Abstract

This study discusses the application of adaptation and variation techniques in the subtitles of Alephia 2053, an Arabic-language animated film with a dystopian theme that is rich in social and political criticism. The main focus of this study is how translators convey the meaning of the source language dialogue into Indonesian while considering cultural context, emotional expression, and the dramatic and communicative effectiveness of the message. This study applies a qualitative descriptive method, using Molina and Albir’s classification of translation techniques as an analytical framework to examine specific instances of subtitle translation in the film. Data was collected from the official subtitles of the film and analyzed to examine the forms and functions of the use of adaptation and variation techniques. The results of the study indicate that adaptation techniques are widely used to align meaning with the cultural context of Indonesia, particularly in idiomatic and emotionally charged expressions. In expressions with idiomatic and emotional content. Meanwhile, variation techniques appear in the form of changes in sentence structure, additional emotional intensity, and alignment of speaking style to feel natural in the target language. Both techniques have proven effective in reviving the narrative message of the film without sacrificing meaning accuracy. This study that success in audiovisual translation is largely determined by the translator's ability to understand linguistic and cultural nuances, as well as their sensitivity to the accompanying visual and audio dynamics.

Abstract

This study examines the representation of power and leadership in the Wawacan Abdul Muluk, a classic Sundanese literary work that holds significant value in Indonesian literary heritage. Through textual analysis and literary hermeneutics, this study aims to identify the leadership values ​​contained in the manuscript, particularly those related to the concept of power from an Islamic perspective. The results show that Wawacan Abdul Muluk presents an ideal leadership model, emphasising three main dimensions: the legitimacy of power derived from noble descent and moral virtue; the exercise of power oriented towards justice and the welfare of the people; and the regeneration of leadership through education and character building. This manuscript reflects the integration of Islamic values ​​with the Sundanese leadership tradition, emphasizing the importance of morality, competence, and social responsibility in exercising power. The findings of this study contribute to understanding the concept of leadership in classical Indonesian literature and its relevance to the development of leadership grounded in local and Islamic values in the contemporary era.

Abstract

Peningkatan kesejahteraan dan distribusi Pembangunan merupakan sasaran dari pembangunan ekonomi di sebuah negara. Pertumbuhan ekonomi yang signifikan perlu sejalan dengan distribusi pendapatan yang merata. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak pertumbuhan ekonomi dan Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan di provinsi Banten pada tahun 2020-2024. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan Jenis data sekunder yang berasal dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Data yang digunakan terdiri dari data panel delapan kabupaten dan kota di provinsi Banten dengan total 40 data. Analisis data dengan statistik deskriptif, pengujian model, pengujian asumsi klasik, regresi panel, pengujian hipotesis, serta pengujian determinasi menggunakan Eviews 12. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan ekonomi tidak berdampak pada ketimpangan pendapatan. Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) memiliki dampak yang positif dan signifikan terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan. Pertumbuhan ekonomi dan indeks Pembangunan Manusia secara bersamaan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan. Koefisien Determinasi sebesar 0,136 atau 13,6% menunjukkan bahwa variabel independen memiliki pengaruh yang lemah terhadap variabel dependen.

Abstract

Traditional historiography such as Babad Lombok contains many cultures, one of which is about women. Babad Lombok contains the genealogy of the Prophet, the Menak in Lombok, and Islamization in Lombok. Through a philological and hermeneutic approach, the interpretation of Babad Lombok is mainly through the perspective of Muslim women. Islamization which was first carried out by Sunan Prapen made the Lombok Kingdom an Islamic Kingdom. Islam or not is shown through women who embrace Islam or not in this region. As a result of the women who did not convert to Islam, there was a war between Sunan Prapen and the Lombok community who had not embraced Islam until finally Lombok was divided into three parts. Furthermore, Islamization was carried out by Rangkesari as the king of Selaparang. Furthermore, Selaparang was made the capital of the Lombok Kingdom which had embraced Islam. Prabu Anom, Rangkesari's successor, made the Selaparang Kingdom in this case Lombok reach the peak of its glory. Princess Bayan became the person behind the glory carried out by Prabu Anom by doing good deeds by accepting polygamy carried out by her husband. Good deeds were carried out after there was a policy within oneself. This acceptance uses faith with knowledge so that the evidence speaks of the virtues he carried out for the Islamization carried out in the Kingdom of Lombok in the glory days of his time.

