Abstract

Floods are one of the most frequent disasters that hit Indonesia, especially North Aceh District. Flood is a disaster that causes a lot of loss in the form of property and lives, disrupting the activities of the population. Therefore, flood disaster mitigation is important to be carried out by the government by involving the community to reduce the impact of flood disasters that occur so that this can reduce the number of flood risks. One of the efforts made by the government is a cooperative relationship between the government and the community to obtain optimal results. In reviewing flood mitigation efforts, a qualitative approach was carried out with research procedures that produced descriptive data. This descriptive data can be sourced from the local community and observable community behavior. Data collection was carried out by means of in-depth interviews. The results of the analysis show that there has been a flood mitigation effort from the government in the Krueng Keureuto area in the form of the current dam construction and cooperation with the community which is called community participation. This is done by inviting the community to be able to carry out flood disaster mitigation plans. Mitigation planning activities involving the community are carried out by studying and discussing things that might happen before the flood occurs, emergency response during the flood and post-flood recovery. Therefore, disaster mitigation is needed both structurally and non-structurally.

Abstract

The parenting system has a significant influence on children’s development, especially in Islamic Education, which emphasizes discipline and responsibility. This study aims to analyze the differences in parenting systems between urban and rural communities and their impact on children’s Islamic Education. A quantitative approach with descriptive survey method was used in this study, involving 40 participants, consisting of 20 urban and 20 rural parents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using statistical test, including normality test and Mann-Whitney U test. The result showed that there was no significant difference between parenting in urban and rural communities. Although there are differences in methods, such as the use of technology in urban areas and extended family involvement in rural areas. The overall of communication and parental involvement in supporting children’s religious education in both urban and rural settings.

Abstract

Mathematical representation is a fundamental ability to develop students' thinking skills. But in reality, this ability is still low. The investigation aims to ascertain the impact of CPA-based articulated storyline multimedia on the Mathematical Representation Abilities (MRA) of elementary school students. The research uses CPA-based articulate storyline multimedia in learning activities. A type of experimental research with pre-experimental designs, one group pretest-posttest. 44 pupils from one of Karawang Regency's elementary schools in West Java made up the sample. Data were obtained through MRA tests in the form of descriptions, students' daily journals, interviews, and photo documentation of research activities. The MRA test questions used were valid and reliable. Based on Guilford's criteria, the results of the test validity and reliability calculation are in the high category (Retrieved from zero point eighty-four). Descriptive data analysis was conducted by finding the simple linear regression equation and the coefficient of determination. Inferential data analysis was performed with a t-test. Descriptive results showed that using CPA-based multimedia articulated storyline affected the Mathematical Representation ability (MRA) of elementary school students. Based on hypothesis testing, it is known that CPA-based articulate storyline multimedia significantly affects the mathematical representation skills of elementary school pupils. The implication from research is that multimedia articulate storylines based on CPA represent alternatives for enhancing elementary school pupils' mathematical representation ability in learning two-dimensional mathematics.

