Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of ambient air pollution exposure on the prevalence of acute respiratory infections (ARI) among outdoor workers. Given the increasing urban air pollution levels in Indonesia, outdoor laborers such as street vendors, construction workers, and traffic police represent a vulnerable population with prolonged exposure to hazardous air pollutants. A cross-sectional observational study was conducted among 300 outdoor workers in three urban areas with varying pollution levels. Air quality data, including concentrations of particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), were obtained from local monitoring stations. Health outcomes were assessed through standardized questionnaires on respiratory symptoms and medical history, alongside clinical examinations conducted by health professionals. Logistic regression analysis was applied to evaluate the association between exposure levels and ARI prevalence, controlling for confounders such as age, smoking habits, and socioeconomic status. The study revealed a significantly higher prevalence of ARI among outdoor workers in high-pollution areas compared to those in lower-pollution regions (37.2% vs. 18.9%; p < 0.01). Logistic regression analysis indicated that exposure to elevated PM2.5 levels was strongly associated with increased risk of ARI (OR = 2.41, 95% CI: 1.52–3.82). Smoking and low socioeconomic status were also identified as contributing risk factors, though air pollution remained the strongest predictor. Air pollution substantially elevates the risk of ARI among outdoor workers. These findings highlight the urgent need for targeted occupational health interventions, improved air quality policies, and the provision of personal protective measures to safeguard vulnerable populations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using interactive learning media based on wordwall in increasing the learning motivation of junior high school students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental (non-equivalent control group design) with a quantitative approach. The population is all 30 students in grade VII. The sample used is grade VII students consisting of two classes, namely class VII A as an experimental class consisting of 15 people and class VII B as a control class consisting of 15 people. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling. The data collection techniques consist of questionnaires, observation and documentation. As well as data analysis using prerequisite tests namely normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test (t test). Data were obtained through pretest and posttest questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that student learning motivation in the experimental class after the use of wordwall media was 14 students or 94% who had very high motivation criteria and 1 student or 6% who had high motivation criteria. Meanwhile, in the control class that used picture media, there were 5 students or 33% who had very high motivation criteria and 10 students or 67% who had high motivation criteria. After that, the average value of the pretest questionnaire in the experimental class was 69.47 and the control class was 59.73. While the results of the posttest questionnaire showed an average of 89.73 for the experimental class and 80.40 for the control class. Based on the results of the posttest questionnaire in the experimental and control classes, it can be seen that the value of the experimental class questionnaire is greater than the value of the questionnaire in the control class, namely 89.73>80.40. So it can be concluded that the use of interactive learning media based on wordwall is more effective in increasing student learning motivation and can be shown from the results of the t-test which obtained a significance value of 0.000<0.05 which means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.

Abstract

This article examines how liturgy can function as a prophetic voice that challenges the growing influence of consumerism within the life of the church. Recognizing that worship is never theologically or socially neutral, this study highlights the significance of simplicity as a core value that guides believers back to the essence of true worship. Employing a library research method, the study explores literature on liturgical theology, Christian ethics, and social analyses of consumerism’s impact. Through a hermeneutical approach, various theological insights are synthesized to formulate an understanding of prophetic liturgy rooted in simplicity. The discussion reveals that simple yet meaningful liturgical practices serve as a form of faith-based critique toward materialistic lifestyles, while nurturing an ethical consciousness that encourages believers to live with greater sensitivity, justice, and responsibility. The findings affirm that prophetic liturgy grounded in simplicity offers a relevant model for renewing worship amid the pressures of a consumer-driven culture.

Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that remains a major public health problem in Indonesia. The prevalence of hypertension among adults aged 18 years and over reaches 34.1%, with most cases being asymptomatic yet potentially leading to serious complications such as stroke, kidney failure, and heart disease. This situation underscores the need for effective health education to control risk factors by improving patient adherence to antihypertensive medication and a low-salt diet. Objective: This community service activity aimed to improve patients’ knowledge, awareness, and adherence to antihypertensive therapy and the implementation of a low-salt diet to maintain optimal blood pressure control. Method: The program was carried out in the Internal Medicine Ward of RSUD Jayapura using direct health education and outreach methods with printed leaflets as educational media. This approach was chosen because it enables practical, clear, and direct communication of health information to patients and families. Leaflets also allow patients to review the material independently at home. Result: The results showed a notable increase in patients’ and families’ understanding after participating in the educational activity. Post-education assessments indicated improved knowledge and awareness regarding medication adherence and dietary salt restriction. The leaflet proved to be an effective, easy-to-understand, and practical educational medium for supporting sustainable health promotion among hypertensive patients. Conclusion: Health education through printed leaflets can effectively increase patient knowledge and adherence to antihypertensive medication and a low-salt diet. This medium supports healthcare workers in delivering consistent and continuous patient education for better hypertension management outcomes.

As a result, many SMEs face the risk of bankruptcy. Therefore, this research aims to determine the influence of Sharia financial literacy and Sharia financial inclusion on the sustainability of small and medium enterprises in Bandung Raya. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach, the sampling technique used purposive sampling by considering respondents from SMEs in Bandung Raya that had been established for more than one year and were still actively running businesses. The data analysis technique was carried out using Partial Least Square with the Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). The test results show that Sharia financial literacy has a positive effect on business sustainability and financial inclusion has a positive effect on business sustainability in Bandung Raya. These findings add to the literature and present implications for stakeholders to initiate programs that support the sustainability of SME businesses.
