Abstract

The writing of this article aims to reveal and analyze the importance of implementing non-test evaluation techniques in learning Islamic religious education in order to provide a more real and objective evaluation. The research method used in this writing uses a literature review by attempting to examine and analyze various references in the form of journal articles and the like theoretically. Data collection techniques are processed and analyzed in order to become a clear concept and scientific development. This study concludes (1) The concept of non-test type evaluation is a series of techniques in learning evaluation to measure the psychomotor and affective aspects of students; (2) Non-test evaluation techniques in Islamic religious education learning consist of four, namely observation, interviews, projects and portfolios which are the result of selection from other non-test techniques as a simplification effort to have a positive impact on the quality of learning evaluation; and (3) Techniques in evaluating Islamic religious education learning still have problems to be applied, but in the current era of artificial intelligence or AI-based technology development there is no reason for teachers not to answer these challenges. AI can be used as a tool in alleviating problems in evaluation.

Abstract

Assessment is one of the external factors that greatly affects learners' learning outcomes. Assessment aims to help learners identify and recognize the difficulties they face in learning activities. One of the principles of assessment is comprehensive and continuous, thus teachers must use a variety of appropriate assessment techniques and cover all aspects of competence to monitor the development of students' abilities. One of the assessment media uses an assessment rubric. This writing method focuses on library research, which is a research that focuses on collecting library data. A rubric is a tool that contains a set of criteria (things that become objectives) used to measure/assess performance/tasks. Rubrics are also commonly used in assessing a performance. An assessment rubric has four main components, namely task description, assessment category, category description and rating scale plus a title. These components are written in the rubric format according to the needs. There are two types of assessment rubrics, namely holistic and analytic types. The preparation can follow the stages of rubric writing, starting from determining the purpose of the assessment to the final stage of receiving input and making revisions and adjustments to the assessment rubric.

Abstract

Improving the quality of basic education is a persistent challenge, particularly for private schools in semi-urban areas with limited resources and weak community involvement. This study explores effective school-community collaboration strategies to support basic education quality through a case study at SD Muslimin Panyawungan 02, Bandung Regency. A qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design was used. Data were gathered through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the principal and teachers, and analysis of documentation. Findings show that collaboration includes financial support, participation in religious and social programs such as Islamic holiday events and mass circumcision, and involvement in parenting and character education through P5 (Project-Based Learning). Communication between school and parents occurs via formal meetings and digital platforms like WhatsApp, enhancing engagement. Key barriers include time constraints and limited parental understanding of their role, which are addressed through adaptive strategies. This study supports Epstein’s theory of school-family involvement and Senge’s learning organization concept, framing schools as collaborative learning centers. Inclusive, context-based collaboration proves essential for sustainably improving the quality of basic education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of accreditation as an instrument for strengthening graduate quality, emphasizing both academic excellence and strong religious values. Using a qualitative approach with a literature review method, data were collected from journals, books, educational regulations, and national accreditation documents. The findings show that accreditation encourages educational institutions to systematically improve management quality, learning processes, and school culture. However, the religious dimension is not explicitly reflected in the accreditation instruments, and habituation of religious behavior is not yet a primary indicator in graduate quality assessment. Therefore, this study recommends enhancing the integration of religious values into the accreditation system to foster graduates who are not only intellectually competent but also excel in character and spirituality. Theoretically, this study expands understanding of the relationship between quality assurance systems and character education based on religiosity.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the paradigm of learning process in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Bandung City in harmonizing Islamic learning traditions with technological innovations intended to improve the quality of education based on Islamic values. Using a qualitative approach and the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation method, this study collected data through in-depth interviews with the principal as well as direct observation in the learning process. The results of this study show that traditional learning methods such as lectures, memorization and the use of textbooks are still quite relevant in shaping students' moral and spiritual character. Meanwhile, the existence of digital innovations such as E-Learning, gamification platforms, and blended learning has increased the motivation of student engagement in the learning process. However, the challenges of low digital literacy owned by educators and limited access to technology are the main obstacles in implementing digital innovations. This study concludes that the synergy between traditional learning methods and digital innovation is a strategic learning strategy in responding to the challenges of modernity without sacrificing Islamic values. This study recommends digital literacy training for educators, strengthening technological infrastructure and developing a curriculum that is adaptive to the times but still based on Islamic teachings and values. Further research is suggested to explore more specific learning models in the context of technology-based Islamic education to ensure effectiveness in various conditions and developments in the world of education.