Abstract

The intensity of online learning impacts students' self-confidence in solving problems, their ability to interact with other people, and even their achievements. This study aims to examine the correlation between self-efficacy, social skills, and students’ grade point average (GPA) through a correlational method with an explanatory design and using questionnaires and interview sheets. The sample was taken randomly, totaling 55 students of the elementary school teacher education program at one of the state universities in Purwakarta, Indonesia. The findings show a correlation between student self-efficacy and the Grade Point Average; there is a correlation between social skills and GPA. When self-efficacy and social skills separately increase, the GPA will increase and vice versa. In addition, there is no correlation between student self-efficacy and social skills. Moreover, there is no correlation between self-efficacy and social skills simultaneously with the GPA. When self-efficacy and social skills increased, it was not confident that the GPA would increase. Self-efficacy and social skills have an impact on one's achievement. Therefore, the interactive and easily accessible online learning development is needed. Abstrak: Intensitas pembelajaran online memberi dampak pada keyakinan diri mahasiswa dalam memecahkan masalah, kemampuanya dalam berinteraksi dengan orang lain, bahkan prestasinya. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengkaji hubungan antara efikasi diri, keterampilan sosial, dan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) siswa melalui metode korelasional dengan desain eksplanatori dan menggunakan instrumen angket dan lembar wawancara. Sampel diambil secara acak yang berjumlah 55 mahasiswa program studi pendidikan guru sekolah dasar di salah satu perguruan tinggi negeri di Purwakarta, Indonesia. Temuan menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara self-efficacy mahasiswa dengan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif, adanya hubungan antara keterampilan sosial mahasiswa dengan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif, sehingga ketika self-efficacy dan keterampilan sosial mahasiswa secara terpisah meningkat maka indeks prestasi kumulatif mahasiswa akan meningkat dan sebaliknya. Selain itu tidak adanya hubungan antara self-efficacy mahasiswa dengan keterampilan sosial sehingga ketika self-efficacy meningkat atau menurun maka tidak dapat dipastikan keterampilan akan menunjukkan hasil yang sama. Serta ditemukan tidak adanya hubungan antara self-efficacy dan keterampilan sosial secara bersamaan dengan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif mahasiswa. Self-efficacy dan keterampilan sosial berdampak pada prestasi seseorang. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan pembelajaran online interaktif dan akses mudah diperlukan.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low mathematical connection ability of the first-grade students’ at SDN 6 Nagrikaler. Cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament type is one model that can be applied to improve students’ mathematical connection abilities through games, tournaments, and group collaboration. This study aims to determine the initial conditions of students’ mathematical connection abilities, teacher and student activities during learning, and to determine the increase in students’ mathematical connection abilities after applying cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament type. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) using the Kemmis and Taggart designs for 2 cycles, which contain aspects of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 29 students. The research instruments used were observation sheets and tests. The results showed an increase in teacher activity and student learning activity when applying cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament type. In first cycle, teacher activity reached an average percentage of 64.28% and increased in second cycle to 78.57%. Student learning activities in first cycle reached an average percentage of 67.50% and increased in second cycle to 82.50%. Students’ mathematical connection ability also increases. The results of the students’ mathematical connection ability test before implementing cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament type obtained an average score of 59.31. In first cycle, the average class value was 69.65 and increased in second cycle to 83.44. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament type can be an alternative to increase students’ mathematical connection abilities. Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of mathematical understanding among elementary school students. Mathematical understanding is crucial for students as it helps them interpret and solve both mathematical problems and everyday issues. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence and effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, assisted by Scratch, on improving the mathematical understanding of elementary school students. The research method employed is a quasi-experiment using the Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 40 fifth-grade students from a state elementary school in a district of Purwakarta, with 20 students in class VA and 20 students in class VB. Class VA served as the experimental group, using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Scratch, while class VB used conventional teaching methods. The results indicate that the PBL model, when assisted by Scratch, improved students mathematical understanding by 33.3%. Additionally, students who learned with the PBL model assisted by Scratch demonstrated better mathematical understanding compared to those who learned using conventional methods. Therefore, the PBL model can be considered an effective alternative for enhancing mathematical understanding skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji instrumen tes membaca pemahaman siswa kelas 6 MI Miftahul Ulum yang dirancang berdasarkan Taksonomi Barret dan mengevaluasi kualitasnya menggunakan perangkat lunak Anates. Taksonomi Barret membagi kemampuan pemahaman membaca menjadi lima kategori seperti, literal, reorganisasi, inferensial, evaluasi, dan apresiasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D), meliputi pengembangan instrumen, pengujian pada siswa, serta analisis validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembeda soal. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa kelas 6 MI Miftahul Ulum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen tes terdiri dari lima soal dengan tingkat kesukaran bervariasi, dua soal masuk kategori mudah dan tiga soal kategori sedang. Dari segi validitas, tiga soal dinyatakan valid, sementara dua soal memerlukan perbaikan. Reliabilitas tes berada pada kategori tinggi yang menunjukkan konsistensi yang baik. Analisis daya pembeda mengungkap bahwa dua soal berada dalam kategori cukup, dua soal dalam kategori baik, dan satu soal termasuk sangat baik. Dengan mengintegrasikan Taksonomi Barret sebagai dasar perancangan dan penggunaan Anates untuk analisis, hasil penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mendalam mengenai efektivitas instrumen tes. Instrumen tes yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa secara efektif, meskipun beberapa soal perlu revisi untuk meningkatkan kualitasnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas butir soal yang disusun oleh guru untuk mengukur pemahaman siswa kelas 1 SD pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan program Anates yang membantu mengevaluasi validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, dan efektivitas pengecoh dari setiap butir soal. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 1 SD di salah satu sekolah dasar di wilayah Bekasi tepatnya di SDN Sumurbatu 1 berjumlah 30 siswa. Data diperoleh melalui hasil tes yang terdiri dari sejumlah 5 butir soal uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar butir soal memiliki tingkat kesukaran dari mudah hingga sedang, daya pembeda yang baik, dan pengecoh yang efektif. Selain itu, validitas dan reliabilitas tes secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori baik, menunjukkan bahwa instrumen tes ini dapat diandalkan untuk mengukur pemahaman siswa. Rekomendasi, beberapa soal memerlukan revisi untuk meningkatkan kualitasnya yaitu dengan meningkatkan kesukaran dalam setiap butir soal. Soal yang tidak mengalami revisi sudah dapat digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi untuk mengukur pemahaman siswa. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi guru dalam menyusun dan mengevaluasi soal untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran serta pemahaman siswa pada materi dasar matematika.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis representasi matematis, membuat indikator representasi matematis yang tepat, dan menilai kemampuan representasi matematis dengan materi bangun datar yang valid. Dalam proses pengembangan instrumen matematika, ada lima soal uraian atau esai. Pengembangan terdiri dari kegiatan untuk merencanakan ujian, membuat bagian isi soal, dan memverifikasi isi. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan instrumen yang sesuai guna meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep bangun datar serta konsep matematika melalui representasi visual, simbolik, dan verbal, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa dalam geometri dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 22 siswa kelas 5 SD sebagai sampel. Hasil analisis menunjukkan tingkat validitas dan reliabilitas yang tinggi yang menandakan instrumen tersebut efektif dalam menilai kemampuan siswa. Meski demikian, terdapat kendala pada beberapa soal yang kurang jelas dalam indikator visualnya, sehingga ilustrasi tambahan dan penyempurnaan kalimat soal diperlukan untuk memudahkan pemahaman siswa. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini mengindentifikasikan bahwa pengembangan instrumen representasi matematis yang valid sangat penting untuk mendukung pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep dasar matematika, khususnya pada bangun datar.

