Abstract

This article aims to comprehensively analyze and elaborate on the crucial role of marketing management and educational information systems (IS) in improving the quality and operational efficiency of educational institutions in the digital era. The primary objective is to present a conceptual framework that integrates these two disciplines to achieve more effective and sustainable educational goals. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through library research. Data were collected from various academic literature sources discussing marketing management, information systems, and educational management. Data analysis techniques were conducted descriptively by synthesizing and interpreting information to build arguments and conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the synergy between educational marketing management and IS is fundamental. Strategic marketing management requires accurate data from IS to identify market needs, develop relevant programs, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Conversely, IS provides the technological infrastructure to manage student, staff, curriculum, and financial data, all of which support marketing decisions. This integration enables educational institutions to respond to market dynamics, increase accountability, and achieve competitive advantage through optimal use of data and technology.

Abstract

The phenomenon of statelessness is a serious challenge for national and international legal systems, especially when a country's constitution is unable to guarantee effective protection of the right to nationality. This article aims to explore the tension between constitutional sovereignty and international obligations in addressing statelessness, as well as analyze how domestic legal frameworks can be reformulated to be more inclusive. Using a normative legal method and a comparative approach, this study examines three jurisdictions—Indonesia, Myanmar, and Latvia—and identifies three patterns of state failure: legitimized legal exclusion, transitional ambiguity, and administrative neglect. The findings suggest that constitutions should be positioned as dynamic legal instruments capable of internalizing international human rights principles, rather than mere expressions of state sovereignty. Through a transformative constitutionalism approach, this article emphasizes the importance of citizenship law reform involving the establishment of independent adjudicative mechanisms and the harmonization of legislation with international conventions. The main contribution of this research is the development of a typological model of state failure and the formulation of a multilevel reform agenda as a foundation for the formulation of more just and accountable legal policies for stateless individuals.

Abstract

The aim of this community service is to train the readiness of the community and academic community of Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya in facing disasters in Indonesia. The implementation method took place on May 6, 2024, at the Nutrition Department of Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya, involving 100 participants, including lecturers, students, and local residents. The training utilized interactive methods such as discussions, role play, and disaster simulations to enhance participants' understanding and engagement. The outcomes showed a significant improvement in disaster nutrition management skills in the Surabaya region. Participants not only gained theoretical knowledge of disaster nutrition but also practical skills applicable in real-life situations. Recommendations from this initiative include enhancing the provision of more in-depth training materials, using advanced technology for simulations, and improving logistical support for smoother implementation of future activities. This community service significantly contributes to enhancing the readiness of Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya and strengthening community resilience to disasters in Indonesia. For future community service activities, it is recommended to conduct more comprehensive implementations and involve a wider range of participants.

Abstract

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the elderly, mainly due to unhealthy diets and metabolic risk factors such as hypertension and diabetes. This nutrition education and dietary consultation program aims to increase the understanding and change of behavior of the elderly in implementing a healthy diet to prevent heart disease. The activity was held for one month in Gubeng District, Surabaya, involving 125 seniors, lecturers, and students. Intervention methods include interactive education, simulations, and personalized nutrition consultations. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in knowledge scores, changes in positive attitudes, and adoption of a healthier diet based on statistical analysis of the Paired t-Test and Wilcoxon Test (p < 0.05). Knowledge Improvement: The average knowledge score increased from 65.2 ± 10.1 to 82.7 ± 8.5, reflecting an increase of 26.9% (p < 0.05). Improved Attitudes: 85% of participants switched to a more positive outlook on adopting a heart-healthy diet, with the Likert scale rating increasing from 3.2 ± 0.8 to 4.5 ± 0.6 (p < 0.05).  This program effectively improves dietary knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors among the elderly in Gubeng Regency. The sustainability of the program is advised through technology-based education and family involvement to improve the quality of life of the elderly sustainably.

