Abstract

ABSTRAKRobot adalah sebuah alat mekanik yang dapat melakukan tugas fisik, baik menggunakan pengawasan dan kontrol manusia, ataupun menggunakan program yang telah didefinisikan terlebih dulu. Robot humanoid adalah robot yang mempunyai karakteristik menyerupai manusia. Perancangan suatu robot humanoid yang memiliki kemampuan bergerak seperti manusia dan menjaga keseimbangan. Pada perancangan robot ini manggunakan  mikrokontroler ATmega 32 sebagai sistem kontrol pergerakan robot,  motor servo yang terletak disetiap persendian kaki untuk pergerakan robot dan untuk posisi robot berdiri ketika jatuh menggunakan sensor gyro. Robot ini memiliki kemampuan berjalan kedepan, belok kesamping kiri dan juga kekanan yang dikontrol oleh mikrokontroler ATmega 32. Pada prinsipnya, robot humanoid yang dirancang  hanya robot dapat berjalan dan menjaga keseimbangannya namun dalam penelitian ini robot dapat berjalan dengan pengontrol masing-masing  sudut dari motor servo dan robot berdiri ketika jatuh parameternya posisi kemiringan dari badan robot terhadap referensi sumbu X dan sumbu Y. Kata kunci : Robot  Hummanoid,  Mikrokontroler, motor servo,

Abstract

ABSTRACTLeather tanning industryproduced waste water contained of heavy metal Chrom that can be dangerous for the environment. One of the methods to remove Cr in  wastewater was used Extracellular Polymeric Substances (EPS) that extracted from the activated sludge. This research was done with used EPS that immobilized in epoxy resin as adsorbent and used artificial waste water with concentration of 15,9 ppm. This research was done in continuous and recirculation process with variable of pH 5, 6, 7 and the flows were 3, 5, 7 ml/min.  The result showed that the best adsorption happened in pH 5, the flowwere 3 ml/minwith the adsorption capacity was 6,382 mg/g EPS-epoxy and the removal efficiency was 89,2 %

Abstract

Abstract Electroplating industrial wastewater containing heavy metals that are harmful so that need treatment in order to minimize impact on the environment. Most industries treat their wastewater by coagulation - flocculation. It is easy in the processing but the cost and the resulting large amount of mud, especially in metal-based industries. The experiments were conducted in batches of 1 liter for 120 minutes, direct current of 5 A and a voltage of 3 V at current densities of 40, 50, 60, and 70 mA/cm2 and type electrode Aluminum and Iron. From the experimental values obtained electrocoagulation efficiency is 95% Ni and Cu were 98% in current density 70mA/cm. Comparison between electrocoagulation and coagulation do to get a new alternative technology in electroplating wastewater treatment. In terms of cost and processing electrocoagulation technique has many advantages than coagulation. Therefore the best treatment alternative selection is electrocoagulation

Abstract

ABSTRACTEnvironmental pollution that caused by electroplating waste disposal into the environment can cause harmful effects for human life. Before it is discharged into the environment need the method to treatment this waste. Electro coagulation is one of the wastewater treatment methods which are interchangeable to treat the electroplating industrial waste. This electroplating waste contain heavy metals such as chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni) and Copper (Cu). Electro coagulation experiments have been conducted with the independent variable which are the type of plate alumunium (Al) and Iron (Fe), and also Current density 40 mA/cm2, 50 mA/cm2, 60 mA/cm2 and 70 mA/cm2. This study uses a powerful current 5 Amperes, time operation 120 minutes, with the sampling time every 15 minutes, number of plate 4 pieces, 2 cm distance between electrodes. Based on experiments have been conducted that obtained best results at the highest current density removal efficiency of chromium allowance  99,60 % for using iron electrodes. Whereas for nickel removal, the best results at the highest current density removal efficiency of nickel allowance  96,20 % for using alumunium electrodes. Other measurements in this study that may affect the process of electro coagulation include pH, temperature, TSS, TDS and turbidity.

