Abstract

Warunk Endess is a drinks shop with a choice of food and drinks in various flavors. However the ordering system at Warunk Endess only applies the usual ordering menu, like a customer who has to come to Warunk Endess, queue to place an order, choose a table and then wait for the waiter come to take orders. The problem that is often faced is too much queue of customers due to ordering food and beverage menus only through one place at Warunk Endess. So that makes customer service worse. To support the convenience of the ordering process at Warunk Endess, a system is designed that makes it easier to order without queuing. This research uses the methods of data collection including literature study, interviews and observations. The system development method uses the System Development Life Cycle (Waterfall) method, the programming language used is PHP and the MySQL database. This research produces a menu ordering website which can provide convenience to customers in the process of ordering and selling food and beverages at Warunk Endess.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of group counseling utilizing the “Cope with the Feeling of Being Overwhelmed” technique in improving student engagement at SMP Muhammadiyah 57 Medan. Employing an experimental pretest-posttest control group design, the research divided subjects into an experimental group receiving the counseling intervention and a control group that did not. Data were collected using a validated and reliable student engagement questionnaire and analyzed statistically. The results demonstrated a significant increase in engagement within the experimental group, with a pretest-posttest significance value of 0.000. Furthermore, a significant difference (p=0.007) was found between the experimental and control groups, confirming the intervention’s efficacy. The novelty of this research lies in applying and empirically validating this specific therapeutic technique within a school counseling context to directly target engagement. A key practical implication is that school counselors can adopt this structured group counseling technique as a proven, alternative strategy to actively help students manage overwhelming feelings and thereby foster higher academic participation. This study contributes by providing empirical evidence for a practical counseling method and offering a replicable framework for enhancing student engagement through targeted emotional coping strategies in educational settings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan akademik yang dialami oleh anak dengan disleksia dan diskalkulia melalui pendekatan studi literatur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menelaah berbagai artikel jurnal nasional, buku, serta laporan penelitian yang relevan dan dipublikasikan dalam enam tahun terakhir (2020–2025). Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi untuk mengidentifikasi pola, karakteristik, serta bentuk kesulitan belajar yang dialami anak usia sekolah dasar. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa anak dengan disleksia mengalami hambatan utama pada kemampuan memahami makna bacaan meskipun mampu melafalkan teks dengan cukup baik, sedangkan anak dengan diskalkulia mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep numerik, simbol matematika, serta urutan logika dalam proses berhitung. Hambatan akademik tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal, seperti rendahnya motivasi belajar, keterbatasan konsentrasi, dan kurangnya kepercayaan diri, serta faktor eksternal berupa minimnya pendampingan orang tua dan metode pembelajaran yang belum adaptif. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya identifikasi dini dan penerapan strategi pembelajaran adaptif, multisensori, dan inklusif untuk mendukung perkembangan akademik anak dengan disleksia dan diskalkulia. Hasil kajian diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi pendidik dalam merancang intervensi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Generasi Z terbilang unggul dalam memanfaatkan media sosial untuk bersosial dan berwirausaha di era modern. Media sosial sekarang berfungsi tidak hanya untuk berkomunikasi tetapi juga untuk mendirikan dan mengembangkan bisnis. Artikel ini mengkaji pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan dan mengajarkan Generasi Z mengenai modul sosial media marketing business. Algoritma media, strategi konten dan kreatif, digital marketing, dan pemasaran brand yang tepat di targetkan pada jaman sekarang tentu saja diakhiri dengan aktif listening. Dari hasil di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan media sosial memiliki dampak positif terhadap keterampilan wirausaha Generasi Z, pemahaman tentang bisnis digital yang mereka ingin kembangkan, serta keinginan untuk bersikap proaktif terhadap permasalahan yang terjadi di dunia saat ini. Oleh karena itu, Artikel ini mengusulkan dampak positif pelatihan media sosial juga berpotensi untuk meningkatkan inovasi digital di kalangan anak muda di tanpa mengesampingkan aspek perekonomian.

Abstract

Background: Lipemic serum can interfere with AST testing, resulting in falsely elevated values. The addition of alpha-cyclodextrin (α-CD), polyethylene glycol (PEG), and sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) can bind to fats in lipemic serum, thereby clarifying the serum. This study aims to compare the activity of AST enzyme in pooled serum with pooled lipemic serum after adding PEG 1.5%, α-CD 1.5%, and SLS 5%, as well as the differences in AST enzyme activity between pooled lipemic serum supplemented with PEG 1.5%, α-CD 1.5%, and SLS 5%. Method: Experimental, by preparing lipemic serum using egg yolk to achieve a triglyceride level of 1500.8 mg/dL, then treated with PEG 1.5%, α-CD 1.5%, and SLS 5%, incubated for 30 minutes at 4°C, centrifuged at 3000 rpm for 10 minutes, and the AST enzyme activity was measured using the Kinetic-IFCC method and compared with pooled serum. Results: The ANOVA test results showed a significant difference in AST enzyme activity between pooled serum samples and untreated lipemic serum. However, when lipemic serum was treated with PEG 1.5%, α-CD 1.5%, and SLS 5%, no significant difference was observed compared to pooled serum. Additionally, there was no significant difference in AST enzyme activity between lipemic serum supplemented with PEG 1.5%, α-CD 1.5%, and SLS 5%. Conclusion: These three flocculants can be used to treat lipemic serum to obtain more accurate AST activity test results.

