Abstract

This study aims to analyze the reading literacy ability in Indonesian language among fifth-grade students at the Group of Islamic Elementary Schools (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) in Region VII, Gerung District, West Lombok Regency for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects were selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and tests. The data analysis technique follows the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The analysis results show that students' Indonesian text literacy skills can be categorized into four levels. First, very good category with 0 students or 0 percent. Second, good category with 9 students or 23 percent. Third, fair category with 28 students or 71 percent. Fourth, poor category with 2 students or 5 percent. Regarding the literacy indicators, very low literacy skills were found in 2 students or 5.12 percent. Lack of understanding of reading questions was found in 0 students or 0.00 percent. Inability to summarize the reading text was found in 28 students or 71.79 percent. Ability to summarize the reading text was found in 9 students or 23.07 percent.

Abstract

Low early reading skills among first-grade students are one of the fundamental problems in early literacy learning. The lack of engaging and interactive learning media causes students to be less motivated to develop basic reading skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of using mobile applications on improving students' early reading skills. This study is a quasi-experimental study with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects of this study were first-grade students, with a total of 40 students consisting of 20 students in the experimental class and 20 students in the control class, determined through purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using a preliminary reading skills test covering three indicators: letter recognition, word recognition, and reading words and sentences. The instrument used was a test sheet. Data analysis was conducted quantitatively using an Independent Sample T-test to compare pretest and posttest results between groups. The analysis results showed a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class, indicating that the use of mobile applications had a positive effect on early reading skills. The conclusion of this study is that mobile applications are effective as an alternative learning medium to improve students' early reading skills. The implications of this study suggest that the integration of technology in early reading learning can be an innovative solution in improving literacy quality in elementary schools.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the application of deep learning technology in the learning process at junior high schools (SMP) in Konawe Regency. Deep learning, as a branch of artificial intelligence (AI), has the potential to improve learning effectiveness through personalisation of teaching materials and comprehensive data analysis of student development. The research objects include four junior high schools in Konawe Regency, namely SMPN 1 Unaaha, SMPN 2 Unaaha, SMPN 1 Wonggeduku, and SMPN 2 Wonggeduku. The method used is a case study with a qualitative approach, which includes interviews with teachers and principals as well as direct observation of the implementation of deep learning in the learning process. The results show that although the implementation of deep learning technology is still on a limited scale, its impact on improving the quality of learning including increased student motivation, better understanding of the material, and more precise ability to analyse student development is quite significant. However, the implementation of this technology still faces a number of obstacles, especially related to infrastructure limitations and the need for continuous training for teachers. Therefore, this study recommends increasing infrastructure support and continuous training so that the potential of deep learning can be maximised in the context of secondary education.   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan teknologi pembelajaran mendalam (deep learning) dalam proses pembelajaran di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di Kabupaten Konawe. Pembelajaran mendalam, sebagai salah satu cabang kecerdasan buatan (AI), berpotensi meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran melalui personalisasi materi ajar dan analisis data perkembangan siswa yang komprehensif. Objek penelitian meliputi empat SMP di Kabupaten Konawe, yaitu SMPN 1 Unaaha, SMPN 2 Unaaha, SMPN 1 Wonggeduku, dan SMPN 2 Wonggeduku. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang meliputi wawancara dengan guru dan kepala sekolah serta observasi langsung terhadap implementasi pembelajaran mendalam dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun implementasi teknologi pembelajaran mendalam masih dalam skala terbatas, dampaknya terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, termasuk peningkatan motivasi siswa, pemahaman materi yang lebih baik, dan kemampuan menganalisis perkembangan siswa yang lebih presisi, cukup signifikan. Namun, implementasi teknologi ini masih menghadapi sejumlah kendala, terutama terkait keterbatasan infrastruktur dan perlunya pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi guru. Oleh karena itu, studi ini merekomendasikan peningkatan dukungan infrastruktur dan pelatihan berkelanjutan agar potensi pembelajaran mendalam dapat dimaksimalkan dalam konteks pendidikan menengah.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi menjadi tantangan dalam peningkatan kompetensi sumber daya manusia yang dimulai dari bidang Pendidikan khususnya bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan dampak dari implementasi model berbasis TPACK pada muatan IPS terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun subjek dari penelitian ini adalah buku dan kajian literatur dari penelitian sebelumnya serta artikel tereputasi nasional dari tahun 2020 sampai 2024. Data diperoleh melalui studi pustaka dengan membaca jurnal model pembelajaran berbasis TPACK dan teknik catat sebagai metode pokok dan juga metode observasi sebagai metode pelengkap. Data dianalisis dengan metode interpretatif yang selanjutnya disajikan secara deskriptif dengan teknik induktif-deduktif. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis TPACK memiliki dampak yang positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa dimana siswa menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar dengan penerapan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, peningkatan keterampilan sosial interaksi siswa dengan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa, serta mendukung ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran. Selain bagi siswa, model pembelajaran berbasi TPACK juga berdampak pada kreativitas guru dalam merancang proses pembelajaran yang dapat menarik perhatian siswa.

