Abstract

Pregnancy is a reproductive process that requires special attention so that it runs smoothly because it involves the lives of the mother and fetus (Elisabeth, 2020). Prenatal yoga is one way to prepare mothers physically and psychologically, including reducing anxiety before giving birth. Prenatal Yoga helps expectant mothers prepare themselves to face childbirth with confidence, happiness, comfort, without fear, as well as strengthening and forming body posture. The aim of this service is to increase the knowledge and participation of pregnant women in carrying out prenatal yoga exercises to improve health and reduce discomfort during pregnancy. The steps for this activity consist of establishing relationships, submitting proposals and setting schedules, as well as involving an evaluation process with a question and answer session. This counseling includes lecture methods, discussions, practices, and audio-visual media during prenatal yoga. The result of this community service activity is that 60% of pregnant women had poor knowledge about prenatal yoga before receiving counseling. After being provided with information about prenatal yoga, the knowledge of pregnant women increased by about 90%. The recommendation from the community service group to pregnant women is to improve their health by practicing prenatal yoga, including body movements and breathing techniques that can provide a relaxing effect, help reduce physical stress, and facilitate the delivery process.

Abstract

Early marriage is not a new thing in Indonesia. Early marriage is a phenomenon that is considered normal in the general public. Cases of early marriage are social problems that occur in adolescents, the most victims of early marriage are adolescent girls and occur more in rural areas than in urban areas, early marriage often occurs in poor families, and those with low education. Early marriage is a marriage carriedout by couples before the age of The percentage of the population in PALI district who married at a young age from 2020-2022 was 50% of the population who married at ayoung age, most of whom were women. The purpose of this service is to increase the knowledge of students of SMP N7 Penukal, Air Itam Timur Village, PALI Regency about the impacts and solutions to early marriage. The steps of the activity consist of establishing cooperativerelationships, submitting proposals and setting schedules, and involving process evaluations with question and answer sessions. This counseling involves lecture methods, discussions and questions and answers, audio-visual media. The results of this community service activity are that there is an increase in understanding and knowledge of students of SMP N7 Penukal, Air Itam Timur Village, PALI Regency about the negative impacts and dangers of early marriage and efforts to prevent early marriage. Suggestion There needs to be cooperation from variousparties to prevent early marriages that have negative impacts and continue to make efforts to socialize education on the dangers of early marriage for teenagers.

Abstract

Environmental health is one of the factors influencing the overall health status of the community, particularly in rural areas that still face challenges in waste management and the implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS). Counseling activities serve as an educational approach to guide communities in maintaining environmental cleanliness. This activity aimed to describe the implementation of PHBS counseling in maintaining environmental cleanliness among the community of Serigeni Baru Village. The method used was a community service activity with an evaluative approach using a one group pretest–posttest design. The activity was conducted at the Village Head’s residence for approximately 45 minutes with a total of 30 participants. The results showed that the activity was carried out in an orderly manner and received active participation from the community. Evaluation results indicated an increase in knowledge level, where the proportion of participants in the good category increased from 6 people (20%) in the pretest to 20 people (67%) in the posttest, while the poor category decreased from 14 people (47%) to 3 people (10%). Participants were also actively involved in discussions and able to restate the material delivered. It can be concluded that the PHBS counseling was well implemented and effective in improving community knowledge and supporting efforts to promote environmental cleanliness at the village level.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Glad2Glow product quality on consumer trust and purchasing decisions for Glad2Glow skincare products through the online platform TikTok Shop in Tasikmalaya Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 60 respondents who had previously purchased Glad2Glow skincare products. Data were collected through a questionnaire based on a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. The collected data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) technique with the SmartPLS application. The results indicate that product quality is the strongest factor influencing consumer trust, with a path coefficient of 0.737 (T = 9.938; P = 0.000). Product quality also has a significant effect on purchasing decisions, with a coefficient of 0.505 (T = 6.129; P = 0.000). These findings demonstrate that better product quality increases consumer confidence in the product and encourages stronger purchasing decisions. The study highlights the importance of maintaining product quality as a strategic factor in building consumer trust and improving purchasing behavior in a social commerce environment. Therefore, businesses operating through digital platforms such as TikTok Shop should prioritize product quality to strengthen customer relationships and enhance market competitiveness.

