Abstract

Village development based on the principles of Good Governance emphasizes the importance of participation, transparency, and accountability in the development planning process, particularly through the Village Development Planning Meeting (Musyawarah Perencanaan Pembangunan Desa/Musrenbang) as a strategic forum for capturing community aspirations. Musrenbang is expected to produce infrastructure development plans that are responsive to community needs and aligned with the village’s fiscal capacity. However, in practice, gaps are often found between Musrenbang outcomes and development realization, indicating that the principles of Good Governance have not been optimally implemented in village governance. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of Good Governance-based Musrenbang outcomes on infrastructure development in Ranah Singkuang Village, Kampar District, in 2023. The research employs a qualitative approach using interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings show that out of more than 30 infrastructure proposals submitted through the 2023 Musrenbang, only three activities were realized in 2024. This condition is influenced by budget constraints, shifts in policy priorities, low community involvement in final decision-making, and weak transparency and accountability within the village government. These findings confirm that Musrenbang in Ranah Singkuang Village remains procedural rather than substantive, highlighting the need to strengthen Good Governance principles, particularly participation, transparency, and accountability. Keywords: Musrenbang, village development, infrastructure, community participation, good governance.

Abstract

There are about 15,000 to 20,000 orchid species around the world, spread across more than 900 genera. They come in many different shapes, sizes, and colors. This wide range of species makes it hard to tell them apart, especially for people who aren't experts. Bengkulu is one of the provinces on the island of Sumatra. It is known for its historical and cultural heritage as well as its rich biodiversity, especially its native plants like orchids. However, it is still hard to tell what they are. The identification process can be made better by using the breakthrough in artificial intelligence of the transformer. The goal of this study is to create an Android app that can use the Vision Transformer (ViT) architecture to identify five types of orchids: Bulbophyllum, Cymbidium, Dendrobium, Phalaenopsis, and Vanda. We used open-source libraries to collect data, which included 1,500 images that went through preprocessing steps. The experimental results show that the ViT-Base16 model with 25 epochs did the best job, getting an accuracy of 0.98 on the test dataset. However, it was hard to classify the genus Dendrobium in all trials because it had a lot of different shapes. The application testing gave good results, with scores of 81.13 for ease of use, 82.5 for accuracy, and 83.06 for usefulness. These results indicate that the application successfully aids in the identification of orchid genera, serving as a useful resource for both educational and practical applications

Abstract

Indonesia is geographically located in the Pacific Ring of Fire, making it a country with a high risk of natural disasters, especially tsunamis. Cilacap Regency, as one of the disaster-prone areas, has a low level of preparedness, thus requiring increased public knowledge about disaster risks. This study aims to improve the preparedness of educational units in facing tsunami disasters through educational media based on motion graphics animation. The method used is the development of ADDIE, which has five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, which is designed to increase understanding and awareness of the importance of disaster mitigation. The results of this study are an increase in students' response abilities in facing emergency situations, as evidenced by the average score of students' pre-test of 58.4, increasing to 82.6 in the post-test. The increase in the score of 24.2 points resulted in an N-Gain value of 0.58, which is in the moderate category, indicating that the use of educational animation media based on motion graphics is effective in increasing tsunami preparedness. Thus, this technology-based educational approach can be an innovative solution in supporting the Disaster Safe Education Unit (SPAB) program and creating a more disaster-resilient society.

Abstract

Hatch and carry is a breeding and distribution system for the primary pollinator of the oil palm, Elaeidobius kamerunicus. Information on the optimal distance for the Hatch and Carry application on pollination success and bunch productivity is still limited. This study aims to determine the effective distance of Hatch and Carry on fruit set and bunch weight in oil palm. The study used a quantitative method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), including Hatch and Carry distance treatments at radii of 10 m, 100 m, 200 m, 300 m, and 400 m, as well as assisted pollination techniques as a comparison. Data on fruit set and bunch weight were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) at the 95% confidence level, followed by the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the highest fruit set was observed at 10–200 m and was not significantly different, but decreased significantly at 300 m and 400 m. The same pattern also occurred for bunch weight, with the highest value at 100 m. The assisted pollination technique produces fruit set equivalent to the effective Hatch and Carry distance of 10–200 m. This study concluded that the effective distribution range of E. kamerunicus is within a radius of 200–300 m; thus, Hatch and Carry technology has the potential to be an efficient alternative for increasing oil palm productivity.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the legal protection available and to propose reconstruction of government regulations in legal protection for tourists in Mount Ciremai National Park in Indonesia based on the principles of justice. The methodology used was socio legal research analysis. The results showed that legal protection for tourists in Mount Ciremai National Park area was supported by Islamic law, specifically referenced in the Qur'an, Surah Al-Tawbah, verse 6, as well as by various Indonesian laws and regulations. These included Law on Tourism, Kuningan Regency Regional Regulation on Tourism Implementation, Majalengka Regency Regional Regulation on Tourism Implementation, and Law on Consumer Protection. Furthermore, the proposed reconstruction of government regulations included the inclusion of a new article in Law on Tourism. This article would hold tourism entrepreneurs legally accountable for any losses resulting from the negligence of service personnel or deficiencies in infrastructure at tourist attractions. The research outlined two key discoveries where regulations governing tourism were established under existing tourism laws. Although these laws provided legal protection for tourists, the regulations did not address compensation for losses caused by the mismanagement of tourist attractions. The inclusion of these provisions would significantly enhance the legal framework for safeguarding tourists.

