Abstract

Cooking oil is a food that is often used by the functioning community as a conductor of heat, a savory flavor enhancer and an increase in the calorie value of food. Some people use cooking oil with multiple uses as a medium for frying, the use of repeated cooking oil causes cooking oil to be used and if consumed it will be dangerous for health. Noni fruit (Morinda citrifolia L) is one of the fruits used as refining cooking oil its function as an adsorbent and chelating where its compounds have the ability to prevent damage and stabilize free radicals. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding noni fruit to used cooking oil to iodine numbers. This research method is quasi-experimental. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The sample used is cooking oil which is used to fry tilapia fish 4 times. This research was carried out by adsorption process that is by adding samples with noni fruit concentration concentration of 15%, 20%, 25% and 30% at a speed of 100 rpm for 60 minutes at a temperature of 90° C. Determination of iodine numbers is done by iodometric titration how the wijs work. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be seen that the magnitude of the values maintained by iod numbers with concentrations of 15%, 20%, 25% and 30% respectively are 48.10 Gram lod / 100 Gr. 49.43 Gram lod / 100 Gr. 50.71 Gram lod / 100 Gr and 51.47 Gram lod / 100 Gr. The results of the analysis of thetest were Linear Regression obtained (p= 0,000 <0.05), indicating that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which mean where is the effect of adding noni fruit powder to iodine numbers.

Abstract

Air merupakan kebutuhan pokok bagi kehidupan manusia, dimana kebutuhan air dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sangat penting baik di lingkungan rumah tangga maupun industri Pencemaran air bisa terjadi dari virus, bakteri patogen, parasit dan zat kimia, zat kimia dapat terjadi pada sumber air atau pun terjadi pada saat pengaliran air olahan dari pusat pengolahan ke konsumen Beberapa penyakit menular yang diakibatkan oleh pencemaran air adalah Hepatitis A, Poliomyelins, Cholera, Typus, Dysentri Amoeba, Ascariasis, Trachoma.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah angka kuman yang terkandung dalam air pencuci tangan dari pedagang kaki lima dan warung makan.Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Casual comparative dengan teknik pengambilan sampel sampling jenuh. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah air pencuci tangan pedagang kaki lima sebanyak 9 sampel dan sampel air pencuci tangan warung makan sebanyak 18 sampel yang terdapat di Desa Sungai Raya. Sampel penelitian ini adalah air pencuci tangan dari pedagang kaki lima dan warung makan yang terdapat di wilayah Desa Sungai Raya. Angka kuman diperiksa dengan menggunakan media Nutrien Agar.Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan angka kuman air pencuci tangan pada pedagang kaki lima didapatkan nilai minimum 13746 dengan nilai maksimum 905706 dan nilai rata-rata diperoleh 148730,11.

Abstract

A Jamaican Cherry is a plant which is often found on the edge of the road and home garden. The part of the Jamaican cherry plant which is often used is the part of the leaves and fruit. Jamaican cherry leaves have many benefits, one of them is can be used as an antibacterial. This study aims to knowing the effect of ethanol extract of Jamaican cherry leaves on inhibiting the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria diffusion method with a concentration of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80% and 90%. This research used a quasi experiment (Quasi experiment design). The population of this study was the Jamaican cherry leaves extracted from JalanAdiSucipto, Kubu Raya Regency. The sample of this research was Jamaican cherry leaf extract with a concentration of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80% and 90%. The results it was obtained that the average diameter of the inhibition zone produced by ethanol extract of Jamaican cherry leaves (Muntingiacalabura L) in inhibiting the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria diffusion method was 10% concentration of 13.8 mm, 20% was 15.3 mm, 30% of 16.0 mm, of 40% of 17.0 mm, 50% of 18.2 mm, 60% of 20.5 mm, 70% of 21.2 mm, 80% of 21, 3 mm and 90% at 23.7 mm. effective concentration is it a concentration of 50% with an average inhibition zone of 18,2 mm.The simple linear regression test result obtained a significant value of p of 0,000 <α 0,05 which states that Hais accepted, which means that there is influence ofethanol extract Jamaican cherry inhibiting the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria diffusion method.

