Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of visionary leadership on institutional reputation in higher education, with strategic values and digital capability serving as mediating variables. A quantitative approach was applied using SEM-PLS based on 280 simulated (dummy) data points, constructed realistically to follow common empirical patterns in educational management research. The results indicate that visionary leadership significantly influences strategic values (β = 0.649) and digital capability (β = 0.605), yet it does not have a significant direct effect on institutional reputation (p > 0.05). Institutional reputation is strongly influenced by strategic values (β = 0.514) and digital capability (β = 0.332). Moreover, digital capability significantly mediates the relationship between visionary leadership and institutional reputation. The model demonstrates strong predictive power with an R² value of 0.693. These findings suggest that the reputation of educational institutions in the digital era relies heavily on the implementation of strategic values and the effectiveness of digital capability development. The study recommends strengthening value-based management and accelerating digital transformation to improve institutional reputation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the linguistic expressions in the Nutuk Beham ritual speech, which is part of the oral tradition of the Kutai Adat Lawas community. The speech contains folk tales and cultural symbols that have been passed down from generation to generation in the rice harvest ritual. This study uses an ethnolinguistic approach with a descriptive qualitative method. Data was obtained through direct observation, in-depth interviews with traditional leaders and ritual practitioners, and oral documentation collected during the traditional ceremony. The results of the study show that the Nutuk Beham ritual speech contains a distinctive linguistic structure in the form of repetitive and rhythmic oral poetry. It contains symbolic narratives about the origins of rice and stories of sacrifice that form the mythological basis of the community. These linguistic expressions embody values such as respect, responsibility, and religiosity, and reflect ecological wisdom rooted in the harmonious relationship between humans, nature, and food. This study affirms that the Nutuk Beham ritual speech is not merely a cultural heritage but also an educational medium for transmitting noble values within a local context.

Abstract

Revolusi Industri 4.0 menuntut satuan pendidikan vokasi, seperti SMKN 1 Kongbeng, untuk mentransformasi kurikulum, pembelajaran, dan kemitraan industri agar lulusannya berdaya saing. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi tantangan, seperti kesenjangan kompetensi, integrasi teknologi yang terbatas, kemitraan industri yang belum optimal, dan budaya inovasi guru yang belum merata. Metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus digunakan, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan studi dokumentasi terkait kurikulum, infrastruktur, dan studi tracer. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kesenjangan kompetensi di bidang IoT, otomasi, komputasi awan, dan literasi digital masih signifikan. Kemitraan industri memang ada, tetapi belum sepenuhnya mendukung transfer teknologi 4.0. Variabilitas kapasitas guru dan inovasi pembelajaran juga menjadi kendala akibat terbatasnya fasilitas dan dukungan kelembagaan. Namun, potensi lokal di sektor perkebunan, alat berat, dan otomotif menawarkan peluang diferensiasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa strategi inovatif perlu berfokus pada penguatan kurikulum 4.0 berbasis teknologi, optimalisasi kemitraan industri melalui kokreasi, peningkatan kapasitas guru, dan pengembangan diferensiasi berbasis potensi lokal. Dengan langkah-langkah tersebut, SMKN 1 Kongbeng dapat membangun keunggulan kompetitif yang berkelanjutan di era Revolusi Industri 4.0.