Abstract

This study analyzes the use of deixis elements in the news "KPK Reveals Riza Chalid's Connection with the Corruption Suspect in the Procurement of Catalysts" published by Kompas.com on October 22, 2025, using Stephen C. Levinson's (1983) deixis theory, which includes personal, spatial, temporal, social, and discourse deixis. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a listening and note-taking technique to identify linguistic data that appears in the text. The results show that deixis in the news not only functions as a linguistic reference marker, but also as a pragmatic device that plays a role in forming the context and framing of information. Personal deixis is used to indicate the position of participants and maintain the objectivity of journalistic narratives, while spatial and temporal deixis function to clarify the location, time, and chronology of events so that the information is presented coherently and easily followed. Social deixis is seen through the use of titles, positions, and forms of address that reflect the hierarchy and power relations between law enforcement agencies and the parties reported on. Meanwhile, discourse deixis plays a role in maintaining text cohesion and coherence through linking sentences and sections. This finding confirms that the choice of deictic forms in news texts has significant pragmatic implications in shaping the construction of meaning and influencing readers' perceptions of reported legal events. Thus, deictic analysis can be an important instrument for understanding how the media constructs reality through language.

Abstract

Badminton is a net/wall game commonly taught in school physical education. It requires not only technical proficiency but also tactical awareness, decision-making, spatial understanding, and meaningful game performance. However, badminton instruction in schools is still often dominated by isolated technical drills, which may limit students' ability to transfer skills into authentic game situations. Game-Based Approaches and Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) offer a pedagogical alternative by placing modified games, tactical problems, questioning, and contextualized skill execution at the center of learning. This systematic review aims to synthesize recent evidence on the implementation and learning outcomes of game-based and TGfU approaches in school badminton learning. The review was guided by PRISMA 2020. An exploratory search was conducted for articles published between January 2021 and April 2026 using combinations of keywords related to badminton, TGfU, game-based learning, modified games, school students, and physical education. After duplicate removal and title-abstract screening, four potentially relevant studies were examined in full text for preliminary synthesis. The available evidence suggests that game-based and TGfU-related approaches are promising for integrating technical skill development, tactical understanding, decision-making, game performance, and student engagement. The most directly relevant study showed that situated game teaching through set plays produced greater improvement in tactical knowledge, technical ability, and badminton game performance than a technique-focused approach. Game-based and TGfU approaches are pedagogically relevant for badminton learning in schools because they connect skill learning with tactical meaning and active student participation. Nevertheless, the number of recent badminton-specific studies remains limited, indicating the need for more rigorous, transparent, and sport-specific intervention research.

Abstract

Rajungan (Portunus pelagicus Linnaeus, 1758) merupakan komoditas perikanan memiliki nilai komersial tinggi.Berdasarkan Data Statistik Perikanan tahun 2017, bahwa Kabupaten Cirebon merupakan salah satu pusat produksi rajungan terbesar di Jawa Barat. Jaring kejer (gillnet) dan bubu lipat merupakan alat tangkap yang utama untuk menangkap rajungan. Penelitian di Tempat Pendaratan Ikan Gebang Mekar, Cirebon pada bulan September-Oktober 2019 bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data dan informasi alat tangkap yang selektif dan efisien untuk menangkap rajungan. Data primer yang digunakan untuk analisis adalah ukuran lebar karapas dan bobot individu rajungan, dilengkapi dengan wawancara dengan nelayan dan informan kunci. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jaring kejer dengan messize 3,5 inci memiliki selektivitas lebih tinggi dibandingkan bubu lipat. Rajungan hasil tangkapan jaring kejer rata-rata memiliki lebar karapas 14 cm dan bubu lipat pada lebar karapas 13 cm. Hal ini sudah sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan Republik Indonesia nomor 56/PERMEN-KP/2016, yaitu rajungan yang diperbolehkan ditangkap memiliki lebar karapas lebih dari 10 cm. Pengelolaan perikanan rajungan yang rasional melalui penentuan selektivitas alat tangkap diperlukan untuk menciptakan kondisi perikanan berkelanjutan.Blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus Linnaeus, 1758)/BSC is a critical economically valuable fishery commodity and high commercial value. Based on the Fishery Statistics Data in 2017, Cirebon Regency is one of the largest BSC fishing centers in West Java. Gillnet (locally: jaring kejer) and collapsible crab net are commonly used by fishermen to catch crabs. The research was conducted on September-October 2019 at Fish Landing Place Gebang Mekar Cirebon, aimed to get data and information on fishing gears that are more selective and efficient for catching BSC. Data primarily used in this research were carapace width and individual weight of BSC, and interviews of some fishermen and key informants to complete data and information needed. The result showed that gillnets with a mesh size of 3.5 inches were more selective than collapsible crab traps. A carapace width of 14 cm dominated the mean of BSC caught by gillnet, and a collapsible crab net of 13 cm. This was in accordance with Indonesian Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Regulation number 56/PERMEN-KP/2016 where catching BSC was allowed with carapace width more than 10 cm. The rational management for BSC through selectivity fishing gear used needed to create better conditions for sustainable fisheries.

