Abstract

This study examines changes in students’ perceptions and technology acceptance in science education following the implementation of Canva in a school characterized by limited digital access. Grounded in the TAM, the research positions perception as a mediating construct linking digital media use to learning experience quality within a digital divide context. A descriptive pre–post survey design was employed involving 41 seventh and eighth-grade students at a public junior secondary school. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire administered before and after the integration of Canva into science instruction. Descriptive statistical analysis was conducted to compare mean scores across the two measurement phases. The findings indicate a substantial positive shift in students’ perceptions after the implementation of Canva, particularly in perceived usefulness, perceived understanding of abstract concepts, and affective engagement. These results suggest that exposure to structured visual and multimodal learning materials may enhance students’ acceptance of educational technology, especially in contexts where prior access to digital tools is limited. The study contributes theoretically by extending discussions on perception and technology acceptance within underrepresented educational settings affected by the digital divide. Methodologically, it demonstrates the relevance of pre–post descriptive approaches for capturing perceptual shifts in small-scale contexts. However, the study is limited by its reliance on self-reported data and the absence of inferential statistical testing. Future research is recommended to employ longitudinal or quasi-experimental designs and to integrate measures of academic achievement to better understand the long-term impact of digital media implementation in science education.

Abstract

Abstrak   Penelitian ini mengevaluasi nilai Overall Thermal Transfer Value (OTTV) pada Gedung Perkuliahan Teknik Industri Universitas Malikussaleh sesuai SNI 6389-2020. Perhitungan menunjukkan nilai OTTV eksisting sebesar 39,94 W/m², melebihi batas maksimum 35 W/m². Berbagai modifikasi dilakukan pada variabel OTTV, meliputi warna cat (α), isolasi dinding luar (Uw), kaca ganda (Uf), rasio luas jendela-dinding (WWR), dan spesifikasi kaca (SC). Hasil terbaik diperoleh pada modifikasi spesifikasi kaca Cool Lite ST 108 Neutral 6 mm, yang menurunkan nilai OTTV menjadi 21,89 W/m² atau berkurang 45,19% dari kondisi eksisting. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa pemilihan material selubung bangunan yang tepat sangat berpengaruh terhadap efisiensi energi dan kenyamanan termal, serta dapat dijadikan acuan dalam penerapan bangunan hemat energi di Indonesia.   Kata kunci: OTTV, efesiensi energi, bangunan gedung, kenyamanan termal.       Abstract   This study evaluates the Overall Thermal Transfer Value (OTTV) of the Industrial Engineering Lecture Building at Universitas Malikussaleh in accordance with SNI 6389-2020. The analysis shows that the existing OTTV value is 39.94 W/m², exceeding the maximum limit of 35 W/m². Several OTTV variables were modified, including wall color (α), wall insulation (Uw), double glazing (Uf), window-to-wall ratio (WWR), and glass specifications (SC). The most effective result was achieved with Cool Lite ST 108 Neutral 6 mm glass, reducing the OTTV to 21.89 W/m² or a 45.19% decrease from the existing condition. These findings demonstrate that proper selection of building envelope materials significantly improves energy efficiency and thermal comfort, providing valuable insights for the application of energy-efficient building design in Indonesia.   Keywords: OTTV, energy efficiency, building envelope, thermal comfort

