Abstract

Abstract

Climate change is a global issue at present affecting the whole world, including tropical countries like Indonesia. Previous studies have indicated that changes in these conditions have grave impacts on hydrological disasters. Therefore, the pattern of climate change needs to be analyzed for the feasibility of adaptation and mitigation in the future. This present study developed analyses into the trend in temperature variation over East Java both on an annual and daily time scale. Observation data within a long period from 1985 to 2023 was used for comprehensive results. Methods applied include linear regression, the Man-Kendall test, and Sen's Slope test. The new finding that emerged for the temperature variable was that the increase in temperature went over the global and national averages and consistently showed a significant increasing trend across the study area. However, the rainfall variable revealed different results in highlands, where the rainfall intensity decreased-in SDII and R100, inversely proportional to coastal areas. It means that climate change does not occur uniformly everywhere but varies spatially. These findings raise a case for climate change mapping to formulate appropriate adaptation and mitigation strategies.

Abstract

The laundry MSME sector is one of the rapidly growing service sectors in urban areas, including Bekasi City. Most business owners still face challenges in using digital technology, managing financial records, and operating in an environmentally friendly manner. Therefore, this Community Service (PKM) activity was carried out through three main programs: business digitalization training (social media, websites, and digital marketing), financial record training using the Accurate Online application, and socialization of the use of environmentally friendly soap made from soap nuts. The PKM program was held on October 18, 2025, at the Taman Harapan Baru Housing Complex, Pejuang Village, Medan Satria District, Bekasi City, in collaboration with Paguyuban Manunggal Karya and Taurus Mitra Aspact Laundry. The implementation included lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, discussions, and technical assistance by a team of lecturers and students. The results of the activity showed an increase in MSMEs' understanding of utilizing digital platforms, the ability to generate automatic financial reports through Accurate Online, and awareness of environmentally friendly business practices. In addition, the activity also included the handover of a washing machine to support the increase in MSME production capacity. This activity has a positive impact and is becoming an empowerment model that can be replicated in other regions.

Abstract

 Sadawarna Dam, one of Indonesia's national strategic projects, located in the Cipunegara River Basin, plays a crucial role in ensuring food security, controlling floods, and providing a raw water supply. Community activities around the reservoir have the potential to degrade water quality, making continuous monitoring necessary. This study evaluates the water quality condition of Sadawarna Dam through analysis of physical, chemical, and biological parameters using the Pollution Index method (Minister of Environment Decree No. 115 of 2003) in the upstream, reservoir, and downstream areas, providing a comprehensive overview of pollution levels and their relevance to environmentally sustainable principles. Measurement results show that, based on Class I Water Quality Standards, the Pollution Index (PI) values range from 3.61 to 5.20. In comparison, based on Class II Standards, the PI values range from 3.54 to 5.11. These values indicate that water quality in the reservoir and downstream areas falls into the "Lightly Polluted" category, while the upstream area is classified as "Moderately Polluted." These findings emphasize the importance of water quality monitoring as a strategic environmental management measure to maintain the sustainability of the reservoir ecosystem and its benefits for the community. Therefore, the solution is to strengthen regular water quality monitoring systems, identify pollution sources, and promote collaborative efforts among the government, communities, and other stakeholders to ensure sustainable and environmentally sound reservoir management.

