Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya hidup hedonisme terhadap perilaku konsumtif di kalangan mahasiswa. Globalisasi dan digitalisasi telah memudahkan mahasiswa dalam mengakses informasi dan mengikuti tren terbaru, tetapi juga memicu gaya hidup hedonis yang berfokus pada pencarian kesenangan pribadi, seringkali melalui konsumsi barang-barang mewah dan tren terkini. Salah satu faktor pendorongnya adalah fenomena FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) yang memperkuat tekanan sosial melalui media sosial. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, dengan subjek mahasiswa S1 Teknologi Pendidikan Universitas Sebelas Maret. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 100 responden yang mengisi kuesioner online. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya hidup hedonisme memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku konsumtif, dengan kontribusi pengaruh sebesar 24,8%. Kesimpulannya, semakin tinggi gaya hidup hedonisme pada mahasiswa, semakin tinggi pula kecenderungan untuk berperilaku konsumtif.

Abstract

Vitamin A Deficiency (VAD) is associated with significant morbidity and mortality from common childhood infections and is the world’s leading preventable cause of childhood blindness. Studies showed that carotenoid is one of the promissed vitamin A source. However the studies  on  carotenoid from yellow  banana peel and its potential as a natural source of vitamin A has not been widely reported. This study was conducted to measure the blood serum retinol levels of rats after administration of β-carotene from yellow ambon banana peel. This was an experimental study with post test only control group design, with sample size of 18 rats with age 1 month, devided into 3 groups. β-carotene dose administered based on the dose of red capsules vitamin A are (200,000 doses SI) for toddlers aged 12-59 months. Serum retinol levels were measured using a spectrophotometer according metide. This present study showed that the blood serum  level in group treated with  of β - carotene from yellow ambon banana peel (28.35 ± 1.61 mg/ dL ), was significantly different (p < 0.05) from that of   control group ( 22.08 ± 1.35 mg /dL ). β-carotene from yellow ambon banana peel are potential as provitamin A.

Abstract

Children with multiple disabilities have more than two kinds of restrictions that make it hard for them to control themselves and communicate in their surroundings. The objective of this study is to determine how children with multiple disabilities interact with their classmates in school. Descriptive qualitative research with a purpose sampling technique for data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation is used. The researcher himself is the research instrument. Students from SLB Negeri 1 Surakarta were the subjects of the research, with sources from teachers, principals, and deputy school coconuts. Data were tested for validity using triangulation flow of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study showed that there were 2 children with multiple disabilities out of 244 students. 1) blind and emotional and behavioral disorder 2) deaf and mental reterdation. The way of communicating with children with multiple disabilities will adjust to their classification, therefore they often behave differently than they should, due to physical and motor developmental barriers Keywords: Education, Children with Multiple Disabilities, Social Interaction

Abstract

The problem that is often found in the field is that poorly trained students thinking critically because learning is still teacher-centered. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using inquiry-based handouts on students critical thinking abilities. The design of this study was experimental design with pretest and posttest group control design methods. It was by looking at the students ability to answer the pretest and posttest question sheets that contain critical thinking indicators such as analyzing, synthesizing, connecting, concluding, evaluating, and creating. The results of this study show that the students critical thinking skills for the group given the handout showed that they met good criteria, that is the average score above 75. Meanwhile, students critical thinking skills in the class or group of students who were not given handouts were still not more than 50. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the handouts used can help students in training critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Computer Visual Syndrome (CVS) refers to visual disturbances induced by electronic media such as computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. This research aimed to determine the association between screen time, vitamin A consumption behavior, and CVS symptoms among preclinical medical students. Ninety-five students from a single class at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Islam Sultan Agung, Indonesia, participated in this cross-sectional study. Data were collected using an online survey platform in February 2022. The screen time, vitamin A consumption behavior, and CVS were measured using a validated questionnaire. The average daily screen time of the respondents was more than 10 h, with the majority having a moderate vitamin A consumption patterns (66.3%) and experienced CVS (63.2%). The most prevalent CVS symptom identified among these respondents was eye fatigue (62.1%), while double vision and inflamed or watery eyes were the least reported CVS symptoms (9.5% and 8.4%, respectively). The Chi-Square test revealed that there was no correlation between screen time and CVS (p > 0.05), but there was a significant correlation between vitamin A consumption and CVS (p < 0.05). In conclusion, CVS is observed among preclinical medical students due to increased screen time and decreased vitamin A consumption. Therefore, there is a need to develop strategies to manage screen time and vitamin A consumption among students at risk for developing a CVS during their academic careers.