Abstract

Kacang hijau dan kacang merah dapat dibuat menjadi media alternatif pertumbuhan bakteri karena mengandung protein, karbohidrat, kalsium, fosfor, besi dan vitamin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan pertumbuhan jumlah koloni bakteri Shigella dysentriae pada media alami kacang hijau dan kacang merah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment. Dimana biji kacang hijau dan kacang merah di rendam untuk dilepaskan dari kulitnya. Setelah itu kacang hijau dan kacang merah dikeringkan, dihaluskan hingga menjadi tepung. Kemudian di tambah agar murni, dilarutkan dengan aquadest, dipanaskan dan dihomogenkan. Setelah itu disterilkan. Kemudian dipergunakan untuk media pertumbuhan bakteri Shigella dysentriae. Hasil penelitian diperoleh jumlah rata-rata bakteri Shigella dysentriae yang tumbuh pada media kacang hijau sebanyak 100,44x10ª CFU/ml, pada media kacang merah sebanyak 85,81x10 CFU/ml dan pada media Nutrient Agar (media kontrol) sebanyak 101,50x104 CFU/ml. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah tidak ada perbedaan pertumbuhan jumlah koloni bakteri Shigella dysentriae pada media kacang hijau dan media Nutrient agar dengan nilai signifikan 0,555.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a fairly high biodiversity, one of which is red shoots (Syzygium oleana). Red shoots are reported to have strong potential to inhibit bacterial growth, including tannins, saponins, flavonoids, and essential oils. To increase effectiveness in utilizing the potential of red shoots, it is made in a practical and easy-to-use dosage form. One of the effective dosage forms for topical therapy is hand sanitizer. The increasing prevalence of the corona virus has caused a shortage of hand sanitizers. Until now, there is no treatment that can cure Corona virus infection. Therefore, the World Health Organization (WHO) appeals to take preventive measures, one of which is washing hands properly. This  study aimed  to examine the antibacterial potential of red shoots (Syzygium oleana) against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria using the disc method. The juice is made in the form of a Hand Sanitizer Spay. The antibacterial activity was obtained by measuring the diameter of the inhibition zone after giving 4 variations of the concentration of the juice sample. Positive control used amoxicillin 30 g/disk and negative control used aquadest. The next stage of analysis of the quality of hand sanitizers includes organoleptic tests, pH measurements. The research design used is a quasi-experimental method. This research was started in May-December 2022. Samples in the form of red shoots were made in the form of Hand Sanitizer Spay with various concentrations of 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% and the average inhibition zone value was 11.8 mm, 12.6 mm, 13.75 mm and 14.4 mm. Based on the results of research and computerized data processing with the Simple Linear Regression test, the value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05) means that there is an effect of the concentration of hand sanitizer squeezed from red shoots on the inhibition of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria.

Abstract

The parameter of this research is the inhibition of red shoot leaf juice (Syzygium oleana) against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This research is a quasi-experimental research (Quasy Experiment). The sample in this study was red shoots leaf juice with 6 repetitions, the number of samples was 24, diluted from the red shoots leaf extract to 5%, the average inhibition zone was 7,33,33 mm, 10% inhibition zone 8 ,17,33 mm, 15% inhibition zone 9 mm and 20% inhibition zone 11.4 mm, amoxicillin positive control and negative control using aquadest. Based on the statistical results of the Anova test, the value of Sig. 0.000 (p= 0.001 < 0.005) which means that there is an effect of red shoot leaf juice (Syzygium oleana) in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus by diffusion method.

Abstract

Daun kemangi merupakan salah satu tanaman yang memiliki banyak manfaat salah satunya adalah sebagai anti bakteri. Daun kemangi memiliki senyawa kimia seperti flavonoid, tanin, fenolik, saponin dan minyak atsiri yang dapat berperan sebagai anti bakteri. Sehingga dapat digunakan untuk kesehatan dan  kebersihan kaki, terutama untuk penghilang bau kaki yang disebabkan oleh bakteri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya aktivitas anti bakteri pada sediaan spray perasan daun kemangi dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri staphylococcus epidermidis. Metode uji yang digunakan ialah metode difusi cakram. Perasan daun kemangi diformulasikan menjadi spray dengan konsentrasi yang berbeda yaitu 15%, 20% dan 25% setiap konsentrasi dilakukan 9 kali pengulangan sehingga sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 27 sampel. Sediaan spray kemudian di uji evaluasi dan di uji aktivitas anti bakteri terhadap bakteri staphylococcus epidermidis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sediaan spray perasan daun kemangi memiliki aktivitas anti bakteri dalam menghambat pertumbuhan staphylococcus epidermidis dengan luas zona hambat berturut-turut sebesar 9,61 mm (F1=15%) kategori sedang, 10,56 mm (F2=20%) kategori sedang, 12,83 mm (F3=25%) kategori kuat.

Abstract

Sabun adalah salah satu produk pembersih kulit yang paling banyak dan sudah sejak lama berabad-abad silam yang lalu telah digunakan yang didasarkan pada surfaktan. Sabun berbahan baku bahan alam masih jarang ditemukan di pasaran. Kebanyakan dari sabun tersebut masih menggunakan bahan sintetik sebagai bahan aktifnya. Daun insulin memiliki kandungan  senyawa antibakteri diantaranya seperti tanin, flavonoid, alkaloid, hingga saponin yang dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan aktif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan perbedaan sabun cair ekstrak daun insulin formula I dan formula II dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus metode difusi. Penelitian ini berbentuk Quasi Experimental Design dengan teknik sampling purposive. Sampel yang digunakan adalah sediaan sabun cair esktrak daun insulin yang dibuat sebanyak 2 perlakuan, yaitu sediaan sabun cair ekstrak daun insulin formula I (ekstrak 10%) dan formula II (ekstrak 15%) yang dibuat 16 kali pengulangan pada masing-masing perlakuan, sehingga total sampel yang digunakan untuk 2 kelompok perlakuan adalah 32 sediaan yang diuji kekuatan antibakterinya dalam menghambat Staphylococcus aureus dengan mengunakan metode difusi cakram Kirby-Bauer. Hasil penelitian sediaan sabun cair ekstrak daun insulin didapatkan pengukuran zona hambat pada formula I rata-rata sebesar 9,5 mm kategori sedang dan formula II rata-rata sebesar 14,9 mm kategori kuat. Hasil analisis statistik uji Wilcoxon didapatkan p value 0,000 < α 0,05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan diameter zona hambat pada sabun cair ekstrak daun insulin formula I dan II dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus metode difusi.
