Abstract

Abstract : This research is motivated by the low learning result for third grader students of Primary School 94 Pekanbaru on science. It can be seen from the Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning is 75 and there were 6 out of 31 students who passed the Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning (19.36%) and those who did not reach the Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning were 25 students (80.64%) with average score is 60.96. This study aims to improve the learning result of science through inquiry learning model for third grader students of Primary School 94 Pekanbaru. This type of research is classroom action research. Moreover, the data collection techniques are learning result test and observation sheet. The test is used to collect the data such as student learning result and the observation sheet is used to collect data on teacher and student activities. The pre-test that has passed score is 19.36%. Meanwhile, the post-test in the first cycle improves about 45.16% and the improvement in the second cycle is 83.87%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of inquiry learning model can improve science learning result of third grader students at Primary School 94 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Inquiry Learning Model, Science Learning Result

Abstract

This research is a quasi experimental research and design used is ARandomized Pretes-Postest Control Group Design. The subject of the researchdetermined by random toward experimental and control groups. The results of this studyshowed that there was differences class between implements the inquiry learning andconventional learning. Mean score N-Gain science of process skills students washighest in primary schools reached 0.29 A, while for the N-Gain lowest in primaryschools C of 0.15 As for the indicators of science-process skills, process skills of thehighest indicators in the experimental class there is the aspect of the hypothesis, whilethe lowest indicator contained in the aspect of the question. In the control class there areindicators that contained by aspects of the hypothesis while the lowest was on aspects ofobservation. The results visible experimental class science process skills results showedhigher levels of N-gain control of the class. The results in the experimental classsignificantly more improve students’ science process skills than conventional class.Keywords: Science Process Skills, Learning Science

Abstract

In line with the competency-based curriculum at the University of Riau, then efforts to improve learning in science courses Basic Concepts 2 put emphasis on understanding the concept of matter, which is based on students' learning activities through inquiry scientifik. Implementation of action research that consists of two cycles in PGSD JIP University of Riau, on the odd semester of the TA 2013/2014 with the third semester students study subjects by 55 students. Based on the research results , the lecture by applying the model of inquiry learning , increased student activity , where in the first cycle all activities except activities either category one and category two pretty while the first and second cycles of the four categorized well , while the activity of the second , third and sixth category five splendidly. While improving student learning of pre-tests with an average increased to 77.0 at 65.45 daily tests I and increased to 77.45 on the daily tests II, an increase from the first cycle of initial data points ranging from 11.55, while the data from the beginning of the second kesiklus increased average The average student score 12 points. Improved student learning outcomes in general possible because the learning model used inquiry learning so that learning becomes active which centered on the students by presenting a problem, then students are asked to carry out a simple experiment using equipment and tools, using data, prepare. reports, communicate the results of observations based on concepts and principles learned

Abstract

In line with the competency-based curriculum at the University of Riau, the effort to improvelearning basic concepts of science 2 courses puts emphasis on understanding the concept ofmatter, which is based on students' learning activities through scientific inquiry.Implementation of action research consists of two cycles in PGSD JIP University of Riau onthe odd semester of 2013/2014 with 55 third semester students. Temporarily student’s learningoutcomes increased from pre-tests with an average65.45 into 77,0 in daily test I and 77.45onthe daily test II. Improvement from initial data to the first cycle was 11.55, while the datafrom the beginning to the second cycle increased 12 points. In general the improvement ofstudents’learning is possible because the learning model used is inquiry learning so thatlearning becomes active which centered into students by presenting a problem, then studentsare asked to carry out a simple experiment using equipment and tools, using data, arrangingreports, communicating the results of observations based on concepts and learned principles.Keywords: Inquiry, students’ activity, learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research was qualitative research with descriptive method. Subject was student teachers who took Fundamental Science 1. Based on validity analysis of item on 1 % significance level, there were 16 valid items, 26 valid ietms for 5 % significance level, and 14 invalid items. Then, analysis of distinguishing items, the item number 20 was very worst, 15 items were poor, other 15 item were fair and the other items were good. Meanwhile, analysis of level of difficulty, 17 item were very easy, 9 items were easy, 11 items were moderate, an item was difficult, and the others were very difficult. Abstract

