Abstract

This research aims (1) examine the implementation of restorative justice by the Buleleng District Prosecutor's Office in cases of receiving stolen goods (penadahan) committed through the Facebook Marketplace platform, with a primary focus on the application of restorative justice despite the loss value exceeding the threshold set by prevailing laws and regulations; and (2) identify the considerations used by the Buleleng District Prosecutor’s Office in applying restorative justice to cases of receiving stolen goods conducted via Facebook Marketplace. The research adopts an empirical juridical method with a descriptive approach. Participants were selected purposively using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques included direct observation, interviews with relevant parties, and a review of legal documents, which were then analyzed qualitatively. The findings indicate that (1) resolution through Restorative Justice remains possible even if the loss exceeds IDR 2,500,000, as long as all substantive requirements stipulated in Prosecutor's Regulation Number 15 of 2020 are fulfilled. The decision to terminate prosecution in this case was based on considerations of justice for the victim and the fact that the perpetrator’s level of culpability was not considered severe; and(2) the victim did not object to the act of receiving stolen goods and prioritized the return of their motorcycle, which was successfully recovered in its original condition. The victim also supported the peace process and did not file charges against the alleged receiver.

Abstract

This research explores the evolution of the primary school curriculum in Indonesia over time, with the aim of understanding how social changes, cultural and scientific developments affect curriculum design and implementation. From the beginning of independence, curricula tended to be rigid, focusing on content mastery and memorization. Over time, especially after reformasi, there has been a significant shift towards a more flexible and competency-oriented curriculum that emphasizes character development, 21st century skills and relevance to the local context. This research found that modern curricula, such as Curriculum 2013, integrate a holistic approach that links knowledge, skills and attitudes, creating more meaningful learning experiences for students. The findings show the importance of continuous curriculum evaluation and renewal to face global challenges and create inclusive and quality education in the future.

Abstract

Implementing a Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia has not been able to foster critical awareness among students and educators entirely. This research focuses on how integrating Paulo Freire's concept of conscientization in the Merdeka Curriculum can facilitate a more holistic and learner-centered approach to education. In this context, this study uses a literature review approach. The results showed that 1) The integration of critical awareness in the Merdeka Curriculum can be realized through problem-posing methods and dialogical methods emphasizing the importance of critical awareness and reflective action. 2) Applying this method can foster students' critical awareness in developing their knowledge more broadly, empowering students while respecting human values. 3) The involvement of all relevant parties in listening to and understanding the concerns of teachers and staff and active student involvement in the learning process can overcome teacher unpreparedness in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. In addition, digital platforms and online learning resources can effectively provide education focusing on student empowerment and social awareness. Comprehensive training programs for educators are crucial to overcoming the diversity of teacher competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the teaching method of physical education, sports, and health (PJOK) based on the traditional game of enjang-enjang. The background of this study departs from the need for a contextual, fun, and local wisdom-based learning approach in accordance with the demands of the Independent Curriculum. Traditional games are seen as having educational and character values that can enrich students' learning experiences. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and documentation. The results showed that the enjang-enjang-based teaching method was able to increase learning motivation, active involvement, and the formation of student character such as sportsmanship, responsibility, and cooperation. Teachers designed and implemented learning systematically by integrating local cultural values into the lesson plan (RPP). Supporting factors for the success of this method included school support, student enthusiasm, and teacher readiness. Meanwhile, obstacles faced included limited learning time, unpredictable weather, and students' unfamiliarity with the game rules. However, teachers were able to overcome these obstacles through adaptive strategies. These findings indicate that the integration of traditional games into physical education (PJOK) learning is not only curricularly relevant but also effective in shaping students' character, contextualization, and appreciation for local culture

Abstract

Low early reading skills among first-grade students are one of the fundamental problems in early literacy learning. The lack of engaging and interactive learning media causes students to be less motivated to develop basic reading skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of using mobile applications on improving students' early reading skills. This study is a quasi-experimental study with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects of this study were first-grade students, with a total of 40 students consisting of 20 students in the experimental class and 20 students in the control class, determined through purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using a preliminary reading skills test covering three indicators: letter recognition, word recognition, and reading words and sentences. The instrument used was a test sheet. Data analysis was conducted quantitatively using an Independent Sample T-test to compare pretest and posttest results between groups. The analysis results showed a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class, indicating that the use of mobile applications had a positive effect on early reading skills. The conclusion of this study is that mobile applications are effective as an alternative learning medium to improve students' early reading skills. The implications of this study suggest that the integration of technology in early reading learning can be an innovative solution in improving literacy quality in elementary schools.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the application of deep learning technology in the learning process at junior high schools (SMP) in Konawe Regency. Deep learning, as a branch of artificial intelligence (AI), has the potential to improve learning effectiveness through personalisation of teaching materials and comprehensive data analysis of student development. The research objects include four junior high schools in Konawe Regency, namely SMPN 1 Unaaha, SMPN 2 Unaaha, SMPN 1 Wonggeduku, and SMPN 2 Wonggeduku. The method used is a case study with a qualitative approach, which includes interviews with teachers and principals as well as direct observation of the implementation of deep learning in the learning process. The results show that although the implementation of deep learning technology is still on a limited scale, its impact on improving the quality of learning including increased student motivation, better understanding of the material, and more precise ability to analyse student development is quite significant. However, the implementation of this technology still faces a number of obstacles, especially related to infrastructure limitations and the need for continuous training for teachers. Therefore, this study recommends increasing infrastructure support and continuous training so that the potential of deep learning can be maximised in the context of secondary education.