Abstract

Group discussions in class require tasks to be completed quickly, so that interactions between students are often dominated by speech that directs action and has the potential to create tension. This study aims to describe (1) the realization of directive and assertive speech acts in group discussions among students in class IX-A of SMP Negeri 9 Penajam Paser Utara, (2) the politeness strategies accompanying these utterances, and (3) their impact on interaction patterns. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data, in the form of group discussion transcripts (8 episodes) with a total of 42 utterances, were collected through observation and transcribed, then classified based on the type of speech act and analyzed using the speech act framework and Brown and Levinson's politeness theory (face and face-threatening act). The results show that directive speech acts tend to be dominant, especially the subcategory of requesting (9 utterances), followed by ordering (5), directing sequence (4), prohibiting (2), and silencing (2). Assertive speech acts appeared in the form of judging (5), accusing (4), denying (1), stating (1), explaining/giving examples (1), classifying (1), expressive reactions (1), and affirming references (1). Politeness strategies were evident through the use of question forms for clarification/confirmation, positive politeness (e.g., reinforcement/solidarity), and lexical mitigation; however, under certain conditions, direct utterances without mitigation appeared, which increased face threat. As a result, mitigated directive utterances reinforce cooperative-coordinative interaction patterns, while a combination of assertive attacks (e.g., accusations/labels) and coercive directives encourages conflict escalation with patterns of attack-defense-silencing. These findings emphasize the importance of teacher facilitation in discussion learning so that coordinative assertiveness remains in line with linguistic politeness. Abstrak Diskusi kelompok di kelas menuntut penyelesaian tugas secara cepat sehingga interaksi antarsiswa kerap didominasi tuturan yang bersifat mengarahkan tindakan sekaligus berpotensi memunculkan ketegangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan (1) realisasi tindak tutur direktif dan asertif dalam diskusi kelompok siswa kelas IX-A SMP Negeri 9 Penajam Paser Utara, (2) strategi kesantunan yang menyertai tuturan tersebut, serta (3) dampaknya terhadap pola interaksi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data berupa transkrip diskusi kelompok (8 episode) dengan total 42 tuturan, dikumpulkan melalui teknik simak dan ditranskripsikan, kemudian diklasifikasikan berdasarkan jenis tindak tutur dan dianalisis menggunakan kerangka tindak tutur serta teori kesantunan Brown dan Levinson (face dan face-threatening act). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa tindak tutur direktif cenderung dominan, terutama subkategori meminta (9 tuturan), diikuti menyuruh (5), mengarahkan urutan (4), melarang (2), dan membungkam (2). Tindak tutur asertif muncul dalam bentuk menilai (5), menuduh (4), menyangkal (1), menyatakan (1), menjelaskan/mencontohkan (1), mengklasifikasikan (1), ekspresif reaksi (1), dan menegaskan rujukan (1). Strategi kesantunan tampak melalui penggunaan bentuk tanya untuk klarifikasi/konfirmasi, kesantunan positif (misalnya penguatan/solidaritas), dan mitigasi leksikal; namun pada kondisi tertentu muncul tuturan langsung tanpa mitigasi yang meningkatkan ancaman muka. Dampaknya, tuturan direktif yang termitigasi memperkuat pola interaksi kooperatif–koordinatif, sedangkan kombinasi asertif menyerang (mis. tuduhan/label) dan direktif koersif mendorong eskalasi konflik dengan pola penyerangan–pertahanan–pembungkaman. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya fasilitasi guru dalam pembelajaran diskusi agar ketegasan koordinatif tetap sejalan dengan kesantunan berbahasa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji secara deskriptif komparatif peran pemerintah daerah dan sektor swasta dalam pembiayaan pendidikan di Kota Samarinda, dengan menekankan relasi antara struktur pendanaan, prioritas belanja, dan implikasinya bagi akses serta mutu layanan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif komparatif untuk menangkap dinamika pengambilan keputusan dan praktik pembiayaan yang tidak selalu terbaca dari data anggaran semata. Data primer dihimpun melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pejabat pengelola anggaran pendidikan, pengelola sekolah negeri dan swasta, serta pengurus yayasan pendidikan, dan diperkuat oleh observasi pada satuan pendidikan terpilih. Data sekunder berupa dokumen APBD, laporan program, dan kebijakan pembiayaan digunakan untuk memverifikasi informasi dan memperkaya konteks. Analisis dilakukan melalui pengodean, kategorisasi, dan perbandingan tematik antar sektor, dengan triangulasi dan member checking untuk menjaga kredibilitas temuan. Hasil menunjukkan pemerintah tetap menjadi penyangga utama akses pendidikan melalui pembiayaan operasional sekolah negeri dan pemenuhan layanan dasar. Namun, dominasi belanja rutin mempersempit ruang fiskal untuk agenda peningkatan mutu yang menuntut investasi pengembangan, seperti pelatihan guru berkelanjutan, penguatan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, dan inovasi kurikulum. Sementara itu, sektor swasta berkontribusi pada diversifikasi layanan, percepatan penyediaan fasilitas, serta inovasi program, termasuk pengembangan sekolah dengan layanan unggulan. Kendati demikian, tingginya biaya operasional dan ketergantungan pada pembiayaan partisipatif membatasi jangkauan layanan swasta pada kelompok ekonomi tertentu. Temuan juga menegaskan adanya ketimpangan internal kota antara pusat dan pinggiran serta belum terbangunnya kemitraan publik swasta yang sistemik. Penelitian merekomendasikan penguatan kolaborasi berbasis akuntabilitas melalui beasiswa tepat sasaran, investasi bersama fasilitas dan teknologi, serta insentif regulatif untuk memperluas layanan di wilayah kurang terlayani

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan fungsi eufemisme pada tuturan berita kriminal Patroli di Indosiar. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan termasuk dalam jenis penelitian kepustakaan. Teknik penyediaan data yang digunakan adalah teknik sadap dengan teknik simak bebas libat cakap dan catat. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik dari metode agih yang terdiri dari teknik dasar bagi unsur langsung dan teknik ganti sebagai teknik lanjutan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bentuk ungkapan eufemisme antara lain: (1) bentuk singkatan, (2) kata serapan, (3) istilah asing, (4) metafora, dan (5) perifrasis. Adapula fungsi ungkapan yang ditemukan yaitu; (1) sebagai alat untuk menghaluskan ucapan, (2) sebagai alat untuk merahasiakan sesuatu, (3) sebagai alat untuk berdiplomasi, (4) sebagai alat pendidikan, dan (5) sebagai alat penolak bahaya. Kata kunci: eufemisme, bentuk, fungsi, Patroli  ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the form and function of euphemism on Patroli criminal criminal news in Indosiar. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and is included in the type of library research. The data supply technique used is the tapping technique with competent and free involvement techniques. The data analysis technique used is the technique from the method which consists of basic techniques for direct elements and substitute techniques as advanced techniques. Based on the results of the study, found expressions of euphemism include: (1) abbreviations, (2) absorption words, (3) foreign terms, (4) metaphors, and (5) periphrasis. There is also an expression function found, namely; (1) as a tool for refining speech, (2) as a tool to keep things a secret, (3) as a tool for diplomacy, (4) as an educational tool, and (5) as a hazard repellent. Keywords: euphemism, form, function,Patroli

