Abstract

Toxic masculinity is a social construct in patriarchal societies, characterizing male attitudes that dominate and accentuate gender inequality with women in lower positions, influencing detrimental behavioral patterns. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of Rational Emotive Behavior Group Counseling in reducing toxic masculinity behaviors among high school students within the context of patriarchal culture. The study employed an experimental design with a pretest and posttest control group arrangement. From the Toxic masculinity inventory measurements, twelve students with high levels of toxic masculinity characteristics were identified. Subject selection was randomized, with six students in each experimental and control group. Data collected were analyzed using a paired sample T-test, revealing a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, indicating that Rational Emotive Behavior Group Counseling is effective in reducing toxic masculinity behaviors among high school students influenced by patriarchal culture. This research contributes to understanding the effectiveness of group counseling interventions with the Rational Emotive Behavior Group Counseling approach in addressing the impact of toxic masculinity. The implications have the potential to transform student behavior towards gender balance and equality within the patriarchal culture of high school education environments.

Abstract

The philosophical study of Catur Murti counseling in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic is a deep question about problems and reality, as a reflective function and a paradigm for analytical claims of Nusantara science as a process of transformation and theoretical-ethical insight amid the problems of the COVID-19 pandemic. Catur Murti counseling paradigm restores counseling of conceptual sophistication of Nusantara's knowledge through the process of growing and developing a counseling discipline based on Nusantara culture in observing the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Catur Murti counseling, which is summarized by one of the explicit ideas in the Javanese literature tradition, namely the collection of fibers (serat-serat) of the noble teachings of Raden Mas Panji Sosrokartono, is assumed to be able to help to understand of oneself accurately, to create life perfection and to bring peace of mind in harmonizing thoughts, feelings words, and deeds in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The transition of learning during the COVID-19 pandemic from offline to online and then offline again certainly has its own impact on students. Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers are expected to have a clear role. This study aims to determine the role of guidance and counseling teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic. To obtain data, the researcher conducted interviews with the selected research subjects because they had the capacity according to the research theme (purpose sampling). Based on the results of the interviews conducted, the researchers found: (1) The role of the BK teacher Ing ngarso sung tuladha, was carried out by providing good examples for students who came from their own initiative, the role was in accordance with the covert role or personal role where the behavior was made purely from sincerity and has a positive impact on the environment, (2) the role of the BK teacher Ing madya mangun karsa where when in his own environment he gives encouragement either directly or indirectly, this is in accordance with the role of overt or the role of the public that makes the surrounding environment feel excited, ( 3) The role of the BK teacher, tut wuri handayani, where the BK teacher shows his performance professionally so that colleagues are also encouraged to improve their performance, this role is in accordance with the descriptive role theory of descriptive roles or concepts that make the surrounding environment have a concept of what the subject is doing repeatedly.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of collaboration between Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers and parents in improving student learning achievement through the implementation of responsive services. The research problem faced is how collaboration between guidance and counseling teachers and parents can influence student learning achievement in the school environment. The research population was high school-level students, with samples selected randomly from various schools. The research method used is a literature study, where various literature sources related to collaboration between guidance and counseling teachers and parents, as well as the implementation of responsive services, are analyzed comprehensively. The results of the analysis conclude that effective collaboration between guidance and counseling teachers and parents can significantly improve student learning achievement. Furthermore, the findings highlight the importance of parental involvement in education as well as the role of guidance and counseling teachers in providing responsive services that suit students' needs. The implication of this research is the importance of strengthening collaboration between guidance and counseling teachers and parents to support student learning and development. This research contributes to the understanding of how collaboration between guidance and counseling teachers and parents can be an effective strategy for improving student learning achievement.

Abstract

Differences are the nature of every human being. Conflicts in the family arise because of differences between husband and wife that are ignored and not managed and resolved properly. If a conflict is not managed well, it can result in domestic violence and lead to divorce. This article describes the role of interpersonal communication in managing family conflict, discussing how interpersonal communication strategies can be used in an effort to manage conflict management in the family. Abstract

Modern marriages are faced with complex challenges, such as changing social values, economic pressures, hampered communication, and mental unpreparedness. Premarital guidance is a strategic solution in preparing couples to live a harmonious and sustainable married life. This article aims to analyze literature related to premarital guidance programs, especially in responding to the challenges of modern marriage. Based on a literature review, an effective premarital guidance program includes a holistic approach that involves spiritual, emotional, financial, and communication aspects. Additionally, the integration of technology, such as online courses and interactive applications, has been shown to increase program accessibility and appeal. A religious values-based approach, especially in the context of the sakinah family, also makes a significant contribution to building a deeper understanding of the purpose of marriage. Recommendations for program development include adaptation to the socio-cultural context, use of interactive media, involvement of multidisciplinary professionals, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation. With a comprehensive approach, premarital guidance can be a strong foundation for overcoming the challenges of modern marriage while creating a harmonious and stable family.

