school students. The research is Research and Development with the 4D model. The validation obtained from the validator indicates an average score of 93.75% in the "Very Valid" category. The validator assessment of the teaching material expert indicates an average score of 86.81% in the "Very Valid" category. Assessment of research products in limited try-out uses the practicality of teachers and students. The average score result of teacher practicality is 91.06% with the very practical category. Subsequently, the acquisition result of students’ practicality indicates an average score of 87.09% in a very practical category. Based on this developmental research, android- based learning media on solar system material is very feasible to use for learning. Learning media is required to be optimized and utilized by teachers while the learning process and also implemented in other learning subjects.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to create equal distribution and understanding of life area education for primary school students, so that students can develop appropriate attitudes and actions in accordance with the concept of life area education. In addition, this research aims to provide an alternative model for the development of life area education in Pekanbaru based on the national curriculum or local curriculum, so that it can contribute concretely to curriculum development within the framework of life area education. The data used in this research consisted of primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through surveys in the form of direct observations in schools and interviews with relevant stakeholders, including the Head of the Education Department, school principals, and teachers. Primary data were also collected through questionnaires distributed to principals, teachers, and students, focusing on cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of life area education. Secondary data were obtained from school-related documents, such as records of environmental education (PLH) activities conducted in schools, as well as documents from relevant stakeholders. Based on the analysis of the school curriculum, life area education can be integrated into five subjects: religion, civics, science and technology, arts, and physical education. Furthermore, the analysis of educational stakeholders indicates strong support for the inclusion of life area education in the local curriculum and its implementation in daily school activities. Based on the analysis of students’ knowledge and attitudes, primary school students demonstrate a good understanding of life area education and have shown positive behaviors in caring for their school environment.
