Abstract

Pendidikan abad ke-21 menuntut kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dalam menghadapi tantangan global. Dalam konteks pembelajaran fisika, kemampuan Scientific Higher order Thinking (S-HOT) menjadi salah satu kemampuan yang diperlukan, namun dalam prakteknya kemampuan tersebut belum berkembang secara optimal sehingga dibutuhkan asesmen yang valid untuk mengukur sekaligus memfasilitasi kemampuan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai validitas dari asesmen yang telah dibuat. Data validitas diperoleh dari tiga orang validator ahli dosen fisika FMIPA UNP melalui lembar validitas berbasis skala Likert yang memuat aspek kelayakan isi, kebahasaan, penyajian, kegrafisan, kesesuaian model DSI, dan kesesuaian indikator S-HOT. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan persamaan Aiken’s V untuk memperoleh nilai validitas dari asesmen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai validitas pada aspek kelayakan isi sebesar 0,93, kebahasaan 0,92, penyajian 0,96, kegrafisan 1,00, kesesuaian model DSI 0,92, dan kesesuaian S-HOT 0,93 dengan rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 0,94 berkategori sangat valid. Dengan demikian, asesmen yang dibuat telah memenuhi kriteria validitas produk pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa asesmen telah valid sehingga dapat dijadikan solusi alternatif untuk mengembangkan kemampuan S-HOT peserta didik.

Abstract

Particle dynamics is a foundational branch of physics, yet students frequently struggle with abstract concepts, leading to persistent misconceptions that hinder scientific reasoning. This study aims to analyze the specific concepts prone to misconceptions in particle dynamics, identify their primary causes, and evaluate the effectiveness of various remediation strategies to improve conceptual understanding. This research employed a descriptive quantitative design using the Systematic Review method following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. A total of 20 scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025, indexed in national and international databases, were analyzed. The study integrated a bibliometric approach using VOSviewer software to visualize research trends and keyword networks, ensuring a robust and objective synthesis of the current literature. The findings indicate that misconceptions are most prevalent in Newton’s Laws (45%), followed by the Law of Conservation of Momentum (35%), and force and net force (30%). The primary cause of these errors is students' internal prior conceptions (65%), often derived from intuitive daily experiences that conflict with scientific principles. Effective remediation strategies identified include active learning models such as guided inquiry, generative learning, and cognitive conflict approaches. Furthermore, the integration of interactive simulations like PhET and E-LKPD significantly enhanced the remediation process by providing essential visual scaffolding. Misconceptions in particle dynamics remain a major challenge, predominantly rooted in intuitive reasoning regarding force and motion. Successful remediation requires pedagogical shifts toward active student involvement and the use of technology-based visualizations to facilitate conceptual change. These results provide a vital scientific reference for educators to design targeted interventions and for curriculum developers to address conceptual gaps early in physics education.

