Abstract

This study aimed to develop a scientifically-grounded academic supervision model using the OQEAC (Observing, Questioning, Experimenting, Associating, Communicating) framework to enhance the quality of teaching and professional development in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Tulang Bawang, Indonesia. The model was designed to address gaps identified in the existing academic supervision system, including inadequate teacher planning, ineffective learning processes, and the lack of authentic assessment practices. A systematic, evidence-based approach was employed to ensure that the model was tailored to meet the specific needs of teachers. After an in-depth literature review, needs analysis, and expert validation, a pilot trial was conducted with teachers and supervisors, yielding positive feedback on the model's practicality and effectiveness. The study's findings contribute to the growing body of research on improving academic supervision in Indonesia, offering an innovative, structured, and contextually relevant model for enhancing teacher competency and promoting continuous professional development. Future research is suggested to expand this model’s application to other educational contexts, particularly in urban and rural schools across Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the role of instructional supervision in strengthening teacher competence, with a specific focus on the mediating influence of teacher self-efficacy. Despite the recognized importance of supervision in educational improvement, existing literature remains fragmented regarding how supervisory practices, teacher confidence, and competence are interconnected. A structured literature review was conducted, systematically searching peer-reviewed articles from major databases including Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, and ScienceDirect, using keywords such as “instructional supervision,” “teacher competence,” and “teacher self-efficacy.” Studies published in English between 2000 and 2024 that addressed supervision in school contexts and reported theoretical or empirical findings on teacher competence were included, while non-peer-reviewed and unrelated studies were excluded. The review synthesized findings from diverse methodological designs using thematic analysis, identifying three key patterns: instructional supervision improves pedagogical practice through structured guidance and feedback, teacher self-efficacy mediates the translation of supervisory input into competence gains, and collaborative and reflective supervision approaches amplify both confidence and performance. The analysis highlights that effective supervision is most impactful when it addresses cognitive, behavioral, and affective dimensions of teacher development, integrating practical support with psychological empowerment. The novelty of this review lies in positioning teacher self-efficacy as a central mechanism linking supervision and competence, offering a more holistic understanding than previously reported in isolated studies. These findings have significant implications for educational policy and practice, suggesting that school leaders and supervisors should implement developmental, collaborative, and self-efficacy enhancing supervisory models to optimize teacher professional growth and instructional quality across diverse educational settings.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), aiming to enhance learning outcomes and address challenges in adapting to modern educational demands. Using a literature review methodology, this research synthesizes studies published between 2015 and 2023, focusing on the effectiveness of ICT tools, the types of digital resources used in PAI, and the barriers faced by educators in implementing these technologies. The findings indicate that ICT significantly improves student engagement, motivation, and comprehension in PAI subjects, particularly through multimedia tools, mobile applications, and e-learning platforms. However, challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, digital literacy among teachers, and the digital divide between urban and rural areas limit the widespread use of ICT in PAI classrooms. The study highlights the need for increased investments in infrastructure and continuous professional development for teachers to bridge these gaps. Additionally, it calls for policy support at both institutional and governmental levels to facilitate the integration of ICT in religious education. The novelty of this research lies in its focus on the specific application of ICT in PAI, offering insights into how digital tools can modernize Islamic education while preserving its core values. The findings provide valuable recommendations for educators and policymakers to enhance ICT integration in PAI and ensure its effective use in the 21st century.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik, khususnya pada aspek menerapkan (C3) dan mengevaluasi (C5) dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) materi alam semesta sebagai tanda kekuasaan Allah SWT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran IOC (Inside Outside Circle) terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu dan desain posttest-only control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan 48 siswa kelas VII sebagai sampel yang dibagi ke dalam dua kelompok, yaitu eksperimen dan kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes pilihan ganda yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok, ditunjukkan oleh uji Mann–Whitney (p = 0.014) dan uji independent samples t-test (p = 0.048), yang keduanya menunjukkan nilai signifikansi < 0.05 dengan selisih rata-rata sebesar 1.000 pada kelas eksperimen. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran IOC (Inside Outside Circle) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran PAI.Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar, Inside Outside Circle, Pendidikan Agama IslamABSTRACTThis study was motivated by the low level of students’ higher-order thinking skills, particularly in the applying (C3) and evaluating (C5) domains in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), especially on the topic of the universe as a sign of Allah SWT’s power. This study aims to examine the effect of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) learning model on students’ cognitive learning outcomes. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a posttest-only control group design. The sample consisted of 48 seventh-grade students divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through validated and reliable multiple-choice tests. The results showed a significant difference between the two groups, as evidenced by the Mann–Whitney test (p = 0.014) and the independent samples t-test (p = 0.048), both of which are below the 0.05 significance level, with a mean difference of 1.000. These findings indicate that the IOC (Inside Outside Circle) model significantly improves students’ cognitive learning outcomes in PAI.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Inside Outside Circle, Islamic Religious Education

