Abstract

The disseminator and participant of deviant’s sects can be accused as an “apostate” or “murtad”. They have committed “hudud crime” or “jarimah hudud” and can be punished by death sentence or subsidiary sanction. Nevertheless, the sanctions cannot be implemented because Indonesia is not Islamic state. There is no law enforcement towards the participant of deviant sects. But, they are only requested to be mass repented. The argumentation is that the participants of deviant’s sects are only a victim, so the process of law enforcement must be adjusted to the leader or disseminator of deviant sects.

Abstract

Preparation of court is one of factors that influences effectiveness of Act. The aim of this research is to know about preparation of Religious Court in Special Region of Yogyakarta to settle syariah economic case that be mentioned in Act number 3 of 2006 about changing of act number 7 of 1989 about Religious Court. Based on this research, Religious Courts in Special Region of Yogyakarta are not ready to settle syariah economic case as mentioned in Act number 3 of 2006 yet. There are some obstacles that be faced Religious Court to do the authority, that is, first, there is not Code of Syariah Economic yet, second, uncapability of judges, and third, facilities are not enough.

Abstract

Salah satu bentuk instrumen penelitian yang umumnya digunakan dalam penelitian survei adalah kuesioner. Kuesioner yang baru disusun harus melalui pengembangan untuk menentukan validitas dan reliabilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kuesioner yang layak digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa respons mahasiswa tentang monografi dan pemanfaatannya sebagai sumber belajar. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif  dengan 5 tahap utama yaitu perumusan latar belakang, konseptualisasi, format dan analisis, penentuan validitas dan  penentuan reliabilitas. Validitas ditentukan berdasarkan validitas konten yang diperoleh dari penilaian pakar, serta uji korelasi Pearson dengan data yang diperoleh dari 84 responden, sedangkan reliabilitas ditentukan berdasarkan skor alfa Cronbach. Kuesioner yang dikembangkan bersifat tertutup, yang terbagi menjadi empat aspek yaitu konten monografi, organisasi penulisan monografi, karakteristik monografi dan monografi sebagai sumber belajar. Format pengukuran menggunakan skala Likert, 1- 4, 1 (tidak setuju), 2 (kurang setuju), 3 (setuju), dan 4 (sangat setuju). Hasil uji korelasi Pearson mengindikasikan bahwa semua butir pernyataan valid, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,01), sedangkan reliabilitas termasuk excellent dengan koefisien alfa Cronbach sebesar 0,962. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa, 21 pernyataan dinyatakan valid dan sangat reliabel, dengan rincian 3 untuk aspek konten, 7 untuk aspek organisasi penulisan, 4 untuk aspek karakteristik dan 7 untuk aspek sumber belajar. Penelitian ini telah menghasilkan kuesioner dengan kategori layak sebagai instrumen penelitian untuk mengakses respons mahasiswa tentang monografi dan pemanfaatannya sebagai sumber belajar.

Abstract

The development of teaching materials and learning media used by teachers in providing lessons is expected to help students master basic competencies. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method, data collection is used essay tests. 23 Bandar Lampung. The population is 239 students spread over 6 classes. In the study, two classes were sampled, namely class VII D and VII E, totaling 80 students. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique. Data analysis using the t test formula. From the results of hypothesis testing using the statistical formula t-test, it was obtained thit = 4.71, in the similarity test the two averages for  = 0,05 were obtained   = 2.00, and For = 0.01 obtained   = 2.66. Because thit > tdaf f then the hypothesis Ho is rejected, meaning Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that "there is an effect of applying the development of teaching materials and learning media in teaching mathematics to mathematics learning outcomes in class VII students in even semesters of SMP Negeri 23 Bandar Lampung. and For = 0.01 obtained =  = 2.39. Because thit > tdaf Ho is rejected, it means that Ha is accepted at the level of significance of   = 0.05 or 0.01, the value of thit is greater. Thus it was concluded that: "The average mathematics learning outcomes of students with the development of teaching materials and learning media are higher than the average mathematics learning outcomes of students without the development of teaching materials and learning media"

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate students' understanding of the nature of science (NOS) in project-based learning combined with mind mapping (PjBL-MM), students' NOS understanding across gender, and PjBL-MM and gender interaction's effect on students' NOS understanding of conservation education. It employed a pretest-post-test non-equivalent group design. The research population consisted of first-year students at the Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. Thus, the study consisted of 98 students (40 males and 58 females) selected randomly from three different classes. The students' NOS understanding was assessed using the views of NOS type B questionnaire. The learning models' effectiveness was tested using ANCOVA. The results showed a significant difference in students' NOS understanding, PjBL-MM group reported the highest NOS score among all treatment groups in the Conservation education course. There is a significant difference NOS understanding between male and female students. Females outperformed males in NOS understanding. However, PjBL-MM and gender interaction did not affect students' NOS understanding. This study is expected to encourage the implementation of PjBL-MM to improve the students' NOS understanding. The educators are also expected to empower NOS understanding through students' active participation in science by implementing project-based learning combined with mind mapping techniques.

