Abstract

Formulating a quality Islamic education model through an eco-spiritual approach to address the challenges of the digital era, characterized by the high intensity of layer use, is the purpose of this study. This study aims to answer the question of how Islamic education can shape individuals who have spiritual resilience and ecological awareness in facing the challenges of the digital world. The research method is a qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as literature reviews, interviews, and observations of the implementation of Islamic education across various educational institutions. The results of the study show that Islamic education grounded in eco-spiritual resilience has great potential to help individuals overcome the negative impacts of technology, such as cell phone addiction, reduced quality of social relationships, and spiritual crises. The concept of eco-spiritual resilience, integrating Islamic values that prioritize the balance between the physical and the digital and maintain harmony with nature, is part of a comprehensive education. The findings of this study call for the development of Islamic education that not only focuses on improving students' thinking skills, knowledge, and morals, but also on strengthening their psychological and spiritual resilience. Thus, students are expected to respond to technological pressure wisely by maintaining balance in their daily lives.

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of educational technology-based gamification (EdTech) in fostering the multimodal literacy of madrasah ibtidaiyah students. The researchers employed a qualitative case study design and conducted the study at MI Darul Lughah Wal Karomah through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The study examines how teachers design multimodal gamification activities using platforms such as Wordwall, Quizizz, and Kahoot; how multimodal literacy practices emerge; and how students respond to interactive digital learning content. The findings reveal that teachers strategically integrate visual, audio, and textual elements into gamified tasks to promote cross-modal understanding. Students demonstrated multimodal literacy through their interactions with visual and auditory content on EdTech platforms, which stimulated multisensory learning. They also showed greater engagement, faster reading, and improved ability to interpret meaning across different modes of representation. These results indicate that gamification functions not only as an instructional tool but also as a strategic medium for cultivating 21st-century literacy competencies. This study provides practical insights for designing contextualized multimodal learning strategies in madrasas and contributes to the broader discourse on digital literacy in Islamic-based elementary education.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influence of augmented reality (AR) integrated educational games on student motivation in Islamic Education (PAI) classrooms. The research employed a qualitative case study design, conducted in selected schools in East Java, Indonesia, where AR-based gamified learning had been implemented. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, classroom observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using data condensation, display, and verification techniques to ensure credibility. The findings indicate that AR-integrated educational games significantly enhance intrinsic motivation by providing immersive, interactive, and narrative-driven experiences, while also fostering extrinsic motivation through gamification elements such as points, badges, and challenges. Students demonstrated higher engagement, perseverance, and collaborative behaviors, and educators reported improved understanding and participation in PAI lessons. The study contributes to educational theory by extending frameworks of motivation and digital learning to religious education contexts and offers practical implications for designing interactive, technology-enhanced pedagogy that supports both cognitive and socio-emotional development in students.

Abstract

This research examines the optimisation of video conferencing tools (VCTs) to enhance virtual collaboration and leadership skills development in educational settings. The research problem focuses on how VCTs can effectively improve interactions among educators and foster essential leadership competencies. The research objectives include identifying best practices for VCT implementation, exploring their impact on leadership development and assessing the challenges institutions face. Utilising a qualitative research design, this research analyses existing literature and case studies to gather insights into using VCTs across various educational contexts. Data was collected through a comprehensive review of scholarly articles, reports and case studies that focus on the effectiveness of VCTs. Major findings indicate that optimised VCTs significantly enhance communication, foster collaboration, and contribute to developing vital leadership skills such as adaptability and emotional intelligence. The research also highlights barriers such as differing levels of technological proficiency and resource access, which can impede effective VCT implementation. In conclusion, the research emphasises the necessity of establishing clear communication protocols, providing ongoing professional development, and cultivating a collaborative culture to maximise the benefits of VCTs. By addressing these challenges and implementing best practices, educational leaders can leverage VCTs to create more engaging and inclusive learning environments, ultimately transforming educational leadership and collaboration in the digital era.

Abstract

The quality assurance requirement of academic qualification to lecturers is gaining more and more eminent dynamics in the dynamics of higher education in Indonesia. The research will focus on the definition of pressure on the qualification of education and how the same can affect the mental health of lecturers and what the schools can do to balance the quality and their mental health. A qualitative approach was used to collect data in which a case study method was utilized. In-depth interviews, observation and documentation were used to gather the data. The findings of the research reveal that the stress of persisting to be productive in the writing industry, publication of scientific articles and higher level studies is likely to cause an endless cycle of academic anxiety. The institutional and social expectations are usually too much to bear and can lead to emotional burnout, loss of self-confidence and lack of motivation to work. This pressure appears not only as an administrative burden but also as an existential burden that threatens lecturers' mental balance and professionalism. Nevertheless, universities have taken strategic steps by strengthening the role of internal institutional units that control academic quality, as well as full support from university leaders through affirmative policies and tuition assistance. Another solution developed is an academic mentoring program and training to help lecturers upgrade their skills and increase their psychological resilience. This research confirms that higher education quality assurance relies not only on academic achievement but also on the balanced mental health of lecturers.
