Abstract

This study aims to determine the essential competencies contribution of each vocational course and engineering course in the curriculum to the competence needs of education, training, and engineering work in the electrical power competencies. The research was carried out using a goal-oriented evaluation approach. The object of this research is to the essential competencies of the electrical engineering education Master Program's courses at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, including engineering and vocational education courses. Data collection used a questionnaire, then analyzed descriptively. Furthermore, it was presented in the form of categorical data and graphs. The research results show that each essential competence contributes 70.0% to electrical education and training jobs. Referring to the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards, each essential competency contributes more than 66.7%. Thus it can be concluded that the essential competencies of the electrical engineering education Master Program's courses in Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta have contributed to the electricity sector jobs.

Abstract

Dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan tinggi harus memiliki mutu yang terstandar dalam peraturan yang berlaku. UST Yogyakarta telah memiliki akreditasi B dari BAN-PT serta 56,52% program studi di UST terakreditasi Unggul dan B. Melihat kondisi tersebut, masih jauh dari target untuk mencapai Unggul. Kemudian pada tahun 2021 di UST para pejabat struktural penjaminan mutu (SPMF/D dan GMP) telah mengalami habis masa jabatannya, sehingga di tahun 2021 UST mengangkat dan melantik para SPMF/D dan GMP dengan 80% merupakan orang baru. Agar pelaksaan SPMI dapat berjalan dengan baik maka para SPMF/D dan GMP yang baru perlu menyadari tupoksi mereka masing-masing. Upaya penguatan tupoksi dilakukan oleh LPM melalui kegiatan pelatihan dan penyegaran auditor Audit Mutu Internal) (AMI). Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilaksanakan di Ruang Sidang Lantai II, (Gedung Pusat UST Lantai 2) Jalan Batikan UH-3/1043 Tahunan, Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta 55167 pada hari Selasa, 30 Agustus 2022. Peserta dari kegiatan ini adalah para auditor non akademik, SPMF/D, dan GMP di lingkungan UST yang berjumlah 33 peserta. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan ceramah, tanya jawab, dan praktik. Metode ceramah dan tanya jawab dilakukan untuk menyampaikan materi tentang kebijakan SPMI, teori dan best practice AMI, sedangkan praktik digunakan untuk melakukan simulasi audit kecukupan dan kepatutan dengan auditee. Hasil kegiatan ini yaitu pada peserta telah mengalami peningkatan dalam kemampuan mengaudit yang ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan hasil dari pre test sebesar 73,39 menjadi 78,75 di post test. Sebagai hasil tidak lanjut dari kegiatan ini adalah melakukan AMI di lingkungan UST.

Abstract

Ikan gurame (Osphronemus gouramy) merupakan salah satu jenis ikan air tawar yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi dan banyak digemari oleh masyarakat luas. Permasalahan yang di hadapi dalam penetasan telur ikan gurame yaitu daya tetas telur yang masih rendah dan tingkat kelulushidupan yang masih rendah. Pada fase ini kondisinya masih rentan terhadap perubahan lingkungan. Suhu adalah hal yang perlu diperhatikan dalam penetasan telur ikan gurame, oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan manipulasi suhu dalam wadah agar suhu lebih konstan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu terhadap penetasan telur dan pertumbuhan larva ikan gurame (O. gouramy). Bahan uji yang digunakan adalah telur ikan gurame (O. gouramy) dengan total telur yang digunakan sebanyak 900 butir. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap 5 perlakuan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini: perlakuan suhu P1 (28oC), P2 (29oC), P3 (30oC), P4 (31oC) dan P5 (32)oC. Data yang diamati meliputi survival rate, hatching rate, lama penetasan, panjang mutlak, dan spesifik growt rate. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perbedaan suhu berpengaruh nyata terhadap lama penetasan telur, panjang mutlak,kelulushidupan dan spesifik growt rate., sedangkan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap daya tetas telur ikan gurame (O. gouramy). Perlakuan E 32oC adalah perlakuan yang terbaik yang menghasilkan penetasan 22 jam, daya tetas telur 96,67% kelulushidupan 91,35%, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak 1,47 cm dan SGR 4,42%.

