Abstract

Abstract: This study examines in depth the integration process using the "Tolu Sahundulan" philosophy in the topic of triangular angles and analyzes its influence on students' creative thinking skills. Creative thinking ability is an essential competency that needs to be developed in mathematics learning to equip students with innovative problem-solving skills. Conventional methods are often inadequate in stimulating student creativity. Therefore, this study explores the potential of the Tolu Sahundulan method which is assumed to offer a more active and exploratory learning approach. This study uses a qualitative approach with students involved in learning triangular angles using the Tolu Sahundulan philosophy. Data were obtained through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and analysis of student work. The results of the analysis show that the integration of Tolu Sahundulan in learning triangular angles significantly encourages students to explore concepts more deeply, produce various solution strategies, and show improvements in thinking flexibility and originality of ideas. These findings confirm that Tolu Sahundulan can be an effective alternative learning method for improving students' creative thinking skills in mathematics. Implications of this research include recommendations for educators and curriculum developers to adopt student-centered and creativity-stimulating learning methods. Abstract

This study examines the preferences for effective leadership among prospective civil servants who participated in the 2025 Pre-Service Training (Latsar CPNS) at the Balai Diklat Keagamaan Denpasar. Strengthening leadership competence is essential for building a professional and adaptive state apparatus, particularly among Generation Z employees who are entering government institutions during the era of rapid digital transformation. The purpose of this research is to identify how participants perceive effective leadership across five key indicators: leadership character, leader attitudes, positive leadership behaviors, negative leadership tendencies, and leadership competencies relevant to Society 5.0. This study employs a mixed-method case study design using multiple-choice questions and open-ended responses. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively, while qualitative data were examined using the Miles and Huberman interactive model (data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing). The findings reveal that participants prefer leaders who are democratic, open, communicative, supportive, and technologically competent. Positive leadership practices are highly valued, while negative leadership behaviors such as intimidation and resistance to innovation are strongly rejected. The study concludes that effective leadership for Generation Z requires a combination of ethical character, participatory attitudes, digital competence, and the ability to empower subordinates. Recommendations emphasize the urgency of leadership development programs aligned with the demands of Society 5.0.

Abstract

This research addresses the cognitive crisis in primary science education caused by "digital reductionism," which frequently triggers disembodied learning. Excessive reliance on static screen simulations has led to a disconnect between a student’s cognitive processes and physical reality. This study aims to mitigate this gap through a re-materialization strategy, utilizing the frameworks of Material Engagement Theory (MET) and Embodied Cognition. The primary objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of haptic intervention implemented through a Cognitive Interactive Pop-Up Book integrated with an Inquiry Science Approach (ISA). A mixed-methods research design with an Exploratory Sequential approach was employed, involving 60 fifth-grade students. Quantitative data were analyzed using MANCOVA to assess the intervention's impact on dependent variables simultaneously. The results indicate a highly significant difference between the experimental and control groups. The experimental group’s post-test HOTS score reached 82.5, significantly outperforming the control group’s 65.0. Similarly, in Fluid Creativity, the experimental group achieved 78.4 compared to the control group’s 58.2 (p < .001). Specifically, the haptic group showed sharp increases in high-level cognitive indicators: Analysis (Gain 38.6) and Evaluation (Gain 36.4), with a substantial Effect Size of 0.42 (Partial Eta Squared). These findings empirically confirm that physical re-materialization serves as a "cognitive prosthetic," bridging the gap between abstract concepts and physical reality through sensorimotor feedback. This study concludes that activating the hands as "thinking senses" is crucial for developing embodied knowledge and adaptive creativity in primary education.

Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Curriculum emphasizes the development of 21st-century competencies known as the 4C skills: critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. These skills can be strengthened through co-curricular activities as a form of contextual learning outside of extracurricular activities. This study aims to describe the role of co-curricular activities in developing students' 4C skills during the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Banjar. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research subjects included students, co-curricular activity supervisors, and school officials. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that co-curricular activities were able to provide meaningful learning experiences that supported the development of students' critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills. Before the co-curricular activities were optimally implemented, students tended to be passive and lacked confidence in expressing their opinions. However, after the implementation of co-curricular activities based on direct experience, students' social and academic skills improved. Thus, co-curricular activities have a strategic role in supporting the successful implementation of the Independent Curriculum by strengthening students' 4C skills. Abstract

Gender inequality remains one of the most pressing challenges on the global development agenda. Although significant progress has been achieved through the MDGs and SDGs, the gap between men and women in economic access, political representation, and personal security remains very wide. This study aims to explore the sociological roots of gender inequality, its impact on the global economy, and how the currents of globalization and digitalization create both new opportunities and threats to gender justice. The method used in this study is a comprehensive analysis through an in-depth literature review of patriarchal structures, intersectionality theory, and the dynamics of gender issues in the 21st century. The analysis covers the mechanisms of perpetuating patriarchy through the institutions of family, education, and religion, as well as its manifestations in the capitalist economy and digital space. The results show that patriarchal hegemony remains a structure that is difficult to dismantle and is transforming into more complex forms in the digital era, such as technology-mediated gender-based violence. The gender wage gap and unpaid care work continue to hinder global economic potential, while women's representation in strategic decision-making remains far from targets. Intersectionality theory emphasizes that the discrimination experienced by women overlaps with issues of race, class, and colonialism, thus requiring non-monolithic solutions. This study concludes that gender transformation is not merely a moral issue but a prerequisite for the progress of civilization, demanding legal reform, inclusive education, and cross-national commitment to deconstruct oppressive hegemonic structures.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ social studies learning outcomes, reviewed from their geographic location. A quasi experimental posttest-only control group design was used. The population consisted of 190 fourth-grade students in the Ledokombo II cluster, and 110 students were selected through cluster random sampling. The sample was divided into two experimental and two control classes. Data were analyzed using two way ANOVA. The results show that: (1) PBL had a significantly higher impact on learning outcomes compared to conventional teaching (F = 22.284 > Ftable = 3.93), (2) there was a significant interactionbetween learning model and geographic location (F = 66.428 > Ftable = 3.97), (3) urban students achieved significantly better results in PBL classes than in conventional classes, and (4) rural students also showed significant differences, although lower than urban groups. These findings indicate that PBL is an effective learning model across contexts, yet geographic disparities influence the magnitude of its effectiveness

Abstract

In the 21st century, critical thinking is a crucial skill that must be developed through effective learning practices. Because it requires students to analyze, formulate, and solve contextual problems, the problem-based learning (PBL) model is considered to enhance their critical thinking skills. The effect of PBL implementation on students' critical thinking skills was examined in the study discussed in this article. Related keywords were used to conduct a search of indexed journal databases (SINTA 2 and Scopus) for the period from 2018 to 2025. A total of eight relevant primary articles were found and evaluated. The results indicate that the majority of studies indicate that PBL implementation improves critical thinking skills. The quality of the problems, the teacher's role as a facilitator, and the use of authentic assessments are key factors contributing to the success. Recommendations for practice and further research are provided.
