Abstract

The rapid digital transformation in English Language Education (ELE) has made teacher readiness a critical determinant of successful technology integration. This study aims to investigate the roles of institutional support, self-efficacy, and technological competence in shaping teachers’ readiness across two distinct educational landscapes: Australia and Indonesia. Adopting a quantitative research design, data were collected from 125 English language teachers and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that institutional support, self-efficacy, and technological competence all exert a positive and significant influence on teacher readiness, collectively explaining 65.8% of the model’s variance (R2=0.658). Among the predictors, self-efficacy emerged as the most dominant driver (β=0.428), highlighting the primacy of internal psychological confidence in adopting digital tools. These results underscore that technology integration is a complex socio-technical process requiring a synergistic approach that balances environmental resources with individual psychological resilience. This study contributes to the field of educational technology by providing a robust cross-cultural model, suggesting that professional development must prioritize building digital agency and supportive ecosystems over mere infrastructure procurement to ensure sustainable digital transitions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya menjaga lingkungan dan memiliki sikap kepedulian terhadap lingkungan alam yang rusak serta makhluk hidup lain yang terancam kehidupannya akibat dari aktivitas manusia. Perilaku kepedulian peserta didik terhadap lingkungan di kelas IX-B tergolong dalam kategori rendah, hal tersebut dilihat dari permasalahan yang ditemukan yaitu banyaknya sampah disekitar kelas baik itu di dalam ruangan maupun di luar kelas. Oleh karena itu peserta didik perlu meningkatkan kecerdasan ekologis terutama pada aspek pengetahuan, keterampilan dan partisipasi peserta didik terhadap lingkungan. Pembuatan konten kreatif mengenai kearifan ekologis masyarakat kampung adat Ciptarasa merupakan salah satu upaya untuk membangun kecerdasan ekologis peserta didik. Kajian utama penelitian ini adalah identifikasi nilai-nilai kearifan ekologis masyarakat kampung adat Ciptarasa, hasil identifikasi dibuatkan konten berupa video yang di upload ke media sosial youtube sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 1 Pabuaran kelas IX-B. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa masyarakat kampung adat Ciptarasa memiliki kearifan ekologis yang dapat dijadikan konten kreatif youtube sebagai media belajar IPS meliputi nilai pelestarian hutan, nilai pelestarian sungai, mitigasi bencana, dan pola konsumsi ramah lingkungan. Implementasi penggunaan konten kreatif youtube tentang kearifan ekologis masyarakat kampung adat Ciptarasa dalam pembelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 1 Pabuaran menunjukkan hasil yang bagus. Peserta didik memiliki rasa peduli terhadap lingkungan dan alam dan berempati terhadap mahluk hidup dan alam. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan supaya dijadikan rujukan bagi pengembangan pembelajaran IPS yang menggunakan konten kreatif youtube berbasis budaya diberbagai sekolah.