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi, dinamika sosial, dan tekanan globalisasi telah memicu krisis identitas pendidikan tinggi Indonesia, yang ditandai oleh disorientasi tujuan institusi, melemahnya budaya ilmiah, dan degradasi nilai moral. Penelitian ini menganalisis krisis tersebut melalui perspektif filsafat ilmu, khususnya dimensi ontologi, epistemologi, dan aksiologi, serta merumuskan pendekatan konseptual untuk memperkuat identitas pendidikan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi literatur yaitu menelaah artikel nasional dan internasional melalui proses identifikasi, seleksi, pembacaan mendalam, dan sintesis tematik. Analisis data mengikuti model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana serta diperkuat triangulasi sumber. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa krisis ontologis muncul akibat komersialisasi dan birokratisasi yang menyempitkan makna pendidikan menjadi aktivitas teknokratis. Krisis epistemologis tampak melalui rendahnya literasi akademik, melemahnya budaya riset, dan maraknya plagiarisme yang menggeser pendidikan dari pencarian kebenaran. Krisis aksiologis terlihat dalam menurunnya integritas moral, etika ilmiah, dan tanggung jawab sosial. Sintesis literatur merekomendasikan rekonstruksi ontologis berbasis pemanusiaan, reformasi epistemologis melalui penguatan budaya ilmiah dan integritas akademik, serta revitalisasi aksiologis melalui internalisasi nilai moral dan misi sosial. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa identitas pendidikan tinggi hanya dapat diperkuat melalui integrasi seimbang antara makna, pengetahuan, dan nilai dalam seluruh proses akademik Kata Kunci: Krisis Identitas Pendidikan Tinggi, Filsafat Ilmu, Ontologi, Epistemologi, Aksiologi

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of human resources (teachers) in implementing deep learning at SD Negeri 005 Sangasanga. Deep learning is a key component of the Merdeka Curriculum, emphasizing the development of critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that teachers possess several strengths that support the implementation of deep learning, including strong commitment to curriculum change, high motivation, extensive teaching experience, adequate basic pedagogical skills, and openness to new instructional approaches. However, the study also identifies several significant weaknesses, such as limited digital literacy, difficulties in designing inquiry- and project-based learning, insufficient application of authentic assessment, limited creativity in developing exploratory learning activities, and heavy administrative workloads. The conceptual model of findings indicates that the success of deep learning implementation is shaped by the interaction between teachers’ strengths and weaknesses. These results highlight the need for more targeted professional development programs and stronger institutional support to ensure the effective and sustainable implementation of deep learning practices.

Abstract

This study analyses the link between education funding and student achievement at State Madrasahs and State Schools in Samarinda City. It also examines the roles of teacher quality, school facilities, and student development programs. Using a quantitative comparative correlation method, the study sampled 241 eleventh-grade students: 129 from State Madrasahs and 112 from State Schools, chosen through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data collection included a Likert scale questionnaire, academic records, and interviews with teachers and the treasurer. Descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression, and the Independent Samples T-Test were used for analysis. Findings showed high to very high levels for education funding, teacher quality, school facilities, and development programs. Pearson's test revealed a strong positive relationship between funding and achievement: r = 0.65 for State Madrasahs and r = 0.68 for State Schools (p < 0.05). The four variables together explained 67% of the variation in achievement. The t-test confirmed significant institutional differences. Public schools used funds more for facilities, while public madrasas focused on teacher competency and religious guidance. Education funding has a significant impact on academic achievement, with effectiveness shaped by each institution's management and characteristics.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has reshaped the governance, learning ecology, and performance expectations within contemporary educational institutions. This study investigates the strategic leadership exercised by school principals in orchestrating digital transformation as a pathway for improving educational quality. Adopting a descriptive qualitative design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, systematic observations, and document analysis to construct a comprehensive understanding of leadership practices in a digitally evolving school environment. The findings indicate that the principal articulates a coherent and future-oriented digital vision (score 85) that effectively aligns institutional goals with technological innovation. Change management strategies (score 78) have facilitated gradual yet meaningful pedagogical shifts, although disparities in teachers’ digital readiness persist. The utilization of a Learning Management System (LMS) represents the most robust dimension of implementation (score 88), enhancing instructional efficiency, data transparency, and supervisory oversight. The school’s emerging culture of innovation (score 80) further reinforces digital integration, albeit with uneven participation across teaching staff. Teachers’ digital competence (score 72), however, remains a critical developmental area requiring sustained professional learning opportunities. Overall, the study underscores that strategic leadership is a pivotal determinant of successful digital transformation, highlighting the necessity for visionary direction, evidence-informed decision-making, and continuous capacity building in advancing educational quality in the digital era.