Abstract

This study examines the influence of the principal's transformational leadership style on teacher performance in senior high schools in Merangin Regency with teacher work motivation and job satisfaction as intervening variables and tenure as moderating variable, using a quantitative explanatory survey approach and PLS-SEM analysis (SmartPLS 3.2.9) on a sample of 537 teachers (98.70% response). The results of the hypothesis testing indicate that transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on teacher job satisfaction (β=0.248; p=0.000), teacher work motivation (β=0.690; p=0.000), and teacher performance directly (β=0.282; p=0.000). Teacher work motivation has a very strong effect on teacher performance (β=0.502; p=0.000) and on teacher job satisfaction (β=0.656; p=0.000), while teacher job satisfaction has no significant effect on teacher performance (β=0.083; p=0.105). Teacher job satisfaction was not proven to be a mediator (β=0.021; p=0.117), nor was the mediation chain of motivation → satisfaction → performance (β=0.038; p=0.125). However, teacher work motivation became a strong partial mediator (indirect effect=0.346), so that the total effect of transformational leadership on teacher performance reached 0.628 (62.8%). Teacher tenure was not significant as a moderator. These findings confirm that transformational leadership improves teacher performance primarily through work motivation, so it is recommended to strengthen the dimensions of transformational leadership and strategies to increase teacher motivation for the Merangin Regency Education Office and MKKS to improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the alignment of the academic information system at Jambi University (UNJA) using the Zachman Framework and to examine the Enterprise Maturity Level in the implementation of Enterprise Architecture within the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) of Jambi University. The study applies Enterprise Architecture Planning (EAP) as a reference method for developing information architecture. EAP is oriented toward business needs and consists of data architecture, application architecture, technology architecture, and an implementation plan. In addition, the Zachman Framework is used to assess alignment from three enterprise architecture functions: context, concept, and construction. The value chain profile of the academic information system business process is also identified and analyzed. The study found a value chain profile within the business processes of Jambi University’s Academic Information System (SIAKAD). The mapping results based on the Zachman Framework reveal the condition of each business component and provide a basis for evaluating the maturity level of Enterprise Architecture implementation in the system. This study provides recommendations for the future development of each business component of Jambi University’s Academic Information System based on the Zachman Framework. The findings contribute to improving the alignment of information systems with business needs and support the achievement of the university’s mission through better enterprise architecture planning.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease with a steadily increasing prevalence both globally and nationally. In addition to physical factors, chronic psychological stress plays a significant role in increasing blood glucose levels through metabolic imbalance. However, practical, accessible, and independently applicable stress management interventions are still limited. Emotional journaling has the potential to be a simple, low-cost, non-pharmacological intervention alternative in controlling DM risk factors. This study aims to analyze the effect of emotional journaling-based stress management as a risk factor control measure for DM. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test approach without a control group, involving 43 respondents over 18 years of age. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with certain inclusion criteria. The intervention consisted of stress management skills based on emotional journaling, with skills measured using a checklist before and after the intervention. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test to determine differences in skills before and after the intervention. The analysis results showed a significant increase in skills after the intervention (p<0.000). These findings confirm that stress management based on emotional journal writing has a positive influence and strategic potential in controlling DM risk factors effectively, easily implemented, at low cost, and sustainably based on community empowerment.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat saat ini memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap cara kerja manusia, khususnya dalam sistem informasi di lingkungan perusahaan. Pemanfaatan komputer menjadi sarana penting dalam meningkatkan efektivitas dan ketepatan kerja, terutama dalam proses pengolahan data serta penyampaian informasi yang akurat dan cepat. PT. EXPRA Manokwari merupakan perusahaan jasa konstruksi yang menangani berbagai proyek di wilayah Trans Papua, Wasior, dan Tambrauw. Namun, dalam kiriman pemesanan logistik proyek, perusahaan ini masih menggunakan sistem konvensional yang dilakukan secara manual. Proses tersebut sering menimbulkan berbagai kendala, seperti keterlambatan dalam pengajuan permintaan, kesalahan dalam data pencatan, serta kurangnya ketepatan dalam penyampaian informasi kepada pihak terkait. Permasalahan tersebut menyebabkan proses pengelolaan logistik kurang efektif dan berpotensi menghambat kelancaran pelaksanaan proyek di lapangan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun aplikasi sistem pemesanan logistik proyek berbasis web guna meningkan kepenuhan, keakuratan, serta transparansi dalam proses permintaan logistik. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Air terjun yang meliputi tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, pengembangan perangkat lunak, hingga tahap sistem pengujian. Aplikasi yang dikembangkan menyediakan fitur pengajuan permintaan logistik oleh pelaksana lapangan, proses validasi oleh admin, serta akses laporan oleh pimpin yang dapat diekspor dalam format PDF maupun Excel. Dengan adanya sistem ini diharapkan proses pengelolaan logistik proyek di PT. EXPRA Manokwari dapat berjalan lebih terstruktur, efisien, responsif, dan terintegrasi sehingga mampu mendukung peningkatan kinerja perusahaan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas perencanaan pembangunan daerah serta keterkaitannya dengan kesejahteraan masyarakat di Kota Parepare. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif-analitis melalui analisis dokumen Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Daerah (RPJMD), wawancara mendalam dengan pemangku kepentingan, serta studi dokumentasi dan observasi lapangan. Data dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña serta teknik analisis isi untuk mengidentifikasi pola hubungan antara perencanaan, implementasi, dan capaian pembangunan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas dokumen RPJMD secara struktural telah memenuhi ketentuan formal, namun masih lemah dalam perumusan indikator kinerja yang terukur serta konsistensi antara tujuan, sasaran, dan program. Proses penyusunan RPJMD telah melibatkan berbagai aktor, tetapi partisipasi masyarakat masih bersifat formal dan belum substantif. Selain itu, ditemukan adanya ketidaksesuaian antara perencanaan dan implementasi akibat keterbatasan sumber daya, dinamika kebijakan, serta lemahnya koordinasi lintas sektor dan kapasitas kelembagaan. Dari sisi outcome, pembangunan daerah menunjukkan tren positif terhadap peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat, seperti peningkatan Indeks Pembangunan Manusia dan penurunan tingkat kemiskinan. Namun, manfaat pembangunan belum sepenuhnya merata, terutama dalam akses terhadap peluang ekonomi dan layanan publik. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kualitas perencanaan pembangunan memiliki peran penting, tetapi efektivitasnya sangat bergantung pada kapasitas kelembagaan, konsistensi implementasi, dan partisipasi masyarakat yang bermakna. Temuan ini berkontribusi pada penguatan literatur pembangunan daerah dengan menekankan pentingnya integrasi antara perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi kebijakan berbasis bukti.

