Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed the landscape of Islamic preaching (da’wah), particularly in engaging Generation Alpha, a demographic deeply immersed in digital platforms. Traditional da’wah methods, which rely on face-to-face interactions and textual resources, are less effective in reaching this tech-savvy generation. Digital da’wah strategies must be adapted to align with the media consumption habits, cognitive preferences, and interactive engagement styles of Generation Alpha. Understanding the effectiveness of digital platforms in delivering Islamic teachings is crucial for optimizing contemporary da’wah efforts. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of digital da’wah strategies in engaging Generation Alpha by examining content formats, platform choices, and interaction models. A qualitative case study approach is employed, incorporating in-depth interviews with digital da’wah practitioners, content analysis of online Islamic educational materials, and audience engagement metrics. Findings reveal that short-form videos, gamification, and interactive storytelling significantly enhance engagement and message retention among Generation Alpha. Social media platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and interactive learning apps emerge as the most effective channels for digital da’wah. The study concludes that Islamic content must be visually engaging, concise, and interactive to maintain relevance in the digital era. Recommendations for optimizing digital da’wah strategies for Generation Alpha are discussed.

Abstract

The increasing demand for marine ornamental fish, particularly Amphiprion percula, has raised concerns about sustainability due to the heavy reliance on wild-caught specimens. Captive breeding programs offer a viable alternative; however, reproductive success varies significantly depending on the artificial substrates used. This study examines the effects of different substrate types on spawning duration, fertilization rate, and egg hatchability in A. percula under controlled aquaculture conditions. A completely randomized design was implemented, testing four substrate types”cobek (earthenware, control), PVC pipes, ceramic pieces, and asbestos sheets”with three replicates each. Broodstock were maintained in optimized water quality conditions, with regular monitoring of feeding regimes and spawning behavior. The results demonstrated that substrate type significantly influenced reproductive parameters. The shortest spawning interval was observed in the cobek treatment (7 days), while the longest was recorded in the asbestos treatment (32.67 days). Fertilization rates ranged from 96.67% in the cobek treatment to 93.42% in the PVC pipe treatment. Notably, the hatchability of fertilized eggs remained consistently at 100% across all treatments, suggesting that artificial substrates do not compromise embryonic development. Water quality parameters were maintained within optimal ranges throughout the experiment, ensuring a stable rearing environment. This research contributes to the improvement of captive breeding practices, reducing dependency on wild populations and supporting the sustainable trade of marine ornamental fish. Future studies should explore additional factors influencing breeding success, including environmental cues and broodstock conditioning, to further refine aquaculture methodologies.

Abstract

Eels are a valuable economic resource in both local and international markets due to their high nutritional content, particularly their rich vitamin and micronutrient profile. However, their populations face increasing threats from overfishing and habitat degradation, necessitating a deeper understanding of their distribution, growth patterns, and ecological characteristics. This study aimed to identify eel (Anguilla bicolor) species inhabiting the Krueng Sawang River, analyze their length-weight relationships, and assess biometric variations among different sampling locations. Fieldwork was conducted in April and May 2018 across three sampling stations in North Aceh District: Tanoh Anoe (Station 1), Gle Dagang (Station 2), and Babah Krueng (Station 3). A total of 100 eels were collected, with individuals from Station 1 averaging 50.17 cm in length and 237.78 g in weight, those from Station 2 averaging 31.96 cm in length and 135.93 g, and specimens from Station 3 averaging 35.18 cm in length and 148.21 g. Morphological analysis confirmed that all collected specimens belonged to A. bicolor, indicating a homogeneous population within the river system. The length-weight relationship analysis revealed a negative allometric growth pattern, suggesting that increases in length outpace weight gain. These findings provide valuable insights into the population dynamics of A. bicolor in North Aceh, offering essential baseline data for future conservation efforts and the development of sustainable fisheries management strategies.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of profitability on financial performance in Islamic Commercial Banks and the moderating role of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) from 2019 to 2023. Using purposive sampling, 15 banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) were analyzed based on annual reports, though data limitations due to missing or incomplete reports posed challenges. Financial performance was measured by Return on Assets (ROA), while profitability was assessed through Net Profit Margin (NPM). GCG variables included the Independent Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors, Institutional Ownership, Sharia Supervisory Board, and Audit Committee, selected for their role in maintaining financial stability and ensuring compliance with Sharia principles. The results, analyzed using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA), indicate that profitability significantly influences financial performance. However, the Independent Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors, and Institutional Ownership did not strengthen this relationship, likely due to their advisory rather than managerial roles. In contrast, the Sharia Supervisory Board and Audit Committee enhanced the relationship, highlighting the importance of Sharia compliance and financial oversight. The study is limited by sample size and data constraints, impacting result generalizability. Future research should expand the sample and explore additional governance mechanisms unique to Islamic banking to provide deeper insights into financial performance determinants.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of corporate investment and government expenditure on regional original revenue (Pendapatan Asli Daerah or PAD) in Central Java Province during the period of 2021 to 2023. The research specifically tests the hypotheses that (1) corporate investment has a positive and significant effect on regional revenue, and (2) government expenditure has a positive and significant effect on regional revenue. Using a multiple linear regression model, the analysis incorporates classical assumption tests, including normality, multicollinearity, autocorrelation, and heteroscedasticity, alongside statistical evaluations such as R, adjusted R², F-tests, and t-tests, processed using SPSS. The study uses secondary data obtained from government publications and official investment reports at the provincial level. Findings indicate that both corporate investment and government expenditure have a statistically significant positive impact on regional revenue in Central Java. The model shows a relatively high adjusted R² value, confirming a strong explanatory power of the independent variables on the dependent variable. Multicollinearity diagnostics show acceptable Variance Inflation Factor (VIF) values, indicating that multicollinearity is not a concern in the model. These results underscore the vital role of both investment and public expenditure in driving fiscal performance at the regional level.

Abstract

This research investigates how financial leverage, firm size, and profitability influence firm valuation, with capital allocation choices examined as a moderating variable. Specifically, it seeks to answer whether these financial factors significantly affect firm value and whether investment decision proxies strengthen these relationships. Utilizing a quantitative approach, the study analyzes secondary data from the financial statements of conventional banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2020 and 2022. Multiple linear regression assesses direct effects, while moderated regression analysis tests the interaction effects using SPSS software. Financial leverage is measured through the debt-to-equity ratio (DER), firm size by the natural logarithm of total assets (Ln), profitability by return on equity (ROE), capital allocation choices by the price-earnings ratio (PER), and firm valuation by price-to-book value (PBV). Findings reveal that financial leverage and profitability significantly influence firm valuation, while firm size does not. The lack of significance for firm size may reflect that larger banks in Indonesia are not inherently more efficient or value-generating due to structural or operational inefficiencies. Capital allocation choices have a direct, positive effect on firm valuation, but moderate the impact of profitability, rather than leverage or size. This suggests that investors prioritize profitability when making valuation-based investment decisions. These results are consistent with prior studies that highlight the dominant role of profitability in driving firm value, particularly in emerging markets, where size alone does not guarantee performance or market perception.