Abstract

Abstrak - Pencitraan bawah air menghadapi tantangan degradasi visual yang signifikan akibat penyerapan dan hamburan cahaya, yang berdampak pada rendahnya akurasi algoritma visi komputer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan performa pencocokan citra terumbu karang menggunakan algoritma Scale-Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) melalui rangkaian metode preprocessing yang komprehensif. Tahapan perbaikan citra yang diusulkan meliputi kompensasi warna berbasis logaritmik, white balance, koreksi gamma, dehazing, dan Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE). Hasil eksperimen terhadap 50 citra uji menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas citra yang signifikan secara objektif, ditandai dengan kenaikan nilai rata-rata Underwater Image Quality Measure (UIQM) sebesar 47,7% (dari 2,072 menjadi 3,061) dan Underwater Color Image Quality Evaluation (UCIQE) sebesar 50,2% (dari 0,551 menjadi 0,828). Peningkatan kualitas visual ini secara langsung mengoptimalkan performa ekstraksi fitur, di mana jumlah matched points pada algoritma SIFT meningkat sebesar 11,48%, yaitu dari 1550 menjadi 1728 titik. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa stabilitas warna dan ketajaman kontras lokal sangat krusial dalam meningkatkan jumlah deskriptor yang valid dan akurat, bahkan pada kondisi citra yang mengalami rotasi ekstrem sebesar 180°.Kata kunci : Underwater Image Enhancement; SIFT; Matched Points; Terumbu Karang; CLAHE; Abstract - Underwater imaging faces significant visual degradation challenges due to light absorption and scattering, impacting the accuracy of computer vision algorithms. This study aims to optimize the matching performance of coral reef images using the Scale-Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) algorithm through a comprehensive sequence of preprocessing methods. The proposed image enhancement stages include logarithmic-based color compensation, white balance, gamma correction, dehazing, and Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE). Experimental results on 50 test images show a significant objective improvement in image quality, marked by an increase in the average Underwater Image Quality Measure (UIQM) by 47.7% (from 2.072 to 3.061) and Underwater Color Image Quality Evaluation (UCIQE) by 50.2% (from 0.551 to 0.828). This visual quality improvement directly optimizes feature extraction performance, where the number of matched points in the SIFT algorithm increased by 11.48%, from 1550 to 1728 points. This study proves that color stability and local contrast sharpness are crucial in increasing the number of valid and accurate descriptors, even under extreme image rotation of 180°.Keywords: Underwater Image Enhancement; SIFT; Matched Points; Coral Reef; CLAHE;

Abstract

The blue swimming crab is a leading commodity in Karawang Regency in terms of economic value. It is marketed locally and internationally. Blue swimming crabs are sold to consumers both alive and processed, so a supply chain process is needed that can meet consumer demand quickly and maintain excellent quality. This study aims to analyze the management, structure, and costs of the blue swimming crab supply chain and evaluate its external performance using the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) method, which is considered a systematic approach for measuring supply chain performance. This study was conducted in Tirtajaya District, Cilamaya Wetan District, and at a blue swimming crab processing company in Cirebon. The results of this study include an explanation of the supply chain targets, supply chain structures, types of costs incurred by fishermen, traders, collectors, and suppliers, as well as the value of the external performance of the supply chain. The research subjects consisted of fishermen, traders, and collectors. The structure of the blue swimming crab supply chain in Karawang Regency had two different flows or chain networks from fishermen to suppliers. The costs generally incurred are operational costs, including diesel fuel, supplies, fishing gear, bait (if using traps), and transportation. External performance measurements of the blue swimming crab supply chain in Karawang Regency consistently yield superior results across all indicators. However, the order fulfillment indicator yielded parity due to the lean season.

Abstract

Gajahmungkur also known as the Wonogiri multipurpose dam, is a long-standing dam in Wonogiri Regency, Central Java Province. After nearly five decades of operation, an evaluation of the dam's operational and maintenance performance is necessary to ensure its continued function. This study aims to analyze the actual condition of the Wonogiri multipurpose dam through a condition index assessment method for each dam component based on primary and secondary data. The assessment process is carried out by determining a condition index value that reflects the level of performance and safety of the dam area. The analysis results show that the Wonogiri multipurpose dam obtained a condition index value of 3, which is included in the moderate damage category. This finding indicates the need for maintenance measures to prevent further damage. Based on the results of observations, dense grass growth, sedimentation, and the need for repairs to the hydromechanical equipment were found. This emphasizes the importance of proper evaluation and repair for optimal and sustainable dam operation. The recommendations from this study are expected to guide more effective and efficient dam management in the future.