Abstract

Reintegration is an integral part of the study of repatriation. Each repatriate or group has unique and challenging reintegration experiences. This article aims to analyse the social and economic reintegration processes of Surinamese repatriates in Tongar (1954–1959). By employing the historical research method, which involves four stages—heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography—it reveals that, despite thorough planning, Surinamese repatriates in Tongar encounter difficulties in their economic and social reintegration. Economic challenges, such as limited capital and external factors, impede the initial reintegration process. They addressed these challenges by utilising available resources effectively and pursuing government loans. Simultaneously, language barriers and poor communication infrastructure create significant challenges for social reintegration. Most Surinamese repatriates, especially those children who were born and raised in Suriname, still lack proficiency in Indonesian. Through their daily interactions, the language barrier slowly lessened as they learned Indonesian and Minang. However, insufficient irrigation and a lack of medical personnel in Tongar continued to prevail, along with the rise of the Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Indonesia (Pemerintahan Revolusioner Republik Indonesia, PRRI) movement in West Sumatra, further complicating the reintegration process.

Abstract

Penyakit jantung koroner (PJK) yangs sering ditandai dengan nyeri dada secara tiba-tiba. Faktor risiko diantaranyaa dalah kebiasaan merokok, hipertensi, diabetes mellitus (DM) dan pola makan mengandung banyak lemak, dan stres. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi bagi warga RW 07, Kelurahan Sembungharjo, Kota Semarang tentang pencegahan PJK. Metode pelaksanaan PkM terdiri dari senam hipertensi, penyuluhan tentang PJK, pemeriksaan tekanan darah dan pengukuran kadar kolesterol Kegiatan PkM dengan judul Cegah Penyakit Jantung Koroner (PJK) dengan ”CERDIK” dan ”PATUH” bermanfaat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat untuk pencegahan PJK melalui Cek kesehatan secara teratur, Enyahkan asap rokok, Rajin berolahraga, Diet yang seimbang, Istirahat yang cukup, dan Kelola stress dengan baik (CERDIK); serta Periksa kesehatan secara rutin dan ikuti anjuran dokter, Atasi penyakit dengan pengobatan yang tepat dan teratur, Tetap diet dengan gizi seimbang, Upayakan aktivitas fisik dengan aman, dan Hindari asap rokok, alkohol dan zat karsinogenik (PATUH). Coronary heart disease (CHD) is often marked by sudden chest pain. Risk factors include smoking habits, hypertension, diabetes mellitus (DM), high-fat dietary patterns, and stress. This community service program (PkM) aims to educate the residents of RW 07, Sembungharjo Village, Semarang City, about CHD prevention. The PkM activities comprise hypertension exercise sessions, educational sessions on CHD, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol level assessment. The PkM program titled "Prevent Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) with 'CERDIK' and 'PATUH'" is valuable in enhancing community knowledge and awareness regarding CHD prevention through the following strategies: Regular health checks, Avoiding smoke from cigarettes, Engaging in consistent physical activity, Maintaining a balanced diet, Getting sufficient rest, and Managing stress effectively (CERDIK); along with Regular health check-ups and adhering to medical advice, Treating illnesses with appropriate and consistent medication, Maintaining a nourishing and balanced diet, Ensuring safe physical activity, and Avoiding cigarette smoke, alcohol, and carcinogenic substances (PATUH).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepatuhan pengobatan pada penderita hipertensi melalui metode analitik observasional dengan pendekatan one group pre and post-test design. Sebanyak 23 orang penderita hipertensi di RW 11 Kelurahan Bangetayu Kulon, Kecamatan Genuk, Kota Semarang, berpartisipasi dalam intervensi edukasi dan pelatihan yang bertemakan “SEMAR MESEM: Semarak Anti Hipertensi Supoyo Urip Ayem.” Intervensi ini meliputi edukasi menggunakan media film pendek, kuis mitos-fakta, dan diskusi interaktif. Pretest dan posttest dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner berjumlah 22 pertanyaan yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa data