Abstract

ABSTRACT Coconut fruit processing produces by-products in the form of coconut pulp. Coconut pulp organic waste has a high fiber content that can benefit the body when consumed. So far, coconut pulp is only used as animal feed with very low product prices. The high amount of fiber content and the potential for protein and fat, provide opportunities for waste dregs to be developed into processed products. One of the efforts that can be done is to optimize the use of organic waste of coconut pulp into flour as raw material for making bread through community service activities. The problem faced by partners is the lack of information obtained by the community about making coconut pulp flour which can be used as a substitute for wheat flour for other food products.   The solution to this problem is to provide training and guidance on making coconut pulp flour and its processed products. This service aims to improve the skills of mothers by utilizing their potential and the potential of available natural resources optimally, in an effort to increase economic income. This training is the use of coconut pulp into flour for mothers in Talia Village, Abeli District, Kendari City. This method of service uses lectures, discussions and demonstrations. This training was attended by mothers in Talia Village, Abeli District. The results of the training obtained by the mothers of Talia Village can make bread from coconut pulp with various flavors. The training greatly supports the improvement of participants' skills and knowledge. During the training, all mothers enthusiastically participated in the course of activities and actively discussed both ways. Participants understand and can practice the technique of processing coconut pulp into raw materials for making bread and can be a business opportunity. Abstract

The banking industry is under pressure to integrate sustainability practices while maintaining profitability. This research aims to examine the impact of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Disclosure, Leverage (Debt-to-Equity Ratio/DER), and firm SIZE (SIZE) on financial performance (Return on Assets/ROA) in publicly-owned banks KBMI 3 and 4 during the period of 2019 ~ 2023, as well as the moderating role of Credit Quality (Non-Performing Loan/NPL). Data from five years across eight banks were analyzed using random and fixed-effects regression. The main results indicate that ESG Disclosure and DER have a significant positive direct effect on ROA, while SIZE has a negative effect. NPL has been proven to strengthen the relationship between ESG-ROA and DER-ROA confirming that good credit risk management enhances the benefits of sustainability strategies and funding but does not moderate the influence of company SIZE. This moderation model demonstrates a strong capacity to account for variation in ROA, highlighting the crucial synergy between ESG practices and credit risk management in enhancing bank performance

Abstract

This paper proposes a single-phase shunt active filter (ShAF) combined with photovoltaic (PV) to enhance power quality performance by reducing source current harmonics and compensating for reactive power in a single-phase 220-Volt distribution system with a frequency of 50 Hz connected to a non-linear load. The PV panel consists of several PV modules with a maximum power of 600 W each. An adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) controls the voltage in the DC link capacitor circuit in the ShAF. This method is proposed to overcome the weakness of the Fuzzy Sugeno method in neural-network-based learning capabilities to determine the fuzzy rules of the input membership functions (MFs) and the weakness of the proportional-integral (PI) control in determining proportional and integral constants using trial and error method. The single-phase system is connected to a non-linear load with a combination, i.e. without ShAF, using ShAF, and using ShAF-PV, respectively, with a total of seven cases. Based on the three proposed control methods and model configurations, the ShAF-PV circuit with ANFIS control is able to result in the best performance because it is able to produce the lowest source current THD. The single-phase system using ShAF-PV with ANFIS control is also capable of injecting the largest reactive power compared to the ShAF and ShAF configurations with PI and Fuzzy-Sugeno control. The increase in reactive power in the ShAF-PV is further able to compensate for the reactive power, so it is able to suppress and reduce the source reactive power significantly.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia, especially Islamic education, has not been sufficient to form a humanist personality and is still primordialistic and sectarian in character. This study aims to show the values of humanistic Islamic education in the thought of Ahmad Syafii Maarif’s. This research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis using library research, and in-depth interviews. This research shows that the essence of education in Ahmad Syafii Maarif's perspective is the process of humanization (a process that liberates and humanizes humans) which directly has an organic link with the spiritual-transcendental dimension. In Ahmad Syafii Maarif's thought, it is found that the values of humanistic Islamic education can be summarized in six points, namely: the value of egalitarianism, the value of tolerance, the value of pluralism, the value of justice, the value of universal brotherhood, and the value of peace or non-violence. The results of this study are expected in addition to increasing the wealth of intellectual treasures in the study of the thought of figures in the field of Islamic education, but also can be considered in developing a more humanistic educational foundation and practice.

Abstract

Since the early 1990s, the complexity of ERP systems has posed a challenge for practitioners, but the amount of empirical research exploring new ERP projects has increased over the past ten years. The progress of information technology (IT) has been disrupted by the emergence of new trending and rapidly evolving topics, causing the focus of information systems (IS) research to continuously shift to new issues before the theory or normative knowledge for existing topics is fully developed. The situation occurring in ERP research reflects a problem hindering the progress of the IS discipline: widespread dissatisfaction with the delay between the practical issues faced by practitioners and the normative knowledge generated by academic research. Using ERP as an example, this paper presents two main arguments: (a) IT-based innovations can be addressed by recognizing the important patterns behind each emerging IT phenomenon; and (b) once these important patterns are recognized, a complementary logic between variance- and process-oriented lessons can be proposed, which benefits the advancement of the ERP research model and provides relevant and timely practical lessons.