Abstract

Quality research can positively impact the development of science and technology and improve the reputation of universities. This study investigates the determinant factors that affect the research performance of lecturers who obtain external funding. The sample was 41 lecturers who obtained external research funds from various institutions (e.g., Directorate of Research, Technology and Community Service, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia; National Research and Innovation Agency of the Republic of Indonesia; and similar institutions) for the last three years (2021 - 2023). Cluster analysis using secondary data (Science and Technology Index or SINTA data) was conducted to determine research performance clusters (high and low). Discriminant analysis was conducted to determine the determinant factors affecting research performance achievement based on the cluster analysis results. The results revealed that internal factors, including mastery of English and interest in the research topics offered, are determinant factors that affect the research performance of lecturers receiving external funding. In external factors, eight determinant factors affect research performance, namely: support for dissemination of research results in journals, support from research assistant staff, satisfaction with awards from the university, satisfaction with awards from outside the university, support for research matching funds from the university, training in writing research proposals, ease of obtaining research permits from agencies outside the university, and adequacy of facilities at the university. Universities need to consider these factors to encourage the improvement of the research performance of lecturers receiving external funding.

Abstract

Strengthening Character Education (PPK) is crucial in facing the current global changes and developments. The existence of PPK can address various challenges encountered in the education sector. One of the key aspects reinforced in character education is discipline. Therefore, this research aims to identify the steps taken by Civics teachers to strengthen the discipline character of students at SMPN 3 Mataram. The study was conducted at SMPN 3 Mataram using a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate that the efforts made by Civics teachers to enhance the discipline character of students at SMPN 3 Mataram include (a) Teaching Modules: Integrating discipline for independent learning, (b) Introduction: Preparing students with prayers and rules, (c) Learning Models: A structured approach focused on responsibility, (d) Learning Media: Relevant for understanding discipline character, (e) Closing: Delivering moral messages and evaluations, (f) Attitude Assessment: Observations to foster discipline, (g) Teacher Role Models: Teacher discipline serves as an example for students. Factors influencing the efforts of Civics teachers include: (1) Internal Factors: (a) Teacher Competence: A highly competent teacher can serve as a role model for students, (b) Learning Readiness: Teachers must continuously update their knowledge and adapt, (c) Personal Discipline: The teacher's disciplined attitude supports students' discipline character; (2) External Factors: (a) Regular school policies and collaboration are essential for shaping student discipline, (b) The Role of Students: Active participation from students and positive interactions with teachers are key in supporting discipline, (c) School Rules: Student discipline improves through adherence to and enforcement of rules. ABSTRAKPenguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) sangat penting dalam menghadapi perubahan dan perkembangan global saat ini. Keberadaan PPK mampu menjawab berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi dalam dunia pendidikan. Salah satu aspek yang diperkuat dalam pendidikan karakter adalah disiplin. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi langkah-langkah yang diambil oleh guru PPKn dalam memperkuat karakter disiplin siswa di SMPN 3 Mataram. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 3 Mataram dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru PPKn dalam memperkuat karakter disiplin siswa di SMPN 3 Mataram meliputi (a) Modul Ajar: Mengintegrasikan disiplin untuk belajar mandiri, (b) Pendahuluan: Mempersiapkan siswa dengan doa dan aturan, (c) Model Pembelajaran: Pendekatan terstruktur fokus pada tanggung jawab, (d) Media Pembelajaran: Relevan untuk memahami karakter disiplin, (e) Penutup: Menyampaikan pesan moral dan evaluasi, (f) Penilaian Sikap: Observasi untuk membina disiplin, (g) Teladan Guru: Disiplin guru menjadi contoh bagi siswa. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi upaya guru PPKn antara lain: (1) Faktor Internal: (a) Kompetensi Guru: Seorang guru yang memiliki kompetensi tinggi dapat menjadi teladan bagi siswa (b) Kesiapan Belajar: Guru harus terus memperbarui pengetahuan dan beradaptasi (c) Disiplin Pribadi: Sikap disiplin guru mendukung karakter disiplin siswa, (2) Faktor Eksternal: (a) Kebijakan sekolah yang teratur dan kolaborasi penting untuk membentuk disiplin siswa, (b) Peran Peserta Didik: Peran aktif siswa dan interaksi positif dengan guru kunci dalam mendukung disiplin, (c) Aturan Sekolah: Kedisiplinan siswa meningkat lewat kepatuhan dan penegakan aturan.

