Abstract

The government has made substantial investments in infrastructure to enhance the welfare of farmers in rural areas, which remain vulnerable to poverty. Agricultural infrastructure, including roads, irrigation systems, and storage facilities, is crucial in improving farmers’ household income and expenditure. However, the impact of infrastructure development is not evenly distributed across different income groups. This study aimed to analyze the effect of agricultural infrastructure on the welfare of rural farming households using the Unconditional Quantile Regression (UQR) method. The research was conducted in Gondowangi Village, Wagir District, Malang, involving 100 randomly selected respondents. The findings revealed that agricultural infrastructure positively and significantly influences household income across all income quantiles. Households with higher incomes (80th quantile) benefited more from infrastructure, primarily through improved market access and reduced transportation costs. Conversely, the effect on household expenditure was more pronounced among lower-income households (20th quantile), reflecting improved access to basic needs. These results highlight the importance of a heterogeneous approach in agricultural infrastructure development. Policies prioritizing better access to markets, transportation, and essential services can significantly benefit low-income farming households while enhancing rural economic resilience. This approach is crucial for reducing inequality and fostering sustainable rural development.

Abstract

This study explores how transformational and servant leadership influence nurses’ Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. Using the quantitative method, data from 70 respondents were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using SEM-PLS. The findings indicate that transformational and servant leadership have a significant positive impact on job satisfaction. Transformational leadership also has a significant positive effect on OCB. However, servant leadership and job satisfaction do not significantly affect OCB. In addition, job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between the two leadership styles and OCB. These results highlight the importance of transformational leadership in influencing OCB. Future research is suggested to add other mediating or moderating variables for deeper understanding.

Abstract

Sanggar Bibib is a well-known makeup artist service provider in Prabumulih City. Sanggar Bibib's booking system is still conventional, relying on old methods such as SMS, telephone, WhatsApp, or in-person meetings, because it lacks a systematic ordering system and underutilizes existing technology. Furthermore, potential customers are still embarrassed to ask about the price of makeup services. Based on the results of this research, the author attempted to design an Android-based booking system to facilitate the process of ordering makeup artist services at Sanggar Bibib. This booking system is expected to enable ordering so that negotiations are not lengthy and potential customers don't have to ask directly to find out the price list

Abstract

Preterm labor is a major challenge in maternal and neonatal health because it contributes to high rates of newborn morbidity and mortality. Early detection is crucial, but conventional static approaches often fail to identify risks accurately and in a timely manner. This study proposes the development of a dynamic machine learning-based preterm birth risk prediction model using the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) architecture combined with the Bayesian Updating approach. The model is designed to process multivariate time-series data from various clinical sources such as EHR (electronic medical record), EHG (electrohysterography), CTG (cardiotocography), and vital signals collected longitudinally during pregnancy. By leveraging LSTM's ability to capture long-term temporal relationships and Bayesian probabilistic renewal mechanisms, the model is able to provide real-time and adaptive estimates of preterm labor risk on a weekly basis. Risk prediction results are visualized in the form of interactive graphs with risk categorization (low, medium, high) to support fast and accurate clinical interpretation. The study used simulated data on 500 pregnant patients and showed that the system can adjust risk predictions as new data comes in. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of artificial intelligence-based clinical decision support systems for pregnancy monitoring. Going forward, integration with real clinical data and external validation in the hospital environment is expected to improve the accuracy and implementability of the system in daily medical practice.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Indonesia from 2010 to 2023. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and other relevant institutions. The analysis reveals a positive long-term relationship between FDI and GDP growth. Although in certain periods an increase in FDI was not immediately followed by a surge in economic growth, the data generally indicate that FDI has a significant contribution to GDP growth, especially when directed toward strategic sectors. The study also finds that the effectiveness of FDI in promoting economic growth is strongly influenced by factors such as infrastructure quality, macroeconomic stability, and supportive investment regulations. These findings are consistent with previous studies that emphasize the importance of the domestic environment in maximizing the benefits of FDI. Therefore, appropriate policies are needed to enhance investment competitiveness and optimize the positive impact of FDI on national economic development