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam manajemen kurikulum dalam mewujudkan peserta didik yang unggul dalam ilmu pengetahuan dan berakhlakul karimah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus di SMP IT Tunas Insan Cendikia Lampung Selatan, sebuah lembaga pendidikan Islam yang menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka yang terintegrasi dengan kurikulum Jaringan Sekolah Islam Terpadu (JSIT). Integrasi kedua kurikulum tersebut dirancang untuk mengoptimalkan pengembangan potensi intelektual sekaligus membentuk karakter Islami yang berlandaskan nilai moral dan spiritual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen kurikulum dilaksanakan secara sistemik, integratif, dan berkelanjutan melalui tahapan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi yang berorientasi pada keseimbangan antara kecerdasan intelektual dan pembentukan akhlakul karimah. Perencanaan dilakukan secara partisipatif dengan melibatkan seluruh pemangku kepentingan serta mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam dalam tujuan dan perangkat pembelajaran dengan memperhatikan keberagaman potensi peserta didik. Pengorganisasian dilaksanakan secara kolaboratif melalui struktur yang jelas, pembagian tugas yang proporsional, dan koordinasi berkelanjutan. Pelaksanaan kurikulum diwujudkan melalui pembelajaran yang konsisten dan terintegrasi, metode yang variatif, keteladanan guru, serta program pembiasaan keagamaan. Evaluasi dilakukan secara sistematis dan menyeluruh mencakup proses pembelajaran, hasil akademik, dan perkembangan akhlakul karimah peserta didik, yang selanjutnya digunakan sebagai dasar refleksi dan perbaikan kurikulum secara berkelanjutan.Kata Kunci: Manajemen kurikulum, Kecerdasan, Akhlaqul karimah.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the management paradigm of Islamic education and the dynamics of contemporary education in the era of the kurikulum merdeka so that it can transform and have attitudes and behavior that can compete, be creative, and innovative while still referring to Islamic education. The research method uses qualitative research, with the type of research being a case study. Data was obtained through surveys and observations, which were then described naturally by researchers. Data analysis was carried out using inductive data analysis. Data analysis was carried out through 3 stages: data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion. Research findings show that Islamic schools embody a new paradigm for successful Islamic education management. With merdeka belajar, learning is accessible and unbound, which moves students to develop their full potential to achieve intellectual, moral, and other skills. Independence is given to students with direction and guidance from the teacher. Freedom to learn from an Islamic perspective is an internal process that moves students to use all their natural, cognitive, affective, and psychomotor potential independently to become human beings who have various intellectual capabilities, skills, and morals, carrying out the mission of rahmatan lil a'lamin to worship Allah SWT.

