Abstract

The cangkuang temple site is a form of cultural heritage tourism whose existence should be preserved because it has essential value for history, knowledge, education, religion, and culture. This study aims to review the potential from the perspective of entrepreneurial sources. This study is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population in this study were entrepreneurs around the cangkuang temple. Sampling by incidental sampling for visitors and people who do activities around the cangkuang temple, and purposive sampling for managers. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study can provide cangkuang temple shows that the richness of cultural values ​​​​owned by the site can be used as a source of inspiration in developing creative and educational products. Therefore, it can be concluded that the development of tourist destinations that can increase entrepreneurship in rural areas by using local cultural assets can encourage economic growth through job creation and increasing community income.

Abstract

Lack of student interest in literature is due to the low literacy of students. Therefore, one of the ways to improve the students’ literacy and ecological awareness is through children's literature . Hence, Ecoliteration-based children's literature books are considered to be used as learning support books, media as well as sources of learning Bahasa for elementary schools .This study aimed to determine the design of eco-literation-based children's literature models for elementary school students.. This study adopted a development research wich Educational Design Research (EDR) was applied. This study involved lecturers, practitioners/ experts, and elementary school, teachers. The developed book contained some materials namely Bahasa, Science, and Social Sciences for four grade students by proposing a theme of " Peduli Terhadap makhluk Hidup (Caring for Sentient Beings)", added with Basic Competence from 2013 curriculum of Environmental Education lesson (PLH) and eco-literation competencies (Head, Heart, Hands, and Spirit). This study has 3 major findings: (1) the researchers successfully created a eco-literation-based children’s literature model book for elementary school pupils entitled “The Mystery of the Disappearance of A Friend” and “The Mystery of the Butterfly” (2) This study found the suitable characteristics of eco-literation book for Elementary School Students, (3) There are positive response towards these kinds of literature from the experts and the teachers.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of local history content of the Cirebon Sultanate in history textbooks used at the high school level. This research aims to: (1) identify Cirebon local history teaching materials that can be integrated into high school history learning in Cirebon City; (2) formulate an initial design for Cirebon local history teaching materials; (3) develop Cirebon local history teaching materials; and (4) implement these teaching materials to increase students' historical awareness and local wisdom. This research uses the 10-step research and development method of the Borg and Gall model. The effectiveness test was conducted through a quasi-experimental method by comparing the experimental class and the control class. The results of the study indicate that the integration of local history material of the Cirebon Sultanate in high school history learning is important. The developed teaching materials have been shown to have a positive effect on increasing students' historical awareness and local wisdom in the experimental class compared to the control class. This study concludes that the Cirebon Sultanate local history teaching materials are effective for use as Cirebon local history teaching materials in high school.

Abstract

There remains a stigma that history learning is perceived as boring and merely recounts dates, figures, and places of historical events. Students’ low interest in history subjects is reflected in their limited participation, such as lack of motivation to study history, weak reading skills, and minimal engagement in asking or answering questions posed by teachers during classroom lessons. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine history learning at the senior high school level. The objectives are to explore students’ perceptions and interest in history, to describe family-based local history learning as an engaging and meaningful alternative, and to explain its benefits for students. The research method employed is a literature review, with sources collected from ebooks and articles. The findings indicate that family-based local history learning can serve as an engaging and meaningful alternative to traditional history instruction. The conclusion emphasizes that meaningful and engaging history learning begins with creative teachers who are able to design and implement lessons that allow students to truly experience the benefits of studying history.

Abstract

Pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kreatif calon guru dalam mengembangkan pedagogi pembelajaran kreatif sangat penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan desain pedagogi kreatif berbasis teknologi digital dalam mata kuliah pembelajaran IPS SD untuk menstimulasikan kebiasaan berpikir kreatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan desain ADDIE. Artikel ini merupakan bagian penelitian ADDIE pada tahap analysis, design, dan develop. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kerangka kerja konseptual desain pedagogi kreatif berbasis teknologi digital meliputi: (1) landasan filosofis, (2) definisi operasional, (3) unsur, (4) karakteristik, (5) kebiasaan berpikir kreatif, (6) langkah penggunaan dan (7) roda pedagogi kreatif berbasis teknologi digital. Desain ini memperkenalkan ‘Roda Pedagogi Kreatif berbasis Teknologi Digital’ sebagai komponen utama kerangka kerja operasional pedagogi kreatif berbasis teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran IPS SD. Desain disajikan dalam model nested yang berporos pada pengembangan kebiasaan berpikir kreatif. Pengembangan desain pedagogi kreatif berbasis teknologi digital ini diharapkan memberikan panduan bagi calon guru, guru dan dosen yang ingin memahami dan menggunakan pedagogi kreatif berbasis teknologi digital dalam upaya pengembangan kreativitas pada praktik pendidikan.