Abstract

Hasil survei dan observasi terhadap guru-guru menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan bernalar kritis, terutama dalam materi suku dan budaya bangsa yang disebabkan oleh metode pengajaran yang monoton dan kurang variatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan edia Question Card materi suku dan budaya bangsa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan bernalar kritis siswa SD. Jenis penelitian ini Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan total sampling yang berjumlah 30 orang siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner validasi ahli, angket uji kepraktisan, serta pre-test dan post-test untuk uji keefektifan media. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa rancang bangun media Question Card yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Validasi isi media menunjukkan bahwa materi relevan dengan tujuan pembelajaran. Validasi media menunjukkan bahwa media tersebut dapat digunakan dengan efektif. Validasi desain menunjukkan bahwa desain media menarik dan sesuai dengan standar pembelajaran, validasi bahasa memudahkan siswa dalam memahami materi yang disajikan. Kepraktisan media dari guru dan siswa menunjukkan bahwa media ini mudah digunakan dalam pembelajaran.  Penggunaan media Question Card secara efektif meningkatkan kemampuan bernalar kritis siswa, dengan peningkatan dalam kategori sedang. Disimpulkan bahwa media Question Card pada materi suku dan budaya bangsa efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan bernalar kritis siswa SD.

Abstract

Anti-corruption education is a learning process and behavioral formation aimed at preventing corruption by developing anti-corruption behavior. The purpose of this study is to evaluate anti-corruption education integrated into the higher education curriculum at the Bali Institute of Technology and Health (ITEKES) through the CIPP approach and SWOT analysis. This research is a qualitative descriptive evaluative study that focuses on the policy analysis of the anti-corruption education program at the Bali Institute of Technology and Health. The research subjects included lecturers and students who had taken the anti-corruption education course. Data were collected through interviews and curriculum documentation studies.Furthermore, the data were evaluated using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model and analyzed strategically using the SWOT method to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to the implementation of the policy. The CIPP approach analysis found that anti-corruption education was in accordance with Permenristekdikti No. 33 of 2019, with the support of expertise and facilities. Its implementation was through classroom learning processes and external activities, supported by socialization and leadership policies. There was an increase in anti-corruption knowledge, attitudes, and skills of the academic community. The SWOT analysis identified strengths such as the legal basis and leadership support, weaknesses in consistency and monitoring, opportunities from certified human resources and external networks, and threats from high levels of corruption and bureaucratic resistance, emphasizing the importance of commitment and consistency for the program's success. Anti-corruption education has been implemented in accordance with regulations, utilizing existing resources and infrastructure to improve anti-corruption knowledge, attitudes, and skills among the academic community through academic and non-academic activities. However, the program's success depends heavily on consistency, monitoring, and commitment from all parties, particularly in addressing corruption and internal resistance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Menciptakan Media Video animasi cerita rakyat “Siap Selem” yang Valid, Praktis dan Efektif pada materi penerapan nilai- nilai Pancasila untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa Kelas II SD Negeri Bonyoh. Penelitian termasuk dalam jenis penelitian dengan metode Reserch and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4-D yaitu define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Metode Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuisioner/ angket dan metode tes. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yakni terdapat 2 ahli materi, 2 ahli media, 2 guru dan siswa siswi kelas II SD negeri Bonyoh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan karakteristik Media Video Animasi Cerita Rakyat “Siap Selem” siswa dapat menemukan sendiri dan langsung mengimplementasikan materi sehingga pembelajaraan menjadi bermakna dan berpusat pada siswa. Materi pembelajaran dikaitkan dengan kearifan lokal cerita rakyat “Siap Selem” yang dekat dengan kehidupan sehari- hari, agar Media Video Animasi Cerita Rakyat “Siap Selem” lebih menarik dan menciptakan pengalaman belajar secara langsung kepada siswa. Media Video Animasi Cerita Rakyat “Siap Selem” telah diujicobakan untuk mengetahui validitas materi, validitas media dan uji coba memiliki tujuan guna mendapatkan kelayakan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan dari Media Video Animasi Cerita Rakyat “Siap Selem”. Hasil ujicoba menujukan bahwa Media Video Animasi Cerita Rakyat “Siap Selem” tergolong valid dari segi isi. Untuk uji kelayakan materi diperoleh skor 99, 65% berkualifikasi sangat baik dan kelayakan media diperoleh skor 99, 5% tergolong sangat baik. Selanjutnya kepraktisan dari sisi guru diperoleh skor 4,70 tergolong sangat praktis, sedangkan kepraktisan dari sisi siswa diperoleh skor 4,80 tergolong sangat praktis. Akhirnya, dari segi efektivitas diperoleh persentase ketuntasan klasikal siswa sebesar 59, 64%. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa Media Video Animasi Cerita Rakyat “Siap Selem” ini cukup efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas II SD dalam materi Penerapan Nilai-Nilai Pancasila.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effect of technology utilization on increasing fourth-grade students' interest and motivation in learning social studies. The research method used was qualitative with a phenomenological approach, involving 22 students at elementary school 2 Tomohon. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and group discussions. The results showed that the use of technology, such as tablet devices and interactive educational applications, significantly increased students' interest and motivation. As many as 85% of students stated that technology made learning more interesting, while 78% felt more motivated to learn. In addition, student participation in discussions also increased, and they developed useful digital skills. However, challenges such as limited access and unstable internet connections need to be addressed. These findings suggest that integrating technology in social studies learning can create a more interactive and effective learning environment and provide recommendations for the development of better educational practices. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the use of technology in social studies learning makes a significant contribution to increasing students' interest and motivation to learn, where 85% of students stated that the use of technology makes social studies lessons more interesting, while 78% of students feel more motivated to learn when technology is used in learning activities.

