Abstract

This study aims to improve the creativity of grade 1 students through SBdP learning based on industrial agriculture with a collage project at Papringan 02 Elementary School in Klakah District. The type of research used is quantitative research. Where the research design uses an experimental research type. This research was conducted at Papringan 02 Elementary School, Papringan Village, Klakah District, Lumajang Regency in the odd semester of the 2023 academic year. Sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique. The independent variable in this study is the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model, while the dependent variable is students' ability to make inorganic collages. The data collection procedure involves several methods, including pretest-posttest tests, assignments, and observations. The data analysis technique in this study uses quantitative data analysis techniques. Based on the results of the paired sample t-test, it is known that the Sig. (2-tailed) score is 0.002 <0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) can be rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the average value between the results of the Pretest and Posttest. The application of learning with collage projects in SBdP learning has a positive influence in improving students' learning creativity at Papringan 02 Elementary School, Klakah District, Lumajang Regency.

Abstract

The population of children with disabilities in Indonesia reaches 1.6 million children, so appropriate learning activities are needed for children with disabilities in Indonesia. This study aims to identify the differentiated strategies teachers use in the learning process, the roles they play in creating an inclusive learning atmosphere, and the supporting and inhibiting factors that influence their effectiveness. This study uses a descriptive, qualitative approach. The research method used to examine natural object conditions involves triangulation (combined), inductive data analysis, and qualitative research results that emphasise meaning rather than generalisation. Data collection methods use observation, interviews and documentation. Data validity-checking techniques include source triangulation, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. The study's results indicate that teachers play a central role in creating a learning environment that is fair, adaptable, and responsive to each student's needs. This study found that teachers act as learning designers, adjusting learning materials, processes, and products to students' abilities, interests, and learning profiles, including both regular and special needs students. The implications of this research also highlight the need for closer collaboration among class teachers, special assistant teachers, and parents to identify students' learning needs, thereby making the learning process more meaningful and effective

Abstract

The low gross motor skills of early childhood children are evident in the lack of coordination, balance, and agility in performing daily physical activities. This condition indicates the need to implement effective, engaging learning methods, such as rhythmic gymnastics, to stimulate children's gross motor development optimally. The purpose of this study was to analyse rhythmic gymnastics on the gross motor skills of young children. This study used a qualitative, descriptive approach. The subjects were teachers and children in group B at an early childhood education institution. Data collection methods were through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that rhythmic gymnastics planning was carried out systematically, with attention to the characteristics of early childhood development, including the selection of songs and movements, and an enjoyable and educational activity flow. Rhythmic gymnastics was implemented regularly and actively involved children through movements in time with the music, helping develop their balance, coordination, flexibility, and muscle strength. Teachers evaluated the activity closely, paying attention to the process and outcomes of children's participation, and this evaluation served as a basis for improving subsequent activities.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to examine the effect of experimental-based Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on students’ scientific writing and presentation skills in a Basic Physics course. Methodology: The study employed a quasi-experimental posttest-only control group design involving 73 undergraduate students from the Biology Education program. Participants were divided into an experimental group receiving experimental-based PBL instruction and a control group receiving conventional learning. Data were collected using validated rubrics for scientific writing and scientific presentation skills. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, independent samples t-tests, One-Way ANOVA, and the Mann–Whitney U test. Main Findings: The results show that students in the experimental group achieved significantly higher scientific writing scores (M = 562.97) than those in the control group (M = 518.19), with significant differences across most writing components (p < 0.05). One-Way ANOVA results indicate a very large effect size (Partial Eta Squared = 0.970). In addition, scientific presentation skills were significantly higher in the experimental group across all assessed indicators, including contribution, collaboration, confidence, content mastery, and communication (p = 0.000). Novelty/Originality of this study: This study provides empirical evidence that experimental-based PBL effectively enhances both scientific writing and presentation skills in an interdisciplinary Basic Physics learning context. The findings highlight the role of inquiry-oriented and experimental learning in strengthening scientific communication skills and offer practical implications for improving scientific literacy in higher education.

Abstract

The use of instructional media plays a crucial role in the teaching and learning process. Loose parts media function as educational tools that facilitate teachers in developing children's numeracy skills and support the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) approach, which effectively stimulates these abilities. This study aims to enhance the numeracy skills of children aged 5–6 years through the implementation of the STEAM approach using loose parts media. The research employed an experimental method with a quantitative approach and utilized a saturated sampling technique. The sample consisted of 10 children enrolled at Aletheia Christian Kindergarten in Pontianak, comprising 8 boys and 2 girls. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and testing, using a one-group pretest-posttest design (Pre-Experimental Design). Data analysis was conducted using a paired sample t-test with SPSS version 27, which revealed a t-value of -31.432 and a significance level of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001 at α = 0.05 with degrees of freedom (df) = 9. Based on these results, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted while the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected, indicating that the STEAM approach utilizing loose parts media had a statistically significant effect on the development of children's numeracy skills. Therefore, loose parts media can be considered an effective instructional tool for improving numeracy skills in early childhood education

Abstract

Drying coffee beans with a solar dryer is a sustainable solution to improve quality and production efficiency. However, its implementation in the field faces challenges such as high material costs, design complexity, and the gap between physical principles and farmers' socioeconomic conditions. This article analyzes the physical concepts underlying coffee drying using solar dryers, including heat transfer dynamics, numerical modeling-based design optimization (CFD and FEM), and technology integration such as IoT and hybrid systems. A literature review of 20 related studies showed that while solar dryers are theoretically effective, for example through thermal efficiency improvements of up to 40% with vacuum collectors, the use of expensive materials, reliance on fossil energy in hybrid systems, and lack of technical education hinder the adoption of this technology at the farm level. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of local material-based designs such as bamboo, participatory education, and holistic policy interventions to bridge the gap between scientific innovation and field realities.

