Abstract

The property and real estate sector is one of the important sectors that contribute to the Indonesian economy, but in the 2021–2024 period, this sector experienced a decline in company value as reflected in market performance. This problem prompted this study, which aims to analyze the effect of capital structure on company value and examine the role of profitability as a mediating variable in property and real estate sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020–2024 period. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method and the sample was determined through a purposive sampling technique on companies that meet the research criteria. The results of the study indicate that capital structure has a significant negative effect on company value and profitability, while profitability has a significant positive effect on company value and is proven to mediate the effect of capital structure on company value; this finding supports the Trade-off Theory regarding the importance of balance in the use of debt, but also shows limitations in the application of Signaling Theory in the property sector. This study concludes that excessive use of debt can reduce profitability and company value, so companies need to establish an optimal capital structure to maintain financial performance and increase investor confidence.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent to which financial literacy influences the financial management ability of fishing households in Watolo Village, Central Buton Regency. Fishermen are a community group that depends heavily on weather conditions and market dynamics, making their income unstable between fishing and lean seasons. In such conditions, the ability to manage income becomes an essential factor in maintaining family economic resilience. Financial literacy, which includes knowledge, attitudes, and skills in understanding and managing personal finances, is believed to play a significant role in improving the welfare of fishermen. This research employs an associative quantitative approach involving 60 respondents who are active heads of fishing households in Watolo Village. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicate that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on household financial management, with a regression coefficient of 0.430, R value of 0.542, R² of 0.294, and a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05). These findings confirm that the higher the level of financial literacy, the better the fishermen’s ability to manage income, record financial flows, and plan long-term savings. The implication of this study is the need for community-based financial education programs and coastal economic empowerment policies tailored to the income characteristics of fishermen to strengthen their resilience against seasonal risks. Abstract

The technology sector is a key driver of economic growth in today's digital era. However, during the 2021-2023 period, this sector experienced a decline in profitability, as reflected in the companies' financial reports. This issue is the background for this research, which aims to examine the influence of liquidity, activity, and leverage on profitability, as well as the potential mediating effect of firm size in technology sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021-2023 period. The sample selection was carried out by purposive sampling to select company samples that met the criteria for this quantitative research, which uses the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The research findings indicate that while activity and leverage each have a positive but significant impact on profitability, liquidity has a negative but negligible impact. It also shows that firm size does not mediate the impact of activity, liquidity, and leverage on profitability; these findings support the Trade-off Theory regarding the importance of balance in the use of debt, but also indicate limitations in the application of Signaling Theory in the technology sector. This study concludes that high current assets reflect inefficient use of funds. Activity has a positive but insignificant influence, indicating that increased activity has not been accompanied by efficiency in asset management. Leverage also has a positive but insignificant influence, signaling that the use of debt has not been managed optimally. Furthermore, the relationship between liquidity, activity, and leverage on profitability cannot be mediated by organizational size.

The method of research employed is a quantitative approach, utilizing a descriptive type of research. The population in this study amounted to 30 employees, and all of them were sampled through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews, and analyzed using simple linear regression with the help of partial tests (t-tests). The findings indicated that the leadership style positively and significantly influenced employee performance, with a significance value of 0.001 (less than 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.330 indicates that leadership style contributed 33% to improving employee performance, while the remaining 67% was influenced by other factors outside this study. Abstract

This study aims to map the development, thematic structure, and research trends of scholarly publications on social media and paedophilia in Indonesia. Using a bibliometric approach, the research quantitatively examines how academic attention to online child sexual exploitation has evolved and identifies dominant themes and emerging directions within the field. Data were collected from Google Scholar using the keywords media, social, paedophilia, and Indonesia, covering journal articles published between 2020 and mid-2025. An initial dataset of 840 articles was retrieved through the Publish or Perish application, followed by a rigorous data cleaning and relevance selection process that resulted in 438 articles for analysis. Bibliometric analysis was conducted using the Bibliometrix package and Biblioshiny interface to generate publication trends, citation patterns, keyword co-occurrence networks, and thematic mappings. The results show a sharp increase in publications from 2020 to 2023, followed by slower growth in 2023–2024 and a decline in 2024–2025. In contrast, citation rates rose significantly in 2024–2025, indicating increasing scholarly impact despite reduced output. Dominant themes center on children, sexual violence, media, and protection, while recent trends highlight a shift toward policy, counseling, and intervention-oriented research. These findings demonstrate an evolving, solution-focused research landscape on online child safety in Indonesia.

Abstract

Stock prices as the main element in the capital market, are influenced by various factors, one of which is the company's financial condition. Companies with poor financial conditions tend to experience pressure on their stock prices, which can lead to potential bankruptcy. This research intends to examine the impact of bankruptcy risk on stock prices, using dividend policy as a moderating factor, in food and beverage firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the years 2019-2023. The study sample included 24 companies chosen via purposive sampling. The method for data analysis utilized Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) through the Econometric Views (E-Views) version 12 software. The secondary data utilized was derived from financial reports accessed through the official IDX website. The findings of the research show that the potential for bankruptcy significantly influences stock prices. Furthermore, dividend policy has been demonstrated to enhance the connection between bankruptcy risk and stock prices, suggesting that it can act as a stabilizing element in preserving stock price stability during challenging financial situations. This study provides practical implications for company management in determining the right dividend policy as a bankruptcy risk mitigation strategy.

Abstract

This study examines Islamic monetary policy from the perspective of Islamic economic education, focusing on its implications for economic stability, wealth distribution, and the prohibition of interest (riba). The central aim of this research is to explore how Sharia-compliant monetary policies, which emphasize justice, equity, and the use of profit-sharing instruments such as mudarabah, musyarakah, and ijarah, can contribute to reducing inequality and fostering long-term economic growth. A qualitative approach was adopted, using a systematic literature review to analyze the impact of these policies within Islamic economic education. The literature review encompassed articles published between 2019 and 2024, with a particular focus on studies that discuss the application of Sharia-compliant financial instruments in various global contexts. The findings reveal that Sharia-compliant monetary policies have the potential to stabilize economies by ensuring fair distribution of wealth, promoting social justice, and offering an alternative to the interest-based financial systems that dominate conventional economies. However, challenges remain in the broader adoption of these systems due to the lack of infrastructure and the resistance of conventional financial institutions. This study contributes to the existing literature by providing insights into the integration of Islamic monetary policy into modern economic education and offering a comprehensive review of the principles, strengths, and challenges of Sharia-compliant financial systems.

Abstract

Protected forests play a vital role in maintaining ecosystem balance, such as regulating water systems, controlling floods, and preserving soil fertility. However, pressure from population growth and community activities around forest areas particularly land clearing for plantations has led to significant changes in land cover. This research was conducted from May to November 2023 and aimed to calculate the land cover area for the years 2013 and 2023, as well as analyze land cover changes in the Protected Forest area of Tanantovea District, Donggala, over the ten-year period. Land cover identification and its changes were assessed using Landsat 8 satellite imagery, classified through a supervised classification method. Image data processing identified five types of land cover: primary dryland forest, secondary dryland forest, plantations, shrubs, and bare land. The results showed that the primary dryland forest experienced a decrease of 522.20 hectares, while other land cover classes increased in area. These changes were driven by the socio-economic conditions of surrounding communities, such as low-income levels, limited employment opportunities, and small land ownership. The classification accuracy reached 82%, indicating that the image interpretation was reasonably representative of actual field conditions. These findings highlight the importance of utilizing remote sensing technology to monitor land cover dynamics and support sustainable forest management decision-making.