Abstract

Social Studies learning in elementary schools still encounters the problem of low student achievement, caused by teacher-centered approaches that emphasize rote memorization. This condition limits students' active participation in the learning process and reduces their interest and critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ learning interest and learning outcomes in Social Studies. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a post-test only control group design. The subjects involved 50 fifth-grade students, divided into an experimental class and a control class, each consisting of 25 students, selected through cluster random sampling. Data were collected using objective tests, interest questionnaires, interview guidelines, and observation sheets. Data analysis was conducted using MANOVA. The results revealed that the average learning interest and outcomes of students in the experimental class were higher than those in the control class. The MANOVA test showed a Wilks' Lambda value of 0.458, F = 20.462, with a significance level of 0.000, indicating a significant simultaneous difference between the two groups. These findings suggest that implementing the PBL model is effective in enhancing students' interest and learning outcomes in Social Studies. The implication of this study recommends integrating problem-based learning models to create active, meaningful, and competence-oriented learning environments.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII Hatta di SMP Negeri 4 di Singaraja dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Problem Solving untuk Menginternalisasikan Nilai-Nilai Pancasila dalam PPKn. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Memanfaatkan observasi, wawancara dengan para ahli, tes, dan dokumentasi untuk melakukan pengumpulan data. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua siklus, yang masing-masing terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi atau evaluasi, dan refleksi. Siswa dan siswi SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja di Kelas VIII Hatta, yang berjumlah 17 siswa laki- laki dan 15 siswa perempuan, menjadi subjek penelitian. Hasil dari penerapan siklus I terhadap tingkat motivasi siswa adalah sekitar 118,6 dan mereka ditempatkan dalam kategori sedang. Dan hasil belajar siklus I diperoleh nilai 58,75 dengan kategori cukup. Mengingat hasil proporsional yang diperoleh pada siklus I, siklus II harus diselesaikan sebagai perbandingan dalam hal motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil untuk siklus II Peningkatan Motivasi Belajar memiliki hasil rata-rata 142,7 dengan kategori sangat baik. Pada hasil belajar siklus II, terdapat 81,25 nilai rata-rata dalam kategori baik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Problem Solving untuk Siswa Kelas VIII Hatta SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja, ada bukti peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar.