Abstract

The implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) at Private Islamic Religious Higher Education Institutions (PTKIS) often faces challenges such as a weak quality culture, inconsistent follow-up, and the perception that accreditation is merely administrative. Furthermore, digitalization through the Sapto 2.0 platform has given rise to new shortcomings: reliance on a manual reminder approach in reporting lecturer grades, gaps in data markup in Student Lecture Activity (AKM) reports, and inconsistencies in the Semester Credit Unit (SKS) system during accreditation. This study aims to analyze the implementation of SPMI and responses to external quality assurance at Ma'arif University, Lampung, with a focus on the PPEPP cycle (Determination, Implementation, Evaluation, Control, Improvement). A qualitative case study approach was used. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 10 informants (leaders, Head of LPM, heads of study programs, lecturers, and educational staff), documentation studies, and observations. The results indicate that structurally, SPMI is implemented through an annual PPEPP cycle that produces a measurable follow-up plan. However, three critical deficiencies were found: (1) the practice of marking up AKM data prior to accreditation due to target pressures and system weaknesses, (2) inconsistencies in recording credits between RPS and transcripts due to unvalidated data migration, and (3) the lack of connection between the internal quality reporting system and the graduate tracer study. The response to external quality assurance (LAMDIK assessment) provided a moment for reflection, but without transparent digital improvements, the synergy between SPMI and SPME remains vulnerable to administrative manipulation. It was concluded that continuous quality improvement in PTKIS requires a reliable electronic quality assurance system, with an audit trail, and integrated with the tracer study, not just an annual cycle formality.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the challenges faced by madrasah ibtidaiyah in maintaining the quality of education amid limited resources and the demands of the Society 5.0 era, which requires adaptation to technology and social change. The gap between the ideal of educational quality and the actual conditions in the field underscores the need for practical, adaptive quality management strategies. Therefore, this study aims to analyse quality management strategies to address the resilience crisis in madrasah ibtidaiyahs, enabling them to maintain and improve their quality amid limitations. This study uses a qualitative case study approach conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Terpadu Muhammadiyah Bandar Lampung. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analysed using the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that quality management strategies in both madrasahs are implemented through the visionary leadership of the madrasah principal, a culture of participatory deliberation, teacher competency development, creativity enhancement, and active student involvement in the learning process. Factors supporting this strategy include the spirit of teacher innovation, student participation, and collective awareness of the importance of quality education. The implications of this study emphasise the importance of strengthening teachers’ digital literacy, fostering a culture of collaboration, and securing external support from the government and community to enhance madrasah resilience in the era of Society 5.0.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perencanaan kurikulum bahasa Arab berbasis pendekatan kontekstual yang terintegrasi dengan pembelajaran kitab kuning dan program keagamaan di lingkungan pesantren. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada masih dominannya pendekatan struktural dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang kurang mampu mengembangkan kompetensi komunikatif dan keterkaitan dengan praktik keagamaan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus yang dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Darussalam, Lampung, selama satu semester. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan 12 partisipan, serta analisis dokumen kurikulum, dan dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman melalui tahapan coding, kategorisasi, dan penarikan tema. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan kurikulum didasarkan pada enam prinsip utama, yaitu integrasi keilmuan, relevansi, pengalaman langsung, fleksibilitas, kolaboratif, dan integrasi kitab kuning, yang diwujudkan melalui keterpaduan antara bahasa Arab, program Tahfidz, Ubudiyah, dan Aqidah. Kurikulum memiliki karakteristik kontekstual, student-centered, dan berbasis praktik keagamaan dengan memanfaatkan metode tradisional seperti sorogan dan bandongan yang dipadukan dengan pendekatan modern. Temuan juga menunjukkan bahwa meskipun desain kurikulum telah komprehensif, implementasinya masih menghadapi tantangan pada aspek evaluasi autentik, variasi kemampuan siswa, dan keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam menawarkan model kurikulum bahasa Arab yang integratif dan kontekstual berbasis pesantren, yang dapat menjadi rujukan bagi pengembangan kurikulum di lembaga pendidikan Islam serupa.

Abstract

Transformasi kurikulum di era pendidikan modern menuntut pendekatan pembelajaran yang tidak lagi bersifat fragmentaris, melainkan terpadu dan kontekstual. Salah satu pendekatan yang dinilai efektif adalah pembelajaran terpadu yang mengintegrasikan berbagai mata pelajaran ke dalam satu pengalaman belajar yang utuh dan bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara sistematis pengertian kurikulum dan pembelajaran terpadu, model-model keterpaduan yang dapat diterapkan, serta strategi manajemen yang efektif dalam mendukung implementasinya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR), Artikel yang dianalisis adalah publikasi ilmiah yang terbit dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun terakhir (2015–2025) dan memenuhi kriteria inklusi, seperti relevansi terhadap tema kurikulum terpadu serta telah melalui proses peer-review. Populasi penelitian adalah artikel-artikel ilmiah yang relevan dalam ranah kurikulum dan pembelajaran terpadu, sedangkan sampel dipilih secara purposive berdasarkan relevansi dan kontribusinya terhadap fokus kajian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran terpadu dapat diterapkan melalui tiga model utama: integrasi dalam satu mata pelajaran, lintas mata pelajaran, dan dalam serta lintas siswa. Strategi manajemen yang efektif mencakup perencanaan kurikulum fleksibel, kolaborasi antarguru lintas mapel, serta evaluasi berbasis refleksi dan autentik. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa manajemen kurikulum yang terintegrasi secara sistemik dapat menjadi kunci dalam mewujudkan pendidikan yang adaptif, holistik, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan abad ke-21. Dampak temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran terpadu dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Saran tindak lanjut yang diusulkan meliputi penguatan kapasitas guru melalui pelatihan, pengembangan kurikulum yang fleksibel, serta penerapan evaluasi autentik untuk mendukung implementasi pembelajaran terpadu secara efektif.