The purpose of this research is that to create even distribution and understanding about life areaeducation to primary school students that will obtain students’ attitudes in doing actionsappropriating to the concept of life area education and create an alternative the development of lifearea education in Pekanbaru based on national curriculum or local curriculum. So that it can givecontribution to the curriculum in in real on the framework of life area education. The data used in thisresearch were primary and secondary data. Primary data sources from survey (direct observation) atschool, interview with stakeholder related to Head of Education Department, headmasters, andteachers. Primary data were also obtained by giving qutionare to headmasters, teachers, and studentsrelated to cognitive, affective, and psychomotor about life area education. Secondary data wereobtained from school condition like document of PLH activities at school and also stakeholders. Basedon the data of school curriculum analysis to life area education that it can be integrated into fivesubjects that are religion, civics, science and technology, art, and physic education. Based oneducation stakeholder analysis that they supported the life area education to put into local curriculumand to be implemented into daily life at school. Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive multimedia learning media on science subjects using Adobe Flash as a learning media for SD IVC classes. This development is in the form of learning media products in an interactive CD. The method used in this study uses the Research and Development (R & D) method with a 4D model that has 4 stages of development, namely define, design, development, and desseminate. The results of the validation test show that interactive multimedia learning media in science subjects are declared good with the results of validation by media experts 3.75 with very valid categories, expert material 3.5 with very valid categories, and by 3.54 users in good categories. Based on the N-Gain of 0.60 with the medium category and it can be said that the effectiveness of interactive multimedia as a learning media is classified as effective. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the development of interactive multimedia on science subjects using adobe flash as an instructional media for SD IVC is declared feasible and effective to be used in the learning and teaching process

Abstract

The sustainability of this research from Biermann has a focus on collaborating on the earth system governance network based on five research challenges namely architecture, agency, adaptability, allocation, and accountability. Research in order to link the relationship of social science with the earth's governance system. It turns out that the social system is very influential in the earth's governance system, so the need to instill the value of the value of love of nature since elementary education so that the impact of the social system on the earth's governance system in the future can be minimized. The results of this study indicate that social systems consisting of people, governments, and non-government actors must work together to deal with the impact of a dynamic earth governance system. For this reason, elementary education is needed to reduce the negative impact of changes in the earth's governance system through the cultivation of character education that loves the environment while having a sense of responsibility.

Abstract

Scientific literacy has become a fundamental focus of Education and is related to the ability to criticize scientific discussions. From the beginning we are required to be able to make decisions by individuals and have a sense of responsiveness to public issues related to science but do not rule out access to get it all must be good both in terms of learning in elementary school. Learning is divided into two, namely conventional and problem-based learning based on scaffolding. The result of this article is the need to increase mathematical modeling skills in students with a problem-based learning approach is higher than conventional. So, Problem based learning will certainly have a positive effect to tackle global warming by applying five main challenges and correlating the relationship of the earth's governance system to social science with elementary education input as the spearhead of generational change for the better.

Abstract

Abstract: The problem in this research is less of result in writing skills at grade III class. This is because teachers taught monotone, did not use instructional media, and lack of mastered classes by teachers. Therefore, this research aimed to improve the narrative essay in student writing skills by using picture series. This research was done in class IIIC SD Negeri 94 Pekanbaru. The total of number 37 students. The method used in this research is classroom action research (PTK). This research using data analysis techniques activities of teachers and students activities, the analysis of narrative essay writing skills as well as improving narrative essay writing skills. Based on the results of this research by using the media picture series, the student’s skill every cycle has increased the average on the basis of score obtained from homeroom III 53,51, after conducted the action in the first cycle increased to 60,24 and the second cycle increased to 72,81. It can be concluded that using media picture series can improve the writing skills narrative essay third grade students of SD Negeri 94 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Picture series, writing skills, essay narrative