Abstract

This study investigates the magnetic characteristics and mineral composition of rocks in the Rammang-Rammang Karst area, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, to clarify lithological variability and its implications for local magnetic anomalies. A total of 25 rock samples collected from field sampling points were analysed using a Bartington Susceptibility Meter, while five samples were further examined with a Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM), X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). The magnetic susceptibility values range from –0.6 to 10.5 m³/kg, indicating a predominance of diamagnetic behaviour with minor contributions from paramagnetic and antiferromagnetic minerals. Hysteresis curve analysis from VSM confirmed the consistency between magnetic responses and susceptibility measurements. XRF results show that Ca dominates the rocks (>95%), with minor amounts of Fe, Ti, Si, Mn, Cu, Sr, Mo, In, and Co, as well as trace amounts of rare-earth elements (Lu, Eu). XRD analysis confirmed calcite (CaCO₃) as the principal mineral phase, with crystallite sizes ranging from 39 to 44 nm, and the presence of dolomite in sample T18. The spatial distribution of magnetic susceptibility indicates that most of the study area exhibits low and negative values, reflecting diamagnetic behaviour. Whereas the highest value occurs at sampling point T12, which localizes the highest-susceptibility area, marked in red. These results indicate that the magnetic variability of Rammang-Rammang rocks is controlled by minor accessory magnetic minerals, providing valuable insights for mineral exploration and mitigating local magnetic anomalies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of tourist motivation and perceived quality on tourist loyalty, with tourist satisfaction as a mediating variable at the Tanjung Karang sustainable tourism destination in Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi. The research approach used is a quantitative explanatory approach, with a population of all tourists visiting the Tanjung Karang destination during the period of July–September 2025. The research sample consisted of 70 respondents, determined through a purposive sampling technique. While data analysis used Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of this study found that perceived quality was proven to be the main determinant of tourist satisfaction. This result emphasizes the importance of improving facilities, cleanliness, and local community services. Tourist satisfaction has a direct influence on loyalty, confirming that positive experiences are the basis for forming revisit intentions. Tourist motivation did not have a significant effect on satisfaction or loyalty, indicating that psychological drives are not strong enough without the support of good service quality. Satisfaction was proven to mediate the influence of motivation and perceived quality on loyalty, according to the expectation-confirmation theoretical framework and the Motivation–Satisfaction–Loyalty model.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescents remain vulnerable to HIV due to gaps in knowledge, attitudes, and digital health engagement. Cognitive, attitudinal, and digital factors may influence preventive behaviors, yet their combined effects remain underexplored, particularly as adolescents increasingly interact with AI-driven platforms that shape health information access. Objective: This study aimed to examine the associations of HIV literacy, HIV sensitivity, AI openness, and chatbot choice with HIV preventive behaviors among adolescents. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 910 senior high school and vocational students in Sleman Regency, Indonesia. Participants completed a validated questionnaire assessing HIV preventive behavior (low vs. high) and four predictors: HIV literacy, chatbot choice, AI openness, and HIV sensitivity. Chi-square tests were used to assess bivariate associations. Multivariate logistic regression identified independent predictors, with odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) reported. Results: Bivariate analyses showed that higher HIV literacy, greater HIV sensitivity, increased AI openness, and active chatbot choice were significantly associated with high-level HIV preventive behavior (all p < 0.001). Multivariate logistic regression confirmed all variables as significant independent predictors: HIV literacy (OR = 1.18, 95% CI: 1.12–1.24), chatbot choice (OR = 1.10, 95% CI: 1.05–1.16), AI openness (OR = 1.08, 95% CI: 1.02–1.14), and HIV sensitivity (OR = 1.10, 95% CI: 1.04–1.16). The model explained a meaningful proportion of variance in preventive behavior (Nagelkerke R² = 0.234). Conclusion: HIV literacy, HIV sensitivity, and engagement with AI-based digital tools significantly predict adolescents’ HIV preventive behaviors. Interventions that enhance knowledge, strengthen attitudes, and promote informed digital decision-making may reinforce HIV prevention efforts among adolescents.