Abstract

Evaluasi pembelajaran memiliki peranan yang sangat penting dalam menilai sejauh mana tujuan pembelajaran tercapai dan perkembangan kompetensi siswa. Salah satu elemen utama dalam evaluasi adalah soal, yang berfungsi sebagai instrumen untuk mengukur pemahaman siswa. Namun, pembuatan soal yang valid dan reliabel, terutama soal uraian, sering kali menghadapi tantangan, terutama dalam hal penilaian yang bersifat subjektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas soal uraian dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak ANATES melalui evaluasi aspek validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesulitan, dan daya pembeda soal. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan data hasil tes siswa sebagai objek analisis. Penelitian ini mengikuti tahapan model pengembangan 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Pada tahap Define, peneliti menetapkan parameter analisis utama, seperti validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda, dan tingkat kesulitan. Tahap Design melibatkan perancangan soal berdasarkan kisi-kisi yang telah disusun, dilanjutkan dengan proses judgment expert untuk memastikan kesesuaian soal dengan kompetensi yang diukur. Tahap Develop mencakup uji coba soal kepada siswa dan analisis data menggunakan ANATES untuk mendapatkan validitas, reliabilitas, dan revisi soal berdasarkan hasil uji coba. Hasil akhir pada tahap Disseminate menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar soal memiliki validitas dan reliabilitas yang baik, meskipun beberapa soal dengan daya pembeda rendah perlu diperbaiki. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa perangkat lunak ANATES dapat memberikan umpan balik berbasis data yang objektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas soal tes. Dengan analisis yang mendalam, pendidik dapat merancang soal evaluasi yang lebih efektif dan akurat dalam mengukur kompetensi siswa, sehingga mendukung peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran secara keseluruhan.