Abstract

ABSTRAKRadioisotop teknisium-99m (Tc99m) dipakai di bidang kedokteran nuklir dalam diagnosis jantung, otak, ginjal, hati, dan tulang untuk menemukan penyakit atau kelainan-kelainan yang ada di dalamnya. Radioisotop Tc99m diperoleh dari radioisotop induk Mo99.  Dalam proses pengambilan Mo99 dari target akan ditimbulkan limbah radioaktif yang mengandung campuran U235 sisa yang tidak terbakar, U238yang tidak teraktivasi netron dan radionuklida hasil belah. Limbah radioaktif ini memerlukan ekstraksi bertingkat untuk memisahkan antara uranium dan hasil belah. Salah satu hasil ekstraksi berupa rafinat yang mengandung uranium dan sedikit hasil belah. Limbah rafinat mengandung uranium sebesar 50 ppm. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengolah limbah uranium cair 50 ppmyang terdapat pada limbah rafinat menggunakan adsorben zeolit murni dan H-zeolit, serta solidifikasi menggunakan polimer epoksi.Dari penelitian ini didapat waktu kontak optimum penyerapan uranium 50 ppm oleh zeolit murni dan H-zeolit adalah pada 20 menit. Kemampuan serap optimum zeolit murni terhadap limbah uranium cair yaitu pada kondisi pH 5 sebesar 11,72 mg U per gram zeolit murni. Kemampuan serap optimum H-zeolit terhadap limbah uranium cair yaitu pada kondisi pH 5, sebesar 7,3 mg U per gram H-zeolit. Berdasarkan pertimbangan hasil uji densitas, kuat tekan, dan laju pelindihan maka hasil terbaik blok polimer – limbah terdapat pada kandungan limbah 20 %. Hasil uji karakteristik solidifikasi limbah uranium pada kandungan limbah 20 % yaitu menghasilkan nilai densitas sebesar 1,088 g/cm3,  kuat tekan sebesar 13,746 kN/cm2, dan laju pelindihan sebesar 7,8. 10-5 g. cm-2. hari-1.

Abstract

ABSTRACTLeather tannery industry waste water treatment research by coagulation flocculation and precipitation process has been carried out. The study aims to determine the treatment process with coagulant what is most optimum in removing the heavy metal content in leather tannery waste water, which includes coagulant lime, aluminum sulfate, and ferrous sulfate, and barium chloride, coagulant concentration, and pH optimum. Jar test result available optimum pH for coagulant lime at pH 8, for aluminum sulfate at pH 6, and for ferrous sulfate at pH 8. The optimum ratio of lime is 6,4; aluminum sulfate is 0,8; and ferrous sulfate is 0,48. The optimum concentration of barium chloride after treatment with lime, aluminum sulfate, and ferrous sulfate are 0,005; 0,043; and 0,005.

Abstract

ABSTRACTMany environmental pollution caused by the disposal of industrial waste directly discharged into the environment, it will cause damage to the environment. Waste oil sludge has not been processed further. The high oil content of waste oil sludge will cause soil pollution in the ecosystem.In this research, waste oil sludge from WWTP PT. Indofood CBP. This study uses the technique of bioremediation in reducing the rate of degradation of waste oil sludge PT. Indofood CBP. Characteristics that can be seen is a reduction in the levels of oil concentration in the waste oil sludge.In this research, the addition of polymeric Extracellulary Substances (EPS) is useful as a nutrient in the process biostimulation, while the addition of Simba Agri useful as additional microorganisms to support bioaugmentation  process. Extracellulary polymeric Substances (EPS) were added varying volume was 50 mL and 100 mL.