Abstract

Digital literacy is the ability to interpret and use all information/data widely obtained with digital assistance. Digital literacy plays an important role in the industrial revolution 4.0 era because in this era there is an integration of advanced digital technology in all aspects of life including education. The purpose of this study is to investigate the application and impact of digital literacy in higher education. The method in this research is a systematic literature review with use PRISMA method. In this study, a process of identification, synthesis and analysis of scientific articles relevant to the impact of digital literacy on higher education was carried out. Digital literacy has a significant impact on higher education, shaping the way students and educators interact with information and technology. It is important for higher education institutions to integrate digital literacy in the curriculum, as well as address the challenges that arise, to ensure that students are prepared for future challenges in an increasingly digitized world.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the essential competencies that students in the 21st century must possess. Biology learning in high school emphasizes the development of critical thinking skills, which are essential abilities in understanding, analyzing, and evaluating complex information. This research aims to design a critical thinking skills assessment instrument based on Project-Based Learning for Class X High School Students on climate change material. This study uses a descriptive research method. The data collection technique in this study is by observation and literature study. The preparation of this assessment instrument is designed based on the Scientific Literacy Assessment (SLA). The data that has been collected is then analyzed in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing a conclusion. The results of the study show that a design of observation sheets and assessment instruments has been produced that can be used to measure students' critical thinking skills. This assessment instrument for students' critical thinking skills is designed based on SLAs and is ready to be validated so that a valid assessment instrument is produced. Teachers can use this assessment instrument to assess students' critical thinking skills in project-based learning. This instrument can also be used to provide constructive feedback to students and help them improve their critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi Dinamika Rotasi. Hasil studi awal yang dilakukan di SMAN 2 Sungai Penuh dan MAN 1 Sungai Penuh menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik hanya mencapai 13,92% dan berada pada kategori sangat rendah. Selain itu, media pembelajaran yang digunakan masih didominasi oleh buku teks, LKPD, dan papan tulis sehingga belum mampu memfasilitasi pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan Articulate Storyline 3 berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi Dinamika Rotasi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation, namun difokuskan pada tahap Analysis. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 59 peserta didik, yaitu 33 peserta didik kelas XI C SMAN 2 Sungai Penuh dan 26 peserta didik kelas XI F MAN 1 Sungai Penuh, serta guru Fisika pada masing-masing sekolah. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, angket analisis kebutuhan, dan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis berdasarkan indikator Ennis yang meliputi memberikan penjelasan sederhana, membangun keterampilan dasar, menyimpulkan, memberikan penjelasan lanjut, serta mengatur strategi dan teknik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik masih berada pada kategori sangat rendah dengan rata-rata sebesar 13,92%, sementara hasil wawancara dan angket menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang digunakan belum mampu memvisualisasikan konsep Dinamika Rotasi secara optimal serta belum mendukung keterlibatan aktif peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan media pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, kontekstual, dan berbasis teknologi. Integrasi model PBL dengan Articulate Storyline 3 berpotensi menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih berpusat pada peserta didik dan mendukung pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Dengan demikian, pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan Articulate Storyline 3 berbasis PBL direkomendasikan sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi Dinamika Rotasi.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menilai kesiapan empiris dan metodologis untuk menguji efektivitas e-modul berbasis Dual Space Inquiry (DSI) terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi gelombang bunyi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif melalui analisis hasil belajar awal siswa, wawancara guru, telaah bahan ajar, dan uji coba instrumen penelitian. Data hasil belajar awal diperoleh dari 63 siswa kelas XI Fase F, sedangkan uji coba instrumen dilakukan pada 30 responden dengan menggunakan 29 butir soal pilihan ganda. Kualitas instrumen dianalisis berdasarkan validitas butir, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembeda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar awal siswa pada materi gelombang bunyi masih rendah, dengan sebagian besar siswa belum mencapai ketuntasan belajar. Hasil wawancara dan telaah bahan ajar menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran masih menggunakan sumber belajar yang dominan bersifat statis dan belum mengintegrasikan simulasi, aktivitas inkuiri, serta refleksi pembelajaran secara sistematis. Uji coba instrumen menunjukkan bahwa instrumen memiliki konsistensi internal yang memadai berdasarkan nilai reliabilitas KR-20 sebesar 0,79, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai instrumen awal setelah mempertimbangkan hasil analisis butir. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya kebutuhan terhadap bahan ajar yang mampu memfasilitasi pembelajaran fisika yang lebih interaktif dan bermakna. Selain itu, hasil studi pendahuluan ini memberikan dasar empiris dan metodologis untuk melanjutkan pengujian efektivitas e-modul berbasis Dual Space Inquiry terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi gelombang bunyi. This study aims to assess the empirical and methodological readiness to test the effectiveness of e-modules based on Dual Space Inquiry (DSI) on students' cognitive learning outcomes on sound wave materials. The research uses a quantitative descriptive approach through the analysis of students' initial learning outcomes, teacher interviews, study of teaching materials, and testing of research instruments. Data on initial learning outcomes were obtained from 63 students in grade XI Phase F, while instrument trials were carried out on 30 respondents using 29 multiple-choice questions. The quality of the instruments was analyzed based on the validity of the grain, reliability, level of difficulty, and differentiating power. The results of the analysis showed that students' initial learning outcomes on sound wave material were still low, with most students not yet reaching learning completion. The results of interviews and study of teaching materials show that learning still uses predominantly static learning resources and has not integrated simulations, inquiry activities, and systematic learning reflection. The instrument test showed that the instrument had adequate internal consistency based on the KR-20 reliability value of 0.79, so that it could be used as an initial instrument after considering the results of the item analysis. The findings of this study show that there is a need for teaching materials that are able to facilitate more interactive and meaningful physics learning. In addition, the results of this preliminary study provide an empirical and methodological basis to continue testing the effectiveness of e-modules based on Dual Space Inquiry on students' cognitive learning outcomes on sound wave materials. .

