Abstract

This study aims to improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills through the implementation of a cooperative learning model using the Power of Two method on the topic of linear equations and inequalities in one variable. The subjects of this study were 36 eighth-grade students from class VIII2 at SMP Negeri 11 Pekanbaru. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments used in this study included instructional tools and a mathematical problem-solving ability test (KPMM). The instructional tools consisted of teaching modules, student worksheets (LKS), and formative tests. Data were collected through the KPMM tests and observation sheets documenting the activities of both students and the teacher. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive narrative and statistical techniques. The results of the study indicated that the implementation of the Power of Two method was effective in improving the quality of the learning process and enhancing students' mathematical problem-solving skills. In the first cycle, 2 students achieved scores in the "very good" category, 5 in the "good" category, and 4 in the "fair" category. In the second cycle, there was a significant improvement: 26 students achieved "very good" scores, 10 were in the "good" category, and none were categorized as "fair." This indicates that by the second cycle, students had become accustomed to using the cooperative learning model with the Power of Two method in solving mathematical problems. In conclusion, the implementation of the cooperative learning model using the Power of Two method has been proven to improve the learning process and enhance the mathematical problem-solving abilities of Phase D students in class VIII2 at SMP Negeri 11 Pekanbaru during the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

Asesmen dalam pembelajaran matematika harus dapat mengukur kemampuan matematis yang diharapkan dimiliki peserta didik, salah satunya yaitu kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Namun bentuk penilaian yang ada saat ini cenderung berfokus pada penilaian kompetensi kognitif peserta didik dan mengabaikan dimensi penting lain dari pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kebutuhan dalam mengembangkan instrumen asesmen untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik fase D pada konten pengukuran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan awal dengan metode mengadopsi langkah define pada model pengembangan 4D. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 orang guru matematika dan 15 orang peserta didik SMP di Pekanbaru. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah penyebaran angket kepada guru dan pemberian soal pada peserta didik. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa diperlukan adanya pengembangan instrumen asesmen yang dapat mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik fase D pada konten pengukuran. Assessment in mathematics learning should be able to measure the mathematical abilities that students are expected to possess, one of which is mathematical communication skills. Nevertheless, the prevailing forms of assessment tend to focus primarily on evaluating students’ cognitive competencies, while overlooking other important dimensions of learning. The purpose of this study is to analyze the needs in developing assessment instruments to measure students’ mathematical communication skills of Phase D in the context of measurement. This research is kind of preliminary development research and the method adopts the define stage of the 4D development model. The research subjects consisted of 20 mathematics teachers and 15 junior high school students in Pekanbaru. The research instruments used were teacher questionnaires and test items to students. The results of this study indicate the necessity of developing assessment instruments that are able to measure the mathematical communication skills of Phase D students in measurement content.

Abstract

Poverty in Indonesia requires precise analysis based on socio-economic indicators. This study develops classification models using Naïve Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The primary focus is addressing class imbalance through the SMOTE technique. Utilizing 2021 BPS data from 515 regencies, the research incorporates 13 indicators, including education and infrastructure. Models were evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score across multiple data-split scenarios. Results indicate that SMOTE significantly enhances Naïve Bayes and KNN performance in identifying minority classes by reducing data bias. Conversely, SVM maintained consistent performance across all scenarios without SMOTE, attributed to its robust margin-based separation mechanism against distribution shifts. Overall, integrating SMOTE with machine learning algorithms improves classification reliability. This provides a crucial data-driven foundation for the government to formulate more targeted and equitable poverty alleviation policies across Indonesia, ensuring resources are allocated to the regions that need them most.

Abstract

Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan modul ajar topik relasi dan fungsi berbasis pendekatan kontekstual untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model 4-D, yaitu define, design, development, dan disseminate. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa Kelas IXa dan IXb SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru. Jenis data pada penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif.  Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi modul ajar dan lembar praktikalitas. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini diambil dari hasil wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, angket validasi, angket praktikalitas. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah analisis kevalidan dan analisis kepraktisan. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validasi oleh 3 validator terhadap modul ajar adalah 88,60% dengan kriteria sangat valid, artinya modul ajar layak digunakan, skor LKPD adalah 87,78% dengan kriteria sangat valid artinya LKPD sudah layak diujicobakan, dan skor asesmen adalah 87,73% dengan kriteria sangat valid, artinya asesmen sudah layak diujicobakan kesiswa. Hasil angket respon guru terhadap modul ajar adalah 91,16% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Uji coba hasil angket respon siswa pada uji coba kecil terhadap LKPD dengan nilai 89,65%, sementara uji coba lapangan terhadap LKPD adalah 89,41% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Simpulan: Modul ajar yang dikembangkan dapat menjadi alternatif perangkat pembelajaran yang layak digunakan guru untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada topik relasi dan fungsi.

