Social media has also become a public sphere for people to express all expressions, opinions, ideas, and feelings, including conveying hate speech. In Indonesia, there are many forms of hate speech, one of which leads to issues of racism and religious and state sentiment. This study will identify the problem of hate speech related to religion and the state on social media. This study is a descriptive qualitative study by taking data from Social Media Analysts using a query for hate speech words that have a relationship between religion and the state that are popular in Indonesia, namely the terms Kadrun and Cebong. The first result shows that around 52,290 thousand mentions containing hate speech using the word kadrun and 25,290 thousand statements using the word cebong as a form of negative response to issues that contribute to the background, the case of contradiction between religion and the state. The second religious issue has become a trending issue in the digital era and is most readily associated with political matters in spreading hate speech. Three Twitter media are one of the most frequently used social media platforms compared to other media in spreading hate speech by Indonesia's digital community. This research implies the development of perspectives from both labels to bring down the opposition's reputation during certain political events.Â

The Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH) halal logo design has pros and cons for Indonesian Muslims in terms of Arabic calligraphy, the shape of the halal logo, which resembles a wayang, and a total change from the previous halal logo of the Indonesian Council of Ulama (Majelis Ulama Indonesia). This research aims to analyze the phenomenon of the halal industry in Indonesia in the context of the contention between religious and industrial ideologies on social media, focusing the study on the controversial rebranding of the halal logo. This research uses a qualitative analysis method with a mass communication and political science approach to understand the substance and objectives of the various parties involved in the halal logo controversy on social media. This research indicates that a total change of the halal logo is not urgent in improving the quality of halal product guarantee services in Indonesia. The BPJPH halal logo design prioritizes artistic expression rather than Halal writing in Arabic as a sign that the product is "Halal," so it is difficult to read as a "Halal" sign. The essence of the halal logo is that it is a sign that the product has been certified halal by BPJPH so that the certainty of halal writing is easier and quicker for consumers to understand.

This study investigates the role and strategies of Muslim women politicians in utilising social media during local head elections in post-conflict regions in Indonesia. By employing a mixed-methods approach integrating both qualitative and quantitative data, this research analysed 371 comments from Twitter that were captured using the Netlytic platform, a cloud-based tool that assesses social media dynamics. The findings reveal that social media platforms significantly amplify the political voice and influence of Muslim women, providing them with a vital tool for overcoming traditional barriers in political communication. The study contributes to the broader understanding of digital communication in political campaigns, particularly highlighting how gender and cultural dynamics influence political participation in Muslim-majority regions. It also suggests strategic directions for future campaigns to enhance the visibility and effectiveness of women politicians.
