Abstract

This study aim was to determine the best dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) concentration for native chicken’s(Gallus gallus domesticus) frozen semen. Semen was collected from three native chickens and then evaluatedmacroscopically and microscopically. Spermatozoa that used in this study had more than 75% spermmotility and more than 25 X 108 mL in sperm concentration. Semen was divided into three equal tubesand each of them diluted with Ringer lactate egg yolk (RLEY) extender consisted of 5, 7 and 9% of DMSO.Diluted semen was added into 0.25 mL of mini straw, then equilibrated at 5 °C for two hours. The semenwas then frozen placed in liquid nitrogen vapors for10 min. Finally, the semen was put into liquid nitrogenwith a temperature of – 196oC. Post thawing quality semen was assessed after 24 hours storage bythawing the straw in warm water (37 °C) for 30 seconds. Data were analyzed using one-way analysis ofvariance. The results demonstrated that the sperm motility and viability diluted with RLEY extenderwith 7% DMSO was better (p<0.05) than those in 5 or 9% DMSO. Semen quality decreased at every stepof freezing, especially between equilibration and thawing. Its concluded that 7% was the best DMSOconcentration for freezing of native chicken semen in Ringer lactate egg yolk extender compared to 5% and9%.

Abstract

Abstract: The Effect Of Instructional Media And Multiple Intelligences On Student’s Learning Achievement On Information And Comunication Technology (ICT) Of Primary Teacher Education,  State University Of Medan. The objectives of  this quasi – experimental research were to discover: 1) whether the students learning achievement of Primary Teacher Education (PTE) in ICT taught by using CD interactive multimedia interactive instructional media was higher than learning achievement of  PTE taught by using module instructional media, 2) whether the students learning achievement of  PTE in ICT with spasial visual multiple intelligences was higher than student’s with verbal linguistic multiple intelligences, and 3) the interaction between instructional media and multiple intelligences in affecting the student’s learning achievement in ICT. The population of the study was 180 students of PTE who took the ICT from 6 classes namely 2 regular classes, 3 extension classes from the city government Academic year 2010/2011.Based on cluster random sampling technique 4 clasess taken from 2 reguler classes and 2 extention classes. The A regular class and A extension class using CD interactive multimedia instructional media and module was used in B regular class and B extention class. The research findings showed that : (1) the students’ learning  achievement in ICT taught by using CD interactive multimedia instructional media was higher than the students’ taught by using module instructional media with Fcount = 11.65 > Ftables = 4.00 at the level of  significance α = 0.05; (2) the students’ learning achievement in ICT with multiple intelligences spatial visual was higher than students’learning achievement with multiple intelligences verbal linguistic with Fcount = 11.65 > Ftables = 4.00 at the level of  significance α = 0.05, and (3) there was an interaction between instructional media and multiple intelligences on students’ learning achievement in ICT where Fcount =  8,85  > Ftable =  4.00 at the level of  significance α = 0.05.         The conclusion of research is that application of the instructional media in the instructional process can improve the student’s learning achievement especially for PTE. Therefore, the implication is lecturers should be trained in order they can apply a more variative instructional process. So, it is the suggested that the lecturers should able use a variety of media for the success of the instructional process. Abstract

Generally, there are two criteria which are widely used to determineDM’s weight of interest, i.e. competenceand consensus. Various studies related to determine DM’s weight of interest based on competence or consensusseparately have been conducted. Each criterion has its own advantages. The advantage of using competence as acriterion is DMs who have high competence based on their consistence on the decisions made will have high of interest weight. Meanwhile, consensus criterion emphasizes a DM/s contribution to a group without consideringthe DM’s ability or competence.Considering the advantages of both criteria, this study developed a model to determine DM’s weight of interestby considering the DM’ competence and consensus in a GDM. This study used2 group decision making cases totaling in 6 groups consisting of 5 people each. Collected data was then processedusing DM’s weight of interest determination method based on competence and consensus. A model was thendesigned using regression method and fuzzy method. Therefore, a model to determine DM’s weight of interest was obtained by considering competence and consensus. DM’s weight of interest from each method was then involvedin group decision making. The research result showed that group decisions made by involving DM’s weight of interest were better decisions. It implies competence and consensus are two criteria which can be used to determineDM’s weight of interest.

Abstract

This public service has aim to give knowledge for the MIM’s teachers in Matesih subregency about the curriculum of 2013 paradigm, continued profession development, and the lesson plan development based on the curriculum of 2013. The strategies used to pursue the goals were: (1) discussion: in the beginning of the activities, all ofthe  participants were  seated in  a room  to get  the knowledge  of curriculum  2013 paradigm and the continued profession development. After the presentation delivered by the speaker has finished, the participants conducted the discussion with the speaker related to the knowledge which had not been understood yet; (2) the lesson planworkshop: after the discussion finished, the participants were divided into two groups. The division of the groups  based on the class grade, they were class  1, 2, and 3 belonging to the first group while the class 4, 5, and 6 were belonging to the second group. Every group was guided by an instructure to give gudance for the participantsto understand the lesson plan format based on the curriculum of 2013 and asked to practice  the  lesson  plaan arranging.  The result  of  the  competitive social  service program (PAKOM) for the MIM’s teachers in Matesih subregency can be stated as successful. The indication was the target reached e.i. 100% of the teachers couldconstruct the lesson plan based on the curriculum of 2013.