Abstract

This study examines how MAN 1 Lombok Timur teachers use the TPACK approach to help students better understand Civics material. This study used a descriptive research design and qualitative research methodology. Interviews, observations, and documentation were the methods used to collect data. Data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing were the data analysis methods used. The research findings show that there is an increase in students' understanding of Civics subjects through the use of the TPACK approach, namely learning using technology and listening to podcasts about diction. Supporting factors are teacher competence and school infrastructure and inhibiting factors are limited access to technology, lack of teacher skills in TPACK, unsupportive curriculum, mismatch of technology with learning needs, lack of support and resources, and rapid changes in technology. ABSTRAKStudi ini meneliti bagaimana guru MAN 1 Lombok Timur menggunakan pendekatan TPACK untuk membantu siswa memahami materi PPKn dengan lebih baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif dan metodologi penelitian kualitatif. Wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi adalah metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan adalah metode analisis data yang digunakan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap mata pelajaran PPKn melalui penggunaan pendekatan TPACK yaitu pembelajaran menggunakan teknologi dan mendengarkan podcast tentang diksi. Faktor pendukungnya yaitu kompetensi guru dan sarana prasarana sekolah serta faktor penghambat yaitu keterbatasan akses teknologi, kurangnya keterampilan guru dalam TPACK, kurikulum yang tidak mendukung, ketidaksesuaian teknologi dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran, kurangnya dukungan dan sumber daya, serta perubahan yang cepat dalam teknologi.

Abstract

English, as an international language, played a crucial role in the world of education and global communication. In Indonesia, English is taught as a foreign language and is an integral part of the education curriculum. Writing in English is one of the essential components for developing students’ language skills, especially for students at the junior high school level. The purpose of this research was identified the writing errors made by students in descriptive texts. The study was conducted at SMPN 4 Satu Atap Arjosari Pacitan. This research used a quantitative research design. The data sources for this study were nine students from grade VII, selected through purposive sampling. The students’ descriptive text in writing test was used the primary data research. The research findings indicated that there were five aspects of errors in writing. The most dominant was language use, accounting 36%, contents 25%, vocabulary 18%, organizations 17%, mechanics 4%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Menghasilkan media/produk sistem keamanan sepeda motor berbasis android dan adruino sebagai pendukung media belajar. (2) Mengetahui kelayakan produk yang dihasilkan berupa  media belajar sistem keamanan sepeda motor berbasis android dan adruino pada mata kuliah teknik sepeda motor. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Developmen (R&D) menggunakan model pengembangan 4D yang memiliki 4 tahapan yaitu tahap Define, tahap Design, tahap Develop and tahap Disseminate. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket skala likert dengan empat versi respons jawaban.  Sedangkan teknik analisis yang dipergunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian pengembangan ini telah berhasil dikembangkan dalam bentuk berupa produk  sistem keamanan sepeda motor berbasis android dan adruino sebagai media pendukung belajar praktek, materi sistem kelistrikan sepeda motor pada mata kuliah TSM (Teknik Sepeda Motor), program studi Pendidikan Vokasional Teknik Mesin konsentrasi otomotif,  Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta. Hasil kelayakan produk dari ahli mendapat rerata 79,4% termasuk dalam kategori “sangat layak”, sedangkan hasil  Uji coba terhadap 14 mahasiwa diperoleh skor 89,8% dari aspek kualitas produk  masuk dalam kategori “sangat layak”, dari aspek penggunaan produk mendapat skor 79,9% masuk kategori “sangat layak”, dan dari aspek penggunaan produk mendapat skor 88,2% masuk dalam kategori “sangat layak”. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sistem keamanan sepeda motor berbasis android dan adruino sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pendukung pembelajaran.   Development of Android and Arduino-based motorcycle security systems as a support of learning media   Abstract: This study aims to (1) Produce media/products for motorcycle security systems based on Android and Adruino as a support for learning media. (2) Knowing the feasibility of the resulting product in the form of learning media for motorcycle security systems based on Android and Adruino in motorcycle engineering courses. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D development model, which has four stages, namely the Define stage, the Design stage, the Develop stage, and the Disseminate stage. The data collection instrument used in this study used a Likert scale questionnaire with four versions of response answers. In contrast, the analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative. This development research has been successfully developed as a motorcycle security system product based on Android and Adruino as a supporting medium for practical learning, motorcycle electrical system material in the TSM (Motorcycle Engineering) course, Vocational Education Mechanical Engineering study program in automotive concentration, Bachelors University. Tamansiswa Yogyakarta. The product feasibility results from experts got an average of 79.4% included in the "very feasible" category, while the results of trials on 14 students obtained a score of 89.8% from the aspect of product quality included in the "very feasible" category, from the aspect of product use it received a score 79.9% is in the "very decent" category, and from the aspect of product use a score of 88.2% is in the "very decent" category. The analysis results show that the motorcycle security system based on Android and Adruino is very suitable to be used as a learning support medium.