Abstract

Oxidative stress induced by cigarette smoke exposure can cause damage to various organs, including the kidneys and liver. Noni leaves (Morinda citrifolia) are known to possess high antioxidant activity that may protect against such damage. This study aimed to evaluate the histopathological changes in the liver and kidneys of male rats exposed to cigarette smoke and treated with methanol extract of noni leaves. A true experimental design was employed using 40 male rats randomly divided into five groups: a negative control group and four treatment groups exposed to cigarette smoke with varying doses of noni leaf extract (0, 100, 200, and 300 mg/kg body weight) administered for 52 days. Kidney and liver tissues were collected, processed histologically, and stained with hematoxylin-eosin for microscopic examination. The results showed that cigarette smoke exposure caused renal damage characterized by glomerular injury, tubular necrosis, and hemorrhage. However, administration of noni leaf extract, particularly at doses of 200 and 300 mg/kg, demonstrated protective effects by reducing the severity of renal histological damage. These findings suggest that noni leaf extract has a dose-dependent renoprotective potential against oxidative stress induced by cigarette smoke, possibly attributed to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and free radical-scavenging activities. Further research is recommended to explore its hepatoprotective effects and underlying molecular mechanisms.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas dinamika kualitas udara dan dampak sosial akibat aktivitas operasional PLTU Paiton Unit 1–2. Sebagai pembangkit berbahan bakar batu bara, PLTU berperan penting dalam menjaga pasokan listrik namun juga menghasilkan emisi yang berpotensi memengaruhi lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat sekitar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan system dynamics untuk menganalisis hubungan antara konsumsi batu bara, emisi karbon, emisi SO2, kualitas udara ambien, kasus ISPA, dan biaya sosial secara terintegrasi. Model dikembangkan melalui lima sub-struktur utama, yaitu konsumsi batu bara dan emisi karbon, reforestasi dan carbon sink capacity, emisi SO2 dan Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD), dampak kesehatan dan biaya sosial, serta dinamika demografi masyarakat sekitar PLTU. Simulasi dilakukan selama 10 tahun dengan membandingkan kondisi awal dan tiga skenario alternatif, yaitu optimasi Net Plant Heat Rate (NPHR) dan reforestasi, efisiensi FGD dan reforestasi, serta kebijakan terintegrasi. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa skenario kebijakan terintegrasi memberikan hasil terbaik, dengan penurunan konsumsi batu bara sebesar 11,65%, stock emisi karbon 11,38%, kasus ISPA 12,57%, dan akumulasi biaya sosial 10,75%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengendalian dampak lingkungan PLTU lebih efektif apabila dilakukan melalui kombinasi kebijakan teknis dan ekologis secara bersamaan sebagai dasar pengambilan keputusan yang lebih berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Artikel ini menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan konten sosial-politik terhadap partisipasi politik mahasiswa FISIP Unsoed angkatan 2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei eksplanatif untuk melihat pengaruh antara intensitas akses konten sosial-politik dan tingkat partisipasi politik mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, regresi linear sederhana, serta uji t untuk menguji signifikansi pengaruh antarvariabel. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan 273 mahasiswa untuk mewakili lima jurusan di FISIP Unsoed. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa paling banyak mengakses konten informatif seperti berita dan kebijakan politik, sementara konten edukasi dan advokasi jarang diakses. Bentuk partisipasi politik yang paling dominan dilakukan mahasiswa adalah membagikan pamflet politik dan yang paling rendah adalah membuat konten politik sendiri serta sebagian kecil hanya memberikan komentar pada konten politik di media sosial. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan, di mana meningkatnya intensitas interaksi dengan konten sosial-politik turut meningkatkan partisipasi politik mahasiswa baik secara daring maupun luring.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of different planting media on the growth and production of pakcoy plants (Brassica rapa L.) in the hydroponic system. The research design used a Group Random Design (RAK) with five treatments and five replicates. The treatment provided was in the form of wood charcoal planting media, rockwool, sponges, cocopeat, and burnt husks. The parameters observed included plant height, leaf width, number of leaves, total fresh weight, and the production of pakcoy plants. The results of the study show that the planting medium has a real influence on all growth and production parameters. The highest plant height reaches 20.99 cm, leaves width 8.96 cm, number of leaves 11.06 leaves, total fresh weight of 165.00 g, and production yield of 991.71 g. Rockwool and cocopeat planting media have proven to be the most effective in increasing the growth and production of pakcoy plants compared to other media. The advantage of rockwool lies in the ability to retain optimal moisture and aeration, while cocopeat has a good capacity to retain water and nutrients. Thus, the selection of the right planting medium is an important factor in the success of pakcoy cultivation in the hydroponic system, and can be used as a reference for farmers in increasing the productivity of horticultural crops in a sustainable manner.