Abstract

The digital era has significantly transformed social structures, cultural dynamics, and human interactions, presenting novel challenges in the realms of ethics and citizenship. The rapid advancement of digital technology has introduced complex ethical dilemmas, necessitating reflection and adaptation of national values and moral principles. This study explores the philosophical underpinnings of Pancasila as a moral foundation for cultivating good digital citizenship, emphasizing the principles of responsibility, constructive freedom of expression, and active, ethical participation within digital communities. Employing an integrative review methodology, this research examines theoretical perspectives on digital ethics and Pancasila, as well as the assimilation of its core values, drawing from interdisciplinary social science literature. By integrating the philosophical values of Pancasila, digital ethics can be developed to address challenges such as hate speech, hoaxes, and misinformation, thereby creating a healthier and more sustainable digital ecosystem. This study also emphasizes the relevance of Pancasila in shaping responsible digital citizens and strengthening social cohesion in the face of technological advancements.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi integrasi nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Gusjigang ke dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan social entrepreneurship pada peserta didik di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama (SMP). Gusjigang, yang berasal dari budaya kearifan lokal masyarakat Kudus, mencakup tiga nilai utama: Bagus (akhlak), Ngaji (pembelajaran), dan Dagang (kewirausahaan). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mix method concurrent embedded design dengan metode utama studi kasus kualitatif dan survei (angket) kuantitatif sebagai metode pendukung. Data kualitatif dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi terhadap tokoh budaya dan guru IPS, sementara data kuantitatif diperoleh dari angket (survei) yang disebar ke 28 peserta didik menggunakan angket skala Likert. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai Gusjigang berkontribusi positif terhadap pembentukan karakter moral, berpikir kritis, kreativitas, dan keterampilan kewirausahaan sosial (social entrepreneurship) peserta didik. Integrasi ini membentuk model pembelajaran kontekstual yang mampu melokalkan nilai-nilai global dalam pendidikan IPS secara bermakna sesuai budaya kearifan lokal. Temuan ini relevan bagi pengembangan kurikulum, pelatihan guru, dan kebijakan pendidikan yang mendorong integrasi nilai-nilai lokal dalam sistem pendidikan formal.

Abstract

Perkembangan industri musik digital menuntut pendidikan musik untuk beradaptasi, khususnya dalam aspek teknologi seperti sound design untuk live performance. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang model kurikulum sound designyang relevan dengan kebutuhan industri di Program Studi Musik, Fakultas Pendidikan Seni dan Desain, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum yang ada masih dominan berfokus pada teori musik dan instrumen tradisional, sementara pembelajaran terkait teknologi musik modern belum diakomodasi secara optimal. Hambatan utama yang ditemukan meliputi keterbatasan fasilitas laboratorium yang mendukung praktik sound design, kurangnya alokasi waktu dalam struktur mata kuliah, serta minimnya pendekatan berbasis praktik dalam pembelajaran. Mahasiswa menyatakan kebutuhan akan pembelajaran yang lebih aplikatif dan berorientasi industri, termasuk penguasaan perangkat lunak digital audio dan perangkat keras yang umum digunakan dalam pertunjukan musik modern. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penelitian merekomendasikan pengembangan kurikulum berbasis praktik, peningkatan fasilitas laboratorium, serta integrasi sound design sebagai bagian dari kompetensi inti dalam pendidikan musik. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pembaruan kurikulum musik yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi dan mampu membekali mahasiswa dengan keterampilan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri musik digital masa kini.

Abstract

Fokus penelitian ini adalah menganalisis bagaimana unsur-unsur musikal membentuk identitas artistik serta mendukung narasi cerita anime. Permasalahan utama yang dikaji adalah bagaimana organisasi unsur musikal, seperti ritme, melodi, harmoni, dinamika, timbre, dan artikulasi sehingga identitas dalam anime Attack on Titan Season 2. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik analisis konten. Data diperoleh melalui studi kajian, transkripsi  dan analisis partitur, serta pengamatan pada cuplikan visual opening anime. Data dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi, penyajian, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur musikal dalam lagu "Shinzou wo Sasageyo" memiliki karakter epik yang ditandai dengan penggunaan ritme sinkopasi, modulasi, serta perpaduan instrumen orkestra, band, dan paduan suara. Unsur-unsur tersebut menciptakan nuansa heroik dan dramatis yang selaras dengan atmosfer cerita yang merefleksikan tema besar anime Attack on Titan pada musim kedua. Struktur musikal membentuk identitas yang kuat, menjadikan lagu "Shinzou wo Sasageyo" bukan hanya sebagai musik pembuka, tetapi juga sebagai representasi ideologis dan emosional dari keseluruhan cerita.