Abstract

Environmental problems such as pollution, destruction and disasters over the years is still ongoing and increasingly widespread. The condition not only causes environmental degradation but also a very serious impact on health and the human soul. Damage to the environment due to the soil / land also occurred in Waterford District C in the form of mineral mining (gravel). Mining is long overdue and is expanding. The existence of the mine excavation C has caused another problem in the form of accumulated waste material in gravel scattered around the place and the mining area. Starting from the above, it is necessary to think about how to take advantage of the rest of the mine rock gravel on aspalisasi activities. Step that needs to be done is to study the quality and characteristics of the asphalt mix by stacking materials using the gravel with reference to the specifications and requirements specified. This paper presents the results of research into the use of coarse aggregate gravel quarry C residue and fly ash filler in asphalt Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA) in terms of the relative strength coefficients (a1) material in order to know the needs of pavement thickness HRA in the field.Coarse aggregate materials used in the study came from the residual quarry village C Munggangsari / Purbosari excl. Ngadirejo kab. Waterford, fly ash material derived from PT Jati Kencana Concrete (Ungaran) and AC 60/70 bitumen production Pertamina Cilacap. Equipment used for the study is the means test in the asphalt mixture Materials Laboratory of Civil Engineering Department Semarang State Polytechnic. Number of test specimens to be used in this study is 30 pieces and the test is done with reference to the SNI 06-2489-1990, including the value of stability, flow and MQ, density analysis and voids (VMA, VFWA, VITM). The study results showed that the residual gravel excavation C can be used as a mixture in which the HRA asphalt mix asphalt with gravel aggregate quarrying C has a value of stability between the above 744, the value of a1 between 0.28 to 0.38 which means it can support the traffic with heavy density. Based on the results of plotting the data parameters to the requirements of Highways marshall, obtained the optimum bitumen content of 7%. While based on a mixture of the three variations of rock and ash content of different fly ash show that the levels of HRA mixture with 100% filler stone dust showed the highest value a1. This shows that the addition of aditive fly ash as filler in the mix HRA HRA instead lowered pavement performance.

Abstract

PT Inti General Yaja Steel Semarang is a company engaged in the metal industry, from the production activities produced waste iron slag in large quantities. On the other hand the availability of materials in the manufacture of paving blocks that are natural resources will over and can not be updated, this problem will be sought alternative replacement. The purpose of this study is the utilization of iron slag waste as a substitute of some fine aggregates in the manufacture of paving blocks, to find out the maximum compressive strength and the most efficient production cost among the mixture 1Pc : 6Ps (standard); 1Pc : 5Ps : 1Tb; 1Pc : 4Ps : 2Tb; 1Pc : 3Ps : 3Tb; 1Pc : 2Ps : 4Tb; 1Pc : 1Ps : 5Tb. Paving blocks made with size (21 x 10.5 x 6) cm. Based on the average 28-day estimate, standard paving blocks have a compressive strength of 204.09 kg/cm2, the maximum compressive strength is in the mixture of 1 PC: 3 PS: 3 TB of 335.28 kg/cm2, an increase of 64.28% of the standard paving block. While the minimum compressive strength is in the mixture of  PC: 1 PS: 5 TB of 95.89 kg/cm2, decreased 4.02% compared to standard paving blocks. When reviewed based on production costs, the standard paving block has a production cost of Rp 1.004,29. A mixture of 1 PC: 3 PS: 3 TB has a production cost of Rp 974,29 decreased 2.99% when compared to standard paving blocks. The most cost  fficient production mix is 1 PC: 1 PS: 5 TB of Rp 894,69. Abstract

Traffic accident is an event in which the unexpected and accidental, involve vehicles with or without other road users, resulting in loss of life or loss of property. The increasing number of vehicles as well as variation of the type and size of four or more wheeled vehicles of various dimensions and specifications of the vehicle, different speeds, driver behavior is not the same that would potentially cause symptoms that lead to the occurrence of traffic accidents on the freeway. This study aimed to determine the effect of the composition of vehicles in traffic flow on the highway accident rate in Surabaya-Gempol. Class composition of vehicles passing through the toll road will be analyzed influence on the rate of accidents (accident frequency = AF). This research is a study area toll roads Surabaya - Gempol that toll roads are divided into 2 lanes and 3 lanes. The method used in this study is the method of multiple linear regression analysis. Results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that only 1 of 4 linear regression model that showed that the variable composition of the vehicle has a significant effect on the frequency rate of accidents. While the other three regression models show the opposite result. This menunujukkan that improper linear regression model to predict the relationship between the independent variable composition with the vehicle accident rate on the highway Surabaya-Gempol.
