This research used quasi-experimental research methods using experimental group. The subjects of this research are the students of primary school in Kudus District with 21 students. This research used a Wechsler scale as the measuring instrument that has been widely used in measuring intelligence, one of them is verbal ability. The results showed that the influence of the picture-word (pictorial) inductive model on the Information subtest with 0,38 as its score. Arithmetic Subtest with 0,32 as its score and the Equation Subtest with a score of 0,67. The Analysis and conclusions will be discussed further in this article.  Keywords: Wechsler Scale, Verbal Comprehension, Pictorial Word Inductive Model

Abstract

Background: Colostrum is important for babies because it contains many nutrients and body defense substances. The practice of breastfeeding is still lacking and they prefer to give MP-ASI the reason that the baby grows faster, some even believe that colostrum is excrement that must be disposed of. Constraints in giving colostrum are lack of knowledge and wrong beliefs, many mothers do not give colostrum to their babies, and colostrum will adversely affect the health of babies. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with colostrum breastfeeding.Metode: An analytical descriptive method with the cross sectional approach. The sample of this study was 100 postpartum mothers at the Kudus district health center taken by total sampling, the analysis of this research was carried out by chi-square test, and multivariate analysis with multiple logistic regression. The method used is the enter method. This entry method is carried out repeatedly by removing the independent variable that has the largest p value until leaving the independent variable which has a p value <0.05 in the Wald test. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Results: The most influential factor on colostrum breastfeeding for newborns was the support of health workers having a value (OR = 13,800, 95% CI = 1,570 – 121,266, p = 0.018 with) meaning that respondents who received support from health workers had a probability of 13,800 times the effect of colostrum breastfeeding in newborns compared to respondents who did not receive the support of health workers. Conclusion: There is a relationship between Knowledge, exposure to formula milk and support from health workers with colostrum breastfeeding and no husband support with colostrum breastfeeding

Abstract

This study was designed to investigate the relationship between affective aspects (emotional intelligence) and the speaking skill of students in the English Education study program, as well as the relationship between fifteen elements in the affective aspect (emotional intelligence) and the speaking skill of students in the English Education study program. Sources of data from this study were 120 students from the English Language Education study program at Muria Kudus University. They filled out a Bar-on (1997) Emotional Intelligence questionnaire which was used as an instrument and an online interview whose results were analyzed using Cambridge English Assessing Speaking Performance – Level C1. The results of the analysis using the correlation method show that there is a positive relationship between the affective aspects of students' emotional intelligence from the English Education study program and their speaking skill. Furthermore, this study found that there was a significant positive relationship of the fifteen elements in the affective aspect of emotional intelligence with students' speaking ability. In addition, the results of this analysis indicate that the affective aspect can significantly predict students' speaking ability using the Cambridge speaking ability assessment sheet.

Abstract

The division of roles in society has historically remained faithful to gender, namely male and female.Although the basis of this division still stands, it always causes debate from time to time. DebateThese appear related to the expressions "worthy" and "appropriate". What jobs are appropriate and appropriate for men andappropriate and appropriate for women. Along with the development of society, especially from an agrarian society towardsindustrial society, the appropriate and appropriate measure is constantly changing. Demands for family needs, job opportunities for womenand the high skills and knowledge of women are the reasons why women's roles shift from the domestic sphereinto the public domain. However, because domestic work is considered to have no economic value, women who have beendoing domestic work is less valued than men doing work for a living. StudyThis study aims to see if the shift of women working in the public sphere also has an impact on the same awardagainst men. The research was conducted with qualitative methods. From the first research, it was found that the condition of the community was no longerin accordance with the initial division of roles, that is, men work in the public sphere and women in the domestic sphere. Second,It is true that earning a living is more valued than domestic work. Second, nurture theory is more provennamely the division of roles is not natural but the foam is changed. Third, society really appreciates the role of making a livingcompared to domestic roles.
