Abstract

Basic education plays a key role in developing students' critical thinking skills in preparation for tackling complex global challenges. The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of basic educational content standards in basic education learning and its impact on improving students' critical thinking skills. This study utilizes methods of data collection processes conducted through literature reviews of scientific papers, as the data generated is descriptive. Data analysis was performed using a qualitative approach. Research results show that applying basic educational content standards to basic educational learning can significantly contribute to improving students' critical thinking skills. Primary school teachers who apply content standards extensively and consistently in primary education create learning environments in which students develop critical thinking skills through comprehension of content, analysis of information, evaluation of arguments, and rational decision-making. can be produced.

Abstract

The background of research is that existing learning resources and media have not been utilized optimally as seen from the use of learning resources that only focus on textbooks, lack of interaction and social attitudes in the learning process, lack of utilization of learning media, and students not focusing on participating in learning which causes social studies learning outcomes low. This study aims to describe the availability, utilization, school support and teacher constraints in using learning resources and media towards achieving social studies learning objectives at UPT Elementary Schools. Research using qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The samples are school principals, high-grade social studies teachers and 6 students from each class. The results of the study show that the availability of learning resources and media is quite good and teachers can make good use of learning resources and media in the social studies learning process. There are obstacles to the use of learning resources and media in achieving social studies learning objectives in elementary schools such as requiring more time and a lack of reading books which make social studies learning objectives not optimally achieved, besides that school support from resource facilities and learning media is quite good. In conclusion, the availability and utilization of learning resources and media as well as school support for achieving social studies learning objectives is quite good and the obstacles encountered can be overcome properly in elementary schools

Abstract

According to the father of Indonesian education, Ki hajar Dewantara, "Education is a conscious effort to prepare students through guidance, teaching, and / or training for their role in the future". Comparative education is analyzing two or more things to find similarities and differences. The formulation of the problem in the form of agreeing / disagreeing with the Indonesian education system is lagging behind compared to the State of South Korea? How is the education system in the State of Indonesia and the State of South Korea? What is the comparison of education between the State of Indonesia and the State of South Korea? The aim of the author is to find out that the education system in Indonesia is far behind compared to the State of South Korea, there are comparisons in the education system both curriculum, teaching methods, study time, students who are actively participating in learning lessons. In this article, the author uses a research method in the form of a descriptive method and a questionnaire method. The results of this study are that the government must be able to meet the facilities needed by students at each school, parents and educators must also be able to apply and teach children to have a high enthusiasm for learning and be able to take learning lessons.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak sertifikasi guru terhadap peningkatan profesionalisme guru di Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah studi literatur dengan mengkaji berbagai penelitian terkait efek sertifikasi guru. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa sertifikasi guru memiliki dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kompetensi, kualitas, dan kesejahteraan guru. Guru yang telah bersertifikasi cenderung memiliki motivasi lebih tinggi untuk terus berkembang dan memupuk kualitas pengajaran di kelas. Selain itu, tunjangan sertifikasi juga berkontribusi pada peningkatan kesejahteraan guru. Guru yang lebih sejahtera akan lebih fokus dan berdedikasi dalam melaksanakan tugasnya, yang pada akhirnya dapat memupuk kualitas pendidikan secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa sertifikasi guru adalah salah satu cara efektif untuk memupuk profesionalisme dan kualitas guru di Indonesia. Penelitian ini memiliki signifikansi yang penting karena kualitas guru merupakan salah satu faktor kunci dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa program sertifikasi guru dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran di kelas.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation and challenges of character education in Social Sciences (IPS) learning in elementary schools. The method used is a literature study by examining various related sources obtained from various scientific articles on the Google Scholar page relating to the implementation and challenges of character education in elementary schools, especially in social studies learning. The results of the research show that the implementation of character education in school learning can be done in various ways, such as integrating character values ​​into social studies learning material, using various learning methods to develop student character, teacher example, customizing daily activities to support the character development carried out. by the school to create a positive culture and climate. However, the implementation of character education in social studies learning in elementary schools faces various challenges, such as limited teacher understanding, lack of role models from the environment, and minimal parental support. Therefore, serious efforts are needed from various parties, including schools, families and communities, to overcome these challenges and create a future generation with character.