Abstract

Education is a deliberate effort to help a person grow and mature so that they can assume moral responsibility for their actions in life. Islamic education aims to instill fadhilah, good moral habits, Islamic manners, good morals so that life becomes holy, purity accompanied by honesty, and so on. It's not just about teaching children what they don't know. Education is a deliberate effort to help a person grow and mature so that they can assume moral responsibility for their actions in life. In fact, we often encounter behavior that is not in line with high moral standards. News about corruption, abortion, free sex, drug abuse, fights at school, pickpocketing, parent-child murder or vice versa, and other detrimental behavior which of course fosters despicable morals emerges from our beloved nation every day. The aim of this research is to determine the extent of the influence of the MTs AlFatich Tambak Osowilangun Surabaya school strategy on students' moral education. The sample in this study consisted of 32 class VII children with a population of 180 students. The vision and mission of the MTs Al Fatich madrasa emphasizes the idea of PAI learning in the formation of morals. MTs Al Fatich positions the implementation of education with noble morals as its main goal. At MTs Al Fatich, moral education is taught through the use of exemplary tactics, habituation, direct reprimands, rewards and punishments, as well as the use of words that are flattering and pleasing to students. Apart from providing moral material in the form of subjects, the use of PAI learning principles and methodology in forming student morals at MTs Al Fatich also occurs through internalization in the form of madrasa religious culture. ABSTRAKPendidikan adalah upaya yang disengaja untuk membantu seseorang tumbuh dan menjadi dewasa sehingga mereka dapat memikul tanggung jawab secara moral atas tindakan mereka dalam hidup. Pendidikan Islam bertujuan untuk menanamkan fadhilah, kebiasaan akhlak yang baik, budi pekerti yang Islami, akhlak yang baik agar hidup menjadi suci, kesucian disertai kejujuran, dan lain-lain. Ini bukan hanya tentang mengajari anak-anak apa yang tidak mereka ketahui. Pendidikan adalah upaya yang disengaja untuk membantu seseorang tumbuh dan menjadi dewasa sehingga mereka dapat memikul tanggung jawab secara moral atas tindakan mereka dalam hidup. Kenyataannya, kita banyak menjumpai perilaku yang tidak sejalan dengan standar moral yang tinggi. Berita tentang korupsi, aborsi, seks bebas, penyalahgunaan narkoba, perkelahian di sekolah, pencopetan, pembunuhan orang tua-anak atau sebaliknya, dan perilaku merugikan lainnya yang tentu saja menumbuhkan moral tercela bermunculan dari bangsa kita tercinta setiap hari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh strategi sekolah MTs AlFatich Tambak Osowilangun Surabaya terhadap pendidikan moral siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 32 anak kelas VII yang populasinya berjumlah 180 siswa. Visi dan misi madrasah MTs Al Fatich menonjolkan gagasan pembelajaran PAI dalam pembentukan akhlak. MTs Al Fatich memposisikan penerapan pendidikan dengan akhlak mulia sebagai tujuan utamanya. Di MTs Al Fatich, pendidikan akhlak diajarkan melalui penggunaan taktik keteladanan, pembiasaan, teguran langsung, hadiah, dan hukuman, serta penggunaan kata-kata yang menyanjung dan menyenangkan bagi siswa. Selain melalui pemberian materi akhlak dalam bentuk mata pelajaran, pemanfaatan prinsip dan metodologi pembelajaran PAI dalam pembentukan akhlak siswa di MTs Al Fatich juga terjadi melalui internalisasi dalam bentuk budaya keagamaan madrasah.

Abstract

This study discusses the cooling of water with a system of spraying it into the free air. The energy source to drive the pump uses energy from sunlight. This research is to solve a problem in an area where it is difficult to get water so that the water for the cooling process must be cooled so that it can be used for the next process. The second problem is that the electrical energy is very minimal, so you have to use other energy that can be used for the cooling process. The process of cooling the water spray system into the air was chosen to solve this problem. The tools used in this study were a 600 Wp solar cell, a 300 W water pump and a spray pipe. The research was conducted during the dry season in August. The research results show that the temperature of the water in the pool is not homogeneous the deeper the water in the pool the lower the temperature. The higher the pool water temperature, the longer the cooling time will be. The greater the pump discharge, the faster it will take to cool the pool water. Solar energy is able to supply energy to drive pumps with pool water temperatures up to 45 C. This cooling system can be used at night because it is equipped with batteries. The results of this research can be used and developed to create a larger system. This cooling system does not cause any impact on the environment because the energy source is from sunlight which is environmentally friendly.