Abstract

Today's world necessitates information literacy and communication abilities. Mastery of information literacy and communication skills has a long-term impact on students' careers, hence information literacy and communication skills should be taught from the beginning of the lecture, while students are still in first year. This study aimed to assess information literacy skills and communication skills of students in Biology department, State University of  Makassar. The population of this study was all first year students (six classes), in the academic year of 2018/2019, who took the General Biology Course. Three classes (N = 112) became samples of this research. The research instruments were rubric of information literacy skills and communication skills. Two observers were employed to examine students skill occurring in four meetings course. The study found that Biology student information literacy skills are generally in progress level. Meanwhile, the majority of the students’ communication skills are in able tier level (level 2). The results of mapping information literacy and student communication skills can be used as input for educators in designing learning.

Abstract

The development of internet-based social media is in line with the times. Social media, which initially functioned as a medium for making friends, interacting, has now shifted its function to become a marketing medium. Currently, social media users in Indonesia are around 202 million people (73.7% of the total population). It shows the massive potential for the use of social media in Indonesia and the vast market potential in Indonesia. This study aims to study the effect of social media's effectiveness on the public's enthusiasm to register at the Kendal Industrial Polytechnic, analyze the best types of social media that can be used in the new student recruitment process. The research stages that will be carried out include literature study, data collection, data processing using AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process). The results of this study found that the highest AHP value was social media Instagram, followed by Twitter and YouTube. So it can be concluded that the most effective social media in increasing public interest in registering at the Furniture and Wood Processing Industry Polytechnic is Instagram.

Abstract

Piper is a genus of the family Piperaceae which has a very large number, in the tropics and sub-tropics. There are about 22 species of Piper which are registered in medicinal herbs and world herbs, one of which is Java chili (Piper retrofractum Vahl.). The morphological characters of P. retrofractum are different in various planting centers, especially the leaf and fruit characters vary. Limitations of morphological characters encourage the use of molecular characters. The purpose of this study was to analyze the molecular character of Java chilli (P. retrofractum) on the island of Java using ISSR (Inter simple sequence repeat) markers. Molecular markers can provide relatively more accurate information because genetic traits tend to be stable in environmental changes and not influenced by age. Leaves from 12 different locations were isolated using the SDS method. Amplification was carried out using 12 ISSR polymers. Data is analyzed using the NTSYS version 2.02 program. The results showed that the amplification of P. retrofractum DNA produced 70 polymorphic DNA bands. The dendrogram results from 12 sampling locations showed that P. retrofractum on Java Island had a similarity coefficient of 0.69-0.93. This shows that genetic diversity based on ISSR markers from P. retrofractum Vahl is relatively low.

Abstract

In the 2019 political year, social media has a very strategic role. In addition, the frequency of the emergence of hate speech and hoax news are even higher in the 2019 Election. Bawaslu as a supervisory institution has an important role to provide education to prevent election violations. So, in this study, researchers want to find out how the role and strategy of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) of North Sumatera Province prevent violations in the 2019 Election via social media. The formulation of the problem in this study is as follows: (1) What is the strategy of the North Sumatera Province Bawaslu in an effort to prevent violations of the 2019 Election via social media, (2) What is the role of the North Sumatera Province Bawaslu in an effort to prevent violations of the 2019 Election via social media. The purpose of this study is to find out and understand what the strategy and role of the Bawaslu of North Sumatera Province in an effort to prevent violations of the 2019 General Election via social media. In this study, data processing and presentation is carried out using qualitative analysis techniques with research procedures that are to explain, manage, describe and interpret research results as a feature, character, or description of certain conditions, or phenomena as answers to the problems studied. Data collection techniques are in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. This research uses democratic election theory, supervisory theory and institutionalism approach.

Abstract

Nowadays, congestion in communication networks has been more intractable than ever before due to the explosive growth of network scale and multimedia traffic. Active queue management (AQM) algorithms had been proposed to alleviate congestion to improve quality of service (QoS), but existing algorithms often suffer from some flaws in one aspect or another. In this paper, a novel AQM algorithm with adaptive reference queue threshold (ARTAQM) is proposed of which the main innovative contributions are recounted as follows. First, traffic is predicted to calculate the packet loss ratio (PLR) and the traffic rate based on traffic prediction algorithm. Second, by means of periodical measurements, a weighted PLR is obtained to dynamically adjust packet dropping probability in ARTAQM algorithm. Third, ARTAQM algorithm runs in both coarse and fine granularities. In coarse granularity, the mismatch of the predicted traffic rate and link capacity can adjusts the reference queue length in every period, while in fine granularity, reference queue remains fixed and the  instantaneous queue is adjusted packet by packet in one period. Simulation results indicate that ARTAQM algorithm not only maintains stable queue and fast response speed, but has lower PLR and higher link utilization as well. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i5.1274
