Abstract

Every Indonesian citizen has the right to get a decent job as stated in the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Article 27 paragraph (2), however, due to limited job opportunities in Indonesia, many Indonesian citizens choose to work abroad. Therefore, the government has facilitated access to work abroad. Then, because of the increasing number of cases of human trafficking that occur among workers from Indonesia which is caused by the massive distribution of illegal labor, there are also legal regulations that regulate this matter, namely Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning Eradication of the Criminal Act of Trafficking in Persons and Government Regulation Number 46 of 2015 concerning Handling Victims of Human Trafficking Crimes. The method used is normative juridical research which focuses on das sein and das sollen, accompanied by data analysis of human trafficking cases to find out the factors of increasing cases of human trafficking in workers in Indonesia, then provide solution suggestions for the government to reduce the problem of illegal labor distribution. with a mass outreach program to the public containing an explanation of the legal protection of migrant workers, the risks of illegal workers, as well as legal conditions for working abroad.

Abstract

This paper seeks to formulate an ideal concept in campaigning for religious moderation in Indonesia through the use of Facebook. There are three things that underlie this study, 1) The mass movement of radicalism in the name of religion in Social Media; 2) Potential conflicts on the basis of SARA; 3) The importance of efforts to strengthen religious moderation in Indonesia based on social media. The idea of religious moderation must be strengthened by the national movement. The library research method (library study) becomes the scientific foundation for exploring various literature, both primary and secondary related to the concept of religious moderation in Indonesia. The results of this study offer a message form and strategy in campaigning for religious moderation on Facebook. First, the form of a religious moderation campaign on Facebook must be ideologically-oriented (oriented towards changing attitudes, behavior and public views). Second, campaign messages must be informative and persuasive (based on data and facts) and can influence other Facebook users to participate in creating campaigns (social campaigns) on religious moderation. A religious moderation campaign message on Facebook does not necessarily have to content writing, it can also be an illustrative (animated) picture or a short educational video.

Abstract

The appearance of religion in television media tends to be colored by the principles of commercialization and capitalism. The religious program is presented not only has an impact on the exchange of values (change values) but also on the exchange of money (change money). With a descriptive qualitative approach, this article seeks to explain the appearance of religion in several religious programs broadcast by several Indonesian television media. The observation method was used to identify several religious programs and controversial dramas, such as the drama "Bubur Naik Pilgrimage" on RCTI, Haji Medit drama on SCTV, and drama "Azab" on Indosiar. The result is that religious programs and dramas where shown on television are commercialized to attract the attention of the audience and increase ratings. So this is what led to the commodification of religion in several television media in Indonesia. The commodification of religion in Indonesian television media appeared during the month of Ramadan.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The world of work considers that graduates with high competence are those who have technical skills, soft skills and good behavior. In addition to attaching importance to the aspect of ability to acquire and work together to compete in the labor market competition, the concept of personal branding is important as a tool to win the competition. A friendly and always confident character coupled with problem-solving skills has become a personal branding for a student to be ready to face competition in the world of work. In addition to personal branding in the real world, it turns out that personal branding in cyberspace is no less important as a digital footprint that continues to be recorded. The current aspect of social media is quite a consideration for new HR recruiters in every company. The collection of research data was carried out online through a google form using a structured questionnaire. A total of 52 research samples were recruited using the purposive sampling method. This study uses the SmartPLS statistical analysis tool to process data. The results of the study show that soft skills and social media from students have a significant positive effect on student work readiness. Meanwhile, daily behavior is considered to have no effect on students' work readiness. The value of R2 = 0.471 explains that around 47% of the variance of the student work readiness variable is caused by the soft skill variable and student social media in the model.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the jigsaw cooperative learning model on students’ motivation in mathematics learning. A quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design was employed. The population consisted of eighth-grade students, from which one class of 41 students was selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a mathematics learning motivation questionnaire. Descriptive statistics were used to describe students’ motivation levels, while inferential statistics using a t-test were applied to test the research hypothesis. The results showed that students’ motivation in mathematics learning before and after the implementation of the jigsaw cooperative learning model was generally at a moderate level. However, the implementation of the jigsaw model resulted in an increase of 80.48% in overall students’ motivation and a 96% increase across motivation indicators. The t-test results indicated that the calculated t-value (5.6774) exceeded the critical t-value (2.02), demonstrating a statistically significant effect of the jigsaw cooperative learning model on students’ motivation in mathematics learning. These findings suggest that the jigsaw cooperative learning model is an effective instructional strategy for enhancing students’ motivation in mathematics.

Abstract

Adaptive reuse of existing high-rise buildings often introduces severe vertical mass irregularities, particularly when functional changes significantly increase live loads. Unlike previous studies that typically isolate the effects of vertical irregularity or soft soil, this research distinctly quantifies the compounded detriment of top-heavy adaptive reuse, specifically on soft soil sites. This study conducts a forensic seismic assessment of a 15-story reinforced concrete frame that was converted from an office to an archive storage facility, where live loads increased from 2.4 kN/m² to 7.18 kN/m² on the upper floors. Using Nonlinear Static Procedures according to ASCE 41-17 with semi-rigid diaphragm modeling, the structural response is evaluated under Site Class SE conditions. The analysis reveals a "Gravity Strangle" mechanism, where excessive gravity loads from the archive storage consume a significant portion of the primary beam capacity before seismic excitation. The results demonstrate a critical discrepancy: while the global roof drift (1.56%) suggests safe Immediate Occupancy (IO) performance, the maximum inter-story drift spiked to 3.18% at the transition floors. Component-level analysis further reveals that 35% of primary beams at this level suffer severe plastic hinge rotations. These findings confirm that for top-heavy buildings on soft soil, relying solely on global drift indicators is deceptive. The study advocates for mandatory nonlinear component-level verification in future adaptive reuse codes to prevent brittle soft-story failures.
