Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of tourist motivation and perceived quality on tourist loyalty, with tourist satisfaction as a mediating variable at the Tanjung Karang sustainable tourism destination in Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi. The research approach used is a quantitative explanatory approach, with a population of all tourists visiting the Tanjung Karang destination during the period of July–September 2025. The research sample consisted of 70 respondents, determined through a purposive sampling technique. While data analysis used Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of this study found that perceived quality was proven to be the main determinant of tourist satisfaction. This result emphasizes the importance of improving facilities, cleanliness, and local community services. Tourist satisfaction has a direct influence on loyalty, confirming that positive experiences are the basis for forming revisit intentions. Tourist motivation did not have a significant effect on satisfaction or loyalty, indicating that psychological drives are not strong enough without the support of good service quality. Satisfaction was proven to mediate the influence of motivation and perceived quality on loyalty, according to the expectation-confirmation theoretical framework and the Motivation–Satisfaction–Loyalty model.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescents remain vulnerable to HIV due to gaps in knowledge, attitudes, and digital health engagement. Cognitive, attitudinal, and digital factors may influence preventive behaviors, yet their combined effects remain underexplored, particularly as adolescents increasingly interact with AI-driven platforms that shape health information access. Objective: This study aimed to examine the associations of HIV literacy, HIV sensitivity, AI openness, and chatbot choice with HIV preventive behaviors among adolescents. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 910 senior high school and vocational students in Sleman Regency, Indonesia. Participants completed a validated questionnaire assessing HIV preventive behavior (low vs. high) and four predictors: HIV literacy, chatbot choice, AI openness, and HIV sensitivity. Chi-square tests were used to assess bivariate associations. Multivariate logistic regression identified independent predictors, with odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) reported. Results: Bivariate analyses showed that higher HIV literacy, greater HIV sensitivity, increased AI openness, and active chatbot choice were significantly associated with high-level HIV preventive behavior (all p < 0.001). Multivariate logistic regression confirmed all variables as significant independent predictors: HIV literacy (OR = 1.18, 95% CI: 1.12–1.24), chatbot choice (OR = 1.10, 95% CI: 1.05–1.16), AI openness (OR = 1.08, 95% CI: 1.02–1.14), and HIV sensitivity (OR = 1.10, 95% CI: 1.04–1.16). The model explained a meaningful proportion of variance in preventive behavior (Nagelkerke R² = 0.234). Conclusion: HIV literacy, HIV sensitivity, and engagement with AI-based digital tools significantly predict adolescents’ HIV preventive behaviors. Interventions that enhance knowledge, strengthen attitudes, and promote informed digital decision-making may reinforce HIV prevention efforts among adolescents.

Abstract

Background: Iron deficiency anemia remains a common public health problem among adolescent girls, negatively impacting physical development, cognitive performance, and productivity. Although iron supplementation programs have been widely implemented, compliance with iron tablet consumption is still suboptimal. Objective: This study aims to identify factors associated with compliance with iron consumption among adolescent girls, including knowledge of anemia symptoms, exposure to information about anemia, exposure to information about iron tablets, adolescent girls' perceptions of the impact of anemia on pregnancy and childbirth, acceptance of iron tablets, and parental awareness of the iron tablet program, and parental support for adolescent girls. Methods: This study is a cross-sectional survey study conducted from June to August 2024 in Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, involving 384 adolescent girls selected using stratified random sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the chi-square test and logistic regression. Results: Bivariate analysis showed a significant association between adherence and acceptance of iron consumption (p = 0.000), parental awareness (p = 0.020), perception of the impact of anemia (p = 0.014), exposure to information about anemia (p = 0.040), and iron tablets (p = 0.029). Logistic regression revealed that the main predictors of adherence included acceptance of iron supplements (OR = 3.911; 95% CI: 1.938–8.218), parental awareness (OR = 1.925; 95% CI: 1.068–3.471), perception of the impact of anemia (OR = 1.742; 95% CI: 1.138–2.669), and exposure to information about iron tablets (OR = 1.633; 95% CI: 1.062-2.510). Conclusion: Although exposure to information was not statistically significant in multivariate analysis, it showed a positive trend. These findings highlight the importance of increasing adolescent acceptance, improving perception of the consequences of anemia, and increasing parental involvement to support iron supplementation adherence.