Abstract

This research aims to compare the basic education systems between Indonesia and Finland. The research method used is literature study with a qualitative approach. Data was obtained through literature analysis, including books, scientific journals, articles and research reports that are relevant to the topic being researched. The research results show that the education system in Finland has advantages in terms of strong government support, free education for all teachers, high teacher qualifications, and collaboration between society, teachers and students. On the other hand, Indonesia faces challenges in implementing education, including transparent monitoring and evaluation, harmony between the school environment, family and community, and teacher qualifications that are not yet optimal. This study provides an understanding of best practices that can be adopted by both countries to improve education and the preparation of competent human resources in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari kenyataaan bahwa dalam proses pembelajaran masih bersifat monoton dan pengembangan aspek kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor siswa kurang berkembang dengan baik, sehingga hasil belajar PKn siswa belum sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Untuk mengatasinya dilakukan tindakan dengan menggunakan metoda role-playing. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran PKn di kelas II SDN 003Bangkinang Kota. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara tes dan pengamatan melalui lembar pengamatan aspek guru dan siswa.Metoda role-playing ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan tindak lanjut.Dari hasil analisis data penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan metoda role-playing dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas II SDN 003Bangkinang Kota. Dari hasil evaluasi yang telah dilakukan oleh siswa pada siklus I nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa 65,53% dan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata yang diperoleh yaitu 84,3%

Abstract

Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Nomor 41 tahun 2007 mengisyaratkan penggunaan pendekatan tematik dalam pembelajaran kelas 1 sampai kelas 3 Sekolah Dasar (SD). Bahkan dewasa ini pasca diberlakukannya Kurikulum 2013, pendekatan tematik wajib diimplementasikan dari kelas 1 sampai kelas 6 pada proses pembelajaran. Adalah menjadi hal yang penting bagi guru SD untuk dapat melaksanakan pendekatan tematik sebagai tanggung jawab profesi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menganalisis pemahaman guru SD tentang pendekatan tematik, 2) mendapatkan profil kemampuan guru SD dalam melaksanakan pendekatan tematik, dan 3) mengetahui hambatan-hambatan guru dalam mengimplementasikan pendekatan tematik di SD. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian guru kelas 1 sampai kelas 3 di lima SD Kecamatan Bangkinang Kota. Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi dan wawancara. Triangulasi dilakukan melalui focus group discussion antara peneliti, guru, dan kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara konsep guru memahami pendekatan tematik dengan baik, namun pada pelaksanaannya 6 dari 9 orang guru yang diteliti tidak melaksanakan pendekatan tematik dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa sebagian besar guru mengalami kendala dalam mengimplementasikan pendekatan tematik pada proses pembelajaran

Abstract

Based on observations, indicating civic learning still conventionally implemented where teachers are still using instructional media were confined to the textbook. This causes make the students is not actice in the learning process and learning results obtained are low. Focused on the problem, this research aims to improve the planning, implementation and assessment of learning civics by using audio-visual media. This classroom action research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. In practice, this research consisted of two cycles was taken collaboratively with classroom teachers. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing measures are accompanied observations and reflections on each cycle. The research was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2015/2016 in 016 Bangkinang City Elementary School with the research subjects were all students in fourth grade. The research data was collected through observation, interviews, field notes, documentation and test. The results of data analysis showed that the use of audio-visual media can improve student learning outcomes in learning in fourth grade Civics 016 Bangkinang City State. It is seen from (1) The results of student learning in the cognitive an increase of the average value of 7.1 in the first cycle to 8.0 in the second cycle, (2) the affective domain increased from an average value of 7.8 on I cycle to 8.5 in the second cycle, and (3) on psychomotor increased from an average value of 6.4 in the first cycle to 7.9 in the second cycle. Seeing the results of this study, the class action research in the use of audio-visual media in Civics learning needs to be applied and developed in order to improve the quality of education in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan serta menghasilkan alat evaluasi yang layak untuk siswa SD.Penelitian pengembangan ini akan dicobakan dengan menggunakan taksonomi Bloom dua dimensi untukmenghasilkan butir-butir tes. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode R & D (Researchand Development) atau metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Alat evaluasi yang dikembangkan padapenelitian ini adalah soal tes uraian, kunci jawaban serta pedoman penskoran. Tahapan-tahapan dalampenelitian ini dimulai dengan studi kepustakaan, pembuatan kisi-kisi, penulisa butir tes, uji ahli (validitas isi),revisi tahap 1, uji terbatas yang terdiri dari: validitas butir soal, uji reliabilitas, taraf kesukaran dan dayabeda. Selanjutnya dilanjutkan ke tahap revisi 2, uji coba lebih luas ke tiga SD yang satu kompleks denganSDN 016, hingga seleksi dan perakitan tes, sampai didapatkan butir tes yang valid dan reliabel. Evaluasihasil belajar mata pelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan Taksonomi Bloom Dua Dimensi nilairata-ratatotalvalidasi yang diberikan olehvalidator terhadap alat evalusi sebesar 3,29, alat evaluasi yang dikembangkandalam kategori sangat valid dan koefisien validitas butir soal dari soal 1sampai 30 memiliki kriteria validitastinggi. Koefisien reliabilitas soal tesuraianyang dikembangkansebesar 1,019524 dengan kategori reliabilitas sangat tinggi.
