Abstract

An ideal assessment should offer constructive feedback and insights into students' strengths and weaknesses in learning. This study aims to develop an assessment model integrating formative assessment with Differentiated Instruction (DIFAM) to assess learning achievements proportionally. The DIFAM model was developed using the ADDIE development framework. The research sample consisted of 99 students from four high schools in Bandung Regency. Student learning profiles were analyzed using N-Gain and paired sample t-test. Data analysis was conducted with R Studio and JASP software. Data analysis using the N-Gain formula revealed an average improvement in student learning achievements of 25% with the implementation of DIFAM. The formative tests conducted over eight sessions showed that students grasped the material more effectively compared to conventional teaching methods. Feedback from students and teachers indicated that DIFAM facilitated more structured learning and provided constructive feedback, contributing significantly to enhanced student performance. The DIFAM model demonstrates its ability to cater to diverse student needs, achieve significant learning improvements, and has the potential for broader application to ensure more inclusive and equitable learning outcomes.

Abstract

The development of technology in motor vehicles, especially in improving engine performance, is increasingly developing. One of the technological developments is water methanol injection or often abbreviated as WMI, which is injecting water with methanol into the engine combustion chamber through the intake manifold. Methanol can be used by mixing it with fuel or used alone (pure methanol) and is able to produce more heat than fuel. High-quality fuel certainly comes with a high price tag. For that reason, cetane booster is one of the innovations to improve fuel quality. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Water Methanol Injection on power and torque in Diesel Engines. In addition, this study also analyzed the interaction of the WMI mixture with the addition of cetane booster. Testing was conducted using a four-wheeled motor vehicle with an Elf Long 2771 CC engine type, using Solar B30 fuel, with three variations of WMI percentage, namely 10%, 30%, and 50%, without cetane booster and with booster. Testing was carried out at 1500 to 2500 rpm with an increase of 500 rpm using a dyno test tool. Data processing was performed using Two-Way ANOVA, commonly known as 2-way ANOVA. The tests conducted were power and torque tests. The study results showed maximum results at 2500 rpm rotation power at a WMI percentage of 30% with the addition of 150ml booster, reaching 77.19 Hp and a torque of 234.43 Nm. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of a mixture of methanol and water has increased power and torque, although not significantly, while the addition of a 150ml booster has a major influence on the results of the power and torque tests.

Abstract

E-portfolios have increasingly been integrated into higher education to promote reflection, documentation, and learner autonomy; however, their effectiveness in English Language Teaching (ELT) in Indonesia remains insufficiently examined. This study evaluates the use of e-portfolio-based learning in an Evaluation in ELT course by employing the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) evaluation model. Four research questions guided the investigation, focusing on the relevance of the programme context, the adequacy of inputs, the implementation processes, and the resulting learning outcomes. Using a descriptive qualitative design, data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation of students’ e-portfolios. The participants consisted of one lecturer and thirty-seven seventh-semester students (ten males and twenty-seven females) enrolled in the course during the 2022/2023 academic year; additionally, three students were purposively selected for in-depth interviews. The findings indicate that (1) the context supported the adoption of e-portfolios as it aligned with course needs and learning objectives; (2) the input—including digital facilities, infrastructure, and access to online tools—was adequate for implementation; (3) the process showed active student engagement, although challenges such as connectivity issues, device limitations, and time constraints were present; and (4) the product demonstrated positive learning outcomes, including improved documentation practices, better understanding of course material, and increased digital literacy. The study underscores the potential of e-portfolios to enhance ELT learning and suggests the need for more structured feedback mechanisms and technical support to optimise future implementation.

