Abstract

ABSTRACT Every month, adolescent girls experience painful menstruation (dysmenorrhea), which is caused by high levels of the hormone prostaglandin. High levels of prostaglandin cause uterine contractions during menstruation, resulting in pain. The prevalence of dysmenorrhea reaches 90%, with some experiencing severe pain that interferes with daily activities. Therefore, alternative treatments are needed to address the pain of dysmenorrhea. One such treatment is red ginger, as it contains gingerols, shogaols, and flavonoids, which can help relieve dysmenorrhea. Proving the effectiveness of red ginger nanoparticles in reducing the intensity of primary dysmenorrhea pain. This type of research is a true experiment with a pre-test and post-test with a control group design. The population in this study were adolescent girls experiencing primary dysmenorrhea and mild anemia in the Midwifery Department of Poltekkes Semarang. This study was conducted on two groups: the intervention group was given red ginger nanoparticles at a dose of 500 mg 3x2 daily for 14 days; and the intervention group was given red ginger nanoparticles at a dose of 500 mg 3x2 daily for 14 days. The results of the study showed that red ginger nanoparticles were significantly able to reduce the intensity of dysmenorrhea pain, with the results of the Mann Whitnay test statistical test obtaining a p value of 0.000. Red ginger nanoparticles are effective in reducing the intensity of primary dysmenorrhea pain and can be a complementary approach in obstetric practice to reduce dysmenorrhea symptoms. Keywords: Adolescent Girls, Primary Dysmenorrhea, Red Ginger Nanoparticles.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan media video dalam pembelajaran materi ekosistem guna meningkatkan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar. Literasi sains merupakan kompetensi penting dalam pembelajaran abad ke-21 yang mencakup kemampuan memahami konsep ilmiah, berpikir kritis, serta menerapkan pengetahuan dalam kehidupan nyata. Namun, masih banyak siswa SD yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep ekosistem karena penyajian materi yang bersifat abstrak dan kurangnya media pembelajaran visual yang menarik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara guru, angket siswa, dan observasi proses pembelajaran. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa siswa dan guru sangat membutuhkan media video pembelajaran yang kontekstual, interaktif, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik perkembangan anak. Video dengan durasi 5–10 menit, berisi animasi dan ilustrasi nyata, serta menggunakan bahasa yang sederhana dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi ekosistem. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pengembangan media video berbasis kebutuhan dapat menjadi alternatif strategis untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa SD secara signifikan. This study aims to analyze the need for video media in learning ecosystem material to improve elementary school students' scientific literacy. Scientific literacy is an important competency in 21st-century learning that includes the ability to understand scientific concepts, think critically, and apply knowledge in real life. However, many elementary school students still have difficulty in understanding the concept of ecosystems due to the presentation of abstract material and the lack of attractive visual learning media. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through teacher interviews, student questionnaires, and observations of the learning process. The results of the study indicate that students and teachers really need contextual, interactive learning video media that are in accordance with the characteristics of child development. Videos with a duration of 5-10 minutes, containing real animations and illustrations, and using simple language are considered effective in increasing students' interest and understanding of ecosystem material. These findings indicate that the development of needs-based video media can be a strategic alternative to significantly improve elementary school students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

Literacy begins to be applied from the early childhood level to help children understand the world and express thoughts orally and in writing. Literacy is also applied in extracurricular activities, such as IMTAQ literacy which deals with the Qur'an and Arabic symbols, including Hijaiyah letters. However, early childhood often has difficulty in remembering and writing Hijaiyah letters because they are similar to each other. This difficulty is also influenced by the concentration factor, because early childhood is not yet able to focus fully on learning activities. This study aims to describe the difficulties faced by children at TK Negeri Pembina Pemulutan Barat and identify the causes of difficulties in reading and writing Hijaiyah letters. The method used is descriptive qualitative through interviews and observations. The results showed that 25% of children experienced difficulties, due to the low intensity of habituation, traditional teaching methods, and less attractive learning media. For this reason, innovative approaches, methods and media are needed so that the ability to remember and write Hijaiyah letters in early childhood can be improved.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for developing e-comic learning media based on field trips to introduce reading and writing literacy to early childhood (AUD) through historical tourism exploration in Palembang. The background of this study is based on the low interest and ability of early literacy children and the still dominant use of conventional learning media in PAUD institutions. The study used a quantitative descriptive approach with a needs analysis design. The research subjects included teachers and students at TK Bina Putra 2 and TK Islam Adventure. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that literacy learning is still dominated by print media and conventional methods that are less interesting for children. Meanwhile, the results of the student needs analysis showed a very high level of need for visual, interactive, story-based, and audio-visual learning media with an average percentage reaching 84.5%. Teachers also expressed the need for digital learning media that is innovative, easy to use, and able to integrate the local cultural context. These findings confirm that the development of e-comic media for field trips based on local historical tourism is highly relevant and needed. Thus, this research provides an empirical basis for the development of contextual, interactive, and local culture-based learning media to improve early childhood reading and writing literacy more effectively and meaningfully.

Abstract

Bullying among adolescents does not always appear as overt physical aggression. In boarding school settings, it often operates through teasing, labeling, gossip, and subtle forms of exclusion that are frequently normalized as ordinary peer interaction. This article examines how resilience against bullying is formed in two Indonesian boarding schools, SMP Bumi Cendikia Yogyakarta and SMP Muhammadiyah Padang Panjang Boarding School. Using a qualitative case study design, the study draws on observations, interviews, and documentation collected over a 7-month period. The findings show that bullying in these settings is predominantly social-verbal and often emerges through joking practices, repeated nicknames, and gossip that gradually produce shame, withdrawal, and social insecurity. The study also finds that resilience is not primarily an individual trait. Rather, it is built through layered support involving family guidance, emotional accompaniment by dorm supervisors and counseling staff, formal reporting channels, and active facilitation of victims’ re-entry into peer relations. The article argues that resilience in boarding schools is relationally and institutionally scaffolded. Recovery depends not only on stopping harmful behavior but also on restoring students’ sense of belonging, safety, and everyday participation in school life.

Abstract

In religious education, evaluation only focuses on answering questions, and once again, it only focuses on the cognitive domain. Fink’s taxonomy was chosen because it integrates cognitive, affective, metacognitive aspects (learning how to learn), social dimensions, and caring in a balanced way to produce a meaningful, applicable PAI learning experience, and is able to measure not only knowledge, but also students’ caring, interaction, and reflection. The purpose of this research and article writing is to explore the development patterns of Fink’s taxonomy specifically in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. This research uses the literature study method, with data sources being secondary data in the form of research results such as books, journals, articles, websites, and, other relevant materials. The data analysis technique in this research uses content analysis. The research results show that in PAI learning, Fink’s taxonomy is an innovative and highly relevant approach. This approach not only emphasizes mastery of the material cognitively but also integrates affective and metacognitive aspects so that students can learn more actively and meaningfully. This taxonomy refers to six aspects of learning, namely foundational knowledge, application, integration, human dimension, caring, learning how to learn, along with examples of its implementation in PAI learning. The limitation of this research is the still general focus on applying Fink’s taxonomy in PAI learning, resulting in general findings as well. Recommendations for future research include refining the study by referring to specific schools in various regions to obtain a more comprehensive picture of the effectiveness of implementing Fink’s taxonomy in PAI learning.
