Abstract

This study explores the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) using loose-part media in early childhood education at RA Umi Sundari, a private ECE institution in Indonesia. PjBL is recognized for promoting active, meaningful learning by engaging children in real-world projects that integrate exploration, problem-solving, and collaboration. Despite its growing adoption, the integration of PjBL with loose-part media—flexible, open-ended materials such as stones, bottle caps, or sticks—remains under-researched, especially in the context of private early childhood settings. Employing a qualitative descriptive method and an intrinsic case study design, this research investigates how PjBL with loose parts supports the cognitive, motor, and social development of young children. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings reveal that loose-part-based PjBL fosters creativity, independence, and critical thinking while enhancing children’s enthusiasm for learning. Teachers played a crucial role as facilitators, guiding exploration through open-ended questions, emotional support, and structured reflection. The study also identifies several challenges, including uneven teacher preparedness, limited material availability, and time constraints for project planning. While the learning outcomes were positive, the research was limited to a single institution and a short timeframe. Therefore, future studies should explore broader applications, long-term impacts, and potential integration with digital tools. This study contributes to the growing body of knowledge on early childhood pedagogical innovation by offering a contextually relevant model for enhancing child development through PjBL and loose-part integration.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes on the prohibition of alcohol consumption through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The background of this study is based on the low understanding of grade XI students of SMK Madka Iqlima Purwakarta regarding the dangers of liquor from health, social, and religious aspects. The PBL model was chosen because it emphasizes students' active involvement in solving real problems that are relevant to their lives, so it is expected to increase students' understanding and participation in learning. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with two cycles involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects consisted of 25 grade 11 students. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observation sheets, and questionnaires, which were analyzed descriptively to see the improvement of learning outcomes before and after the implementation of PBL. The results showed an increase in post-test scores from 63.6 to 78.4 in the first cycle, and increased to 83.6 in the second cycle, with learning completeness reaching 80%. PBL also promotes active participation, critical thinking skills, and student collaboration.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of madrasah principal leadership in shaping students' character through an approach based on Islamic values. This study is based on the importance of character development in the madrasah educational environment that not only emphasizes academic achievement, but also the formation of students' morals according to Islamic teachings. This study was conducted using a qualitative method through semi-structured interviews and observations of two madrasah principals under the auspices of the Pondok Pesantren Education and Social Foundation. The results of the study indicate that the principal applies an exemplary and disciplined approach to build a madrasah culture that values integrity, while the principal of Madrasah Diniyah uses a humanist approach by establishing close personal relationships with students. The contribution of these findings shows that different but complementary leadership strategies can create a conducive learning environment for student character development, and emphasizes the importance of integrity and empathy in building trust between leaders, staff, and students in madrasahs. This study is expected to provide practical insights for madrasah managers in optimizing a leadership approach that is in accordance with the context of education based on Islamic values.

Abstract

The study aims to identify how anti-bullying policies can build student resilience in dealing with bullying. This resilience functions as a fortress that protects students from the impact of the mistreatment they receive. This research method uses a qualitative approach. This qualitative approach was chosen to obtain broad and in-depth information about building student resilience through anti-bullying risk management—a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type is used to examine subjects such as behavior, motivation, and actions. The study results indicate that student resilience can be built through anti-bullying risk management by identifying bullying risks and receiving support from caregivers, counselors, and teacher support so that students can build resilience well. The implications of this study indicate that by placing bullying risks early on and providing support from caregivers, counselors, and teacher support, students can obtain better emotional protection and build mental strength to face difficult situations. Another aspect is that Islamic boarding schools need to establish a secure, encouraging, and supportive setting for students' growth.

Abstract

Although there is no shârih (clear) propotion about the prohibition on going out of the house for a woman who has just been left dead by her husband (‘iddah wafat), but jurists of the four Islamic schools have agreed that women who are iddah wafat may not leave the house except in emergencies or in hajiyah (desperate need). But then they differed about the time and limit of the ban. This study examines the prohibition on going out of the house for a woman who has just been left dead by her husband according to the ulema of ‘four schools. This study uses descriptive analysis method, with analytical techniques in the form of inductive, deductive and comparative. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that women in ‘iddah wafat are allowed to leave the house if there is a need that requires them to leave the house in the morning in hajiyah (needs). While for the night, she may leave the house only at times and in dharâriyah (emergency). Limitation to leave the house for women ‘iddah wafat in hajiyah or dharûriyah conditions is solely for benefit and does not contradict to the principles of maslahah mursalah.Although there is no shârih (clear) propotion about the prohibitionon going out of the house for a woman who has just been left dead by her husband (‘iddahwafat), but jurists of the four Islamic schools have agreed that women who are iddah wafatmay not leave the house except in emergencies or in hajiyah (desperate need). Abstract

This research examines the optimisation of video conferencing tools (VCTs) to enhance virtual collaboration and leadership skills development in educational settings. The research problem focuses on how VCTs can effectively improve interactions among educators and foster essential leadership competencies. The research objectives include identifying best practices for VCT implementation, exploring their impact on leadership development and assessing the challenges institutions face. Utilising a qualitative research design, this research analyses existing literature and case studies to gather insights into using VCTs across various educational contexts. Data was collected through a comprehensive review of scholarly articles, reports and case studies that focus on the effectiveness of VCTs. Major findings indicate that optimised VCTs significantly enhance communication, foster collaboration, and contribute to developing vital leadership skills such as adaptability and emotional intelligence. The research also highlights barriers such as differing levels of technological proficiency and resource access, which can impede effective VCT implementation. In conclusion, the research emphasises the necessity of establishing clear communication protocols, providing ongoing professional development, and cultivating a collaborative culture to maximise the benefits of VCTs. By addressing these challenges and implementing best practices, educational leaders can leverage VCTs to create more engaging and inclusive learning environments, ultimately transforming educational leadership and collaboration in the digital era.