Abstract

This study explores the recruitment and retention strategies for gifted students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds, as outlined by Donna Y. Ford in the book Multicultural Education: Issues and Perspectives, edited by James A. Banks and Cherry A. McGee Banks. The objective of this research is to evaluate fair and inclusive approaches in identifying and retaining students from historically underrepresented groups in gifted education programs. Employing a library research method and content analysis, this study reveals three main findings: (1) key recruitment barriers include unequal access to quality education, culturally biased assessment standards, and a lack of multicultural training for educators; (2) recruitment strategies must be systematic, inclusive, and culturally responsive; and (3) retention strategies require the implementation of multicultural education, supportive learning environments, and curriculum development that emphasizes diversity and equity. These findings highlight the necessity of integrated efforts among schools, educators, and policy makers to establish a gifted education system that is equitable and inclusive for all students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a conceptual model of organizational dynamics for environmentally oriented Islamic educational institutions grounded in Islamic ecotheology. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), publications from 2010 to 2025 were examined across major academic databases, including Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, Taylor & Francis, SAGE, DOAJ, SINTA, GARUDA, and Moraref. The review followed the PRISMA 2020 framework and resulted in the inclusion of 32 eligible articles. The findings reveal that ecological transformation within Islamic educational institutions relies on the coherence of four interrelated elements: the internalization of ecotheological values within institutional vision and strategy, prophetic-transformational leadership that drives organizational change, structural and policy frameworks that institutionalize sustainability principles, and a participatory organizational culture that cultivates an ecological habitus among institutional members. These elements interact dynamically to shape sustainable institutional practices. The proposed conceptual model contributes theoretically to the discourse on sustainable Islamic educational management and provides practical guidance for pesantren, madrasahs, and Islamic higher education institutions in their transition toward becoming Islamic Green Institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the level of women’s political participation in legislative elections, identify barriers, and analyze efforts to enhance participation in Setanggor Village, Sukamulia District, East Lombok Regency. Using a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods, data was collected through purposive sampling, involving election organizers, village officials, community leaders, and female voters. Semi-structured interviews, passive participation observation, and documentation were used for data collection. Miles and Huberman’s analysis model was applied, including data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that women’s political participation is limited to formal involvement, such as voting, without substantial political awareness. Internal barriers include low education, political literacy, low self-confidence, and domestic workload, while external barriers involve patriarchy, religious influence, limited access to information, and weak institutional support. However, community-based political education, strengthening women’s organizations, and inclusive policies can enhance participation.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital learning environments has encouraged schools to integrate e-learning into teaching practices. However, many vocational teachers still show uneven levels of adoption, indicating that the factors shaping their willingness and actual use of e-learning require deeper investigation. This study examines the determinants of vocational teachers’ e-learning adoption using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), focusing on the roles of perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), behavioral intention (BI), and actual use (AU). A quantitative survey was administered to 118 vocational high school teachers, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that PEOU significantly influences both PU and BI, while PU also exerts a positive effect on BI. Furthermore, BI demonstrates a strong and significant effect on AU, mediating the relationships between PU, PEOU, and AU. Overall, the model explains a substantial proportion of variance in teachers’ behavioral intention and actual use of e-learning. These results confirm the robustness of TAM in vocational education contexts and highlight that teachers are more likely to use e-learning when they perceive it as easy, useful, and aligned with their instructional needs. Practically, the study suggests that vocational schools should strengthen digital literacy training, provide technical support, and design user-friendly platforms to enhance teachers’ confidence and motivation. At the policy level, establishing clear digital competence standards may foster sustainable e-learning adoption across vocational institutions.

Abstract

This bibliometric study analyzed 309 Scopus-indexed documents (2007–2026) to examine research trends integrating Virtual Reality (VR), electric bicycle conversion, and vocational education. The study used a bibliometric approach to map scientific developments at the intersection of VR, e-mobility, and vocational education. Findings indicate that this field is rapidly developing, with an annual growth rate of 3.72% and a very young average document age (2.08 years). China, India, and the United States dominate publications, while Europe leads in international collaboration. Through thematic mapping, VR was identified as a key link bridging sustainability, transportation safety, and smart city technology. VR and electric vehicle development were among the Basic Themes, while transportation safety emerged as a Motor Theme with strong momentum. However, the analysis revealed a critical gap: the lack of engagement with vocational education and e-learning topics. The lack of exploration of VR as a training tool for electric bicycle conversion in vocational high schools suggests a broad research opportunity. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating immersive simulation and competency-based learning to prepare a skilled workforce in the future sustainable transportation sector.