Abstract

Tourism policy is a manifestation of the integration of public policy and tourism sector development strategies oriented towards community welfare and environmental sustainability. In the context of Bengkalis Regency, the tourism sector is a selected government affair with strategic potential to increase Regional Original Income (PAD) and strengthen the region's image. The purpose of this study is to examine the tourism policy applied to the development of Lapin Beach and the factors influencing it. Tourism, as a strategic sector, requires appropriate government policies to improve community welfare while strengthening the attractiveness of tourist destinations. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants came from the Bengkalis Regency Tourism Office, the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), NGOs, and local communities. The collected data was then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to illustrate the political realities of tourism policy in the field. The research results show that Lapin Beach development policies still face several obstacles, including budget constraints, lack of community participation, weak promotion, and suboptimal tourism infrastructure. Although the government acts as a facilitator, the dominance of local elites and minimal community involvement have led to unequal benefits. Therefore, policy transparency, increased community participation, and protection of socio-ecological aspects are essential to realizing inclusive and sustainable tourism development in North Rupat District, Bengkalis Regency. Abstract

Village development based on the principles of Good Governance emphasizes the importance of participation, transparency, and accountability in the development planning process, particularly through the Village Development Planning Meeting (Musyawarah Perencanaan Pembangunan Desa/Musrenbang) as a strategic forum for capturing community aspirations. Musrenbang is expected to produce infrastructure development plans that are responsive to community needs and aligned with the village’s fiscal capacity. However, in practice, gaps are often found between Musrenbang outcomes and development realization, indicating that the principles of Good Governance have not been optimally implemented in village governance. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of Good Governance-based Musrenbang outcomes on infrastructure development in Ranah Singkuang Village, Kampar District, in 2023. The research employs a qualitative approach using interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings show that out of more than 30 infrastructure proposals submitted through the 2023 Musrenbang, only three activities were realized in 2024. This condition is influenced by budget constraints, shifts in policy priorities, low community involvement in final decision-making, and weak transparency and accountability within the village government. These findings confirm that Musrenbang in Ranah Singkuang Village remains procedural rather than substantive, highlighting the need to strengthen Good Governance principles, particularly participation, transparency, and accountability. Keywords: Musrenbang, village development, infrastructure, community participation, good governance.

Abstract

The issue of waste management at the village level has become a significant challenge in achieving a clean and sustainable environment. Tumang Village, Siak Subdistrict, Siak Regency, faces an increasing volume of waste due to population growth and low community awareness in sorting and managing household waste. As a solution, the Tumang Village Government initiated an innovation in waste management through the establishment of the Lestari Waste Bank in collaboration with SD Negeri 10 Tumang, the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK), and the community. This program is an implementation of Siak Regency Regional Regulation Number 11 of 2012 on Waste Management Guidelines and Village Regulation Number 02 of 2021 on Waste Management and Environmental Cleanliness, aiming to raise environmental awareness and provide economic benefits to the community. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. Primary data were obtained from the Village Head, Waste Bank administrators, PKK members, teachers, and residents, while secondary data came from official village documents, activity reports, and relevant scientific literature. Data analysis was carried out through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, using Everett M. Rogers’ Diffusion of Innovation Theory as the analytical framework. The results indicate that the waste management innovation in Tumang Village successfully increased community awareness of environmental cleanliness, strengthened mutual cooperation, and provided economic benefits through recycling activities. Although there are still challenges such as limited facilities and consistency of community participation, the program has proven effective in encouraging social behavior change and serves as a good practice example in realizing the “Green Siak” vision toward sustainable environmental governance. Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategic management of the Riau Province Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP) in increasing investment in Riau Province in 2023-2024. The research problem is motivated by the suboptimal realization of investment and the uneven distribution of investment, despite investment achievements showing a fluctuating trend over the past four years. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and literature review, then analyzed using Wheelen and Hunger's strategic management theory, which includes environmental analysis, strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and evaluation and control. The results show that during the environmental analysis stage, the DPMPTSP has identified investment opportunities and challenges, but the integration of regional potential data is still suboptimal. The strategic management of the Riau Province DPMPTSP in increasing investment has been quite effective, but requires strengthening in aspects of promotion, data integration, and institutional capacity building to achieve equitable and sustainable investment.