Abstract

This study, conducted at the Surabaya POTADS Foundation, aims to identify the determinants of resilience in mothers with children who have Down syndrome. Acknowledging the unique challenges posed by raising a child with Down syndrome, this research focuses on the mother's resilience, given their often close relationship with the child. The study employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach, using questionnaires as the primary data collection tool. Ten mothers, selected through purposive sampling, participated in the study. The variables examined included individual factors, family factors, community factors, risk factors, and resilience. The data were analyzed using logistic regression statistical tests. The simultaneous test (F test) revealed that the combined independent variables (individual, family, community, and risk) do not significantly affect the resilience of the mothers (F calculated = 2.930 < F table 4.53, Sig = 0.135 > 0.05), leading to the rejection of the hypothesis (H_1). Similarly, the partial test (T test) indicated that none of these independent variables individually exert a significant impact on resilience, with all p-values exceeding 0.05. This lack of influence was attributed to factors such as low cognitive function, inadequate coping strategies, low locus of control, negative self-concept, absence of family support, and low social skills. The study highlights the complex interplay of various factors in shaping resilience among mothers of children with Down syndrome.

Abstract

Monitoring the quality of shrimp pond water is crucial for shrimp growth, with salinity being one of the most significant parameters. Currently, salinity sensors for pond water are designed for momentary measurements, which are unsuitable for continuous monitoring. This study introduces a method for continuous salinity measurement using ultrasonic signals. The proposed approach utilizes a measuring chamber equipped with ultrasonic sensors to determine the Time-of-Flight (ToF). To ensure accuracy, four ToF methods were compared, with the cross-correlation method identified as the most accurate. This method was subsequently used to calculate the ToF, which was then applied to determine the acoustic speed. Since the acoustic speed in water is influenced by salinity, temperature, and pressure, changes in salinity cause detectable changes in the acoustic speed. The acoustic speed was further used as input for the modified Del Grosso equation to derive the salinity. Experimental results showed an average error of 4.83% for saline solutions and 1.81% for shrimp pond water. These findings demonstrate that the proposed method provides sufficient accuracy for water salinity measurement.