Abstract

Transient stability is a crucial aspect of power systems that determines the system’s ability to maintain synchronization after experiencing a sudden major disturbance. This study analyzes the response of the IEEE 30-Bus system to the scenario of tripping one of the two generators at the 1st second, simulated using the Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP 21). The system was modeled with two generators, where Generator 1 acts as the swing generator and Generator 2 as the voltage control generator, supported by 21 loads and two motors controlled by PWM and VFD. The case study focused on the disconnection of Generator 1, with system frequency response observed from the 1st to the 30th second. Results showed that system frequency dropped from 50 Hz to 49.4 Hz, then increased and stabilized at 49.7 Hz (99.4% of the initial condition) due to the inertia and governor action of the remaining generator. These findings highlight the importance of software-based transient studies in understanding the dynamic characteristics of power systems and in designing effective mitigation strategies

Abstract

This study aims to describe the leadership strategy of the head of administration in supporting administrative services at SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi. The research focuses on leadership strategies, the administrative service process, obstacles encountered, and efforts to improve service quality. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation with informants consisting of the head of administration, administrative staff, principals, teachers, and students. The results indicate that leadership strategies are implemented through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages, supported by a clear division of tasks, the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the use of information technology. Administrative services are running quite well, although there are still challenges such as limited human resources, infrastructure, and technical barriers. Efforts undertaken include optimizing the division of tasks, improving coordination, and developing staff competencies. Thus, leadership strategies play a crucial role in improving the effectiveness of administrative services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance of the Head of the Administration Subdivision and Administrative Staff at SMA Negeri 6 Jambi City, identify obstacles that affect performance, and examine strategies implemented to overcome existing obstacles to support the effectiveness of school administrative services.: This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data in this study were obtained through observation, interviews, and document studies. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions by means of source triangulation and technical triangulation to ensure data validity. The results of the study indicate that the performance of the Head of the Administration Subdivision at SMA Negeri 6 Jambi City is in the very good category based on indicators of work quality, work quantity, timeliness, effectiveness of resource utilization, need for supervision, and personal integrity. Meanwhile, the performance of the Administrative Staff at SMA Negeri 6 Jambi City is in the fairly good to good category, although there are several aspects that need to be improved, especially in the aspects of time discipline, technology utilization, and archiving systems. The novelty of this study lies in the integrated analysis of administrative performance, as well as strategies to overcome obstacles and improve the effectiveness of school administrative services.
