Abstract

The process of releasing the fetus known as childbirth is marked by contractions that thin the uterus and cervix, resulting in pain during labor. Every woman who is about to give birth will experience physiological labor pain. Counterpressure massage is one way to ease labor pain. The purpose of this study is to ascertain whether or not counterpressure massage reduces the intensity of pain during labor's active phase. A pre- and post-test, one-group, control design, and a sample size of 60 respondents were used in this study. The Wilcoxon test was used to conduct an analysis and observation sheets were used to collect data. The examination results show that counterpressure knead is viable in decreasing torment force during the main phase of work in the dynamic stage, which is demonstrated by the aftereffects of information examination where the p-esteem = 0.000 < 0.05 so the outcomes got are that H0 is dismissed and H1 is acknowledged. The examination results show that counterpressure knead is viable in lessening torment force during the main phase of work in the dynamic stage, which is demonstrated by the consequences of information investigation where the p-esteem = 0.000 < 0.05 so the outcomes got are that H0 is dismissed and H1 is acknowledged. Counterpressure massage is an effective alternative that should be used to ease labor pain during the first active stage.

Abstract

The problem of education in Vonggo Village is a crucial matter that needs to be resolved immediately. The presence of the Vonggo Communal School is expected to be a beacon for the Vonggo people so that they can pursue education like other children in general. This paper aims to look at how the Vonggo Village community responds to the inclusion of education through the Vonggo Communal School and see how the Vonggo Communal School's management strategy is in habituating community school practices. The method used in this research is qualitative research with a participatory action research (PAR) approach. The problems in this study were analyzed using the Habituation theory by Pierre Bourdieu. The results showed that at the beginning of SKV's presence, there were negative responses, including 1) people's attitude which tended to be closed; 2) there is public opinion that education is not a priority; and 3) concerns about the entry of Islamization through schools. However, over time, the community began to show a positive response by starting to participate in the development of school implementation and the emergence of enthusiasm to send their children to SKV. SKV, which is still relatively new, has been running quite well, but in its implementation, there are still many problems that require various alternative solutions so that this school can run continuously.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescence is a critical period in physical and psychological development that requires optimal sleep quality. Poor sleep hygiene can negatively impact the quality of adolescent sleep, especially for those who live in boarding houses and are far from parental supervision. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between sleep hygiene and adolescent sleep quality in Dangdeur Subang Village. Methods: The research design used was quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of boarding school teenagers who were selected through a simple random sampling technique. The instruments used were the Sleep hygiene Index (SHI) questionnaire and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Data analysis was carried out using the spearman rank correlation test. Results and Discussion: The results of the study showed that the majority of adolescents had poor sleep hygiene behavior and poor sleep quality. There was a significant association between sleep hygiene and sleep quality (p < 0.05), suggesting that adolescents with good sleep hygiene tended to have better sleep quality. Conclusion: This study emphasizes the importance of education and behavioral intervention of sleep hygiene in adolescents, especially those living in boarding school environments. It is hoped that the results of this study can be the basis for a more effective sleep health promotion program for adolescents.

Abstract

Breakfast is an important habit to support learning concentration, energy fulfillment, and prevent nutritional disorders in elementary school children. However, most children still skip breakfast due to a lack of knowledge and awareness about the importance of a healthy breakfast. This study aims to determine the effect of health education on increasing knowledge about the importance of breakfast among elementary school students in Medan Sunggal District, Medan City. This study used a pre-experimental one group pretest–posttest design. Data collection was conducted through interviews using a structured questionnaire that measured the level of student knowledge before and after being given health education. Education was carried out through an interactive lecture method with video media about balanced nutrition. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test at a 95% confidence level. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge scores after health education (p < 0.000). This indicates that health education has an effect on increasing student knowledge about the importance of breakfast. It is hoped that schools and parents will collaborate continuously through educational activities about nutrition and health as an effort to prevent nutritional problems in elementary school students who are the next generation of the nation.

Abstract

This study thoroughly explores the variables that influence the work readiness of accounting students from Generation Z, focusing on self-efficacy, career planning, and social support. The research employed a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. Data were collected through a Likert scale (1–5) questionnaire from 349 Generation Z accounting students who had completed at least their sixth semester. The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 20, including validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results show that all three variables have a significant and positive effect on work readiness, with regression coefficients of 0.461 for self-efficacy, 0.475 for career planning, and 0.426 for social support. Career planning emerged as the most dominant predictor with the highest standardized beta value (0.443). These findings indicate that enhancing self-efficacy through practical experiences, structured career planning, and strong social support from families, lecturers, and peers plays a crucial role in improving students’ work readiness. This study highlights the importance of a holistic approach that integrates students, educational institutions, and social environments. Future research is recommended to incorporate additional variables such as digital adaptability and emotional intelligence and to apply longitudinal and mixed-method approaches for a more comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of effective learning models in elementary schools, particularly in the context of the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka), which emphasizes a student-centered approach. However, initial observations at SDN 14 Sungai Raya indicated that the fifth-grade science learning module still tended to be teacher-centered. Therefore, this study focused on examining the learning models planned by teachers in the fifth-grade science learning module, identifying the type of model used (teacher-centered vs. student-centered), and evaluating its suitability with the principles of the Independent Curriculum. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The research stages included data collection through documentation analysis of two learning modules (Food Chain and Ecosystem Balance) and structured interviews with fifth-grade teachers. Data analysis focused on model identification (Inquiry and TGT were found) and classification of the learning steps. The results showed that although the selected learning models (Inquiry and TGT) had the potential to be student-centered, the main finding was that the planning in the learning modules still showed a dominant role of the teacher at several stages and had not optimally implemented the full model syntax to encourage student engagement. It was concluded that the learning planning in the teaching module was not fully aligned with the spirit of the Independent Curriculum, requiring further reflection and development to make it more interactive and student-centered.