Abstract

This study was motivated by an extraordinary event, namely the large number of students who experienced food poisoning after consuming snacks sold in the school environment. One of the causes of this event was the low level of students' understanding of green behavior in maintaining health, which was applied in their snacking behavior in the school environment. Students prefer to buy snacks they like rather than considering the healthiness of the snacks. This can impact future sustainability (sustainable development). This study aims to determine the extent of students' green behavior as seen in their snacking behavior. This study is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study is triangulation. Through triangulation, conclusions can be drawn regarding the attitude toward green behavior in choosing healthy snacks based on students' snacking behavior. The results of this study indicate that most students do not yet exhibit green behavior. This can be seen from the fact that students prefer to choose snacks based on their preferences and food trends rather than health or nutritional aspects. Students also have a low understanding of healthy snacks and are becoming more consumptive.

Abstract

This study develops and validates a contextually grounded Integrative Learning model that effectively bridges global multicultural education frameworks with Indonesian local wisdom to enhance cultural sensitivity among junior high school students. in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The research addresses the gap between multicultural education theory and practical implementation in diverse cultural contexts. Using Research and Development (R&D) methodology, this study encompasses three phases: preliminary study, development, and testing. Data were collected through observations, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires involving teachers and students from six schools in West Lombok. The preliminary findings indicate that current social studies instruction lacks integration of local cultural values and multicultural perspectives. The developed model incorporates Sasak local wisdom and employs Fogarty's curriculum integration framework, utilizing multiple integration patterns including connected, nested, sequenced, shared, and webbed approaches. Validation by experts and field testing demonstrate the model's feasibility. Pre-experimental design with one-group pretest-posttest was employed to measure effectiveness across three implementation sites: SMPN X (n=28), SMPN Y (n=26), and SMPN Z (n=31). Statistical analysis revealed significant improvements at all sites with paired samples t-tests showing p-values of 0.020, <0.001, and 0.010 respectively. Normalized Gain (N-Gain) analysis yielded consistent "Medium Gain" results with mean scores of 0.5120, 0.5030, and 0.4980. This research contributes to social studies pedagogy by providing a contextually relevant model that bridges global competencies with local cultural preservation, demonstrating scalability and readiness for broader implementation in transforming how cultural sensitivity is cultivated in Indonesian educational settings.

Abstract

Historical literacy is crucial in the teaching of social studies to enhance students' understanding of historical aspects. In this research, an analysis was conducted regarding the implementation of historical literacy development in social studies teaching at Junior High Schools in Bandung City. The research method used was qualitative descriptive to identify the efforts of historical literacy development by teachers and to identify the challenges faced. Data was obtained through observations and interviews with teachers and students at Kartika XIX-2 Junior High School in Bandung City. The results of the research indicate that teachers have been developing historical literacy through classroom activities focusing on historical investigation, historical writing, and the development of historical understanding. However, some challenges persist, such as low student participation, time constraints within the social studies curriculum, and the need for improvement in teachers' pedagogical skills. To enhance historical literacy in the future, it is recommended to utilize technology, develop contextual teaching materials, and implement a multiliteracy learning approach. Thus, it is hoped that students can be more active and critical in understanding social studies subjects with a relevant historical context to contemporary life. This research has implications for the development of social studies curriculum in the future to pay more attention to integrating historical literacy as an integral part of social studies learning.

Abstract

There remains a stigma that history learning is perceived as boring and merely recounts dates, figures, and places of historical events. Students’ low interest in history subjects is reflected in their limited participation, such as lack of motivation to study history, weak reading skills, and minimal engagement in asking or answering questions posed by teachers during classroom lessons. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine history learning at the senior high school level. The objectives are to explore students’ perceptions and interest in history, to describe family-based local history learning as an engaging and meaningful alternative, and to explain its benefits for students. The research method employed is a literature review, with sources collected from ebooks and articles. The findings indicate that family-based local history learning can serve as an engaging and meaningful alternative to traditional history instruction. The conclusion emphasizes that meaningful and engaging history learning begins with creative teachers who are able to design and implement lessons that allow students to truly experience the benefits of studying history.