Abstract

Masalah psikologis tidak lepas dari kondisi kesejahteraan psikologis setiap orang. Penting untuk memiliki kesadaran terkait kesejahteraan psikologis guna mengantarkannya pada aktualisasi diri.Sehingga dibutuhkan layanan yang membantu membentuk kesejahteraan psikologis tersebut, melalui konseling, salah satunya adalah konseling kelompok. Konseling kelompok dapat berbasis logoterapi yang berperan untuk membantu individu dalam menemukan makna dan tujuan hidup serta membentuk kesejahteraan psikologis melalui dinamika kelompok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan konseling kelompokberbasis logoterapi sebagai alternatif solusi pembentukan kesejahteraan psikologis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalahsystematic literature review dengan teknik Preferred Reporting Items for Sysematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Hasil pencarian pertama penelitian pada database menghasilkan 1.900 judul yang relevan. Kemudian, diterapkannya kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi pada proses screening, sehingga hanya 6 artikel yang dianalisis dan disintesis secara kualitatif. Hasil review menggambarkan bahwa konseling kelompok berbasis logoterapi menjadi salah satu alternatif solusi pembentukan kesejahteraan psikologis.Abstract: Psychological problems are inseparable from the psychological well-being of each individual. It is important to have awareness regarding psychological well-being to lead to self-actualization. Therefore, services are needed to help shape this psychological well-being, through counseling, one of which is a group counseling. Groups counseling can be based on logotherapy, which plays a role in helping individuals find meaning and purpose in life and foster psychological well-being through group dynamics. This study aims to describe logotherapy-based counseling groups as an alternative solution for developing psychological well-being. The method used in this study was a systematic literature review using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) technique. The result of the initial search in the database yielded 1.900 relevant titles. Then, inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied in the screening process, resulting in only 6 articles being analyzed and synthesized qualitative. The review results illustrate that logotherapy-based counseling groups are an alternative solution for developing psychological well-being.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literatur review atau kajian pustaka yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejarah perkembangan, hakikat manusia, konsep gangguan, mekanisme pengubahan, serta tahapan dan tujuan dari pendekatan Konseling Kognitif Perilaku (Cognitive Behavior Therapy/CBT). Data diperoleh dari berbagai sumber seperti buku, jurnal nasional, dan jurnal internasional yang relevan dengan topik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa CBT lahir dari integrasi antara teori kognitif dan perilaku yang dikembangkan oleh tokoh-tokoh seperti Albert Ellis, Aaron T. Beck, dan Donald Meichenbaum. Pendekatan ini menekankan hubungan antara pikiran, dan perilaku, serta mengajarkan individu untuk mengenali dan menantang pikiran negatif yang tidak rasional guna membentuk perilaku yang lebih adaptif. CBT juga berfokus pada masa kini dengan tujuan membantu individu mengubah pola pikir maladaptif, meningkatkan keterampilan koping, dan mendorong kemandirian dalam mengatasi masalah psikologis. Konselor dapat menggunakan berbagai teknik kognitif-perilaku, seperti restrukturisasi kognitif , penghentian pikiran, atau latihan mindfulness, untuk membantu klien mengubah pola kognitif yang tidak bermanfaat. Tujuannya adalah agar klien mengembangkan perspektif yang lebih seimbang, yang pada gilirannya mengarah pada respons dan perilaku emosional yang lebih sehat

Abstract

Artikel ini dibuat dengan tujuan menjelaskan mengenai pendekatan Solution Focused-Brief Counseling (SFBC) yang fokus pada solusi dalam kegiatan konseling dengan menggunakan metode penelitian library research. Informasi dan data yang termuat dalam artikel ini bersumber dari artikel, jurnal, dan riset melalui internet yang telah melakukan penelitian terkait pendekatan solution focused-brief counseling sebelumnya. Hasil pembahasan dalam artikel ini meliputi kajian mengenai pendekatan solution focused-brief counseling, yakni sejarah perkembangan, hakikat manusia, perkembangan perilaku, hakikat konseling, kondisi pengubahan, mekanisme pengubahan, serta kelebihan dan kekurangan. Pendekatan Solution Focused-Brief Counseling (SFBC) ialah kegiatan konseling yang berpusat pada penemuan solusi untuk megatasi masalah dan mendorong suatu perubahan untuk mengembangkan pribadi konseli. Abstract

Abstract: Kindergarten education is an important foundation in children's development, preparing them to enter higher levels of education. One of the main challenges in the learning process in kindergarten is disruptive behavior. This behavior can hinder the learning process not only for the students concerned but also for their classmates and teachers. One approach that can be used to address disruptive behavior in kindergarten students is the application of Differential Reinforcement of Other Behavior (DRO). For this reason, this service aims to find out the procedure for applying DRO to the disruptive behavior of kindergarten students. The research method used is a qualitative method with data collection methods using Classroom Action Research (PTK) supported by participatory observation. The results of the implementation of this DRO application show that the provision of DRO must be carried out periodically so that student's disruptive behavior can be reduced. In addition, for the application of DRO to run more effectively, it needs to be combined with other procedures such as token economy. Keywords: Differential of Other Behavior, Disruptive Behavior, Kindergarten Students Abstrak: Pendidikan TK menjadi fondasi penting dalam perkembangan anak, mempersiapkan mereka untuk memasuki jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi. Salah satu tantangan utama dalam proses pembelajaran di TK adalah perilaku mengganggu siswa. Perilaku ini dapat menghambat proses pembelajaran tidak hanya bagi siswa yang bersangkutan, tetapi juga bagi teman-teman sekelasnya dan guru. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi perilaku mengganggu pada siswa TK adalah penerapan Differential Reinforcement of Other Behavior (DRO). Untuk itu, pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prosedur penerapan DRO terhadap perilaku mengganggu siswa TK. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni metode kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang didukung dengan observasi partisipatif. Hasil pelaksanaan penerapan DRO ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian DRO harus dilakukan secara berkala agar perilaku mengganggu siswa dapat dikurangi. Selain itu, agar penerapan DRO dapat berjalan lebih efektif maka perlu digabungkan dengan prosedur lain seperti token ekonomi.   Kata kunci: Differential of Other Behavior, Perilaku Mengganggu, Siswa TK