tidak berdistribusi normal dan tidak homogen, sehingga uji Wilcoxon (non parametrik) digunakan untuk menganalisis hasil. Hasilnya menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan (p < 0,05) pada tingkat pengetahuan peserta tentang hipertensi setelah intervensi. Edukasi yang diberikan menyentuh aspek definisi, faktor risiko, dan komplikasi hipertensi, serta pentingnya kepatuhan dalam pengobatan. Edukasi menggunakan media film pendek, kuis mitos-fakta, dan diskusi interaktif terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta mengenai hipertensi, mencakup definisi, faktor risiko, komplikasi, serta pentingnya kepatuhan terhadap pengobatan.This study aims to improve medication adherence among individuals with hypertension through an observational analytical method utilizing a one-group pre-and post-test design. A total of 23 hypertensive patients from RW 11 Bangetayu Kulon Village, Genuk District, Semarang City, participated in educational and training interventions themed “SEMAR MESEM: Vibrant Anti-Hypertension Supoyo Urip Ayem.” The intervention included education delivered through short films, myth-fact quizzes, and interactive discussions. Pretest and posttest assessments were conducted using a 22-item questionnaire that was validated for reliability. The analysis revealed that the data were not normally distributed and not homogeneous, necessitating the use of the Wilcoxon test (non-parametric) for analysis. The results indicated a significant increase (p < 0.05) in participants' knowledge about hypertension following the intervention. The education provided covered key aspects such as the definition, risk factors, and complications of hypertension, as well as the importance of treatment adherence. Education combining short films, myth-fact quizzes, and interactive discussions effectively increased participants' knowledge of hypertension, covering definition, risk factors, complications, and treatment adherence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kegiatan pembelajaran daring atau E-Learning dalam menghadapi tantangan pembelajaran di era digital. Dalam konteks ini, E-Learning tidak hanya menawarkan fleksibilitas, tetapi juga menghadirkan tantangan, terutama terkait dengan kecemasan akademik mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan E-Learning terhadap tingkat kecemasan mahasiswa, khususnya di kalangan mahasiswa Teknologi Pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional, dengan melibatkan sampel mahasiswa dari berbagai tingkat literasi teknologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan E-Learning secara signifikan mempengaruhi kecemasan mahasiswa. Mahasiswa dengan tingkat literasi teknologi yang rendah atau keterbatasan akses terhadap perangkat digital cenderung mengalami kecemasan yang lebih tinggi. Sebaliknya, mahasiswa yang memiliki keterampilan teknologi yang baik dan akses yang memadai menunjukkan tingkat kecemasan yang lebih rendah. Temuan ini menyoroti pentingnya pengembangan literasi teknologi untuk mendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran daring.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkannya metode pembelajaran imajinatif pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Trikarya. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada salah satu permasalahan yaitu kurangnya pemahaman siswa SD Negeri 1 Trikarya terhadap metode imajinatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) sebanyak 3 siklus. Setiap putaran terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu: rancangan, kegiatan dan pengamatan, refleksi, dan refisi. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V. Data yang diperoleh berupa hasil tes formatif, lembar observasi kegiatan belajar mengajar. Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan bahwa Hasil Belajar belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dari yaitu Siklus I (50,00%) atau ada 11 siswa dengan nilai tertinggi 80 dan nilai terendah 50. Pada siklus II (72,73%) atau ada 16 siswa yang telah tuntas dengan nilai tertinggi 87 dan nilai terendah 55, dan pada siklus III (90,91%) atau ada 20 siswa yang telah tuntas dengan nilai tertinggi 90 dan nilai terendah 60. Rata-rata nilai kelas diperoleh siklus I 65,73, siklus II 72,73 dan siklus III 74,41. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan metode imajinatif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Trikarya.