Abstract

Administrative Law plays a central role in regulating, supervising, and ensuring the implementation of effective and efficient public services. This study aims to analyze the contribution and role of administrative law in creating responsive, transparent, and accountable public services. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing data from statutory regulations, academic literature, and previous studies. The findings reveal that the application of administrative law principles, such as legal certainty, accountability, proportionality, and transparency, significantly improves the quality of public services. Furthermore, the strict enforcement of legal norms on government officials fosters greater professionalism within the bureaucracy and minimizes maladministration and corruption. However, challenges such as weak law enforcement, limited human resource cotence, and resistance to change remain obstacles to the optimization of public services. This study emphasizes that administrative law reform, capacity building of government officials, and the strengthening of oversight systems are strategic measures required to ensure the realization of effective and efficient public service delivery. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for policymakers and government practitioners in formulating policies and strategies for improving public service delivery in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research examines the gap between normative legal provisions and banking practices regarding parental authority over minor children in loan applications. Legally, Article 47 of the Marriage Law and Article 345 of the Civil Code stipulate that living parents automatically have guardianship authority without requiring a court decision. However, in practice, banks still require the establishment of guardianship as an administrative requirement for applying for a loan secured by the child's parents' inheritance. The juridical empirical research method was applied in this study, thru interviews with judges from the Palangka Raya District Court and officials from Bank BRI, as well as a study of laws and regulations. The research results indicate a gap between the applicable law and banking practices. The judge ruled that appointing a guardian for the parents was actually unnecessary because that authority was already legally vested, while the bank applied the principle of prudence as stated in Article 29 paragraph (2) of Law Number 10 of 1998 concerning Banking, in order to avoid legal risks and disputes in the future. This research recommends the need for institutional cooperation between the courts and banking thru coordination forums or memoranda of understanding, in order to align legal perceptions regarding the limits of the natural guardianship authority of biological parents.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Sisa buah dari aktivitas rumah tangga merupakan sampah organik yang berpotensi menimbulkan dampak lingkungan apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik. Salah satu alternatif pengelolaan ramah lingkungan yang dapat dilakukan adalah mengolah limbah tersebut menjadi eco-enzim. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan proses pengolahan limbah sisa buah menjadi eco-enzim serta mengkaji potensinya sebagai bahan dasar parfum ramah lingkungan. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui eksperimen sederhana dengan proses fermentasi limbah buah, gula, dan air pada perbandingan 3:1:10 selama ±90 hari pada suhu ruang. Data diperoleh melalui observasi warna, aroma, dan pH eco-enzim, serta aroma parfum hasil formulasi. Hasil: Eco-enzim yang dihasilkan berwarna cokelat kekuningan, memiliki aroma asam khas, dan berada pada kisaran pH 3–4. Formulasi parfum berbahan eco-enzim menghasilkan aroma alami dengan intensitas ringan hingga sedang. Kesimpulan: Pemanfaatan eco-enzim dari limbah sisa buah berkontribusi terhadap pengurangan sampah, mendukung prinsip zero waste, serta memiliki potensi pengembangan produk berkelanjutan bernilai ekonomi dan ekologis.

Abstract

Purpose – Although students’ speaking skills have been has been widely discussed from cognitive and instructional perspectives, empirical evidence on its relationship with socio-emotional competence in EFL junior high school contexts remains limited. This study aims to examine the relationship between students’ socio-emotional competence and their speaking skills in an EFL classroom.Methods – This study employed a quantitative correlational design involving 30 seventh-grade EFL students at rural private junior high school. Data were collected using a socio-emotional competence questionnaire and a speaking skill test and were analyzed using Pearson Product–Moment correlation. Findings – The analysis revealed a moderate and statistically significant positive relationship between socio-emotional competence and speaking skill (r = 0.452, p < .05). It signifies that socio-emotional competence functions as a meaningful psychosocial resource that supports speaking performance rather than as a direct determinant. The statistically significant association reinforces the view that speaking skill is not merely a cognitive-linguistic outcome but is co-constructed through emotional regulation, social interaction skills, and self-awareness. However, the results do not imply a causal relationship between the variables. Research Implications – The findings suggest that socio-emotional competence is meaningfully associated with students’ speaking skill and therefore deserves attention in the design of speaking instruction. Teachers may integrate collaborative tasks, confidence-building activities, and emotional awareness strategies to support students’ oral participation. However, this study with a small sample size and the focus on a single junior high school context limit the generalizability of the finding. Future studies with larger samples and experimental designs are recommended to explore potential causal mechanisms across different educational settings.

Abstract

Character development is a central goal of primary education that must be implemented in a systematic and sustainable manner. An integrated thematic curriculum is considered a relevant approach because it enables the integration of character values across all subjects and learning activities. This study aims to describe and analyze children’s character development through the implementation of an integrated thematic curriculum in primary schools. The study adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and school principals, and analysis of instructional documents. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and continuous conclusion drawing.The results show that the integrated thematic curriculum effectively develops children’s character in an integrated and contextual way. The character values that emerged include honesty, responsibility, discipline, hard work, social care, mutual cooperation, nationalism, and integrity. These values are internalized through theme-based lesson planning, the use of active learning methods, teacher role modeling, and consistent habituation during learning activities. Teachers play a key role as facilitators and character models, while the school environment functions as a space for reinforcing values. The study also identifies challenges, including limited instructional time, differences in student characteristics, and variations in teachers’ competence in integrating character values. This study concludes that an integrated thematic curriculum is an effective means of developing children’s character in primary schools when supported by careful planning, teacher competence, and collaboration among all members of the school community.