Abstract

Penyimpanan Atmosfer Terkendali (Controlled Atmosphere Storage/CAS) dan (Modified Atmosphere Storage/MAS) adalah dua buah metode penyimpanan yang memperpanjang umur buah dan sayur dengan mengendalikan konsentrasi gas yang memengaruhi proses pematangan buah dan sayur, termasuk pula buah tropis. Spesies dan kultivar yang berbeda memiliki metabolisme pascapanen yang unik yang mempengaruhi permulaan dan durasi proses pematangan yang berlebihan hingga pembusukan. Buah-buahan klimakterik (misalnya mangga, alpukat, apel) yang terus matang setelah panen menjadi perhatian khusus karena umur simpan pascapanennya seringkali pendek. MAS dan CAS biasanya terdiri dari N2, O2, dan CO2. Rasio O2 dan CO2 yang berubah inilah yang membuat perbedaan dalam pengawetan komoditas pangan. Manfaat utama dari CAS dan MAS adalah kemampuannya dalam mempertahankan kesegaran produk hingga jangka waktu yang lama. Namun, tidak semua buah dan sayuran dapat disimpan menggunakan teknologi ini sehingga dibutuhkan kondisi yang berbeda untuk setiap jenis komoditi agar penyimpanan lebih efektif. Teknologi lainnya yang dapat dikombinasikan dengan penyimpanan dingin adalah Modified Atmosfer Storage (MAS), yang memodifikasi jumlah atau komposisi di dalam tempat penyimpanan tanpa adanya proses kontrol. Penggunaan teknologi ini biasanya mengarah pada buah potong segar (fresh cut fruit) atau produk yang telah terolah minimal (minimally process). Pada artikel ini akan dibahas tentang analisis konsep-konsep fisika yang terdapat dalam kedua teknologi tersebut yaitu Controlled Atmosphere Storage (CAS) dan Modified Atmosphere Storage (MAS) seperti termodinamika.

Abstract

Pengeringan merupakan salah satu tahapan penting dalam pengolahan hasil pertanian, khususnya pada komoditas tembakau. Proses ini bertujuan untuk menurunkan kadar air daun tembakau hingga mencapai tingkat optimal, sehingga mutu, aroma, warna, dan daya simpan tetap terjaga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep-konsep fisika yang diterapkan dalam berbagai teknologi pengeringan tembakau melalui metode studi kepustakaan terhadap 20 jurnal nasional terpilih. Penelaahan dilakukan untuk memahami prinsip-prinsip fisika yang digunakan, seperti kalor, konduksi, konveksi, radiasi, serta pengukuran dan kontrol suhu dan kelembaban dalam teknologi pengering. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa penerapan konsep kalor Q = mcΔT, sistem kontrol otomatis berbasis fuzzy logic, dan pengintegrasian sensor suhu dan kelembaban berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) menjadi solusi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi pengeringan. Teknologi seperti mesin burner biomassa, oven listrik, serta sistem pemantauan suhu-kelembaban digital terbukti mampu menurunkan kadar air secara cepat dan menjaga kualitas tembakau. Selain itu, pemanfaatan bahan bakar alternatif seperti biji jarak, wood pellet, dan briket sekam padi menunjukkan efektivitas dalam menghasilkan kalor tinggi dengan biaya operasional rendah dan ramah lingkungan. Namun demikian, adopsi teknologi ini masih menghadapi kendala, terutama pada keterbatasan pemahaman petani terhadap konsep fisika dan rendahnya akses terhadap infrastruktur teknologi. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya dukungan kebijakan, pelatihan, serta sinergi antara pemerintah, akademisi, dan pelaku usaha agar transfer teknologi dapat berjalan optimal. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan multidisiplin dalam pengembangan teknologi pertanian berbasis sains, khususnya dalam proses pengeringan tembakau yang efisien, presisi, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This article describes the results of a study on the measurement and analysis of magnetic fields in the area around a 150 kV High Voltage Overhead Line (SUTT). The main objective of this study is to assess the magnitude of the magnetic field generated by the SUTT and its potential impact on the environment. The approach used includes direct measurements using special equipment at a number of locations along the SUTT route. The results obtained show that the intensity of the magnetic field varies depending on the proximity of the measurement point to the SUTT, with the highest values ​​recorded at the closest location and decreasing significantly at further distances. The analyzed data show that the detected magnetic field is still within the acceptable threshold based on applicable standards. These findings provide an important picture of the impact of the presence of a 150 kV SUTT on the surrounding environment, and emphasize the importance of continuous monitoring to ensure that the magnetic field level remains safe. This study is expected to be a reference in the management and planning of electricity systems in the future.

Abstract

Pemantulan cahaya merupakan salah satu sifat dasar cahaya yang terjadi ketika berkas cahaya mengenai suatu permukaan dan dipantulkan kembali ke arah tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami hukum pemantulan cahaya serta menentukan hubungan antara sudut datang dan sudut pantul pada berbagai jenis permukaan reflektif, seperti cermin datar, cermin cekung, dan cermin cembung. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengamatan langsung menggunakan sinar laser dan papan optik untuk mengukur sudut datang serta sudut pantul. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa sudut datang sama dengan sudut pantul (i = r) pada semua jenis permukaan yang diamati, sesuai dengan hukum pemantulan cahaya. Selain itu, pada cermin cekung dan cembung terlihat bahwa arah dan fokus pantulan bergantung pada bentuk lengkung permukaan. Kesimpulannya, percobaan ini membuktikan bahwa hukum pemantulan cahaya berlaku universal dan karakteristik pantulan dipengaruhi oleh jenis cermin yang digunakan.