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach in education through a systematic literature review. TaRL is a teaching method that is tailored to the individual abilities of learners. It ensures that every learner receives an education that is appropriate to their ability level. This review analyzed articles from academic journals published between 2018-2024, obtained through Google Scholar with the keywords “Teaching at the Right Level”, ‘TaRL’, and “learning evaluation”. The review was supported by the inclusion criteria of articles addressing the implementation and evaluation of TaRL, while opinion articles and unpublished reports were excluded. Based on the search results, 18 relevant articles were obtained. The results of the analysis show that the TaRL approach is effectively applied in science learning at the elementary, junior high and high school levels. This approach is proven to be able to improve learning outcomes, motivation, activeness, and communication skills of students. The success can be seen through various forms of evaluation and learning strategies that are systematically applied in the research cycle.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to measure and find out the validity of the points in Science Physics questions for class VII SMP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo regarding the subject matter of temperature and heat through a quantitative descriptive approach and data collection techniques which were carried out using a test technique in the form of temperature and heat questions totaling 25 items in the form of multiple choices. The population used was all students of class VII SMP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo as many as 224 students spread over 7 parallel classes, 40 students were taken randomly. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using the Anates program version 4 for windows. The results showed that the level of validity of the questions was moderate, namely 0.42. Keywords: Validity, Problem, Science Physics

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the psychometric quality of a science assessment instrument designed for fifth-grade elementary school students in a deep learning instructional context using the Rasch model. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a one-parameter logistic Rasch model (1-PL) analyzed using Winsteps software version 5.10.4.0 applied to 20 dichotomous multiple-choice items administered to 29 fifth-grade elementary school students; the analysis covered item difficulty, construct validity, unidimensionality based on PCA of standardized residuals, person ability, person fit, and instrument reliability. The results showed strong reliability with a KR-20 coefficient of 0.89, person reliability of 0.84, and item reliability of 0.81; the raw variance explained by the measures reached 42.9% exceeding the 40% Rasch standard and all unexplained variance contrasts remained below 10% confirming that the instrument is unidimensional; 19 of the 20 items were valid while item A10 showed misfit (Outfit MNSQ = 2.45; ZSTD = 2.15); and the distribution of student ability indicated 20.69% in the high category, 62.07% moderate, and 17.24% low with six students exhibiting inconsistent response patterns. This study concludes that the science assessment instrument developed within the deep learning framework demonstrates adequate psychometric quality for measuring fifth-grade elementary school students' science competence. Abstract

The development of 21st-century technology demands more interactive and student-centered learning. However, preliminary studies at SMAN 2 Painan showed that students' critical thinking skills on heat were still low. This was due to the teacher-centered learning style, which resulted in students being less active, and the media used did not support exploration and discovery of concepts. To address these issues, this study developed an interactive, inquiry-based learning media supported by Google Sites. The development process followed the Dick and Carey model, with expert validation and practicality testing on 30 students and 3 Physics teachers. The validation results showed a Cohen's Kappa value of 0.96 (very valid), while the practicality test produced a value of 0.88 (very practical). These findings suggest that Google Sites can be an effective alternative to support inquiry-based learning and improve students' critical thinking skills. Consequently, this media can be used as an adaptive and accessible digital learning innovation. However, this study was limited to a small sample size, focused on only one topic, and did not examine the long-term impact of media use.