Abstract

This article examines the values ​​of Islamic character in Hikayat Masyhud al-Hakk, volume II, through a philological approach and cultural analysis. This manuscript is not only a literary heritage but also a medium for character education, full of Islamic moral and spiritual values. This study aims to reveal forms of values ​​such as ḥikmah (wisdom), sidq (honesty), amanah (responsibility), shajāʿah (moral courage), tawakkul, and ikhlāṣ (sincerity), which are articulated in the actions and dialogues of the main characters, and enriched by the context of traditional Malay culture. The results of the study show that this tale combines Islamic values ​​with socio-customary norms through language symbolism, narrative structure, and local idioms. These findings emphasize the importance of classical tales as a source of character learning that is relevant to modern education based on local wisdom.

Abstract

The Fitness for Service (FFS) analysis is performed as a quantitative assessment to evaluate the integrity condition of a pipeline. Essentially, FFS assessment helps determine whether equipment components can operate safely despite existing deficiencies. This evaluation is carried out using the Finite Element Method (FEM). In the case of an underwater pipeline that experiences leak due to anchor pull at the flange connection, it undergoes plastic deformation and is lifted approximately 1 meter. As a mitigation step, inspection and repairs have been carried out by the company. Subsequently, modeling is performed to reconstruct the deformation process of the pipeline. Then, analyses are performed for Vortex Induced Vibration (VIV) and fatigue. The results of these analyses indicate that the pipeline is still in an acceptable condition, making it suitable for normal operation. Additionally, flow simulations are considered in the study, with various sensitivities to estimate the remaining service life of the pipeline. Based on sensitivity to flow conditions, the minimum estimated service life of the pipeline is 3 years.

Abstract

Guru di sekolah dasar Tahfidz sering kali menghadapi tantangan besar dalam mengintegrasikan pengajaran Al-Qur’an dengan kemampuan pedagogik modern yang mendukung pembelajaran aktif. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional para guru di SD Tahfidz Ibnu Umar Karawang melalui pelatihan metode pengajaran yang bermakna dan inovatif. Permasalahan utama yang ditemukan di mitra sasaran adalah keterbatasan guru dalam menerapkan pendekatan PAIKEM serta kesulitan dalam menyusun perangkat ajar yang adaptif terhadap prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah kombinasi ceramah interaktif, workshop penyusunan modul/RPP, dan praktik langsung melalui sesi microteaching. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam tiga sesi utama: (1) pemahaman karakteristik peserta didik usia 7–12 tahun berdasarkan aspek kognitif, sosial-emosional, dan psikomotorik; (2) desain pembelajaran bermakna (meaningful learning); serta (3) strategi pembelajaran aktif seperti Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Discovery Learning, dan pembelajaran kooperatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman 15 guru peserta dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang berpusat pada siswa (student-centered) serta kemampuan mengintegrasikan teknologi pembelajaran modern (IPTEKS) seperti Canva dan media interaktif dalam proses KBM.