Abstract

Fokus penelitian ini adalah menganalisis bagaimana unsur-unsur musikal membentuk identitas artistik serta mendukung narasi cerita anime. Permasalahan utama yang dikaji adalah bagaimana organisasi unsur musikal, seperti ritme, melodi, harmoni, dinamika, timbre, dan artikulasi sehingga identitas dalam anime Attack on Titan Season 2. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik analisis konten. Data diperoleh melalui studi kajian, transkripsi  dan analisis partitur, serta pengamatan pada cuplikan visual opening anime. Data dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi, penyajian, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur musikal dalam lagu "Shinzou wo Sasageyo" memiliki karakter epik yang ditandai dengan penggunaan ritme sinkopasi, modulasi, serta perpaduan instrumen orkestra, band, dan paduan suara. Unsur-unsur tersebut menciptakan nuansa heroik dan dramatis yang selaras dengan atmosfer cerita yang merefleksikan tema besar anime Attack on Titan pada musim kedua. Struktur musikal membentuk identitas yang kuat, menjadikan lagu "Shinzou wo Sasageyo" bukan hanya sebagai musik pembuka, tetapi juga sebagai representasi ideologis dan emosional dari keseluruhan cerita.

Abstract

This study aims to examine efforts to foster ecological awareness among citizens through an ecopedagogical approach integrated with local community wisdom. The Bekarang tradition in South Sumatra is highlighted as an example of cultural practice that functions as a form of civic education beyond the boundaries of formal schooling. This tradition embodies values of environmental preservation, thereby contributing to the internalization of citizens’ rights and responsibilities, particularly concerning the natural environment. The research employs a qualitative approach with a conceptual paper design supported by a literature review. The literature serves as a basis for exploring, examining, and synthesizing key concepts. The findings indicate that ecopedagogy, when internalized through local traditions, can serve as an effective medium for transmitting ecological values to society. Environmental education grounded in local cultural values not only strengthens ecological identity but also encourages active citizen participation in environmental protection. This research underscores the importance of synergy between education, local wisdom, and policy in shaping environmentally conscious citizens who are actively involved in sustainability efforts.

Abstract

Extracurricular history activities become a forum for students to deepen their understanding and awareness of history. The general problem studied in this research is how the implementation process of extracurricular history activities at SMAN 22 Bandung to the form of historical awareness of its student members carried out by coaches and mentors. In general, this research aims to describe the form of implementation of various extracurricular history activities named Komunitas Pecinta Sejarah (KOMPAS). The subjects in this research are the coaches and students who are members of the extracurricular history. This research was studied by applying the naturalistic inquiry method with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, documentation studies and literature studies. The data analysis technique carried out consists of three stages, namely data reduction, data display, and verification. Based on the results of the study, the History Lovers Community has a variety of educational-recreative activities carried out every week as a complement to existing intracurricular activities. The skills that are successfully developed are historical thinking and public speaking so that students are able to reconstruct historical events based on their imagination well. Strong historical thinking can increase historical awareness based on the close intertwining of students' historical emotional and intellectual elements.

Abstract

This article examines thematic and integrated approaches in Social Studies Education through ontological, epistemological, and axiological perspectives. It arises from the limited availability of studies that explore these approaches from historical and developmental perspectives. The purpose of this literature research is to describe the early evolution of thematic and integrated approaches and to explain how educational practices have changed over time. Using the library research method by Both and Williams (2016), the study follows ten stages of data collection, analysis, and reduction based on relevant references. Through the Publish or Perish application, 30 relevant articles were identified using the keywords "pendekatan tematik dan terpadu." The findings reveal that interdisciplinary contexts provide a crucial perspective in Social Studies, emphasizing integration among disciplines as a core principle. These approaches gained prominence in the 20th century, influenced by Bruner's constructivism (1960) and Krathwohl's revision of Bloom's Taxonomy (2002). Models developed by Fogarty (1991) and Jacobs & Borland (1986) demonstrate their practical application, with Indonesian curricula applying integrated, correlated, and separated models across different education levels

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to explore how women social activists in Sukabumi, Indonesia, understand and address gender inequality through child protection programs, and to examine how their experiences can inform the development of gender-sensitive Social Studies education. The research seeks to bridge grassroots gender activism with formal educational practice by identifying practical strategies for enhancing critical gender consciousness in Social Studies curriculum. Method: Employing a qualitative approach, the study conducted semi-structured interviews with ten women social activists actively involved in child protection initiatives in Sukabumi. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns and insights regarding gender awareness, community engagement, and educational implications. The conceptual framework integrates perspectives from feminist pedagogy, critical social studies education, and community-based knowledge production. Results: Findings reveal that activists perceive gender inequality as manifested through economic disparities, limited political participation, and entrenched cultural stereotypes. Child protection programs serve as effective platforms for raising gender awareness through community dialogues, advocacy campaigns, and participatory workshops. Key lessons include the importance of contextual understanding, intersectional approaches, and connecting gender issues to broader themes of social justice and citizenship. Novelty: This study contributes original empirical insights from grassroots women activists whose perspectives are often underrepresented in educational research. It offers a practical model for integrating community-based gender knowledge into formal Social Studies education, particularly in the Indonesian context. The research demonstrates how activist experiences can enrich pedagogical approaches and foster critical gender consciousness among students.