Abstract

The availability of water is a problem for the people of Sidomulyo, Krikilan, Sragen at dry season. Having a higher altitude than other areas causes the water from the government water supply company difficult, reaching the area, particularly at the peak time. Some people using water from bore water also have the same problem of limited water. It is, therefore, necessary to bore the deep well for getting enough water to satisfy the people’s needs. The deep level of the well should be enough to assure not to absorb the water source of people’s well. In this program, the well with the deep of 81 m is bored, and PVC water pipes are placed inside the hole assuring only the deep bore water is taken out. This is aimed to avoid taking water from the low-level source, which may reduce the water going to the people’s well. For pumping purposes, the submersible electric pump is used. It is 3 hp, 2500-Watt pump with a capacity of 18 m3 per hour. From the 3-day pumping test, the capacity of well is very enough to provide water needs for the 34 families of Sidomulyo. High-water storage with the dimension of (2.4 x 2.4 x 2) m3 has been constructed with a height of 7.4 m to the tank base. The power source is currently from the electrical utility but is planned will be from Solar Photovoltaic. From a financial perspective, the revenue from the water bill will support community activities.

Abstract

Pemasok nata de coco lembaran bagi CV. Agrindo Suprafood Yogyakarta merupakan suatu bagian yang penting bagi perusahaan. Saat ini, di perusahaan dalam melakukan pemilihan pemasok tidak kontrak menjadi pemasok kontrak terkadang mengalami kesulitan. Kesulitan terebut terjadi karena belum adanya kriteria yang secara rinci dapat dipergunakan untuk pemilihan pemasok. Sehingga pada penelitian ini akan berusahaan menemukan kriteria-kriteria yang berpengaruh dalam pemilihan pemasok. Pengolahan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). Selain itu, model yang telah dibuat akan diimplementasikan menjadi suatu Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK). Kriteria yang dapat mempengeruhi pemilihan pemasok adalah jumlah total, jumlah total kualitas satu, jumlah total kualitas dua, jumlah total nata rusak, jumlah pengiriman maksimal, jumlah maksimal kualitas satu, jumlah maksimal kualitas dua, jumlah maksimal rusak, jumlah pengiriman minimal, jumlah minimal kualitas satu, jumlah minimal kualitas dua, jumlah minimal rusak, kerutinan, harga kualitas satu dan harga kualitas dua. Di samping itu, berdasarkan hasil pengujian Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) yang telah dibuat diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa sistem yang telah dibuat dapat dipergunakan nantinya oleh CV. Agrindo Suprafood Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This paper is discus about silicon nitride ceramics in application to ball bearing. Silicon nitride (Si3N4) have advance properties such as consistent at temperatureoperation up to 1000°C, greater thermal shock resistance, lower density and low thermal expansion. This properties gives some benefit for ball bearing material such as higher running speed, reduce vibration of the shaft, will improve the life time and maintenance cost, lower heat generated, less energy consumption, lower wear rate, reducing noise level and reduce of using lubricant.The sintering methods are used to produce ball bearing from silicon nitride. Some techniques can be applied to increase ceramics strength which are reduce porosity, reduce grain size, reduce surface flaw and proof stressing.The surface finishing of the ceramic bearing is very important because silicon nitride as a brittle material, its strength is limited to the flaw sizes especially the flaw at the surface.

Abstract

Modeling layout of engines in the factory is very useful to know how many dB sound pressure level that are occur in the building in order to avoid hearing damage of employees that are caused by noise. The objective of this research is to know how many dB sound pressure level that are occur in the factory with engine composition such as boiler, diesel, turbine, motor and gear box with dimension of building are 40 m length, 35 m width and 10 m height. With MATLAB analysis can be obtain that the highest SPL is 104.7 dB and the lowest is 93.5 dB, so, this range are dangerous for human hearing. To avoid hearing damage in this area, employees must use hearing protector.

Abstract

This study aimed to measure the effect of work-family conflict on employee performance of the part-time employee of a packaging industry in Tangerang which are mediated by readiness for change. Data collection was done by simple random sampling technique and the returned and valid questionnaire results were 143 participants. Data processing was used SEM method with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of this study concluded that work-family conflict have negative and significant effect on the employee performance, but work-family conflict have a positive and significant effect on readiness for change. Also, this research found that readiness for change have a positive and significant effect on relationship work-family conflict and employee performance. Readiness for change as fully mediator. This new research proposed a model for building employee performance among the part-time employee of a packaging industry in Tangerang through enhancing work-family conflict management practice with readiness for change as a mediator. This research could pave the way to improve employee readiness in facing the era of industrial revolution 4.0. Keywords: Employee Performance, Readiness for Change, Work-Family Conflict