Abstract

LAZnas Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) Indonesia, sejak tahun 2024 telah berubah nama menjadi LAZ Energi Kebaikan Rokan. Menjadi lembaga pengelola zakat yang menerapkan digitaliasi dalam pengelolaan zakat. Lembaga ini memiliki berbagai program unggulan, dan salah satunya adalah ekonomi produktif. Program ekonomi produktif ini merupakan program yang dilaksanakan berupa program bantuan akses modal berupa pemberian pinjaman modal dan pendampingan usaha kepada masyarakat dhuafa. Bantuan akses modal diberikan kepada Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah ( UMKM) yang sudah berjalan tetapi mengalami kekurangan modal atau masyarakat yang ingin memulai usaha mikro dengan akad pemberian modal qordhul hasan atau pinjaman tanpa bunga. Sementara itu, sistem pembinaannya berupa pendampingan oleh fasilitator, pembinaan secara mandiri melalui visit ke lokasi usaha, pembinaan kelompok melalui pertemuan bersama, dan pemberian edukasi menabung untuk penerima manfaat. Namun dalam pelakanaannya LAZ energi kebaikan menghadapi beberapa kendala dalam menyiapkan model program pembinaan UMKM. diantaranya adalah kendala terkait kemampuan tim fasilitator dalam pendampingan bagi UMKM dan cara mengubah mindset mitra binaannya. Selain kedua kendala tersebut, terdapat kendala lain dalam melakukan pembinaan terhadap UMKM antara lain: 1) Pendidikan dan kompetensi UMKM masih berada pada kategori rendah, ini berakibat kualitas produk yang dihasilkan tidak konsisten. 2) Belum memiliki pengetahuan manajemen usaha yang baik. 3) Pelaku UMKM masih perlu memahami pentingnya strategi meningkatkan daya saing usaha agar usaha yang ada dapat mengalami kemajuan secara berkelanjutan. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah: 1) Memberikan konsep dan pemahaman bahwa strategi itu sangat penting agar produk yang ada mampu memiliki daya saing di pasar; 2) Memberikan bekal pengetahuan tentang manajemen pengelolaan usaha kepada para pelaku UMKM agar kinerja usahanya meningkat; dan 3) Memberikan pengetahuan pentingnya desain produk agar memiliki daya saing di pasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses internalisasi Profil Siswa Pancasila melalui pembelajaran Muatan Lokal di SDN 33 Lampe Kota Bima. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru kelas V dan siswa kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji kredibilitas, dan triangulasi baik triangulasi sumber maupun triangulasi teknik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan internalisasi menggunakan tiga tahapan yaitu tahap transformasi nilai, transaksi nilai, dan transinternalisasi nilai-nilai Profil Siswa Pancasila melalui pembelajaran seni budaya. Penerapan ini dilakukan sebagai bentuk upaya pencegahan dampak globalisasi dan mencapai salah satu misi dan tujuan sekolah, yaitu terwujudnya siswa yang mencintai budaya Indonesia dan berkarakter sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the patterns of science integration in Islamic universities in Indonesia and the development models. This study used qualitative method, the data source consists of informants and documentation, as well as data collection techniques carried out through in-depth interviews, participant observation, focus group discussions and documentation review. As results, the application of science integration patterns in several Islamic universities turns out to be different, based on different understanding of the concept of science integration and local socio-cultural settings, according to the their respective established backgrounds. The State Islamic University (UIN) generally applies integration, not Islamization, by combining Islamic science and general science. This is stated in the vision and mission of higher education. As for practice, the implementation of science integration is applied to the faculty through direct policy from the university. In general, Islamic universities in Indonesia have already had a philosophical paradigm, by carrying out a distinctive concept of science integration. In the elaboration aspect of the integration paradigm, it is reflected in the applied curriculum. However, from the explanation, science integration actually aims at integrating religious disciplines with modern technology and science, which is implemented in Islamic higher education in Indonesia. In developing the concept of science integration in each UIN in Indonesia, it has editorial diversity and contextual elaboration with the environment and culture of respective regions. Artikel ini bertujuan membahas pola integrasi keilmuan pada perguruan tinggi Islam di Indonesia dan model pengembangannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, sumber datanya terdiri dari informan dan dokumentasi, serta teknik pengumpulan datanya dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipasi, focus group discussion dan telaah dokumentasi. Hasilnya, penerapan pola integrasi keilmuan pada beberapa lembaga perguruan tinggi Islam tersebut ternyata berbeda-beda, berdasarkan perbedaan pemahaman tentang konsep integrasi keilmuan dan setting sosial-budaya yang bersifat lokal, sesuai latar belakang perguruan tinggi itu didirikan. Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) umumnya menerapkan integrasi, bukan islamisasi, yaitu dengan memadukan antara Islamic science dan sains umum. Ini tertuang dalam visi dan misi perguruan tinggi. Adapun prakteknya, pelaksanaan integrasi keilmuan diterapkan pada fakultas melalui kebijakan langsung dari universitas. Secara umum, Perguruan Tinggi Islam di Indonesia telah memiliki paradigma filosofis, dengan mengusung konsep integrasi keilmuan yang khas. Dalam aspek penjabaran paradigma integrasi tersebut, tercermin dalam kurikulum yang diterapkan. Namun, dari penjabarannya integrasi keilmuan sesungguhnya ingin memadukan disiplin ilmu keagamaan dengan teknologi dan sains modern, yang diimplementasikan dalam pendidikan tinggi Islam di Indonesia. Dalam pengembangan konsep integrasi keilmuan di masing-masing UIN di Indonesia memiliki keragaman redaksional dan elaborasi yang sangat kontekstual dengan lingkungan dan kultur daerah masing-masing.

Abstract

Minat membaca masyarakat di daerah pedesaan masih menjadi tantangan signifikan dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia dan daya saing bangsa. Di Dusun Karang Petak, Desa Aikmel Utara, budaya membaca masih tergolong rendah akibat beberapa faktor, seperti terbatasnya akses terhadap bahan bacaan, kurangnya fasilitas literasi, serta rendahnya kesadaran akan pentingnya membaca. Selain itu, dominasi teknologi digital yang lebih fokus pada hiburan turut mengikis kebiasaan membaca, terutama di kalangan anak-anak dan remaja. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab rendahnya minat membaca serta mengembangkan strategi edukasi literasi guna meningkatkan budaya membaca di masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) melalui tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca, menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya literasi, dan menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pengembangan budaya membaca secara berkelanjutan.