Abstract

Keterbatasan ruang kelas menjadi permasalahan krusial yang dihadapi banyak madrasah ibtidaiyah seiring meningkatnya jumlah peserta didik yang tidak sebanding dengan ketersediaan fasilitas fisik. Kondisi tersebut menuntut adanya pengelolaan sarana prasarana yang terencana dan adaptif agar proses pembelajaran tetap berlangsung secara efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen sarana prasarana yang meliputi perencanaan, pemanfaatan, dan pemeliharaan dalam mengatasi keterbatasan ruang kelas di MIS Al-Khairiyah Sinar Banten. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala madrasah, kepala tata usaha, dan guru, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterbatasan ruang kelas dapat diatasi melalui perencanaan berbasis kebutuhan, optimalisasi pemanfaatan ruang melalui sistem pembelajaran shift, serta pemeliharaan fasilitas yang dilakukan secara rutin dan partisipatif. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan ilmu manajemen pendidikan dengan memberikan bukti empiris bahwa integrasi perencanaan, pemanfaatan, dan pemeliharaan sarana prasarana dapat menjadi strategi solutif dan berkelanjutan dalam mengatasi keterbatasan ruang kelas pada madrasah ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

Berpikir aljabar merupakan kemampuan berpikir matematika yang harus dimiliki peserta didik dalam memecahkan permasalahan matematika, namun kemampuan berpikir aljabar peserta didik masih tergolong rendah. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis problem solving pada materi SPLDV yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis dengan harapan dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan berpikir aljabar peserta didik. Model pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu model ADDIE. Sebanyak dua belas orang peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru menjadi subyek dalam penelitian ini. Instrumen pada penelitian ini berupa lembar validasi untuk mengukur validitas dan angket respon peserta didik untuk mengukur kepraktisan. Dengan analisis data berupa deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran yang valid dengan kriteria kevalidan sebesar 3,54 pada silabus dengan kategori sangat valid, 3,44 pada RPP dengan kategori sangat valid dan 3,47 pada LKPD dengan kategori sangat valid dan memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan dengan persentase 86,98% kategori sangat praktis. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis problem solving dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan berpikir aljabar peserta didik

Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze the potential use of AI at the pre-drafting stage of law, as well as formulate an initial model of AI integration as an initial testing mechanism for proposed regulations before being included in the National Legislation Program (Prolegnas) and Regional Legislation Program (Prolegda). The study offers novelty through the concept of AI-Legislation, an artificial intelligence-based system designed to automatically and predictively test the feasibility of legal substance before entering the regulatory drafting stage. This research uses a juridical-normative approach that is developed in a reflective-critical manner. Primary data is obtained through laws and regulations, judicial decisions, as well as Prolegnas and Prolegda documents. Meanwhile, secondary data is in the form of scientific articles (journals), books, and other literature materials. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive-critical with a framework analysis approach to build a conceptual framework of AI-Legislation in three layers, namely automatic analysis, policy prediction, and institutional integration. The research findings show that AI can help in mapping regulatory needs, detecting legal conflicts, and harmonizing norms with greater precision. AI-Legislation fundamentally shows a paradigm shift from the classical legislative model to smart-modern legislation. AI implementation faces challenges in terms of digital infrastructure readiness, technological literacy among government officials, and legal validity of AI recommendations. Therefore, the study recommends the integration of the AI testing phase as an initial requirement in the legislative planning process, as well as the need to establish national governance and regulations governing the use of AI in the legislative regulatory development cycle.

Abstract

This study is to investigate how Islamic Religious Education instructors at SMP Negeri 24 Tanjung Jabung Timur can mold students' personalities using the Discovery Learning learning methodology. The research methodology for this study is qualitative deductive. Information about the learning of Islamic Religious Education and the development of students' character was gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion-making based on the data obtained are among the data analysis methodologies employed in this study. According to the study's findings, the Islamic Religious Education instructors at SMP Negeri 24 Tanjung Jabung Timur employed the following strategies: 1. There were methods for planning, carrying out, and overseeing instruction. 2. The practice of reading Sholawat before taking classes. 3. Teachers invited students to participate in after-school programs. It is proposed that for students to develop their character, parents, teachers, and the administrator must work together as much as possible. It is intended that more studies concentrating on how student organization shapes student character will be conducted

Abstract

Implementasi Deep Learning (DL) yang baru dicanangkan pada 2025 masih membutuhkan waktu karena kendala pemahaman prinsip serta ketidaksesuaian perangkat pembelajaran. Untuk mempercepat penerapannya, diperlukan pendampingan guru dalam penguatan pemahaman dan penyusunan perangkat. Di UPTD Dinas Pendidikan Kecamatan Minas, DL masih pada tahap sosialisasi dan belum optimal akibat keterbatasan kompetensi guru. Menanggapi hal tersebut, Tim PKM Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika bekerja sama dengan Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Siak menyelenggarakan workshop pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran bagi 26 guru dari 16 SD. Hasilnya menunjukkan kemampuan peserta berada pada kategori baik dan respon terhadap kegiatan sangat baik.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low levels of student engagement, critical thinking skills, and learning outcomes in Mathematics among fifth-grade students at SDN Belitung Selatan 2 Banjarmasin. These issues stem from students’ limited critical thinking abilities, low participation during lessons, and the use of instructional methods that are neither engaging nor enjoyable. To address these challenges, the BERSAMA learning model was implemented. The objectives of this research are to: (1) improve students’ learning activity; (2) enhance critical thinking skills; and (3) analyze learning outcomes following the application of the BERSAMA model. A qualitative approach was employed using Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted over four sessions. The study involved 20 students during the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through observations of teacher and student activity, assessments of students' critical thinking skills, and both individual and group learning outcomes tests. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques and presented in tables and graphs with percentages. The results showed significant improvement: teacher activity scores increased from 21 (“Good”) to 27 (“Very Good”); student activity rose from 50% (“Few Students Active”) to 100% (“All Students Highly Active”); critical thinking skills improved from 45% (“Few Students Skilled”) to 100% (“All Students Highly Skilled”); and learning mastery increased from 40% (“Few Students Performed Well”) to 90% (“Most Students Performed Very Well”). The study concludes that the BERSAMA model is effective in enhancing teacher and student activity, critical thinking skills, and learning outcomes in Mathematics. The findings recommend the BERSAMA model as an innovative teaching strategy for teachers, school administrators, and elementary education researchers.
